She and Wendy walk through the exact tool she hands her private clients to do it: two lists, a rubber band, and 72 hours. They explore:Why old patterns keep sabotaging results years after the moment that created them, and how that "residue" gets stored in the body at a cellular level, not just the mindThe real-time example from Riana's own life (a business relationship blowing up the morning of this interview) and the difference between treating it as something happening to her versus something happening for herHow the 72-hour rubber band practice works step by step, and why three days is enough to start building a new neural pathway instead of reinforcing the old oneRiana's work isn't about excavating the old story to explain why someone feels stuck. It's about clearing the pattern out of the body first, then giving the mind something new and specific to build toward in love, in money, in work, in whatever's next.Connect with Riana:Instagram: instagram.com/rianamaliaRianaMalia.comLinkedIn: linkedin.com/in/rianamaliaThe Extraordinary Love Index: taketheeli.com________________________________________________________________________________________Connect with Wendy:LinkedinInstagram: @wendy.harropFacebook: Phineas Wright HouseWebsite: Phineas Wright House PWH Farm StaysPWH Curated Experience and TravelInterested in being a guest on the show? Hideout & Base Progression – Insight into upgrading your player base, trying out new builds in the shooting range, discovering lore relics, and using compasses to hunt down hidden map locations.

Today, I interview Riana Malia, who grew up through repeated family breakups, broken promises, and the belief that she had to earn love. The instability left her feeling unsettled, too much in some ways and not enough in others, while also teaching her to become deeply resourceful. Those early beliefs followed Riana through marriage, motherhood, financial hardship, betrayal, and relationships where she tried to manage outcomes and become who others needed her to be. Although she went to therapy, read the books, and talked about her experiences, the anger, sadness, and old story continued to shape her life. Her breakthrough came when she realized that repeatedly telling the same story was keeping her inside it. She learned to stand on her story instead, let go of the belief that she had to beg people to love her, and become the same person in every room. That shift helped her break the cycle of broken promises and create a different life.Today, Riana uses what she has learned to help women stop repeating the relationship patterns that no longer serve them. She helps them get clear about who they are, what they want, and the life and love they want to create.__________________Riana Malia is a Board-Certified Neurosomatic Practitioner, Identity Architect, and private authority for women who have built extraordinary lives and refuse to settle for ordinary love. Today's audience caller episode is one I've been so excited to share. Riana is a travel blogger (http://teaspoonofadventure.com) who, after having her daughter in early 2025, did something most new parents run far from: instead of taking a typical parental leave, she and her husband sold almost everything they owned and spent nine months slow-traveling through Canada, France, the UK, and Spain—with a five-month-old baby and their dog in tow. At first glance, this is a trip story. But really, it's a story about permission. Permission to build a life that doesn't fit the mold, permission for a dad to take 15 months of paternity leave when most take a few weeks, and permission to feel the FOMO and the exhaustion of new parenthood while still choosing adventure over fear. We get into everything: how her husband's paternity leave became the centerpiece of the plan, the family pushback (“you're taking my grandbaby away!”), and how they kept relationships close despite being thousands of miles apart. Riana also opens up about money in a way most people never do. She breaks down the full cost of the trip, exactly how much her travel blog earns per month, and where they blew way past their budget. My favorite part of this conversation is when we get into the "vacation vs. trip" debate and how Riana found unexpected joy in the parts of travel she never would've chosen for herself before becoming a mom. If you're a parent, a soon-to-be parent, or just someone who's ever wondered "could I actually do this with a baby?”—this one's for you.

Are you ready to stop reliving your past and break your toxic relationship cycle? Today on Eyes Wide Open, we're joined by subconscious healing expert Riana Malia to discuss the radical intentionality required to clear deep-seated trauma and step into your most authentic self.    Riana shares her incredible journey from a childhood in Minnesota to surviving a high-stakes DEA investigation, and how those pivotal moments led her to develop the "Clear to Create" method to break her toxic relationship cycle   We dive into the "neurological baggage" that keeps so many high-achieving women stuck in cycles of toxic relationships and self-doubt. Riana offers a fresh perspective on why traditional storytelling can actually prolong your pain and how to remove the emotional charge from your history without having to relive it.   We discuss the impact of resentment on trust, the myth of the "conscious" choice, and practical strategies like the Love Index  to identify what is actually blocking your capacity to break your toxic relationship cycle.    Whether you're recovering from a betrayal or simply seeking more alignment with your core values, this conversation provides a roadmap for returning to clarity, self-trust, and permanent healing.   In this episode, you'll learn:  - The 95% Rule: Why the unconscious mind drives nearly all of our behaviors and why healing must happen at the neurological level to be permanent.  - Clearing vs. Reliving: Understanding how to release the "emotional charge" of trauma (the ribbons and marbles) without the pain of reliving the original memories.  - The Resentment Barrier: Why holding onto past rage is the #1 block to breaking toxic relationship cycles for authentic love and how forgiveness serves as a practical tool for personal freedom.  - The Clear-Create-Claim Process: Riana's three-phase methodology for stripping away old narratives, building empowering beliefs, and stepping into a new identity.   - The Story vs. The Self: How to distinguish between the events that happened to you and who you truly are at your core to unlock lasting inner peace. Are you living a life that looks great on paper, but feels like something's missing beneath the surface? You've climbed the ladder, checked all the boxes, yet relationships and real fulfillment seem just out of reach. The cycle of "almost, but not quite" can leave even the most accomplished individuals wondering why old patterns keep resurfacing and why true connection remains elusive. In this episode, listeners will explore how subconscious beliefs, habitual thought patterns, and unresolved emotional baggage shape the dynamics of love and connection. Through practical approaches like interrupting negative cycles, clarifying desires and values, and learning to rewire internal narratives, this conversation offers actionable steps to break free from unhelpful relationship patterns and begin creating the kind of intimacy and fulfillment you truly crave. Riana helps high-achieving women who've built a life they're proud of in their career, family, friendships, and growth, but still feel stuck in the same old love patterns. Through her signature method, she helps them rewire the subconscious beliefs and recode the nervous system responses that have shaped their relationships for decades, so they can finally create extraordinary love that matches the life they've built.   Episode Highlights 04:01 Finding identity during life transitions. 08:31 Getting exactly what you ordered. 11:54 Rewiring neurology and internal beliefs. 13:01 Exploring therapeutic approaches. 17:24 Breaking negative thought patterns. 22:02 Accessing emotions to change behaviors. 24:39 Creating your vision board. 27:56 Shifting to positive self-talk. 31:44 Clearing out mental clutter. 35:04 Shifting mindset and frequency. 42:27 The power of forgiveness. 46:13 Steps to heal relationships.   Your Checklist of Actions to Take Clarify Your Desires: Take time to specifically identify what you truly want in relationships and life, beyond vague wishes, by listing your non-negotiables and values. Perform the Away/Toward Exercise: Write out everything you don't want on one piece of paper ("away") and all that you do want on another ("toward") to bring awareness to your focus. Wear a Rubber Band: For 72 hours, wear a rubber band on your wrist. When you notice negative thoughts, snap them to create an instant pattern interrupt and remind yourself to shift focus. Redirect Your Thinking: When you catch yourself focused on the "away" list, immediately replace the thought with something from your "toward" list or its positive opposite. Cultivate Genuine Gratitude: If struggling to generate positive feelings, ground yourself in something you are authentically grateful for in the present moment. Serve Others: If feeling stuck, perform a small act of kindness to shift your emotional state and break negative patterns. Incrementally Improve Your Emotional State: Don't force a leap from low emotions to joy—focus instead on moving up one or two levels on the emotional scale at a time. Release the Old Story: Set boundaries around retelling painful past stories to others; instead, focus conversations on new goals and dreams to reinforce a forward-looking identity.   Mentioned Extraordinary Love Index™ (Free Diagnostic Quiz) Brilliance Brunch (Events Page) Relationship Map To Happy, Lasting Love  (free guide)   Connect with Riana Malia Website: rianamalia.com Facebook: facebook.com/RianaMalia YouTube: youtube.com/@rianamalia Instagram: instagram.com/rianamalia TikTok: tiktok.com/@rianamalia121 Podcast: podcast.rianamalia.com

Together, we reflect on how the Psalms give us language for the moments when life feels overwhelming ~ when prayers are not polished, but raw, honest, and real.Riana offers a refreshing perspective on prayer as truth-telling, naming what hurts, what feels broken, and what we long for while still holding on to trust in God. She also shares practical ways to engage lament, both personally and in community, including the powerful practice of writing collective lament prayers. This conversation is an invitation to let go of perfect words and instead bring your whole self before God ~ your questions, your grief, your hope ~ and to do so bravely and courageously. “To me, lament is truth-telling about the very real things that we are negotiating. And it's not separate from praise. It is…I'm struggling, this is hard… And I name it because I trust God. And I can rely on others to remind me of God's faithfulness, even when things are hard.” Rev. Timestamp to skip the intro chat: (13:36)Folie à deux is a French term that means ‘madness of two'. It can also refer to a shared psychosis or a shared delusional disorder. In 2008, identical twins Ursula and Sabina Eriksson were acting erratically.  They had traveled to England from Sabina's home in Ireland.  The sisters were asked to leave a bus that they had been traveling on as they were acting paranoid and would not let the driver search their belongings.  After they got off the bus, the sisters ran into oncoming traffic on a motorway.Ursula would be hospitalized for months, while Sabina was released soon after the event.  Sabina would wander the streets of Stoke on Trent in England, looking for her sister.  A man named Glenn Hollinshead took pity on Sabina and took her in.  Sabina would end up killing Glenn by stabbing him five times with a kitchen knife.  Neither sister has given any reason for their actions. We also discuss the strange case of the Tromp Family.  In 2016, Mark and Jacoba Tromp fled their home in Silvan, Australia, along with their three adult children Ella, Mitchell and Riana.  The family were convinced that people were after them and that they were being tracked by their devices.  One investigating police officer described this case as "the most bizarre case I've seen in 30 years".The family would all eventually be recovered safely, following a large-scale police investigation.  Mitchell Tromp would later say 'I've never seen anything like it. It's really hard to explain or put a word on it but they were just fearing for their lives and then they decided to flee. It was a build-up of different, normal, everyday events - just pressure - and it slowly got worse as the days went by."Read our blog for these cases - https://truecrimesocietyblog.com/2026/02/24/folie-a-deux-crimes-events-of-shared-psychosis/This episode is sponsored by:NOCD - If you're struggling with OCD or unrelenting intrusive thoughts, NOCD can help.  Book a free 15 minute call to get startedJoin us on Patreon for exclusive weekly contentBe sure to follow us on Instagram for the latest crime news

What if the patterns you keep repeating aren't flaws or bad habits, but survival strategies your body learned long ago?In this episode, I sit down with Riana Malia, a certified Neuro-Somatic practitioner whose work focuses on healing generational trauma through the unconscious mind, nervous system regulation, and trauma-informed care.Riana shares her powerful personal story of betrayal, loss, and the promise she made to her daughter, that the cycle of trauma would end with her. Together, we explore how the body holds experiences the mind can't always explain, and how unhealed childhood wounds can quietly shape our relationships, choices, and sense of self well into adulthood. We talk about why emotional regulation is the foundation of real change, how trauma responses often disguise themselves as personality traits or self-sabotage, and how Riana used quantum healing to shift lifelong pain, without having to relive every traumatic moment. You'll learn:Why certain relationship patterns keep repeating, even when you “know better”How trauma responses can disguise themselves as personality traits or self-sabotage What somatic tools actually look like in everyday life, especially when things feel overwhelmingThe difference between emotional awareness and true embodied healingWhy forgiveness is about reclaiming yourself, not excusing harm. What a practical, sustainable healing journey can look like after decades of stored trauma. How trauma-informed personal growth gives your nervous system a new story to followHow understanding your body creates emotional safety and resilienceIf you're carrying pain you can't quite name, or if healing has felt confusing or out of reach, this episode offers a gentler, more embodied way forward.Your body already knows the way.

Are you feeling sick, getting migraines, or experiencing chronic fatigue without knowing why? Your body might be telling you that you're trapped in toxic patterns from unhealed childhood trauma - but there's a proven path to break free and create the love and life you deserve. In this powerful episode, Rebecca Greene interviews Riana Milne, a licensed mental health counselor and relationship coach who has identified the 10 most common childhood traumas that create toxic patterns in adult relationships. Riana shares her groundbreaking research on how unhealed childhood trauma leads to love trauma, and explains her holistic mind-body approach to healing that has helped thousands break generational cycles of dysfunction. From recognizing toxic patterns through physical symptoms to learning the mindset tools for success, this episode provides a comprehensive roadmap for transformation. Riana also shares inspiring stories of her own daughters' successes, demonstrating how positive parenting and mindset work can create extraordinary outcomes. 5 Key Takeaways ➤ Your Body Tells the Truth About Toxic Relationships - Physical symptoms like migraines, stomach issues, chronic fatigue, and sleep problems are often your body's way of responding to constant abuse and trauma in relationships. ➤ The Top 10 Childhood Traumas Create Predictable Adult Patterns - From addiction issues in parents to abandonment, verbal abuse, and sibling dynamics, these traumas show up as jealousy, people-pleasing, impulsivity, or inability to apologize in adult relationships. ➤ Healing Must Address Both Childhood and Love Trauma - Research proves that unhealed childhood trauma causes love trauma as you age, requiring a holistic mind-body approach rather than just medication to treat symptoms. ➤ Consistency Over Time Equals Trust - Whether rebuilding relationships with your children or partner, the mathematical equation for healing is showing up consistently with new behaviors over time to rebuild trust.➤ Mindset Work Creates Extraordinary Success - Teaching children early that they can achieve whatever they dream, combined with positive verbal messaging and spiritual grounding, creates confident adults who can manifest their goals. Powerful Quotes from Riana Milne"You can't change what you don't know, acknowledge or understand. If I could understand it for me, I could help teach my clients.""Create the life you desire, and when you do, you then have the love you deserve. Both of my girls married really amazing men because they learned these skills early."
