Sometimes people refer to self-sabotage as things like shooting themselves in the foot, not showing up for themselves, or not following through for themselves. This is incredibly common for those of us in recovery. ACA has taught me that another way to refer to self-sabotage is to call it self-abandonment. And this makes sense because as adult children, we were brought up on abandonment so of course we would only learn to abandon ourselves. This week's episode 245 of the Fragmented to Whole Podcast is about how to stop the self-sabotage and get over your fear of abandonment.Support the show by becoming a Patreon member! Some of the talking points I go over in this episode include:Why it is so common for adult children of alcoholics and dysfunctional families to self-sabotage or self-abandon themselves. Some of the ways we might abandon ourselves. 2 important reasons it is helpful to connect this abandonment behavior to our status as adult children. When you start calling self-sabotage, self-abandonment there is s solution to that. Failure gets this really nasty rap because it just automatically means that you've screwed up, you've lost something, it means that you are a shitbag of a person. One of the greatest barriers to entrepreneurship is a fear of failing. However, Rashidi Thomas of Giftme implores anyone with a business idea to forego this strategy. You can't be worried about failure, he said. “I think the reason why people don't take on the entrepreneurship route is through fear.” He also exhorts business owners to redefine their planned execution notion without fear. It's possible, he argues, that your company won't grow the way you expected. He advises against becoming so fearful of how your idea might evolve because you are too committed to it. On this episode of Impacting Jamaica, hosted by Tameka Gordon, Rashidi urges those in business: "don't be afraid to pivot." Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

They are missing out on a whole segment of their experience with you when you don't recommend any products. When you choose products you believe in and are passionate about, you give yourself the chance to transfer that same education and passion to your clients. Give them the space and opportunity to feel confident and love their results long after they've left your chair. Give your hard work greater longevity on your client. Hang out with me in this episode and we'll get you there
