Then, conversations about television including the Stugotzian Manningcast and sports debate TV evolving into a mechanism for viral clips. Plus, Mike Gundy and Gio Bernard dealings with media and nudity in the locker room. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
The holiday season is upon us and Santa has brought you a brand new edition of Downey and Martez. This week the guys look back at the loss to the Cincinnati Bengals and ahead to a Christmas night showdown with the Arizona Cardinals. Trey starts things off by asking Len if he took more from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers great first half against Cincinnati or the absolutely atrocious second half. In regards to that first half, the guys discuss what went right for Tampa Bay. After getting the positives out of the way, the guys move on to the final 30 minutes of the game. The guys explain what the turning point in the game was and agreed it was the botched fake punt. Trey and Len debate what went wrong on that play and if it was actually a fake. The guys also discuss the post game interaction between running back Gio Bernard and various members of the media. Before moving onto discussing this week's Sunday Night Football game, the guys dig a little deeper on the Bengals and how much of a threat they are to win their conference. In regards to the Christmas night game, Len seems very confident in the Bucs chances so Trey presses him on why. Chris and LG talk about the finish to Sunday's Patriots-Raiders game. -Have either one of the guys ever seen an ending quite like that one? -Are there plays in the playbook for a situation like that? Where did the breakdown in situational football take place? -How Jakobi Meyers handled himself in the locker room after the game. Do guys get some support from the media relations staff in moments like that? And how did Meyers' situation contrast with the way things were handled when Tampa Bay's Gio Bernard got testy with the media after a Bucs' loss? -Will this loss galvanize this team, or shatter them? -How important are captains and leaders during weeks like this? ...and LG answers Adam "Pac Man" Jones when it comes to the Brady-Burrow argument.

1. Panthers -Why do you think the Panthers went with Ikem Ekwonu over Evan Neal and Charles Cross? -Barring the Panthers acquiring Jimmy Garoppolo or Baker Mayfield before the season, how many games do you see Matt Corral starting in 2022? 2. Falcons -For the second consecutive year, the Falcons selected a passing game weapon with a top-10 pick in USC WR Drake London. While I personally like London a lot, an NFL decision-maker, who obviously knows football better than I ever will, anonymously told Mike Sando of The Athletic that London gave him vibes of Mike Williams, another USC WR who was a top-10 pick in 2005, yet did not live up to expectations. Do you have similar feelings and if not, why will Drake London have a far more successful NFL career? -What do Arnold Ebiketie and DeAngelo Malone give the Falcons anemic pass rush THIS YEAR? -Is Troy Andersen a long-term replacement for Foye Oloukun or Deion Jones? -How many games do you see Desmond Ridder starting this season? 3. Saints -With Chris Olave and Jarvis Landry now joining forces with Michael Thomas, do you think Jameis Winston could be in for the best season of his career? -If you could pick one part of Trevor Penning's game that he needs to fix in order to become a franchise cornerstone, what would it be and why? -Do you see Alontae Taylor becoming a premiere slot corner in the NFL? 4. Bucs -While many (if not most) project Logan Hall as an interior rusher, some others, most notably Dane Brugler, believe that Hall can be a force off the edge as well. What do you believe the best possible sub-package role for Hall is? -In the long-term, can you see Luke Goedeke being a candidate to potentially replace Donovan Smith at left tackle for the Bucs? -Can you see Rachaad White eventually supplanting Gio Bernard as the Bucs third-down back at some point this season? 5. Name a player (either drafted or UDFA) from each team we have not yet discussed that you think will have a successful NFL career -Panthers: Amare Barno -Falcons: Tyler Allgeier -Saints: Jordan Jackson -Bucs: Zyon McCollum

Free agency continues and the Buccaneers have locked up two key free agents: Leonard Fournette and William Gholston. They've also signed OL Fred Johnson, a former Bengal, and T Josh Wells. The Bucs have not yet reached agreements with Ndamukong Suh and Rob Gronkowski, although they are reportedly in talks with both. JPP still remains a free agent, as is Gio Bernard, Pat O'Connor, Steve McClendon. The defensive line is currently a little thin, and it remains to be seen whether the Bucs will fill the gaps through free agency or the draft. The Buccaneers lost Ronald Jones II to the Kansas City Chiefs. While Rojo showed promise at times, he failed to make himself non-expendable at the Bucs. Antonio Brown continues to act a fool, this time with an Instagram model who he claims owes him $5,000. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/buccaneers-observer/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/buccaneers-observer/support

Locked On Bucs – Daily Podcast On The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Fans
Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians made some pretty vague and non-committal comments on Monday regarding the status of Antonio Brown and Mike Edwards as they are serving the final game of their suspensions for violating the NFL's covid protocol. Arians said the team has not made a decision regarding whether or not the players will return and once they decide then the media will be informed. How does the Locked On Bucs podcast see this all shaking out? Are AB and Edwards destined for the waiver wire or will Arians eat his words about any distractions and AB is gone? It's Takeaway Tuesday so David and James give their biggest takeways from the weekend and explain why people need to stop worrying about what other fans are doing. Finally, there is some information on the status of Gio Bernard as he suffered a sprained MCL. Will Leonard Fournette get even more snaps or is this the opening Ronald Jones needs to get a bigger role in the offense? Head coach Bruce Arians is joined by team reporter Casey Phillips on the weekly radio show.
Locked On Bucs – Daily Podcast On The Tampa Bay Buccaneers Fans
Putting a nice, tidy bow on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers win over the Philadelphia Eagles, we are joined by 10 Tampa Bay's Evan Closky to get his thoughts on the Thursday Night game in week six. The defense stepped up as much as they could and Defensive Coordinator Todd Bowles deserves a lot of credit for the way this defense has been playing given all the injury issues that side of the ball has been dealing with. Leonard Fournette - and whichever iteration of "Lenny" you want to give him - has been playing on another level over the past few weeks. In the most recent three game stretch, Fournette is third in the NFL in all-purpose yards, making him an indispensable part of the offensive game plan. Not only did he take full control of the starting - or lead - running back job, but he's playing himself right into a big contract in the off-season. Does that mean this year is the last we will see of Leonard Fournette in a Buccaneers uniform or will Jason Licht and Mike Greenberg be able to work some more magic and keep "Regular Season Lenny" in Tampa for 2022 and beyond? Also, where does this leave Ronald Jones? RoJo was the lead dog in 2020 and it was Fournette that had a sit down moment with Bruce Arians telling him to get on board or get out. Have the roles fully reversed in 2021? Jones is currently getting between four and six carries a game and Fournette's play has also rendered Gio Bernard somewhat irrelevant for the offense. Is RoJo giving up on his role on this team? Or is he still playing with the team first mentality, knowing his number could be called to carry the load at any given moment? As the Bucs prepare to take on the Chicago Bears, all eyes are going to be on rookie quarterback Justin Fields. Fields has not been overly impressive, but at this stage it's hard to tell if that's because of Fields or if head coach Matt Nagy is hurting the offensive growth. Star receiver Allen Robinson has been a ghost all season as Fields tends to look towards Darnell Mooney more often than not. Is a matchup against the battered Bucs secondary a chance for Robinson to get back on track? Or will the Buccaneers defense step up again? As Evan gives his bold predictions for the game, last week seems to have sparked the thought that "Sack Barrett" is on the cusp of coming back. The Buccaneers haven't had more than four sacks in a game this season, but Barrett was giving Jalen Hurts fits last week in Philadelphia. Now, he has the opportunity to do the same to a rookie quarterback inside Raymond James Stadium - which could signal the return of the Bucs' sack master. o Pre-Order or Get Your Copy of "A Season In The Sun" Starting October 19th: https://bit.ly/2Z679aG o Follow & Subscribe to the Locked On Bucs Podcast on these platforms… Apple: https://apple.co/3iOePFk Spotify: https://spoti.fi/3BwlScY Audacy: https://bit.ly/3FAcIhV Google: https://bit.ly/2X0IEdS Megaphone: https://bit.ly/3uZOcSo o Follow Locked On Podcast Network on Twitter: https://twitter.com/LockedOnNetwork Check out all of our NFL Coverage: linktr.ee/lockedonnfl Follow James on Twitter: https://twitter.com/JYarcho_BUCS Follow David on Twitter: https://twitter.com/DHarrison82 o Support Us By Supporting Our Sponsors! Scott, Jon and Matt break down the Bucs' first preseason game of the season at home against the Bengals for episode 388. But first, they discuss the touching tribute that the Bucs' organization did for Mark Cook, which included saving a press box seat for him and decorating it with flowers, pictures, a Florida State mug and his infamous chef's hat from "What's Cooking?." They also held a moment of silence for Mark before the game and a video message on the board in the second quarter to honor him. Please help Mark's family with bills and expenses by going to his GoFundMe page and contributing if you can. There is a link in the description in the Youtube video that will send you to the site to donate there. For the game itself, there was a lot to take away on both positive and negative notes. The backups in the secondary were impressive, as was newcomer Gio Bernard and rookies Joe Tryon and Kyle Trask. There was a lot of sloppy tackling, some poor special teams play and a running game that stalled for most of the night. Along with analysis, they also highlight what they want to see next week in practice before their second preseason game. Hear it all on the Pewter Report Podcast, energized by CELSIUS.

Host Ian Hartitz welcomes on PFF analyst Andrew Erickson to break down what player from every NFC team they believe could have an underrated influence on their offense's pecking order. The guys start off with some talk surrounding Cowboys TE Blake Jarwin's post-hype chances before noting just how crowded the Giants offense is at the moment. Converation continues with a look at just how much of an issue Tarik Cohen could be for the rest of the Bears' fantasy assets before Ian and Andrew taking a look at the Lions' messy receiver room. Unforunately it probably won't be Irv Smith TE1 szn thanks to Tyler Conklin; the good news is you can just draft Adam Trautman or Gerald Everett instead. Additional topics include: Olamide Zaccheaus' 2021 role, who will be the No. 4 pass-game option in Carolina, Latavius Murray potential, Gio Bernard pass-down back, if James Conner will be a thing again, why you should take Wayne Gallman at the end of drafts and much more.
Pat Kerrane (@PatKerrane), Denny Carter (@CDCarter13), and Kyle Dvorchak (@kyletweetshere) highlight six players they are targeting right now in every fantasy draft. The Trio look at how the plentiful options in the Buccaneers offense - including Chris Godwin and Gio Bernard. Other discussions involve Antonio Gibson breaking into the top running backs tier, and when the 49ers will turn to Trey Lance. Privacy Policy and California Privacy Notice.
This week the boys discuss the impact of the Sam Darnold Trade and the possible trade of Teddy Bridgewater, and the Cincinnati Bengals are on the clock with potential draft needs and the fantasy impact of the Gio Bernard release on Joe Mixon's draft stock for 2021. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/tffpod/support
