The Patrick Coffin Show | Interviews with influencers | Commentary about culture | Tools for transformation

In this commentary episode of the Patrick coffin show, Patrick does a review of the players and principles surrounding the bull's eye of the target known as Sean “Diddy” Combs, arrested last month by Damian Williams, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, and William S. Walker, the Acting Special Agent in Charge of the New York Field Office of Homeland Security Investigations.   Diddy was charged with a three-count indictment for racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution.     But this case is not about celebrity gossip or the downfall of one or two bad apples.    It is a revelation of the depth of depravity and denial that has always characterized the entertainment industry. The Diddy indictment alleges that between 2008 and 2024, he abused, threatened, and coerced women and others, and led a racketeering conspiracy that engaged in sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice, among other crimes.   In the Hollyweird orbit of Epsteins and Weinsteins, why would a Combs indictment for similar behavior shock us? There are more questions to be asked.   Topics covered in this episode:   Why is no one talking about the “family tree” of mentorship and manipulation by the man who discovered Diddy, R&B producer Andre Harrell, and the man who discover Harrell—the creepy self-described bisexual Clive Davis, founder of Arista Records. How did Diddy's career really start? The litany of people connected to Diddy who showed up dead or seriously ill, like ex-girlfriend Kim Porter, JayZ's pregnant mistress Cathy White, singer Aaliyah, and radio host Wendy Williams. Former insiders to follow: R&B singer Jaguar Wright, comedian Katt Williams, and former Diddy bodyguard Gene Deal. Troubled rappers connected to Diddy: JayZ, Drake, Usher, 50 cent, Tupac Shakur, Biggie Smalls (aka the Notorious BIG), R. Kelly   Rappers are black proxies for largely non-black owners, who seem always to escape justice   Puff Combs' Bay Boy Records (owned by BMG, sold to Sony in 2008, CEO Rob Stringer; Travis Scott's Cactus Jack Records, distributed by Epic Records, owned by Sony Music Entertainment, CEO Rob Stringer; Drake's OVO Sound, an imprint of Warner Records from its formation until 2022, CEO Aaron Bay-Schuck; Tyler, The Creator, Odd Future Records, parent company, Sony Music Entertainmen, CEO Rob Stringer; Legendary DEF JAM records, parent company Universal Music Group, CEO Sir Lucian Grainge; Jay Z's Rock a Fella Records, owned by Universal Music Group, CEO is Sir Lucian Grainge; 50 Cent's G-Unit Records, owned by Universal Music Group, CEO Sir Lucian Grainge; Usher and Justin Bieber's RBMG Island Def Jam Music Group, run by Tunji Balogun, but the parent company is Universal Music Group, CEO Sir Lucian Grainge; Yo Gotti's Collective Music Group CMG, owned by parent company, Universal Music Group, CEO Lucian Grainge; Dr. Dre's Aftermath Records, a subsidiary of Universal Music Group, and distributed through Interscope Records, CEO Sir Sir Lucian Grainge (Dickon Stainer in the UK)   The grandaddy of all the non black music executives is Clive Davis, the main puppet master of Diddy, and the man who launched careers dating back to the 60s, from Tony Orlando, the Bay City Rollers, Aretyha Franklin, Whitney Houston and many others up to: Justin Bieber, perhaps the highest profile troubled artist in this toxic space.

In a shocking turn of events, Sean "Diddy" Combs has been indicted on multiple serious charges, including sex trafficking by force, transportation to engage in prostitution, and racketeering conspiracy. The unsealed indictment accuses the music mogul of running an "enterprise that he engaged in sex trafficking, forced labor or kidnapping, arson, and other crimes." The allegations have been under investigation for nearly a year and mirror at least eleven civil complaints filed against Combs since 2023. According to federal prosecutors, Combs "abused, threatened, and coerced women and others around him to fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct" from 2008 to the present. The indictment details how he allegedly manipulated women into participating in orchestrated sexual activities with male commercial sex workers, using a variety of coercive tactics. "Sometimes unbeknownst to the victims, Combs kept videos he filmed of victims engaging in sex acts with commercial sex workers," federal prosecutors revealed. The indictment further outlines a disturbing web of control, citing "physical violence" and the promise of career advancement as means Combs used to exert power over his victims. He allegedly controlled their careers, dictated their appearances, monitored their medical records, and supplied them with controlled substances. Damian Williams, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, emphasized the violent nature of Combs' alleged actions, stating, "When Combs didn't get his way, he was violent." Notably, the indictment references a 2016 hotel surveillance video showing Combs allegedly physically assaulting his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. Following this incident, Combs reportedly attempted to bribe a hotel security worker with a "stack of cash" to keep it quiet. In a search of Combs' Miami home, federal agents uncovered three AR-15 rifles and a drum magazine, raising further concerns about his conduct. Williams stated that Combs had carried firearms to intimidate or threaten witnesses. Combs was arrested at the Park Hyatt hotel in Midtown Manhattan and spent the night in federal custody. His attorney, Marc Agnifilo, confirmed that they were prepared for the charges, stating, "We brought him to New York two weeks ago because we knew this day would come." Agnifilo maintained that Combs is dealing with the situation head-on and expressed confidence in his client's innocence. "We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney's Office," Agnifilo asserted. He portrayed Combs as a "music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist," urging the public to reserve judgment until all facts are known. "To his credit, Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation." Federal prosecutors are seeking to detain Combs while he awaits trial, arguing that he poses a "dangerous" threat to the community and risks obstructing justice. They allege he has attempted to bribe security staff and has interfered with witnesses, claiming, "There are simply no conditions that would ensure that the defendant's efforts to obstruct and tamper with witnesses will stop." Williams underscored that no one is above the law, stating, "A year ago, Sean Combs stood in Times Square and was handed a key to New York City. Today, he's been indicted and will face justice in the Southern District of New York." The investigation remains ongoing, and Williams has encouraged anyone with information to come forward. Combs has denied all allegations against him, including those raised in the civil lawsuits. His legal challenges began in March, when federal agents executed raids on his homes in Los Angeles and Miami, seizing electronic devices as part of the ongoing investigation into his alleged criminal conduct. Federal authorities have formally charged Sean "Diddy" Combs with racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution, according to an unsealed indictment released by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York on Tuesday. The arrest of the renowned music mogul unfolded in Manhattan on Monday, following a comprehensive sex trafficking investigation and a series of federal raids. The Southern District of New York (SDNY) announced Combs' detention on social media, stating that he was taken into custody "based on a sealed indictment" and would provide "more to say" once the indictment was made public on Tuesday morning. Damian Williams, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, detailed the findings of the raids during a press conference on Tuesday. Authorities discovered multiple AR-15 guns, large-capacity magazines, and substantial evidence related to the alleged crimes outlined in the indictment. Additionally, over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant were seized, which prosecutors claim were used to facilitate the trafficking operations. The 14-page indictment paints a troubling picture of Combs' operations. It alleges that he converted his "multi-faceted business empire" into a "criminal enterprise" where he and his associates engaged in sex trafficking, forced labor, and other illicit activities. The document accuses Combs of threatening and coercing women to "fulfill his sexual desires," highlighting a pattern of abuse and exploitation. In response to the charges, Combs' attorney, Marc Agnifilo, released a statement to USA TODAY on Monday expressing disappointment with the prosecution's actions. Agnifilo stated, "We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney's Office. Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community. He is an imperfect person but he is not a criminal." The indictment and subsequent arrest mark a significant development in the ongoing investigation into Combs' activities. The discovery of firearms and substantial quantities of baby oil and lubricant suggests a well-organized effort to sustain the alleged criminal operations. The use of such items is consistent with the methods often employed in sex trafficking to facilitate the movement and exploitation of victims. Combs, known for his influential presence in the music industry and his entrepreneurial ventures, now faces serious allegations that starkly contrast his public persona. The charges, if proven, indicate a complex and deeply entrenched network of illegal activities intertwined with his business endeavors. The case against Combs is likely to attract considerable media attention, given his high-profile status and the severity of the charges. Legal experts suggest that the outcome of this case could have far-reaching implications, both for Combs' career and for the broader fight against sex trafficking and organized crime. As the legal proceedings unfold, the Southern District of New York has indicated that further details will emerge. The indictment's unsealing allows the public and media to scrutinize the charges, while Combs prepares to mount his defense against the allegations. This development underscores the ongoing efforts by federal authorities to combat sex trafficking and related crimes. The involvement of a prominent figure like Sean "Diddy" Combs highlights the challenges and complexities in addressing such pervasive and covert criminal activities. For now, Combs remains a central figure in a case that exemplifies the intersection of celebrity influence and criminal justice. The coming weeks will be critical in determining the trajectory of this high-stakes legal battle. Want to listen to ALL of our podcasts AD-FREE? That package is then added as a House amendment to the Senate foreign aid bill (the two are effectively the same); in parliamentary speak, the House concurs in the Senate amendment with a House amendment. the concurrence is set up in order to send the House package over to the Senate as a "message," which allows the Dem majority in the Senate to expedite its passage (the first motion to proceed is privileged and approved at simple majority instead of requiring cloture to be invoked at 60 votes). The downfall of former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried from king of the crypto world to crypto scammer is complete. A Manhattan jury of nine women and three men took less than five hours Thursday afternoon, day 18 of the high-profile trial, to convict Bankman-Fried on seven counts of fraud and conspiracy for stealing billions of dollars of his customers' assets.  “Sam Bankman-Fried perpetrated one of the biggest financial frauds in American history, a multi-million scheme designed to make him the king of crypto,” said Damian Williams, U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York in remarks following the verdict. The guilty verdict came a year to the day after crypto publication CoinDesk published a story showing balance sheet irregularities at Bankman-Fried's investment company, Alameda Research, that suggested the ties between Alameda and FTX were unusually close. Bankman-Fried now faces potentially decades in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for March 28. After listening to Judge Lewis Kaplan read through 60 pages of instructions, jurors quickly concluded that Bankman-Fried was responsible for decisions that led to an $8 billion hole in its balance sheet, including the use of customer assets for political donations, investments and his own personal use. Prosecutors had reiterated this theme in a stinging, Thursday morning rebuttal.  And jurors rejected whole-hog Bankman-Fried's defense team's narrative that Bankman-Fried was being villainized for being a poor manager who didn't create sufficient risk management systems. They also did not buy into Bankman-Fried's claim that he was unaware of the severity of his company's financial problems and that his inner circle, three of whom testified earlier in the trial as part of plea agreements, were to blame.  “We respect the jury's decision,” said Bankman-Fried's lead attorney, Mark Cohen. But we are very disappointed with the result. Mr. Bankman-Fried maintains his innocence and will continue to fight the charges against him.” U.S. attorney Wiliams called Bankman-Fried's crimes “ fraud” as “old as time,” and said his office had “no patience for it.”  He added: “This case moved at lightning speed, that was a choice, not a coincidence.” Catch up on Unchained's previous coverage:  SBF Trial, Day 1: Possible Witnesses Include FTX Insiders, Big Names in Crypto, and SBF's Family SBF Trial, Day 2: DOJ Says Sam Bankman-Fried ‘Lied' While Defense Claims His Actions Were ‘Reasonable' SBF Trial, Day 3: Why a True Believer in FTX Flipped Once He Learned One Fact SBF Trial, Day 4: SBF's Lawyers Annoy Judge Kaplan, While Wang Reveals Alameda's Special Privileges SBF Trial, Day 5: SBF's Defense Finally Found Its Legs, But Can It Counter Caroline Ellison? Con artist pleads guilty in phishing plot that duped authors

A yearslong saga that ensnared the publishing world culminated in a New York courtroom when a con artist pleaded guilty to a plot that defrauded scores of authors by duping them into handing over hundreds of unpublished manuscripts. Filippo Bernardini, an Italian citizen who had been working in publishing in London, pleaded guilty to a single count of wire fraud in connection with a phishing scheme that baffled the book world for years. The announcement was made by the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, Damian Williams, who said Bernardini is set to be sentenced April 5 before U.S. District Judge Colleen McMahon. “Filippo Bernardini used his insider knowledge of the publishing industry to create a scheme that stole precious works from authors and menaced the publishing industry,” Williams said in a statement. Authorities say Bernardini, 30, used email accounts to impersonate literary agents and editors to con authors out of their manuscripts. “Through impersonation and phishing schemes, Bernardini was able to obtain more than a thousand manuscripts fraudulently,” Williams said. Bernardini, who hasn't publicly explained his motives, faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. As part of his guilty plea, he agreed to pay restitution of $88,000. Authorities say the scheme began sometime around August of 2016 and continued until January 2022, when he was arrested. Bernardini created fake email accounts by registering more than 160 internet domains that, prosecutors said, “were confusingly similar to the real entities that they were impersonating, including only minor typographical errors that would be difficult for the average recipient to identify during a cursory review.” He impersonated hundreds of people over the course of the scheme, obtaining more than a thousand manuscripts through his deceit. Works by Margaret Atwood and Ethan Hawke were among those targeted. What made the plot more mystifying was that no attempts were apparently made to sell the stolen manuscripts. Ties of this story to Real estate have peaked my interest.  #1 was the notice of bond being tied to his parents home on the Stanford campus#2 was the use of the word commingling of funds, which is also a big no-no word in Real Estate#3 was alleged use of those funds to by real estate in other countries such as the Bahamas. Bankman-Fried [SBF] will be back at the home he grew up in, a house in the middle of Stanford's campus, according to federal political filings that disclose the address. He will remain under house arrest, but can leave for substance use treatment, exercise and mental health purposes. US District Judge Gabriel Gorenstein signed off on the deal Thursday, allowing the disgraced FTX founder and ex-CEO — who is staring down a slew of charges which carry a sentence of up to 115 years — to leave New York for his home state. In granting him pretrial release, Gorenstein said Bankman-Fried had "achieved sufficient notoriety that it would be impossible" for him to engage in further financial schemes or to hide without being recognized.Nicolas Roos, a prosecutor, told Gorenstein that the bail package would require Bankman-Fried to surrender his passport and remain in home confinement at his parents' home in Palo Alto, California. He would also be required to undergo regular mental health treatment and evaluation.Cohen [SBF Atty] said he agreed with prosecutors' proposed bail conditions. He noted that Bankman-Fried's parents - both Stanford Law School professors - would co-sign the bond and post the equity in their home as assurance for his return to court. Both appeared at the hearing. The record-breaking bond would be partially secured by Bankman-Fried's parents' interest in their five-bedroom, three-bathroom home — which Zillow estimates to be worth north of $4 million — and that equity would have to be paid within three weeks, Gorenstein said."My client remained where he was, he made no effort to flee," Cohen [SBF Atty]  said. The bond is meant to ensure that if Bankman-Fried flees, the government could confiscate the family's assets - including their Palo Alto home - up to $250 million. Reuters could not determine the family's total net worth.Bankman-Fried said at a New York Times conference on Nov. 30, following the exchange's collapse, that he had $100,000 in his bank account.Roos [prosecutor] said that evidence at trial would consist of testimony from "multiple cooperating witnesses," [Ellison and Wang] as well as thousands of pages of written communications.Just hours after Bankman-Fried's plane from the Bahamas took off, Damian Williams, the top federal prosecutor in Manhattan, announced that two of Bankman-Fried's closest associates - former Alameda CEO Caroline Ellison and FTX co-founder Gary Wang - had pleaded guilty and were cooperating with prosecutors. The alleged crypto grifter will be able to leave his parents' house for exercise, mental health and substance abuse treatment. He will also be allowed to shop online, but is banned from making any non-sanctioned payments above $1,000 that aren't legal fees, prosecutors said.  Assistant US Attorney [the PROSECUTOR!!!] Nick Roos argued in favor of the house arrest, saying the fact that Bankman-Fried “voluntarily consented to extradition” from the Bahamas “should be given weight.”His $250 million bond is 25 times larger than the collateral that officials demanded from disgraced Ponzi scheme financier Bernie Madoff in 2009 [Judge Gabriel Gorenstein same judge giving bail to SBF].Damian Williams [lead prosecutor with Roos], the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, and Michael J. Driscoll, the Assistant Director in Charge of the New York Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (“FBI”), announced the extradition of SAMUEL BANKMAN-FRIED, a/k/a “SBF,” yesterday from the Bahamas.[1] Also unsealed are the guilty pleas of CAROLINE ELLISON, former CEO of Alameda Research, and GARY WANG, co-founder and former Chief Technology Officer of FTX.  ELLISON and WANG pled guilty before U.S. District Judge Ronnie Abrams on December 19, 2022, to charges arising from their participation in schemes to defraud FTX's customers and investors, and related crimes, and are cooperating with the Government.Mr. Williams praised the investigative work of the FBI and thanked the FBI for its partnership in the extradition of Mr. Bankman-Fried and its investigation of wrongdoing associated with Alameda Research and FTX.  Mr. Williams also thanked the Bahamas' government as well as the United States Embassy in the Bahamas for their extraordinary efforts in the arrest and return of the defendant to the United States to face these charges.  He also expressed appreciation for the assistance of the Justice Department's Office of International Affairs. This case is being handled by the Office's Securities and Commodities Fraud Task Force. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Nicolas Roos and Danielle Sassoon are in charge of the prosecution.  The Money Laundering and Transnational Criminal Enterprises Unit and Assistant U.S. Attorneys Samuel Raymond and Thane Rehn also contributed to the investigation. The allegations in the Indictment against BANKMAN-FRIED are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. The [OLD CASE] prosecutor [Marc Litt] who put Bernie Madoff in federal prison for running a Ponzi scheme that defrauded investors of billions of dollars said Friday it's “highly unusual” for Sam Bankman-Fried to be speaking publicly about the November collapse of his crypto platform FTX amid widespread allegations of fraud.“It's highly unusual for a subject of a high-profile criminal investigation to be conducting media interviews and public appearances during which he discusses the conduct being investigated,” Marc Litt, who prosecuted Madoff for the Southern District of New York in 2009, told The Hill. “No criminal defense attorney [Cohen in this case] I know would recommend doing that, and no matter how careful Mr. Bankman-Fried thinks he can be, it's almost inevitable that something he says will come back to haunt him if charges are ever brought,” he said.[from 2008] NEW YORK, Dec 17 (Reuters) - Bail conditions for Bernard Madoff, the financier accused of one of the biggest frauds in Wall Street history, have been modified to include electronic monitoring, according to court documents released on Wednesday.U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge Gabriel Gorenstein [same judge giving bail to SBF] said Madoff's wife Ruth was required to surrender her passport by noon on Thursday and said a hearing scheduled for Wednesday was canceled.“In light of this order and the agreement of both the defendant and the government to the changes in the bail conditions, there is no need for a further hearing on bail today,” the judge's written order said. “Accordingly, the hearing is canceled.”  [old from 2008][Parents other home] Bankman-Fried's parents, Stanford University law professors Joseph Bankman and Barbara Fried, are reportedly listed as signatories on a beach house within the Old Fort Bay gated community.  Sam Bankman-Fried claimed he didn't know how a $16.4 million Bahamas mansion got listed under his parents' names, insisting that it was meant to house staffers at his now-defunct FTX cryptocurrency exchange.“I don't know the details of the house for my parents,” Bankman-Fried told the New York Times' Andrew Ross Sorkin via Zoom at the newspaper's DealBook summit event in New York City on Wednesday. “I know it was not intended to be their long-term property. It was intended to be the company's property. I don't know how that was papered in.”Bankman-Fried's parents, Stanford University law professors Joseph Bankman and Barbara Fried, were listed as the owners of a home in a gated community on the Bahamas.Property records described the house as a “vacation home,” according to Reuters, which was the first to report the news.  #1 the home is estimated to be worth about $4 mill according to Zillow.  Realtor.com says about 3.2 mill  Bankman-Fried's parents bought their cozy four-bedroom, three-bath home in 1992 for about $700,000 — close to $1.5 million in today's money — records show.  What we know about the house.  ~1 acre.  On or adjacent to Stanford Campus.  In ground pool. Welcome to The Nonlinear Library, where we use Text-to-Speech software to convert the best writing from the Rationalist and EA communities into audio. This is: The US Attorney for the SDNY asked that FTX money be returned to victims. What are the moral and legal consequences to EA?, published by Fermi–Dirac Distribution on December 14, 2022 on The Effective Altruism Forum. In a December 13, 2022 press conference announcing the indictment of Sam Bankman-Fried, Damian Williams, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, said the following: To any person, entity or political campaign that has received stolen customer money, we ask that you work with us to return that money to the innocent victims. In the same press conference, he alleges that FTX has been stealing customer money since 2019: First, we charge that from 2019 until earlier this year, Bankman-Fried and his co-conspirators stole billions of dollars from FTX customers. He also alleged the following about SBF's political contributions: Those contributions were disguised to look like they were coming from wealthy co-conspirators, when in fact, the contributions were funded by Alameda Research with stolen customer money. This might be relevant to EA orgs, since a lot of SBF's political contributions seem to have been made around the same time as his EA donations (i.e. this year), and so likely came from the same source. I made a comment pointing out some of this information yesterday, but so far that this is getting less attention than I expected given the seriousness of the matter, hence this top-level post. What are the moral and legal consequences of the information in the indictment, and of Williams's request, to EA orgs and individuals that have received money from FTX? Thanks for listening. In an effort to sexually exploit and abuse multiple minor girls, Ghislaine Maxwell conspired with Jeffrey Epstein and was sentenced to prison. In a news release issued by the U.S. Department of Justice's Southern District of New York, Maxwell was sentenced to 240 months in prison by United States Circuit Judge Alison J. Nathan on June 28. Maxwell was found guilty of conspiracy to entice minors to travel to engage in illegal sex acts, conspiracy to transport minors to participate in illegal sex acts, transporting a minor to participate in illegal sex acts, sex trafficking conspiracy, and sex trafficking of a minor late last year. Specifically, according to the U.S. Prosecutor's Office, Maxwell "aided, facilitated, and participated in Jeffrey Epstein's abuse of minor girls by, among other things, recruiting, grooming, and eventually abusing victims known to Maxwell and Epstein to be under 18 years old." When the victims were abused and groomed, they were as young as 14 years old. In addition to Maxwell's residence in London, England, Epstein's homes in New York, Florida, and New Mexico were also visited by minors, the U.S. Department of Justice reported. Those minors were groomed and sexually abused by Maxwell and Epstein. In accordance with the U.S. Attorney's Office, Maxwell would become friends with victims, ask about their lives, and accompany them to the movies. Frequently, she would be present when victims interacted with Epstein to put them at ease by "providing the assurance and comfort of a mature woman who seemed to approve of Epstein's behavior," the U.S. prosecutors said. As a result of Maxwell's encouragement, Epstein often paid for victims to travel and provided them with educational opportunities. In accordance with the U.S. Attorney's Office, Maxwell also made the victims feel like the abuse was normal, and would undress them in front of them. Also, she encouraged the victims to massage Epstein when they were undressed. "Ultimately, minor victims were subjected to sexual abuse, including touching a victim's breasts or genitals, placing a sex toy on a victim's genitals, and directing a victim to touch Epstein's genitals while he masturbated." said the U.S. Attorney's Office. Girls from impoverished single-mother households were usually the victims. Additionally, Maxwell and Epstein paid some of their victims to recruit other girls to be abused by Epstein. Besides Maxwell's prison sentence, she was sentenced to five years of supervised release and a fine of $750,000. According to Damian Williams, "Today's sentence holds Ghislaine Maxwell accountable for her heinous crimes against children. The sentence sends a powerful message that no one is above the law. Williams added, "We again express our gratitude to Epstein and Maxwell's victims for their courage in coming forward, in testifying at trial, and in sharing their stories as part of today's sentencing." The Washington Post reported that the Manhattan District Attorney's Office is now investigating Donald Trump's manipulation of property values, presumably to dodge tax liability. Recently released city property and tax records reveal that Trump claimed for one purpose that his building at 40 Wall Street was worth $527 million and then turned around and, for tax purposes, reported that the same building was worth only $16.7 million. This is Trump taking a page out of the book Tax Fraud for Dummies. This video also discusses Attorney General Merrick Garland's comments at Monday's ceremony for the new United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Damian Williams.
