Grace P. Cho is a Korean-American writer and Senior Acquisitions Editor at Revell, which is an imprint of Baker Publishing Group. Grace has authored and edited several inCourage bible studies and devotionals. And she's most recently contributed to the book Voices of Lament: Reflections on Brokenness and Hope in a World Longing for Justice. I've known Grace for many years and she is a kind and gracious presence for me personally, but she extends this beyond just her personal friends. She creates space for people to be known, nurtured, and challenged through her work and she desires to elevate women of color's voices in the publishing industry. Grace has said several goodbyes in the last year, but her experience is is a beautiful illustration of how not all goodbyes are sad. In this special episode Michelle Reyes, PhD, Grace P. Cho, Tasha Jun, and Dorina Lazo Gilmore-Young all join me for a vulnerable conversation about the Atlanta Massacre and the Anti-Asian hate/violence in this country. As Asian American Christian women, they share  what that means especially in this time of increased hate and violence aimed at Asian-American bodies.  In this conversation we talk about the impact of being erased and silenced as an Asian American woman and how that has affected their lives as mothers, leaders, and creatives. We also take an honest look at what justice means to them for their community and what they need from the faith communities right now. Finally, we talk about the role of Christian Nationalism, purity culture and the stereotypes of Asian American women in this timely and necessary conversation. 

The AAPI community is near and dear to our hearts in this time of collective grief and as a podcast with an advisory board that's 50% Asian-American, we felt it was necessary to have a conversation about the violent attacks against our AAPI brothers and sisters. Grace Cho is one of the finest writers, editors, and poets that I know. She's always looking for a bit of hope and beauty in the world and is so dang honest. This week, we're talking about what it means to not be cheered on, how that shapes us, and what endurance means. 

Even while we’re not through all of the challenges that 2020 brought to us, it still felt right to look back on the year that we had together with the All Shall Be Well podcast. As I listened to some of the conversations with our fantastic guests this year, I was struck by the way many of our guests invited us to remember the goodness of God, especially as we endure difficulty or heal from past experiences. Then, schedule posts and save hashtags in the notes section using categories so all you have to do is search the category, find those hashtags, and select and BAM!  They’re added to your caption! Download the app to your phone - this way you can upload pics from your camera to Later.com so that when you’re ready to craft those captions at your desktop, your photos will be right there!
