This Special live session of PRCA Fuse takes place at our PRCA UK + PA Conference. Our discussion, hosted by Adrian Ma and featuring Anjuli Bedi, Founder of Boon, focused on the psychology of influence and navigating disinformation in the AI age. Anjuli highlighted the rise of disinformation, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, and its impact on brands and society. She differentiated between misinformation and disinformation, emphasising the latter's intent to harm. Examples included deepfake videos and social media manipulation. The conversation also covered the role of social media platforms in spreading disinformation and the need for a human-centric approach in PR to combat it. The session concluded with a call for innovative solutions and the importance of understanding and addressing the root causes of disinformation.Subscribe for more conversations at the intersection of technology, media, and strategy.___________________________________________________________Connect:LinkedIn: Anjuli Bedi, Founder of BoonWebsite: https://www.boonglobal.io/______________________________________________________Follow Adrian Ma on Social Media:LinkedIn: Adrian Ma - Fanclub PR | Fanclub PRWebsite: Fanclub PR_______________________________________________________Like and subscribe if you enjoyed this episode!Podcast Manager and Producer: Ikechukwu Mgbenwelu ike.mgbenwelu@prca.globalLinkedIn: Ikechukwu MgbenweluA big thank you to our great broadcast PR agency partner, Markettiers, for supporting this session.PRCA_HQ Disclaimer: Views expressed by the guest are their own and not necessarily endorsed by the Fuse podcast.

HR & internationale Arbeitsmodelle – it's a match!

For most of us, feelings are messy. Oftentimes, we don't have words for what we're feeling, and we get stuck in a dark and painful place. Because emotions can be complicated, we have so many strategies to not feel what we feel. But this often leaves us with a sense of numbness. We feel confused and chopped up inside. Giving our feelings language is like turning on the lights. It's how we begin to wake up to wholeness, to beauty, and to our own hearts again. Learning to notice, name, and process what we're feeling is also a key vehicle for growing in self-awareness. That's what author and spiritual director Anjuli Paschall and I talk about today. Anjuli brings such profound depth, vulnerability, and wisdom to this conversation as we talk about how to name our emotions, process them, and find God's presence in them. Feelings are important, but navigating difficult ones is hard. What do we do with the complicated emotions that often arise in life? Feelings that we've been taught we shouldn't feel as Christians? A lot of us push them down and pretend they don't matter. Others of us get stuck in the pain. But the Bible suggest a better way: "Pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge" (Psalm 62:8). How do we do that? I'm so glad you asked! Anjuli's Paschall's book, Feel: A Collection of Liturgies Offering Hope for Every Complicated Emotion, has been such a gift to me. And I absolutely LOVE our tender and raw conversation. We were both in tears as we talked about the disappointments and hurts that we've faced. Anjuli assures us that rather than tidying up our emotions, we can be real and raw with God as well. Her book helps us Key Takeaways: Emotions aren't good or bad - they're simply part of being human. Rather than denying our emotions, they can be an indicator light for the places God wants to heal. God gives us permission to feel - for we serve an emotional God! We have a Savior who not only understands our feelings, He invites us to bring them to Him. We can be honest with God and ourselves - rather than being overwhelmed by emotions, we can curious as we process them with Jesus. For they often reveal what God wants to heal. This is such an important conversation, you guys. And this book could literally change your life. Stuffing and denying our emotions only makes them come out sideways in anxiety, depression and issues with our health. How much better to bring them all to Jesus. Anjuli's book helps us do just that! Our guest is Anjuli Paschall, author of the new book "Feel: A Collection of Liturgies Offering Hope for Every Complicated Emotion." We have a conversation about the power and importance of our emotions, and how to engage with them in a healthy, transformative way. Anjuli has such an insightful and nuanced perspective on this topic. She talks about how she grew up in a Christian culture that often viewed certain emotions as "bad" or something to be suppressed. But she's come to see how crucial it is to name, feel, and bring our full range of emotions to God. We discuss how language and culture shape the way we experience and express our feelings. Anjuli shares powerful examples of how simply naming an emotion can be the first step towards healing and growth. And she walks us through the "liturgies" or guided prayers in her book - ways to authentically bring our messy, complicated emotions to the Lord. Our emotions are so central to the human experience, and to our spiritual lives and Anjuli offers wisdom and practical tools for embracing the full breadth of what we feel, and allowing that to draw us closer to God and one another. I think you'll find this discussion really insightful and helpful. So join us. Anjuli Paschall grew up in San Diego. She studied psychology at Point Loma Nazarene University and earned her graduate degree from Talbot Seminary in spiritual formation and soul care. She has been married for close to twenty years to her childhood friend Sam. Together, they founded Sojourn and Sage, a retreat and residency home for the weary. They have five beautiful children: Manoah, Samuel, Noelle, Hannaly, and Mea. Anjuli is the author of Stay and Awake. As a pastor's wife, writer, and spiritual director, she learned that feelings are the pathway to prayer. She loves chai tea, golden hour, and the color orange.Anjuli's Book:FeelJoin Our Patreon for Early Access and More: PatreonConnect with Joshua: jjohnson@allnations.usGo to www.shiftingculturepodcast.com to interact and donate. Do the holidays bring a mix of joy and complicated emotions for you? We're supposed to feel grateful, and parts of us do. But other parts of us feel nostalgic, driven by guilt, exhausted, or even angry. In this honest, vulnerable conversation, author and spiritual director Anjuli Paschall joins me to explore the emotions that surface during the holiday season. We talk about how to navigate these feelings with grace, and how these emotions can be gifts in disguise. We cover. . . * How to distinguish between true guilt and false guilt * The surprising connection between anger and exhaustion * Why nostalgia can be both comforting and bittersweet * Practical ways to honor all your feelings during this emotionally complex season * Anjuli's practice of praying through complicated emotions and finding God's presence in them Have a question for Dr. Alison? God created our emotions. Why is it so hard, then, to feel them, to know what to do with them? Author Anjuli Paschall and AllMomDoes host Julie Lyles Carr discuss how to take feelings to God, how to pray from what we're feeling, and how the complexities of our emotions can bring us closer to God.Show Notes: https://bit.ly/4en8biW
Your emotions are not your enemy. They are a gift. Feelings are messy, and we all have different strategies for dealing with them—usually controlling, avoiding, or indulging them. But what if you allowed yourself to follow your feelings in prayer instead of trying to run from them? In today's episode, Anjuli Paschall helps you move from being stuck in your feelings to a place of peace by: · Identifying and giving you words for every emotion--the good, the confusing, and the complicated--helping you name exactly what you feel · Offering you 75 prayers to pray--one for every feeling · Providing scripture for every emotion Her book Feel is a resource that will guide you throughout your day and offer you hope, wisdom, and courage through some of the most challenging seasons of your life. Instead of navigating around your feelings, allow them to guide you toward healing, wholeness, and abiding connection with God. Then, you will begin to see how feelings are a doorway into intimacy with a Savior who loves you. I am so excited to welcome my friend Anjuli Paschall to my show! Anjuli is a real life friend of mine and this episode reflects that. We laugh and cry together easily, share stories, and if we had cups of tea or coffee in our hands, it would feel like you had joined us as we hung out together in a coffee shop. One of the things I appreciate so much about Anjulu is that she doesn't try to fix everything with some cliché sentiment. Instead she listens intently and asks how I feel, thus inviting me to take my feelings to God instead of pushing them away. She is also not afraid to be vulnerable and through that she invites me into intimacy with her again and again. She is the kind of friend you want on the other end of the phone, text or across the table. Anjuli is a fellow author. She and I have walked through writing 3 books together! Her latestes book is called Feel—a Collection of Liturgies Offering Hope for Every Complicated Emotion. This book is like having a conversation with Anjuli. You'll feel seen, heard, and loved as you go through the book. It is a beautiful book and unlike anything I have ever seen. Our conversation will give you a glimpse of the book and all it has to offer. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did! They are not a mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. "Life doesn't have to be a battle. We don't have to fight to get ahead or fear falling behind. Instead, we can surrender. We can let go of life on our terms. As fear rises, we can refuse to put on our boxing gloves and instead lean on Jesus. I usually deal with my fear by using my own strength. When I sense my soul tensing up for a fight, I've learned to listen to the invitation to relax. I can enter my fear with Jesus. Like a litany, I live these words: soul, be still."Leave a comment on this excerpt by Anjuli Paschall: https://incourage.me/?p=237102--You don't have to keep trying to muster up more grit, willpower, or wisdom on your own. "God is patient with us. He is slow with us. He is unhurried with us. God isn't bothered by how long it takes us to get our act together or just get.it.right. Perhaps allowing people to change slowly is one of the greatest ways we can love each other. And for ourselves, perhaps letting the love of God do slow surgery in our hearts is one of the greatest gifts we can ever receive. We are not just becoming patient, we are the patient.P.S. After nearly five years of serving this beautiful community, this will be my last time writing for (in)courage. "Jesus came to us. He lowered Himself and came into our world, but He also continues to come into the caves we often hide ourselves away in. Christ came to lift us out of our guilt. He came to pour light into the darkness. The Christmas cure is to let the love of Christ fill your loneliness, cover your shame, and come into your guilt. You are free. Instead of reaching to resolve your pain on your own, receive the gift God is offering you through His son."Leave a message for Anjuli: https://incourage.me/?p=236288--This Christmas, prepare your heart and home with Simply Jesus: Christmas – a new keepsake magazine from DaySpring. "So when I feel agitation boiling up with me, I find ways to release it that won't cause harm. I find ways to get what I feel out of me. Sometimes I release my anger with words, deep breaths, or shouts in the shower. On good days, I invite others into my anger as well. Recently, my youngest child was having a fit. Noelle quickly ran into the other room and grabbed a pillow for her to scream in. And remember this: God is with us, especially in our anger."Leave a comment for Anjuli: https://incourage.me/?p=235391--Do you ever think about the impact of your smile, your words? I refuse to believe the lie anymore that right now is as good as it gets. Right now I am going to savor and give thanks for all I have been given, but I won't grab onto these gifts with a death grip. That path of trying to cling to my life only leads to more fear. It's true that I will encounter challenges ahead. But it is also true that behind every corner, love awaits me. "I had to give others the right to be wrong about me. I had to let go of the need to be seen as fully good in everyone's eyes. I released my reputation. I placed myself in the judgment seat. What was my defense? I am a child of God. Period. Though judgements were cast in my direction, it turned out that this seat was not a seat of execution, but a throne of grace. This is where God found me. This is where I found Him. This is where slow healing started."Leave a comment for Anjuli: https://incourage.me/?p=233816--It may be July, but we're already dreaming of Christmas. Why? "The dreams that matter most have little to do with results and everything to do with your formation.God is always, every time, and all the time about the formation of your heart to know His good, wide, and endless love. His dream for you is to be deeply formed by His expansive love. You, growing into your belovedness is God's greatest desire for your life."Leave a comment for Anjuli: https://incourage.me/?p=232992 --The summer issue of DaySpring's Everyday Faith magazine is now on newsstands! We are releasing this episode because we know that in addition to us, so many other people need it too. Today's guest is Dr. Anjuli Gans, a board-certified pediatrician and educator who runs the platform Resilient Rascals, and in this episode, we're diving into all things kid sickness. Dr. Anjuli reveals how we as parents can deal with our kids being sick, and what she shares is not only honest, but her tips and advice on this topic is both realistic and practical. We are in this with you, as we've certainly been in situations where our kids have been sick and have experienced the impact it has on everyone in the family. We learned so much from Dr. Anjuli today, and we're so excited for you to learn and use this information as well! As always, we want to hear your feedback and the biggest takeaways from what you heard in this episode, so please share your thoughts on Instagram and tag us, @resilientrascals and @herselfpodcast.
