This powerful exploration of Joshua chapter 2 takes us beyond the familiar story of Jericho's walls to uncover what it truly means to live with conquering faith. What's remarkable is that these spies found the one person in all of Jericho who believed in God, and she happened to be a prostitute whose very name means 'wide and spacious'—a stunning reminder that what we see as impossible, God sees as an opportunity to blow things wide open. We learn four essential pillars of conquering faith: trusting God's process even when it doesn't make sense, trusting His possibilities when circumstances seem hopeless, trusting His providence to provide exactly what we need, and trusting His preparation that goes before us into our future. The message challenges us to stop wandering in our own wilderness of doubt and step into the promised land of victory that God has already secured for us. Every promise we're meant to capture comes with a problem to be conquered, but God has already prepared the solution before we even arrive at the challenge.

You can choose to revel in the activities and workshops, or check out the band showcase gigs or watch/see/listen to any number of things, but the one thing that catches HEAVY every year is the range of live bands out there plying their trade.This year's BIGSOUND, to be held in the usual areas of Brisbane's Fortitude Valley over September 2 to 5, features more than 120 bands playing across 18 stages so it looks like we are going to have our work cut out for us.But getting to know the bands a little better beforehand always helps, so today we chat with one of the emerging bands from New Zealand heading this way for BIGSOUND, Grecco Romank.Described as offering dysfunctional music - the kind played in your uncle's garage rave while he's in the middle of a hellish k-hole after being dismissed from his drop-shipping office - in a world increasingly obsessed with the exact opposite, Grecco Romank are a breath of fresh air on a scene that is often weighed down too much in its own self-importance.But just to make sure the band are the genuine article, HEAVY sat down to chat with two of the three members, Billie Fee (classical soprano, vocals) and Damian Golfinopoulos (samples, synths and more), to find out just how interestingly different Grecco Romank really are."I've listened to every single one," Damian replied when we mentioned the number of bands playing at BIGSOUND. This week on the show Maine and Miranda Break down the rematch between Giancarlo Bodoni and  Elder Cruz, plus Preview GrappleFest 12 Dante Leon Vs PJ Barch.In the news section of the show we discuss JT Torres competing in the IBJJF taking double gold.In the recap section of the show we discussed Twister Church Faith and Violence #1 an 8 man 5000 dollar bracket that saw a rematch between Giancarlo Bodoni vs Elder Cruz in the finals.  We discussed how this match looked very similar to their ADCC East Coast North American Trials match from 2021 with a notable difference in Cruz underhook game in half guard, and posture. We talked about the controversial scoring sequence later in the match  that earned Giancarlo Bodoni a -1 in the ADCC scoring.   We also talked about Hasim Rida matches on the event.  In the preview of Grapplefest 12 we broke down another rematch in the main event between Dante Leonand PJ Barch and how Barch recent emphasis on passing may change this matchup that we last saw at No-Gi worlds.  We also previewed Ash Williamsvs Keith Krikorian in a battle of the ADCC Trials winners.  Plus discussed Jon Blankleg lock accolades and skills vs Eoghan O'Flanagan.  After that we looked at Jacob Couchtaking on Tom Breese, and the wrestling of Micheal Pixleyvs the Grecco and Judo of Owen Livesey.In the outro Miranda discussed her upcoming trip to Mexico. Recorded 5-16-2022

Gabriela de Lima Grecco muestra los métodos usados por los llamados “nuevos estados” para controlar la comunicación a través de la palabra escrita, por ejemplo, la prohibición por decreto, la decisión acerca de quién podía publicar, o qué títulos se consideraban subversivos. A pesar de estas circunstancias, la literatura también fue una herramienta para resistir los regímenes autoritarios y esta forma de resistencia fue usada tanto por escritores como lectores. Desde la perspectiva de la memoria histórica y de la historia intelectual, este libro estudia la producción de textos literarios “clandestinos”, de libros vendidos en secreto, la escritura de las mujeres en prisión, los libros que se escribieron pero que nunca se publicaron y otras circunstancias que la producción literaria enfrentó bajo los regímenes fascistas en España y Brasil.
