This week we are covering another chapter from the book “Duty to Defend,” and a chapter on gun free zones which is based on an interview with Rev. Ralph A. Abernethy III. We are going back to the grooveyard of forgotten favorites, with the original audio from that interview, originally released in 2016 in episode 43. Lloyd and Rev. I'm asking because every time something like this happens, they happen where people are less likely to be armed. Brenden Boudreau is the executive director of Great Lakes Gun Rights. Michigan Democrats seeking to expand “Gun Free Zones”
This week the National Crawford Roundtable discusses the tragic school shooting at Michigan State University on February 13th that left 3 students and the gunman dead and 5 other students in critical condition. The shooter's father is a Christian who says he was trying to get his son to go to church with him. The gunman, Andrew McRae, 43 years old, could not get over his Mom's sudden death in 2020 and withdrew from the world quitting his job and staying in his room playing video games at his father's home. He appears to have just snapped. Democrats are predictably calling for more gun restriction laws and blame the GOP and NRA for these types of shootings. Michigan State University is a "Gun-Free Zone". Is it time to end "Gun-Free Zones"? Then the guys will talk about the latest news on the various balloons and objects being shot down over the United States and Canada. Why does there seem to be so many of these shoot-downs lately? Could it be that China is just now further testing Biden or has activity like this been going on for a while, but was just ignored? What about the NORAD Commander telling reporters he is "not ruling out" extra-terrestrial explanations? Are there such things as UFOs and alien life?

As the Honolulu City Council gets ready to debate a laundry list of proposed gun-free zones, they're hearing from hundreds of residents sounding off on the idea; and somewhat surprisingly given the hostility towards the Second Amendment among state lawmakers, the vast majority of the public's comments are squarely opposed to the council's plans.
As New York's new concealed carry regulations go into effect in response to the Supreme Court ruling that overturned previous policy, Jon Campbell, Albany reporter for WNYC and Gothamist, talks about the designated "gun-free zone" in Midtown and how the new regulations will be enforced.
A 22-year old was able to stop a targeted attack on an Indiana mall on Sunday, but only because he violated the mall's "no weapons" policy and was carrying a handgun of his own. While the armed citizen isn't likely to face chargers, the defensive gun use is another demonstration that "gun-free zones" don't stop violent criminals, but could prevent law-abiding citizens from acting in self-defense or the defense of others.
On Tuesday, May 24th, a gunman opened fire at an elementary school in Ulvade, Texas, killing 19 students and two teachers. Sadly, this has become an all-too-common occurrence in our nation. As we grapple with how to respond, it's important to acknowledge a simple truth: we have a spiritual problem of massive proportions in this country. We cannot legislate the human heart. Today I'll be discussing the spiritual implications of this tragedy, and why I believe that “gun free zones'' will never be the answer to gun violence.
