A draft class searching for traction The Detroit Lions Podcast put the 2024 draft class under a harsh light. Two years in, the group has flashed but not finished. The Detroit Lions need more in the NFL's tight margins. This feels like a prove-it season for the entire class, headlined by first-round pick Terryon Arnold at No. 24 overall after a trade up with Dallas from 28. Terryon Arnold needs consistent CB1 tape Arnold has shown it in stretches. Early last year he looked the part outside. Midseason he matured. He played less handsy. He read the receiver better. Then came the injury. Then penalties. Then a general lack of effectiveness. He has not played like a first-rounder yet. The expectation remains that he opens 2026 as a starting outside cornerback. The benefit of the doubt is fading. He has one more season before the fifth-year option decision becomes straightforward or complicated. The Dallas trade context matters Detroit paid a first and a third to move up for Arnold. Those Dallas picks turned into Tyler Guyton and Cooper Beebe. Guyton has started at tackle and shown an inconsistent but impressive profile. Beebe has started at center and been decent, short of high expectations. No one knows if the Lions would have made the same choices. They did spend time with Beebe at the Senior Bowl. Viewed through that prism, the move has not produced the intended return yet in Detroit. Ennis Rakestraw's availability and a crowded slot Rakestraw has played eight games in two years. Multiple injuries hit both seasons, echoing a college pattern where timing hurt his offseasons more than his Saturdays. This is a big year for him. The room around him has tightened. Detroit drafted Keith Abney in that spot and signed Roger McCreery there. Christian Risdon and Avante Maddox can play slot nickel. Outside, they brought Brockus back. Nick Whiteside is back, and to this point he has shown more in coverage than Rakestraw. The challenge is clear. Day 3 pieces still seeking a spark Giovanni Manu arrived as an offensive lineman from British Columbia in the fourth. Also in the fourth, Vaki was listed as a safety at Utah but Detroit drafted him to play running back, a role he handled at Utah and at the Senior Bowl. In the sixth, Mangin Wingo came in at defensive tackle from LSU. The Lions also added guard Chris Mahogany from Boston College. Collectively, the group has been underwhelming and frustrating. There is time, but not much, for this class to match the standard set elsewhere on the roster. The 2026 tape has to change the story. #detroitlions #lions #detroitlionspodcast #terrionarnold #ennisrakestraw #giovannimanu #2024nfldraft #mekhiwingo #christianmahogany #sionevaki Learn more about your ad choices. Glennda Baker has been a real estate broker for decades, built a massive social media following teaching everyday people how to buy and sell smart, and learned some of the biggest money lessons the hard way… including a divorce where her ex looked her in the face and called her a "cash cow." Today, she joins Nicole to share what she knows about protecting your wealth, winning in today's housing market, and building real estate into generational wealth. Glennda gets raw about her own financial trauma: the manipulation she didn't see coming in her marriage, the moment she was evicted to a vacant rental with her son and hit rock bottom, and why she will never get married again. She explains exactly how divorce hits women differently than men, including a hidden math problem most people miss when splitting a house at today's interest rates. Then Nicole and Glennda get into the real estate playbook. They fact-check the viral real estate advice flooding your feed, from writing letters to homeowners to get off-market deals, to using a HELOC for a down payment, to buying property through individual LLCs. Glennda also makes her case for why buying a house for your kid beats a 529, why private equity is keeping Bobby and Susie off the property ladder, and the one negotiation move every buyer should make at closing. I'm an AvGeek. I like plane and travel videos and one of the regulars I watch is a guy called Nonstop Dan. He's American and has just been here giving the world the predictable view of the place. He can't believe how amazing it is, he can't believe how remote it is, and he is thinking of moving here. He won't of course because most don't. But you get the vibe when you come from outside that this really is an extraordinary place. Part of it is that nothing happens, which is why one of our offshore children was telling us how ridiculous this country looked to him and his mates this past week melting down about the cyclone that wasn't. Not the actual weather, or the bits that got hit, but the mad buildup. The endless, angst-driven hyperbole as day after day the media told us to take action, run for our lives, pack a go-bag, duck for cover and change our travel. From the other side of the world, they could not believe what too many were turning this into. His conclusion is we are so small and literally nothing happens, so we need to invent stuff and upon receipt of some weather we went to town on it. Another relative told us yesterday he was convinced if we were to organise a lockdown reunion, with special sourdough segments and a reprise of the Pulpit of Truth, you'd be amazed at how many would be into it. Maybe that's the trick. Maybe that's why the media, or bits of it, are a bubble. They can't see it, they don't get out and they just co-exist in their microcosm of smallness feeding off each other. Maybe you need to live on the other side of the world, where it's kind of chaotic and busy to get a better perspective. If a 24-year-old can see it from Britain you then need to ask what is the balance between Nonstop Dan looking at our beauty and serenity and wanting a slice of it, and our small-village idiocy that must be damaging our reputation, not to mention our productivity? And how do we strike a balance? Our isolation and location are a wonder to many. Yet our fear, myopic navel gazing, and predilection for being told how to live our lives and behave has got to be holding us back. We seem to be a bit lost trying to find the sweet spot. Power can be used to protect—or to destroy. In this episode of Talk'N Truth, Dan Whitney (aka Larry the Cable Guy), Arnie Cole, and Pastor Bryan Clark take an unflinching look at the abuse of power through one of the darkest stretches in David's story. Drawing from 2 Samuel 20, the conversation exposes how leaders like Joab, Absalom, Sheba, and even David himself used influence for personal gain—and how innocent people paid the price. From the unnamed woman who saves an entire city, to the ten concubines whose lives are permanently altered, this chapter forces us to slow down and remember: these aren't abstract Bible characters—they're real people, deeply wounded by the selfish choices of powerful men. The guys wrestle honestly with why humanity hasn't changed, why power so often corrupts, and why Scripture consistently condemns using people instead of serving them. They also highlight the Bible's surprisingly high view of women, lifting up courageous, unnamed figures whose wisdom and bravery bring peace where violence was imminent. Beyond ancient history, the episode turns personal. Dan shares about influence, identity, and why success can quietly become a substitute for Jesus if we're not careful. Whether you're a pastor, parent, leader, or simply someone with a small circle of influence, the question is unavoidable: Are you using what you've been given to help others flourish—or to serve yourself? This conversation ultimately points forward to Jesus—the only leader who never abused power, never exploited others, and laid His life down instead. Grace is real. Redemption is possible. But influence always comes with responsibility. Perfect for viewers interested in: Bible study podcasts, abuse of power, leadership and influence, 2 Samuel 20, King David, Joab, biblical justice, women in Scripture, Christian identity, humility, repentance, and living out faith with integrity. #BibleStudy #ChristianPodcast #TalkNTruth #LarryTheCableGuy #ArnieCole #BryanClark #Leadership #AbuseOfPower #2Samuel20 #ChristianLiving #FaithAndInfluence #BackToTheBible #UseYourInfluence

Guest host Andy Peth steps in for John Rush on https://RushToReason.com. and Luke Cashman joins him. They set the tone with humor, then pivot to the most controversial issues shaping America today. What do crime statistics say about gun ownership? Why do attackers target "gun-free zones"? As Andy and Luke clash and converge, the conversation moves past slogans. They discuss culture, deterrence, mental health, and personal responsibility. Listeners are challenged to reconsider widely accepted narratives. Real-world examples and historical comparisons raise uncomfortable questions. Do limiting tools stop violence, or just change its method? Is freedom a risk, or does it make society safer? The hour shifts into a bigger debate on liberty, touching on fear, control, and why younger generations may be uneasy with others' freedoms. With sharp analysis, satire, and blunt honesty, Hour 1 sets the stage. It offers a deeper look at crime trends, civil liberties, and the values behind America's debates. Are we solving problems, or just avoiding the real ones? HOUR 2 Andy Peth and Luke continue in hour 2 for a fast-moving, high-stakes conversation that spans economics, culture, faith, and policy. Starting with a blunt reassessment of Donald Trump's economic strategy, challenging dire predictions of tariffs and inflation while highlighting wage growth, energy policy, and stark cost-of-living differences between red and blue states. Is an economic boom ahead—and why don't people feel it yet? The conversation then pivots to one of the country's biggest identity questions: Is America still a Christian nation? Andy and Luke explore Christianity not as a forced belief, but as a system built on choice, reward, and consequence, finding unexpected common ground despite different worldviews. The hour closes with a sharp cultural turn—questioning Hollywood's direction, the politics of “woke” entertainment, and the ethics and cost of gender-affirming medical procedures for minors. Should children be making irreversible decisions? And how do economics, ideology, and compassion collide? Hour 2 challenges assumptions and dares listeners to rethink the narratives driving today's debates. HOUR 3 Andy Peth teams up with Jerzee Joe for a gripping third hour that asks some of the most uncomfortable questions facing America right now. Is the country truly abandoning Christianity? As shocking statistics reveal how fast religious affiliation and church attendance are collapsing, the discussion challenges listeners to ask why—and what replaces faith when belief disappears. The hour then turns toward truth itself. In an age of viral clips and artificial intelligence, how much of what we “know” is actually real? From misleading tax claims to fake AI-generated videos, Andy and Joe warn that confirmation bias may be doing more damage than political opponents ever could. Are Americans being deceived—or willingly deceiving themselves? As the tension builds, even voices from the left begin sounding alarms. When commentators like Bill Maher start questioning socialism, public media, and government narratives, does it signal a cultural turning point—or panic? The hour closes with explosive allegations of massive fraud in Minnesota uncovered by independent journalist Nick Shirley. If one YouTuber can find it, why didn't the state? And when voters step into the booth, will accountability finally matter—or will loyalty win again?
Send us a textThe mixtapes raised a generation, but the documentary forces a reckoning. We pull back the curtain on Sean Combs' climb from Uptown intern to Bad Boy mogul and walk through the cultural milestones that made the 90s feel invincible—then we test those memories against the stories many never wanted to tell. From Jodeci's leather-and-Timb boots to Mary J's raw soul, from Craig Mack's spark to Biggie's reign, we trace how a glossy East Coast sound took over radio while rivalries with Death Row and the Source Awards lit a fuse the industry couldn't control. The conversation gets real when the music stops and the power starts. We revisit the Quad Studio shooting, the tensions around Pac and Biggie, and the Vegas night that still haunts hip-hop's timeline. Alongside the headlines are the quieter mechanics: contracts that promised fame but not wealth, gatekeeping that rewarded silence, and the uncomfortable calculus of access over ethics. “Making the Band” nostalgia turns into a lesson on control and career stall-outs; claims from collaborators like Little Rod introduce intimate, manipulative receipts that are hard to shake. The documentary doesn't act as judge; it catalogs patterns and asks what we ignore to keep our favorite songs untouched.By the end, we're weighing legal outcomes against moral clarity. Did public campaigns sway the process? How much responsibility lies with the machine around a star—managers, peers, fans—who benefit while looking away? For listeners who lived the era, this is a gut check: can we separate art from artist, or does the backstory change how the music hits? Hit play for a candid, layered walkthrough of The Reckoning, the East–West fault lines, and the costs hiding in fine print. This week, we sit down for a vulnerable check-in and ask the question every artist quietly carries: Are we actually making it? Several months after our rebrand, we reflect on how the show is feeling, what's working, what's shifting, and where we're still finding our footing. With so many creatives struggling in the current climate, we talk openly about our place in the industry—what we're contributing, how we're showing up for our audience, and whether or not we're nurturing our art. It leads us into a conversation about legacy: the difference between the accomplishments that fill a CV and the qualities that would fill a eulogy. Ultimately, the latter feels far more important. If you're feeling pushed away by life or as though the world is making things harder than usual, this episode might offer the perspective you need. We explore motivation, meaning, and the mindset shifts that keep us going even when the path gets rocky. A gentle, honest, soul-level episode for anyone walking the artist's road—especially those wondering whether to keep going. The fund was created in 2020 by Epstein's estate after his death, as a voluntary, confidential alternative to litigation for survivors of sexual abuse by Epstein. It was administered independently by Jordana Feldman, and open to any individual alleging abuse by Epstein, regardless of statute-of-limitations or prior litigation. Claimants were asked to supply detailed descriptions of their abuse, undergo review, accept an offer, and sign a broad release that barred future lawsuits against the estate or many alleged enablers. By its conclusion in 2021, the program processed roughly 225 applications, deemed around 150 eligible, and distributed approximately $121 million to about 150 survivors.Critically, while the fund offered a quicker and less adversarial route, many survivors and advocates argue it was structured to limit exposure of Epstein's estate and his enablers rather than fully liberate survivors. Accepting the fund's offer meant waiving future claims against not only the estate but often other involved parties—potentially constraining further accountability. Moreover, subsequent reporting shows that even after the fund's closure, significant assets claimed by the estate remain unallocated, raising the question of whether victims received a fair share of Epstein's full fortune. With only about a quarter of the estate's estimated value reportedly reaching survivors, the fund's efficacy and fairness are under heavy scrutiny.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

On Healthy Mind, Healthy Life, Avik sits down with speculative fiction author and trained psychedelic facilitator Diana Colleen to unpack trauma recovery, the realities and limits of psychedelic-assisted therapy (without naming specific medicines), and her provocative debut novel They Could Be Saviors—which reframes “billionaireism” as a social sickness. This direct, no-fluff conversation explores set & setting, integration, consent, safety, wealth inequality, climate accountability, and the difference between recreational use and therapeutic containers. If you care about mental health, trauma healing, leadership ethics, wealth concentration, or climate responsibility, this episode gives you a grounded lens you can use—today. About the Guest : Diana Colleen is a speculative fiction author and trained psychedelic facilitator. Her debut novel, They Could Be Saviors, challenges cultural blind spots around extreme wealth and power while drawing from her personal healing journey with psychedelic-assisted therapy in professional, regulated settings. Key Takeaways : Psychedelic-assisted therapy is a container, not a shortcut: outcomes depend on set (mindset/intentions), setting (safety/support), and integration after sessions. Not recreational: therapy work is distinct from concerts/party contexts; trained facilitators and screening reduce risk and support trauma processing. Hope is a catalyst: one properly supported session can interrupt suicidal ideation; long-term change still requires consistent integration and support. Ethics of wealth: framing billionaireism as hoarding surfaces social and environmental costs; calling it an “illness” invites accountability without dehumanization. Climate and power: a small number of companies drive a disproportionate share of emissions; leadership choices have cascading public-health impacts. Nuance over extremes: billionaires aren't heroes or villains by default—human backstories and trauma shape choices; responsibility for impact remains. Regulation vs. capture: therapeutic use should be regulated for safety without turning into extractive, monopolized pharma pipelines. Culture change through story: fiction can challenge blind spots and make complex debates discussable without shutting people down. Vaccines are often hailed as one of the greatest medical achievements of the 20th century, but what if that story is missing some key chapters?I'm Dr. Jason Hall, and in this episode of The Trillium Show, I sit down with Roman Bystrianyk, co-author of Dissolving Illusions, for a conversation that made me question everything I was taught in medical school about disease, immunity, and the history of vaccines.Roman's research takes us beyond the standard “one germ, one drug” model and into terrain theory, which suggests that a healthy internal environment, not just microbial exposure, determines whether we get sick. We dig into historical data showing massive declines in infectious diseases like measles, scarlet fever, and whooping cough long before vaccines were introduced, thanks to improvements in sanitation, nutrition, and public health. We also talk about:Why terrain theory might matter more today than everHow modern medicine's financial incentives shape what we're taughtWhy critical thinking is your most powerful tool in any doctor's officeThe potential downsides of overrelying on vaccines as a cure-allAnd how you can take real ownership of your health and immune systemThis isn't a call to ignore science, it's an invitation to ask better questions and take a deeper look at what health really means.- Grab Dissolving Illusions or visit dissolvingillusions.com- Check out Roman's Substack for more independent research- DM me @drjasonhall or leave a comment if this episode challenged your thinkingIf you've ever wondered whether we've been oversimplifying complex health issues, this one's for you.

On this episode of the NHRA Insider Podcast powered by Speedmaster, Tony Pedregon and Kevin McKenna join host Brian Lohnes to talk all things off season. The trio get into the day to day shop routine of the teams, the leadership aspects necessary to succeed in this vital part of the year, and how the good teams can make themselves great. Following that they talk about some of the larger stories of the late 2024 and early 2025 time frame, which teams can come out swinging, who is thrashing just to make the first event, and how the drivers can let us more into their particular off-season habits as well. It's a cool and informative discussion about the ways that drag racers thwart Old Man Winter, chase horsepower, and fill their war wagons before the season kicks off in a few short weeks for many. Beat the cold with some good old hot stove drag racing chat!
In the mid-90's everyone had a personal desktop computer and decompression software was the new tool for dive planning. This week, we discuss Bill Hamilton and George Irvine's look at decompression software. The path for ascent was evolving, but we were still working with adapting the same old navy tables.

We had JL Collins, the Godfather of Financial Independence, on the show earlier this year, and there was one question we seemed to disagree on: Are the dollars and cents of life actually harder today than they used to be, or does it just feel that way? This prompted a listener to ask for a deeper dive: The official Boomer vs. Zoomer cage match of economic strife to understand, all else held equal, how the financial worlds these generations grew up in are different (and, more intriguing, the striking ways in which they've never been more alike). Today's episode is a then-and-now comparison into housing, education, wages, inflation, and investing—and I think it's going to surprise you.
