Let's look AGAIN at the TEN lepers Jesus HEALED. In the final STAGES of their DISEASE the flesh literally BEGAN dropping OFF their BODIES. But notice, Jesus didn't lay hands on them or pray for them. He didn't even address their leprosy. Instead He COMMANDED them to go and show THEMSELVES to the priest. How odd. To SOME of US it MIGHT even seem RIDICULOUS. But BEFORE God WILL do the MIRACULOUS, sometimes He will ASK you to DO the RIDICULOUS. Indeed, when He TELLS you to do SOMETHING it may not SEEM like it's even RELATED to what YOU are PRAYING about at all. When that HAPPENS, you have a DECISION to make: DOUBT Him or OBEY Him. Instead of discussing the ISSUE ENDLESSLY, just do what He's TOLD you to! SOMETIMES God will GIVE you 'a word' and it LOOKS like it's not WORKING but it is, even when it DOESN'T LOOK like it. The FAITH that God RESPONDS to does not REQUIRE explanations. 'And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed' (v. 14 NKJV). Note the words, 'as they went.' The Bible says, 'The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord' (Psalm 37:23 NKJV). When God tells you SOMETHING, STEP OUT on it. Try to imagine this: while they are WALKING, their toes are GROWING back. As they move in obedience to His word, a stub TURNS back into a finger. Don't STOP now. Keep walking. After being released from Liverpools academy as a teenager Dale wasn't sure if he would remain in the game at all. Tranmere was his last chance and he hit the ground running, playing for the first team at just 17 years of age. He impressed that much that the mighty Bayern Munich signed him for a fee that could potentially rise to 1.8m. After struggling with injury and the way of life in Germany Dale came back to England and had spells with Barnsley and MK Dons amongst others. On July 28th, 1998 I had a heart attack, I died and I found myself on my way to hell. The Lord Jesus had mercy on me and He let me come back. I was at that stage a saved man, I had accepted the Lord Jesus as my Lord and Savior, I was baptized in water, I was baptized in the Holy Spirit, I knew the voice of the Lord and He was speaking to me. But that morning I woke up with a terrible pain in my chest and I died. I found myself going down a deep black hole and I knew I was on my way to hell. I pleaded with the Lord Jesus to let me come back. He let me come back when I pleaded and asked and said:"Lord, let me go and tell the world, let me tell people, that this is real." Many people have asked me why it was that I was on my way to hell even though I was saved. Dear friends, the reason is that I was serving God, MY WAY. I was an above average Christian.. I was a serious Christian. I was a person who knew the voice of the Lord Jesus, but I was serving the Lord MY WAY. I was not fruitful. The only way that we can be fruitful is if we serve Jesus as disciples, HIS WAY, not my way, HIS WAY. Knowing the voice of the Lord is one thing but following Him, waiting on Him, serving Him as Master, that is another thing and that is what He requires of us. We cannot serve Jesus our way. He is not interested in that. We cannot bear fruit if we serve Him our way. I tried to reconcile being a Christian with being a business man, with living a "normal" life, like all the other Christians and I was under the impression that I was doing very well, but by God's standard I came short, it wasn't good enough, I was on my way to hell. It was the biggest fright I ever had in my life and since that day I have never been at ease again with Jesus because I fear Him, because I know that He has got ONE STANDARD, friends, and that is HIS WAY. We have got to seek Him, we have got to listen to His voice. What I think does not matter. My opinion, does not count. All that matters is Jesus. Is He pleased with me, is He satisfied with me? Am I obedient to Him? Am I doing what He wants me to do? Am I a disciple? Am I truly pleasing to Him? Dear friends we can only be fruitful and pleasing to Jesus if we serve Him as LORD, as MASTER, if we wait on Him and if we DO what He TELLS us to do. I got to know Jesus. I love Him, I fear Him, I respect Him. I will die again. I will leave this body, but then I want to be ready. I want to be going UP, not DOWN and that is why I am following Jesus. I am working for His Kingdom. God's standard is not our standard, my friends. Jesus wants TOTAL, TOTAL devotion. He is calling you. For in Romans 8:1-2, The Spirit of God Tells You Directly and Frankly: There Is No Condemnation, No Guilty Verdict, No Punishment for you herein Christ Jesus, Who Believe in Him as your personal LORD and Savior. For the Law of the Spirit of Life which is in Christ Jesus, the Lord your new be, Has Set You Free from the law of sin and death.What the law could not, that is overcome sin and remove its penalty and its power, because it was weak by man's flesh in nature without the Holy Spirit, God did: He Sent His Own Son in the Likeness of Sinful Man As an Offering for Sale. God is with you.The LORD is with you, He Never Leaves you Nor Forsakes you, He Tells you to be Strong and Courageous. He commands you, to Be strong, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed or discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:5,9; Hebrews 13:5) So you can take comfort and be encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The LORD is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm. I will not fear or dread or be terrified. What can man do to me? Psalms 27:1, 118:6, Hebrews ‭13:6‬ You can say, with David: THE LORD is my Light and my Salvation–whom shall I fear or dread? The Lord is the Refuge and Stronghold of my life–of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm ‭27:1‬ The LORD is on my side and takes my part, He is among those who help me; therefore I see my desire established upon those who hate me. It is better to trust and take refuge in the Lord than to put confidence in man. Psalm ‭118:7-8‬ 3. God Acts on your behalfFor since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seenseen a God besides You, Who works and shows Himself active on behalf of him who earnestly waits for Him!. Isaiah ‭64:4‬ As it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for you who love Him. He reveals them to you through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. I Corinthians ‭2:9-10‬ The Key is to Wait and Hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring. Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord. Psalm ‭27:14‬ When you wait for the LORD, you Expect, Look for, and Hope in Him to Renew your Strength and Power, making you ready and equal to anything through Him Infusing Inner Strength into you. For you are Filled with All the Fullness of God, who lives in you.
