Een aflevering waarin ik samen met Roos Forman (@fitroosje) haar ervaring rondom borstimplantaten bespreek. Roos liet een borstvergroting doen en niet veel later kreeg zij enorm veel (vage) klachten. Roos leefde gezond, was bewust van haar leefstijl, deed van alles om zichzelf te ondersteunen, maar alsnog bleef de situatie hetzelfde. Hartkloppingen, een zwak immuunsysteem, gewrichtspijn, onbedoelde gewichtstoename, futloosheid/extreme vermoeidheid, verminderde gemoedstoestand zijn een aantal symptomen die naar boven kwamen. Roos raakte zichzelf een beetje kwijt en de kleur en expressie in haar gezicht verdween. Toen zij 'Breast Implant Ilness (BII)' een aantal keer voorbij zag komen op social media gaf haar onderbuikgevoel al snel aan dat haar borstimplantaten de oorzaak waren van deze problemen. Al deze klachten ontstonden immers nadat zij deze had gekregen. Er wordt weinig gesproken over deze eventuele gevolgen, maar ik denk dat het goed is ook deze kant van implantaten eens aandacht te geven. Zeker wanneer jij dit mogelijk herkend. Roos verteld openhartig en eerlijk over haar ervaring. Ook bespreken we het stukje zelfbeeld en de relatie met haar lichaam wat haar heeft doen overhalen de borstvergroting te ondergaan.
