Did you know that bathrooms and showers – particularly in shared spaces – are a veritable breeding ground for pathogen, some of which we see in the form of mold and the build-up of toxic bio films on surfaces. Body fats and soap scums provide a rich food sauce for micro-organisms such as airborne bacteria Serratia Marcescens, which thrive in humid conditions. We know that people with weakened immune systems are so much more vulnerable to the illnesses associated with infection and let's face it, none of us go into the shower with an expectation that we might get sick. So how do we keep those shower walls clean? Well let's think big – BIG TILES. Porcelanosa have developed XXL Hygienic Ceramic Tiles that are 5 feet long - which means just one piece fits the wall of a shower or tub surround. XTONE Porcelain slabs are 10 feet high which means a floor to ceiling surface with no joints. Why does this matter? Well hygienic glaze will not harbor pathogen and surface impurities are easily removed to prevent build up – it is reassuring to know the evidence - INTERNATONAL STANDARDS Test ISO 10545 - Resistance to Stains -  has determined these surfaces can be easily cleaned and the most difficult contaminants washed away, greatly reducing the need for aggressive chemicals. Think about this. When we unload our dishwasher our ceramic tableware is sparkling clean, sanitized and fresh to use - again and again. The principle is the same with large ceramic walls - So, when planning the shower surrounds for your facilities please reach out to Porcelanosa. The designer in you will love the incredible options and your specification will deliver the longest & best lifecycle value bar none.

If there's one thing busy moms have in common, it would be that there are so many things to do with so little time. Most of us don't have a few hours a day that we can spend on self-care. Many moms are knowledgeable about the fundamentals of their careers, but then the idea of wellness always takes a backseat. It's time that we rethink the things that are really important to us as we work our way toward success. And so, I wanted to bring Dr. Jonathan Glass today to help us uncover some Ayurvedic and self-care practices that time-poor moms can incorporate into their daily, weekly, or monthly routine. Self-care is a necessity, it's not a privilege, so make it a non-negotiable part of your everyday life.  Jonathan Glass, M.Ac, is the founder and author of the Total Life Cleanse. He is a Naturopathic Doctor, Master Acupuncturist, Ayurvedic Practitioner, energy healer, herbalist, and Natural Health Educator. Jonathan served on the faculty of the New England School of Acupuncture and the Dharma Institute of Yoga and Ayurveda. He has facilitated thousands through his JivAtma Energy Healing and Total Life Cleanse programs. Jonathan has been in private practice since 1987 when he co-founded the Healing Essence Center with his wife Katherine, in Concord, Massachusetts. Hopefully, this episode will inspire you to develop these self-care practices. You don't have to overwhelm yourself and do them all at once. Slowly incorporate these practices until they turn into habits.  In this episode, you will hear: How is Ayurveda within your reach as a busy mom without three hours for self-care Writers put out a lot of energy – so how can you refill your cup? How to prevent burnout and be present for your work, life, and that of your kids The case for teaching your kids that mommy's self-care is sacred A super practical technique to calm your nervous system and feel more adaptive Why cleaning up your diet today is even more important than it was for prior generations How to not offend your own knowledge about the food/habits that heal or hurt your body Why interrupting stress once a day, weekly, or quarterly is a good thing The importance of moving the body and breathing The key to a long, sustainable writing career is self-care What is spiritual, mental, and emotional hygiene? Ways to lower your standard for perfect self-care including meditating Supporting Resources: Shop: Total Life Cleanse: A 28-Day Program to Detoxify and Nourish the Body, Mind, and Soul   Enjoy the book: https://amzn.to/3UE4vjR Website: www.healingessencecenter.com  Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/JonathanGlass108  SHARE this episode with a working mom who might also want to write a book someday.  Similar Episodes: A Spiritual Journey: A Look into Your Masculine and Feminine Sides with Johnson Chong, Episode 131 How to Cultivate Compassion and Kindness Through Meditation and Mindfulness with Jason Partington of The Sit, Episode 118 Subscribe and Review Have you subscribed to my podcast for moms who read and want to write a nonfiction book? So much going on including Hurricane Ian...pls stay safe everyone that way!Six weeks and we'll be voting for the mayor. I am excited to promote Rick Caruso who is for medical freedom and is clearly a genuine human being wanting to make LA work. More on that sometime.Today I spoke to Kim Elia about Homeopathy and his upcoming documentary on Homeopathy. So many people have no idea what it is. I blame the Flexner Report of 1910!As for me, I am super excited my book, Transforming Trauma, a drugless and creative path to healing PTS and ACE is coming out tomorrow in the UK - you can order it for free shipping from Book Depository or you can wait til October 20th when it comes out in North America...Here's Kim's bio.He was inspired to study homeopathy when he read Gandhi's quote about homeopathy, how it was “…the latest and refined method of treating patients economically and non-violently.”  He has been studying homeopathy since 1987 and graduated from the New England School of Homeopathy in 1990. Kim was in clinical practice with Dr. Paul Herscu, author of The Homeopathic Treatment of Children, Pediatric Constitutional Types. Kim is the former Director of Nutrition at Heartwood Institute, California, and has certified many nutritionists across the state of California. During that same time, he was the Director of Fasting at Heartwood, and worked with fasting therapeutics with thousands of people. When Kim was a trainer for Cell Tech, a company providing whole food nutritional supplements, he managed and trained a large group of independent distributors. He traveled throughout the United States presenting nutritional and motivational seminars and developing his trademark dynamic, entertaining lecture style.Kim serves as CEO of WholeHealthNow, the distributors of OPUS Homeopathic Software and Books in North America. Kim provides and coordinates software training and support, and oversees new software development with an international team of homeopaths and software developers. In the late 1990's, Kim was motivated to provide the most comprehensive and free resource for the worldwide homeopathic community. He was instrumental in the creation of WholeHealthNow's comprehensive website, including its Homeopathy Timeline, its Find the Remedy Name, and its ever growing list of Homeopathic Webinars. Kim's intent is to bring the homeopathic community together and to train effective practitioners who will bring homeopathic medicine forward into the mainstream. Students from around the world have expressed appreciation and admiration for Kim's superb knowledge of the history of homeopathy history, his deep understanding of homeopathic prescribing, and for his dynamic and up-beat teaching methods which reflect his immense knowledge of the remedies and his genuine desire to educate everyone about this affordable and effective healing modality. Kim was the principal instructor and developer of the four year classical homeopathy program at the Hahnemann Academy in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan.
