The actor and writer join Nick and Angela to talk about the new series of The Responder. Martin Freeman is a man of many genres and he has mastered most of them in his 27 year career. We first fell in love with him as Tim in The Office in 2001; he gained cult status as Dr Watson in Sherlock in 2010; and then hit the big time as Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit in 2012. Martin won a Bafta and an Emmy for Sherlock and last year scooped an International Emmy for his portrayal of Chris Carson in The Responder. Tony Schumacher spent 12 years as a policeman in Liverpool before a period of poor mental health forced him to take stock. While on the road to healing, Tony tried his hand at stand-up comedy and, encouraged by his wife, decided to pursue his dream of becoming an author. Tony has written three novels and penned his critically-acclaimed BBC drama with Martin Freeman in mind. Nick welcomes our guests with a negroni while Angela prepares the best bolognese by Martha Collison, a dish specially requested by Martin. The meal is paired with a Villa Antinori Rosso by the experts at Waitrose. Talk around the table kicks off with praise for Martin Freeman's Liverpudlian accent, we find out what makes Tony cry and Martin recalls the day he decided vegetarianism was no longer for him. Just so you know, our podcast might contain the occasional mild swear word or adult theme. Seattle threw the ball more last season than many expected and more than Pete Carrol likely wanted to do. After all, Pete Carroll is still the guy that would rather have Chris Carson eat than Russell Wilson cook. Unfortunately, injuries at the running back position prevented the Seahawks from running it as much as they would have liked. Rashaad Penny was limited to just 5 games, and Kenneth Walker missed some time as well, leaving the backfield in the hands of Travis Homer and DeeJay Dallas. Seattle just missed the playoffs last season but with another season, like last year from the comeback player of the year, Geno Smith, Seattle should punch a ticket to the postseason. It's time to break it all down from the depth chart to off-season moves, we look at the #49ers through a fantasy lens to help you determine which players you can trust, which players will bust, and which players are worth taking a shot on in 2023. Make sure to like and Subscribe for #fantasyfootballadvice you can trust.

The guy under center in San Francisco is Trey Lance and with his skill set Kyle Shanahan should have fun with a mobile QB at the helm who comes equipped with a cannon. With Deebo Samuel getting paid and George Kittle continuing to be a mismatch nightmare, the 49ers offense can be both explosive and balanced, the lone question comes on the interior of the offensive line. Arizona has issues and whether you think it's Kyler Murray to blame or Kliff Kingsbury, the bottom line is the Arizona Cardinals need to close strong this season. The off-season proved to be tumultuous, but now cooler heads must prevail. Seattle said goodbye to Russell Wilson and they lost Chris Carson to a severe neck injury. With one of the best quarterbacks leaving for Denver and a roster chalk full of holes, we question if Pete Carroll survives and is around for the next rebuild. The defending Super Bowl Champions reside west in the form of the Los Angeles Rams. A gritty victory over the Bengals to claim the Lombardi Trophy helped Sean McVay recover from his humbling experience against Bill Belichick several years ago. We welcome back spine specialist, Dr. Bob Greenleaf, spine surgeon, to discuss two spine related topics - Mike Trout and costovertebral dysfunction as well as Chris Carson and cervical fusion. Was Jack Eichel right to hold out for disc replacement surgery instead of fusion? Lastly, as a couple of former college wrestlers, Dr. Greenleaf and I 'weigh in' on ring worm and Fernando Tatis's suspension.
Looking back at Wednesday and Thursday last week, the first two days of training camp where coach Pete Carroll and Seahawks players spoke to the media. Jordyn Brooks talked about the value of having his first full offseason program since joining the team and Rashaad Penny reacted to the announcement of Chris Carson's retirement. Pete Carroll had some observations about the quarterback competition on the first day and talked about the excitement he has around his two rookie corners. Noah Fant says Seahawks fans are going to take note of Drew Lock's arm talent once we get a chance to see him play this preseason. Support the show Get in the Flock! The New Orleans Saints may be in for some offseason moves at running back depending on what happens with star Alvin Kamara. New Orleans Saints should consider trading for Seattle Seahawks RB Chris Carson as a post-June 1 transaction. The Seahawks drafted a new running back in Kenneth Walker III and brought back Rashaad Penny, if the Saints feel they need another option sin the RB room aside from Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram, Carter could be an interesting option to check in on.Ingram could be a Post-June 1 cut, but it wouldn't make sense with the culture. However, other veterans like Nick Vannett, Bradley Roby, and Zack Baun could be trade pieces that would return some late-round pick value and save a little bit against the cap.The Atlanta Falcons may be forced to ship off Deion Jones as their relationship looks to be souring. Whether traded or cut, yes, the Saints should make the call. But all-in-all the long shot of landing him isn't the only what New Orleans gets a win if Jones leaves the NFC South.Find and follow Locked On Saints on your favorite podcast platforms:

The NFL depth charts are pretty set! The rookies have landing spots! We now have a decent idea how the fantasy landscape will look come July! So it's time to put a stake in the ground and make some rankings. On today's podcast we'll tackle the scarcest position: running back. Beyond the first several names, there simply aren't a lot of sure things, and we'll talk about why. We'll also talk some about tight end ranks and why our first inclination is to once again *not* pay to get one of the highly rated ones. Fantasy draft strategy formulations begin now! Patrick Daugherty (@RotoPat) and Denny Carter (@CDCarter13) preview Thursday's draft by discussing their most recent quarterback thoughts and highlighting their favorite receiver prospects. They also debate if there are any running back prospects who are not context dependent in a supposedly thin group. They then take a spin through some of the week's news, including the Kadarius Toney and Darren Waller trade chatter. Finally, they highlight Denny's recent article examining whether running back targets are a quarterback stat, with a focus on Las Vegas' Derek Carr and Indy's Matt Ryan.(5:54) Jaguars Conundrum at Pick #1(9:33) Malik Willis and the QB carousel(26:00) Favorite receiver prospects(35:32) Running back prospects(39:47) Kadarious Toney, Chris Carson, and Darren Waller news(48:29) Listener questions and a breakdown of Denny's article
Our weekly chat with Joe Fann covers Joe's "Ners" and why patience is tough for M's fans when it comes to results. Maura took us through another 'blind' Draft Dating game of Edge rushers available in the NFL draft. Given the uncertainty surrounding Chris Carson's neck and the injury history of Carson and Penny, the Seahawks need to add another back.
