In many ways movement isn't just about how people moved, but the why behind it all....On this very special episode we are deeping diving behind the scenes with those artisans who work behind the scenes on some of our favourite movies and TV shows.Today we talk with Emmy nominated Choreographer Jennifer Hamilton about her work on the hit show 'Physical; which drops us into the aerobics boom of the 1980'sWhen dealing with such a unique moment in time, being specific is an unequivocal gift and that was key in the work from choreographer Jennifer Hamilton who really needed to match the tone of the 80's which had some over the top camp but some quiet terror all at the same.We talked with Jennifer about how she got the job, the magic of movement and so very much more....

This in-depth discussion between Samantha Pinson Wrisley and Jennifer Hamilton provides an unexpected but perfect coda to volume one. Wrisley's research on misogyny focuses on the "feeling" of hating women, and on articulating how those feelings shape relationships and social worlds. In Wrisley's work, the consequences of widespread heteropessimism are examined for their connections to misogyny, which are less banal and more pernicious. They look at how this same (or adjacent) feeling tangles with misogyny and forms part of the rise of transphobia, incels and the manosphere.

COVID-19 vaccines from Pfizer have been available for kids 5-11 for a few months now, but a couple of recent studies about the vaccines' effectiveness has sounded some alarms. We asked Dr. Jennifer Hamilton, Professor of Family, Community and Preventative Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine to come on the podcast and dig into the studies, talk about what was found, and get proper context for those findings. We also asked some other questions about kids and vaccines, like -- will we see boosters for young kids? If so, when should we expect them? Will all the vaccines be available for the youngest kids, or just one or two of them? And with these studies in mind, what do doctors and public health officials want parents to know about the vaccines and kids? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
COVID-19 vaccines remain a constant focus as the pandemic rages on. For as much as we talk about boosters, one portion of the population hasn't even been cleared yet to get their first shots. What is the status of a vaccine for kids under the age of five years old? Why is it taking so long? How can parents of young children navigate the Omicron surge? Dr. Jennifer Hamilton, Professor of Family, Community and Preventative Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine, offers detailed information about the timeline for a vaccine, and symptoms the Omicron variant causes in kids. This is one of the most INSPIRING and DETAILED episodes of all time. Imagine coming home suffering from severe depression, anxiety And PTSD after your deployment in Iraq. To the point where you can't even leave your house. And turning that into a social media empire, massive worldwide business and iconic status as an influencer couple?! That's what Ryan and Jennifer Hamilton have done! Wanna know how they did it and the details? They tell you in this interview! SOCIAL MEDIA HAS CHANGED EVERYTHING. And one of the greatest social media influencer success stories I've ever come across is this couple. They have more than 10 million followers on TikTok in one year, 6 million followers on Instagram at their @hammy_tv page and rack up hundreds of millions of views on all platforms . The numbers are compelling, but their back story is even more so. At 19, Ryan joined the military deployed to Iraq, came back with crippling anxiety and PTSD which he suffered through for years. Always a joker, he turned to making videos, met Jen, and that's when things started to really “click.” You'll learn why they're having such great SUCCESS and what you can do to tap into some of those things. Here are a few hints…be relatable, stay in your niche, and offer up value. However, things really exploded when Ryan and Jen began to create content together! (their humor is definitely for adults btw, nothing too over the top… But certainly for adults) Ryan and Jen share other deep INSIGHTS on how to create COMPELLING content, the psychology of viewers, and why you need to pay attention to the technical aspects of each post, too. If you've ever wanted to truly grow your social media, it's a FASCINATING discussion by two people who are doing it better than everyone else. I've had the pleasure of getting to know Ryan a little bit over the last couple years as a bit of a mentor to him, and I can tell you that he's a special person and Jennifer is even better! Although their content is for adults, their message in the show is for everyone!

In the most lengthy Crafty Beer Girls Podcasts to date, your hosts, Jenni Shafer and Lauren Lerch, kick things off with an interview involving Jennifer Hamilton. Jennifer (along with her husband Jeff) own and operate Utah's only dedicated hard cider production facility and taphouse, Mountain West Hard Cider. Incidentally, their corporate office conference room, has been a makeshift recording studio for several episodes of the Crafty Beer Girls Podcast. During their interview, they dive into a very interesting and insightful conversation regarding the recent changes in Utah beer laws that happened on November 1st. Utah's law on alcohol content has been raised from 4.0% alcohol by volume to 5.0% alcohol by volume. This momentous change has either been loved and embraced OR downright despised by many in the Utah craft beer industry and the Utah craft beer community. The girls also sample a host of beers. Including several from the Utah craft beer breweries that took home medals from this year's Great American Beer Festival. Five local breweries took home six medals this year. The most awards won by Utah craft beer breweries since 2014. Those breweries were Shades Brewing (Gold), TF Brewing (Silver), Red Rock Brewing (Silver and Bronze) Squatters Craft Beers (Silver) and Lever Crossing Brewing (Bronze). The girls even try a delicious American Wild Ale (snagged by Jenni Shafer during a bike trip she took in New Mexico) from 2019 Great American Beer Festival winner (for Small Brewpub and Small Brewpub Brewer of the Year), Rowley Farmhouse Ales. The beer, entitled "Songs Of Our Own", was a collaboration beer. Here is a detailed description borrowed from Untappd: "We've been passionate about brewing spontaneously fermented ales for many years, as this is a process that has not only historical significance, but also carries a degree of romance that cannot be matched via traditional industrial brewing techniques. Songs of Our Own is our first commercial foray into spontaneous fermentation, and was completed with the help of the kind folks at 12 West Brewing Company in Mesa, Arizona. We were fortunate enough to have them come up to Santa Fe with their mobile coolship in early 2018. It is the first commercially produced coolship inoculated beer brewed in the state of New Mexico. We aren't calling this a Méthode Traditionnelle beer by any stretch, but simply a start to what we hope to be an annual tradition of local spontaneous fermentations for us. After 16 months of aging in wine barrels, this beer underwent additional refermentation in the barrel with tangerines, and was finished in 750 mL bottles with local wildflower honey. We are happy to release this as our 3rd anniversary beer, and hope you enjoy it as much as we have waiting for it to come around."
