With Special Guest Kirsten Beyer! Kirsten Beyer’s journey as the caretaker of the Star Trek: Voyager novel series began over a decade ago with the publication of Full Circle, and novel readers were introduced to Voyager’s ambitious return to the Delta Quadrant. In the years since, we have shared the highs and lows of the voyages of the Full Circle fleet as they explore the former domain of the Borg Collective. With the publication of the tenth and final novel (for now) of the adventures of Voyager under Kirsten’s guiding hand, we find the crews of the fleet ships setting out on a new and unexpected adventure. In this episode of the Positively Trek Book Club, hosts Dan Gunther and Bruce Gibson are honored to be joined by Kirsten Beyer, Star Trek author and television writer to discuss her final Voyager opus, To Lose the Earth. We talk about the long road to the novel’s publication, the mystery of the U.S.S. Galen, Nancy Conlon’s journey, Aytar Gwyn’s dilemma, the role the Krenim and The Department of Temporal Investigations play in the story, the future mission of Voyager, the future of Star Trek novels, and what Kirsten is up to in the world of Trek on television. This week on Episode 466 of Priority One --- We ‘Trek Out’ Star Trek’s Emmy campaigning, more “Lower DeckS” news, and non-Simon Pegg movie news - sort of. In Star Trek gaming, Timelines releases it’s newest event, and fleet command takes to the air waves! Of course, as always, before we wrap up the show, we’ll open hailing frequencies for your incoming messages Let us know on social media like Facebook, Twitter, or by visiting our website! This Weeks Community Question Is: CQ: If Star Trek’s Next Silver Screen Offering DOESN’T Feature The Kelvin-Crew, What Do You Want it to be About? TREK IT OUT by Jake Morgan Sir Patrick Talks with Deadline It’s campaign season again, but not Red Hats VS. Blue Waves or any other such nonsense. We’re talking about important stuff - campaigning for Entertainment industry awards. Okay, so campaigning for a trophy may NOT be as important as deciding who makes the policies that govern our lives, but it’s what we cover! On Saturday June 20th, “Star Trek: Picard” Executive Producer and Star - Sir Patrick Stewart - sat down with Deadline’s Dominic Patten to discuss the series; and make a pitch for an Emmy on “Contender’s TV”. Stewart, as has become custom, led with the tale of his initial rejection of a Picard revival. He did, however, refer to a project we often discuss on this program - Logan. I compared it to the last movie that Hugh Jackman and I did in the X-men franchise - Logan - which could not have been more different from every single moment in the films that have gone before. And I said,’if you can do something like that - not the same thing - you know -I don’t want to be driving around chanting nursery rhymes in a [EXPLETIVE] old wheel chair. But if you can find that transformation of the man and his spirit, then I’m up for it. Stewart also talked about his excitement in reuniting with his former Next Gen co-stars before giving away a possible hint about season 2 It was a very desirable and a very emotional experience, to be reunited with Jonathan, with Marina Sirtis. And with Brent who, although he doesn’t appear that often, he has a very significant role in season one, and maybe he might again in season two. But I can say no more than that. Sorry to be so coy. Hanelle Culpepper Talks with Variety Patrick Stewart wasn’t alone on the campaign trail. This week, Star Trek director and trailblazer - Hannelle Culpepper - talked with Variety about directing Picard’s first three episodes. Culpepper discussed her visual approach to the series, saying I wanted it to feel inspired by where Picard was on his emotional journey. He was living in a vineyard; he felt trapped. So I wanted to have a little bit more of a static frame, and then go handheld once his world is rocked [in the pilot]. We switch to handheld cameras pretty much as much as possible after that. It’s “Star Trek,” we have to get those big, cinematic shots with drones and cranes and stuff, but we always wanted to not forget that it’s really a character- driven series with Picard at the heart.. In regards to directing Sir Patrick Stewart, and the cohesion of the writers and actors, Culpepper said Because he was so involved with the writers, a lot of the things that he felt about his character were already incorporated into the script. So for me, it was just about creating the safe space where he could do the things he wanted to do. He was still collaborative with me. But ultimately, it was nice to be in a situation where the actor and the writers are all on the same page for who this character is. “Lower Decks” Images, a Tease of Cameos It seems the “Lower Decks” hype train is leaving the station, which means the show can’t be far behind. This week, Entertainment Weekly discussed the animated Star Trek series with creator and showrunner Mike McMahon. McMahon once again separated “Lower Decks” from his other hit cartoon comedy, “Rick and Morty”, telling EW ”The fun of Rick and Morty is that it breaks down sci-fi tropes and is told through Rick Sanchez, who has a very specific, chaotic, nihilistic lens,” he says. “Lower Decks treats mythological sci-fi things just as important as a regular Trek show, while finding new stories to tell — just from a different angle. It's not disassembling mythological sci-fi things. It's treating them as important for everybody on the starship as it would be in a regular star Trek show.” McMahon confirmed the series takes place during “The Next Generation”’s time period before teasing possible cameos, saying ”Next Gen is my favorite era. And as a huge Trek fan, I would definitely want to try to use some of them so that I could not only build out the world, but also work with some of my heroes. But I can't get more specific than that. You'll have to wait and see.” Along with the story are a couple of new stills, one featuring a dirty and torn crew with TNG Type II Phasers pulled, and another with the Lower Decks gang enjoying - what looks to be - margaritas! Zachary Quinto Done With Spock? Now, let’s talk Star Trek movies for a second. Before you ask, this is NOT another interview with Simon Pegg, but don’t worry, he’s involved peripherally. This week, Kelvin-Spock actor Zachary Quinto was promoting the second season of his AMC series - NOS4A2 - with comicbook.com. The conversation turned to Star Trek, and Quinto was asked for his thoughts on - wait for it - SIMON PEGG’s comments about Star Trek being more suited for Television. Quinto responded ”It's already thriving in the television format with Discovery and Picard and the spinoffs," Quinto said. "I can't even keep track of how many new Star Trek stories are being told since our last film in 2016. All I know is that we, all of us, had an incredible experience making those films. If there is an appetite for more of those stories with us in them, I'm sure that we would all be thrilled to come back and do one more or whatever, but I'm not really attached to it anymore.” Quinto elaborated on his comment, saying ”I stepped away from any expectation or any real certainty that it's ever going to happen again. I think that's the only real way to move through the world, right? If it happens, that'd be great, but I'm not going to sit around waiting for it to happen.[...] I have lifelong friendships from those films and working relationships and a lot of respect and fond memories, so if that's what it ends up being and I can look back on my life and say that's what it was, then that's incredible, and if we get to do more, that's also incredible.” Does this mean that the Noah Hawley project won’t feature the Kelvin-timeline crew? No, not definitively. But it certainly doesn’t instill confidence that it will, either! Star Trek Gaming News by Shane Hoover and Thomas Reynolds Star Trek Timelines Event: “Against the House” June continues to be a big month for Star Trek Timelines players, as the “Before & After”-inspired Mega-Event’s third installment runs from June 25th to June 29th. It's “Star Trek,” we have to get those big, cinematic shots with drones and cranes and stuff, but we always wanted to not forget that it's really a character- driven series with Picard at the heart.. “Lower Decks” Images, a Tease of Cameos It seems the “Lower Decks” hype train is leaving the station, which means the show can't be far behind. It's treating them as important for everybody on the starship as it would be in a regular star Trek show.” McMahon confirmed the series takes place during “The Next Generation”'s time period before teasing possible cameos, saying ”Next Gen is my favorite era. Now, let's talk Star Trek movies for a second. Before you ask, this is NOT another interview with Simon Pegg, but don't worry, he's involved peripherally. This week, Kelvin-Spock actor Zachary Quinto was promoting the second season of his AMC series - NOS4A2 - with comicbook.com. The conversation turned to Star Trek, and Quinto was asked for his thoughts on - wait for it - SIMON PEGG's comments about Star Trek being more suited for Television. If it happens, that'd be great, but I'm not going to sit around waiting for it to happen.[...] I have lifelong friendships from those films and working relationships and a lot of respect and fond memories, so if that's what it ends up being and I can look back on my life and say that's what it was, then that's incredible, and if we get to do more, that's also incredible.” Does this mean that the Noah Hawley project won't feature the Kelvin-timeline crew? No, not definitively. But it certainly doesn't instill confidence that it will, either! We took the most intense two-parter in Voyager lore and turned it into an excuse to get properly sloshed— and you can drink along! When you hear the bell, take a slug of your preferred non-synthesized grown-up libation. By the end of the show, you, like the Krenim, can have a very questionable relationship with reality! Not a drinker? No problem! Just kick back and enjoy a super-sized dose of our usual nonsense. Is “Year of Hell” GOOD or is it GARBAGE? By the end of this episode, you might be too lit to care!

TREK IT OUT by Shane Hoover Star Trek Command Training Program It is hard to deny, at this point, that Star Trek programming has entered into a new Renaissance. With so many new shows currently in production, most every Trek fan can find something to be excited about. But, if you’re an undergraduate or graduate student, this week’s news from CBS may be the most exciting yet. CBS Television Studios and the Television Academy Foundation have announced the “Star Trek Command Training Program”. The new program will provide internship placements on a Star Trek series for two lucky students per semester, starting in 2020. If you’ve ever dreamed of sitting in the writers’ room, building bridge sets, or maybe being part of the Lower Decks animation team, then this could be your ticket into the crew. Speaking about the program, Star Trek EP Alex Kurtzman said, “The Star Trek universe is an ideal place to celebrate new voices and perspectives. We want to provide the framework to begin entertainment careers in a meaningful way and can’t wait to get started.” The application process will be handled by The Academy Foundation, while CBS Television will handle mentorship assignments and curriculum. Interested students should visit TelevisionAcademy.com/internships to apply. Applications are open through January 21, 2020 for eligible college students 18 and over. Colm Meaney Honored Veteran Star Trek actor Colm Meaney was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award this past week at the annual Irish Post Awards. The Awards honor the accomplishments of Irish individuals in fields like business, entertainment, and sports. We, of course, are familiar with Meaney for his 225 Star Trek appearances. His career as Starfleet engineer Miles O’Brien is second only to Michael Dorn’s Worf for Trek appearances. The versatile actor has also appeared in an impressive body of other TV and film projects, with IMDB listing 127 acting credits to his name. When interviewed after the Awards, Mr. Meaney himself mused, “I enjoyed Star Trek. I did it for seven years. Seven years in a space suit was enough, but it was very enjoyable. Star Trek fans still speak to me in the street. Sometimes it’s like I’m two different actors with two different careers - the Star Trek career and the other career” Speaking of the award itself, the actor said, ”I feel very honoured. It was a bit of a surprise but a very welcome one.” Official Star Trek Timeline The official Star Trek website also published an interesting new video this week. The video is titled “A Timeline Through the Star Trek Universe, Part 1”. Throughout the 2 minute, 5 second video, we’re reminded of touchstone events in the Star Trek timeline. Beginning with the events of Voyager’s “Death Wish” at 13.8 billion years ago, the chart carries right through the busy 23rd and 24th centuries, up to the destruction of Romulus in 2387. Each iteration of Star Trek on the big or small screen is represented, with special mention given to certain high profile events like the founding of the Federation, the Enterprise’s 5 year mission, or the Dominion War. Perhaps most intriguingly, the video ends with the promise of “To Be Continued…” Star Trek 4 Speaking of adding to the canon timeline… Star Trek Kelvin 4 is gaining momentum --- FOR REAL THIS TIME. In an exclusive report by Deadline, Noah Hawley has been announced as its writer AND director. For those of you unfamiliar with the name, Hawley developed the X-Men Universe spinoff “Legion” and is the brains behind FX’s Emmy-winning limited series Fargo…. Now, not much is else is known with respect to story or production timetables but, at least we know the production is -- officially -- in the works. But, what about all this Tarantino talk that we just can’t avoid??... Well according to Deadline’s Mike Fleming Jr //quote// The studio separately is working on a Star Trek spinoff that Quentin Tarantino is eyeing to direct and has been working on with Abrams. This one would likely carry an R rating, with a screenplay by The Revenant scribe Mark L. Smith.//end quote// Star Trek Online and Gaming News by Anthony Cox Dr. Robert Hurt visit the Star Trek Discovery VR Experience A Closer Look at the Earhart and Sech Strike Wing Escorts This weekend a few of us in the Armada had a chance to try out the new Strike Wing Escorts and must say, I really enjoy them. Since I prefer to fly escorts, I rarely fly ships that have hangar pets - but I like the combination of a fast ship with some extra friends around to help out. Also, the console, Universal Gravimetric Disruptions - is an excellent addition to any control builds out there. It provides a slight boost to Energy Damage and Control Expertise - but also - it affects multiple enemies. So if you like grouping up your enemies and making them explode - highly recommended! Welcome to Mudd’s Market If you’ve been playing Star Trek Online for a long time then you’re lucky enough to have had the opportunity to acquire a plethora of limited-time rewards. A new tab has appeared in the Event UI for the Winter Wonderland event. Including an image and details for the new Tier 6 Fek’Ihri Dreadnaught carrier. Featuring a Lt. Commander Science/Miracle Worker bridge officer station and coming with a whopping 5 tactical console slots, this fearsome sail barge comes with the universal console, Open the Maw of Gethor. This carrier comes with two hangar slots from which you can launch more Lost Souls of Grethor, each one using Claw Swipes and Flame Breath to damage enemies. After achieving level 5 ship mastery you will unlock “Fiery Entrance. When activating Narrow Sensor Bands or launching Hangar pets, your ship will, of course, emit a burning ring of fire dealing damage to nearby foes with a chance to confuse them. At the time of this recording, there has been no official blog post detailing the ship, however, as of right now you can log into the game and view the stats and details under the Winter Event tab. If you’re interested in joining The Klingon High Council fleet, you can submit an application to join on the armada website. WEEKLY TOP TIP Running patrols seems to be a fast and fun way to level up your event progress. It can be even faster when you’re running the “Blockade” patrol. After you set up the beacon you’ll need to defend three groups of Krenim ships from Vadwaur and Voth. Well, as the contact says, if you only destroy the Vaadwaur the Voth might leave. And that’s exactly what happens. By focusing on taking out just the Vaadwaur ships you can cut your targets for the mission almost in half. As soon as the last Vaadwaur ship is destroyed in each group the Voth ships disappear. Just imagine how much time you’ll save over the course this feature event. And if you want to run these patrols at a high difficulty level, this can make your runs a little smoother. Other Gaming News Star Trek Fleet Command Mirror, Mirror Event Star Trek Fleet Command is bringing the Mirror Universe into the Kelvin Timeline. The “Mirror, Mirror” event last from now until November 29th and features Terran Empire versions of Kirk, Spock, and Uhura that are obtainable by participating solo and alliance missions. Also included in this event is the opportunity to acquire blueprints to build your very own ISS Jellyfish ship. When playing through the Mirror, Mirror missions you’ll also have the option to experience alternate endings. The choice is yours. Trek out the show notes for more details on the event. Retro Gaming Star Trek The Next Generation for Game Boy Earth date September 1993. Star Trek The Next Generation is heading into its seventh and final season. Star Trek Deep Space Nine premiered earlier in the year and now starts its second season. Star Trek’s golden age was at its height on the small screen. Then there’s the smallest screen. The Nintendo Game Boy. The OG black and yellow 160 pixel by 144 pixel 8-bit gaming brick of happiness. Star Trek TNG for both Game Boy and the NES also released during September of 1993. And boy or boy did this game have one little trekkie beaming with joy. Players take on the role of a Starfleet cadet being instructed by Jean-Luc Picard as they take command of the Enterprise-D and embark on a series of training missions. Everything from transporting an ambassador to rescuing a crew to engaging in combat with the Borg. As the acting captain you give commands through interacting with each bridge crew member by selecting their combadge. To complete shipboard tasks like establishing a standard orbit or diverting power to the shields, you play various mini-games. As you complete missions you rank up and will unlock passwords that can be used to pick up your progress where you left off. I played this exclusively on the Game Boy, but I’ve heard that the NES version is a little easier to play. The graphics are not the best for the time, and the gameplay can feel clunky and not very intuitive. But at a time when the only other mobile Star Trek video games had you flying the Enterprise through an asteroid field, this was the first game that you felt like you were in the Captain’s chair. So how can you play this game today? Well, you could of course download an emulator on your computer or phone. I actually have something called a Smartboy from Hyperkin. It’s basically the lower half of a Game Boy with the the control buttons that you slide your USB-C phone into. You run an emulator on your phone, but you can actually plug a real cartridge into the back and play the game from the physical Game Boy cartridge on your phone screen. I love this because it feel like a Game Boy in my hands, but with a bright colorful screen. But the best option in my opinion is to purchase a Game Boy Advance SP. These are the first clamshell looking Nintendo handheld consoles, and the first with a backlit LCD screen. It plays both Game Boy Advance games

Do you plan on going to the VR experience in the future? TREK IT OUT by Shane Hoover Discovery Season 2 Deleted Tilly Scene The second season of Star Trek Discovery released this week on Blu-Ray and DVD. In a teaser last week on the IO9 website, CBS released an exclusive deleted scene featuring Tilly and her Mycelial parasitic pal, May Ahearn. The scene opens on Tilly trying to ignore the mysterious May by reading a PADD. May peeks around the edge and grins. Tilly, exasperated, tries to flee to the bathroom of her quarters, only for May to suddenly appear in that room. Clearly on the edge, Tilly declares that she can't be in the Starfleet Command Training Program if she's mentally unsound, to which May quips "Well that hardly seems fair!". May argues that Tilly's mind works in “Fascinating ways. I'm inside it, feeling the throb of your neurons, the rush of hot oxygenated blood coursing between hemispheres.” To which a confused Tilly responds, "Are you coming on to me?" May convinces Tilly to help her in her quest to observe and speak to the Captain. She promises that she can help Tilly reach her ultimate potential and change the universe for the better. Once she's gotten her message to the Captain through Tilly, May swears she'll be gone. And the scene ends. The Season Two Blu-Ray release boasts over four hours of special features, including behind-the-scenes featurettes, cast and crew insights, and two of the show's Short Treks - "Runaway" and "The Brightest Star". If this deleted scene is any indication, some great material from Season Two wound up on the cutting room floor! Captain Pike Short Trek Teaser StarTrek.com dropped a sneak peek at the upcoming Captain Pike centered Short Trek, "Ask Not" this week. As Pike narrates that the Enterprise has picked up a distress call from the U.S.S. Bowman, we see a young Starfleet officer in red working frantically at a console. Suddenly, the two wall displays behind her explode in a shower of fire, smoke, and glass. The scene fades to black and announces that the Short Trek would release on November 14th. Next, we see Pike himself declaring to someone offscreen, "I need you to let me out of here." We see an officer in gold, presumably Pike, being led by two guards through a bulkhead door in restraints and a black hood. Next, we see a dark-haired young woman declare that he's a prisoner whose orders carry no weight. An angry Pike barks "Cadet! I am giving you a direct order to release me!" The cadet refuses, and Pike warns that she will never see the inside of a starship again. Ominous music swells as the scene cuts to the Short Treks logo and the date November 14. There are plenty of sudden cuts and one-sided conversations in this teaser. So it's possible, even likely, that the relationship between the captive Pike and this cadet will not play out entirely as it seems. What's certain, though, is that Anson Mount's Pike will find himself in chains and in peril aboard another Starfleet vessel. Is he the victim of a trap? Was there a mutiny or piracy aboard the U.S.S. Bowman? What are Number One, Spock, and the Enterprise doing to rescue their Captain? If you haven't already, check out the Short Trek now on CBS All Access. Star Trek: The Animated Series Leaving Netflix Streaming giant Netflix announced this week that all seasons of Star Trek: The Animated Series will be removed from the service on December 1, 2019. This announcement applies only to Netflix viewers in the United States, for now. The show, which aired for 22 episodes over two seasons, has been carried by Netflix since 2016. Though there has been no announcement, it seems likely that the show will be moving to CBS All Access after it leaves Netflix. While not widely considered essential Star Trek viewing, the Animated Series carried on the tales of the U.S.S. Enterprise where TOS left off. Almost the entire original cast returned to voice their characters for the show. If you're a Trek completist who hasn't yet seen it, or if you just enjoy the wilder side of Trek explored by these animated stories, you can still catch it on Netflix for now. Anthony Rapp's Engagement Star Trek Discovery actor Anthony Rapp took to Twitter this week to make a big personal announcement. He tweeted “So something happened tonight. I asked Ken if he would marry me and he said yes. I am so very happy, and I'm so very thrilled to share this news” The tweet was accompanied by a smiling picture of the happy couple. Voices of actors and fans from around the Star Trek world chimed in to share their best wishes. Everyone here at Priority One Podcast would also like to send our very best wishes and congratulations to Anthony and Ken! Captain Spock Statue Are you a die-hard collector of Star Trek merchandise? Then you might be interested in a brand new exclusive Captain Spock statue announced for pre-order by Sideshow and Darkside Collectibles Studio. According to the announcement it is “Recreated from original CBS Studio Inc. archived materials and through a thorough examination of the original filming costumes the statue features a breathtaking likeness of actor Leonard Nimoy as Captain Spock of the U.S.S. ENTERPRISE as he appears in the Paramount Pictures STAR TREK II The Wrath of Khan film directed by Nicholas Meyer in 1982. Leonard Nimoy, posed in the official Starfleet salutation, measures over 25 inches and is presented in an authentically sculpted detailed captain’s costume. The statue captures the noble feeling and character of Spock and is accompanied with the United Federation of Planets flag.” The statue is truly amazingly detailed, capturing one of Nimoy's greatest performances as Spock in one of the most beloved Star Trek films. Two versions are available, one with Spock's hands behind his back, and another depicting Spock in the act of the famous Vulcan salute. The statue's $1299 price tag might deter all but the most determined collectors, though. I am giving you a direct order to release me!" Tread Perilously's Star Trek month continues with an attempt to tread safely with the consensus best episode of Star Trek: Voyager, "Year of Hell." When the Voyager wanders into an area of space contested by the Zahl and the Krenim, a Krenim commander (Kurtwood Smith) uses his ship's ability to alter the timeline; making the Krenim much stronger in a flash. So much so, a suddenly outclassed Voyager finds itself fleeing from Krenim war vessels. Soon, a week of Hell turns to months and Captain Janeway must make a fateful choice for her crew and command staff. Eventually Tom Paris and Chakotay find themselves guests of the Krenim commander as the situation aboard Voyager gets worse. Will they be able to alter time and undo the Year of Hell? Erik and Justin try to find good things to say about "Year of Hell," and end up complimenting Star Trek: Generations and the TNG episode "Yesterday's Enterprise." Erik also finally admits that The Dark Knight is not a fun movie. His hatred of Tom Paris -- but not actor Robert Duncan McNeill -- comes up once again. Justin calls out Janeway and Chakotay for leaving the bridge in the middle of a fight. Both wonder why the Vulcan isn't in charge. Justin suggests Bajorans would make pilgrimages to New Orleans and examines the notion of leisure in the 24th Century. Also, both dissect why "Yesterday's Enterprise" gets away with erasing itself while "Year of Hell" does not.
"Year of Hell" Commentary. The two-part episode "Year of Hell" is taken by many to be one of the highlights of season four of Star Trek: Voyager, if not of the entire Voyager series. From memorable moments with a certain replicated pocket watch to Annorax's Captain Ahab-like quest against time itself, "Year of Hell" shows the strength of the Voyager crew as a family, even in Voyager's darkest hours (the Voyager reset button aside). Vox Sola. Star Trek has presented us with more aliens that we can count. But most of these have been humanoid. Even the exceptions—Tholians, Excalbians, even Species 8472—are still easy for us to imagine being real… somewhere out there. In the first-season Enterprise episode “Vox Sola,” the writers and creative team attempted to give us, as Brannon Braga put it, “a wildly alien alien.” The title of this episode is Latin for “lone voice,” and is one of just seven episodes with Latin names—and possibly the best. In this episode of The Ready Room we're joined by Phillip Gilfus, Tommy Kraft, and Suzanne Abbott to discuss just how unique this story is within Star Trek, how difficult it is to present truly alien life, the production challenges of turning plastic wrap into a villain, as well as the technology sneak peeks and ethically building blocks of this early mission of the NX-01. In our news segment we reflect on the 20th anniversary of the TNG finale, "All Good Things…", some unique ships coming to The Official Starships Collection—including the 22nd-century Romulan Bird-of-Prey and the Krenim timeship from Voyager's "Year of Hell," and the big plans that are afoot over at Star Trek: Phase II.
Year of Hell. When Voyager wandered into Krenim space, the events foreshadowed in "Before and After" came to pass with devastating consequences for Janeway and her crew. It's a plotline that should have lasted an entire season, but it still presented some interesting challenges and provided one of the more meaningful looks into the mind of Chakotay. In this episode of The Ready Room we're joined by Anthony Davis and Down In Front's Brian Finifter to discuss the two-parter, where it succeeds and where it fails, what we would have handled differently, and why those devastating consequences were ultimately meaningless thanks to the classic Voyager reset button. In our news segment we look at the first IDW Comic based on the Abramsverse, the IDW Star Trek-Legion of Super-Heroes crossover, the Star Trek VI sequel novel "Cast No Shadows," Star Trek.com's interview with Jeffrey Combs, Wil Wheaton and Jeri Ryan on Eureka, Netflix's expansion into Latin America and Canada, and the humorous TNG review podcast Dork Trek.
