Este fin de semana vuelve la competición a la Liga Endesa. Después del buen sabor de boca que dejó la Copa del Rey para el UCAM Murcia llegó el parón por las ventanas FIBA: Los hermanos Kurucs, Radovic, Jelinek, Sant-Roos y Falk se fueron con sus respectivas selecciones y el resto se quedaron preparando la recta final del curso. Ya no habrá parones hasta junio. En el horizonte, el equipo que dirige Sito luchará por disputar el play off por el título de liga (nunca antes en la historia del club se ha jugado en una misma temporada Copa y play off) y también quieren un billete para la Final Four de la Champions.Para luchar por esos objetivos, el UCAM Murcia se ha reforzado en este parón con Jonah Radebaugh, un base-escolta americano (con pasaporte montenegrino) que ya vimos la temporada pasada en el Valencia Basket y que este año estaba en el Galatasaray turco. Si no pasa nada extraño, Radebaugh debutará este sábado en la pista del Baxi Manresa, ahora mismo un rival directo por terminar entre los ocho primeros. Tas ir visu laiku augstākais sasniegums Pasaules kausa debitantiem. Latvija turnīra laikā demonstrēja pasaules elites līmeņa spēli abos laukuma galos, bet īpaši spoži uzmirdzēja Artūra Žagara zvaigzne. Viņš pēdējā mačā pret Lietuvu atdeva 17 rezultatīvas piespēles - nekad neviens cits spēlētājs Pasaules kausa vēsturē nebija spējis vienā spēlē atdot tik daudz piespēļu.    Latvijas Radio tiešraidē saruna ar jauno basketbolistu treneri Mārtiņu Fominu, kurš Daugavas Sporta nama sporta skolā strādājis ar trešdaļu no šīs izlases spēlētājiem (Artūrs Žagars, Artūrs Strautiņš, Kristers Zoriks, Artūrs Kurucs). Tāpat komentāru sniedza Izglītības un zinātnes ministrijas Sporta departamenta direktors Vladimirs Šteinbergs. Uz sarunu pienāca arī grupa "Citi zēni", kas pavisam nesen radījusi dziesmu par godu mūsu basketbola izlasei. 5. vieta Pasaules kausā basketbolā - lai cik neticami tas varētu šķist, vakar tā kļuva par absolūtu patiesību, jo pēdējā mačā Latvijas valstsvienība sakāva Lietuvu un noslēdza savu debiju Pasaules kausa finālturnīrā.   Spēlē pret Lietuvu daiļrunīga ir statistika - Latvija pieļāva tikai trīs kļūdas visa mača garumā un trāpīja 50% izdarīto trīspunktnieku. Artūrs Kurucs uzstādīja savu rekordu izlasē - seši realizēti tālmetieni un 20 punkti.    Artūrs Žagars kļuva par Pasaules kausa rekordistu - neviens cits spēlētājs šī turnīra vēsturē iepriekš nebija spējis vienā spēlē atdot 17 rezultatīvas piespēles.
