Volgens hem zouden de nieuwste machines van ASML naar China gaan, ondanks het exportverbod. Persbureau Bloomberg sprak met mensen uit de Amerikaanse regering. Die zeggen bewijs te hebben, zonder bewijs te overleggen. ASML ontkent en zegt dat ze helemaal geen nieuwste machines leveren. Hoe dan ook: het is wéér gedoe dat ASML op zijn bordje krijgt. Hoe moet het bedrijf hier nu weer mee omgaan? We kijken er deze aflevering na. Ook wat dit met je ASML-aandeel doet. Hebben we het ook over het nieuws Prosus. Alle ellende van de mens komt voort uit het onvermogen om stil te zitten. Maar in Nederland, door de rat race, de druk van de hypotheek en de torenhoge kosten zijn we noodgedwongen een soort van human doing geworden. Sommigen zeggen dat we genetisch geprogrammeerd zijn om te werken, te gehoorzamen, te produceren. Of dat nu de Anunnaki waren of gewoon het kapitalisme, het resultaat is hetzelfde: een opgefokt volkje dat vooral DOET en zelden nog in stilte ÍS. Niet zo lang geleden opende ik een blog met de zin: de meeste mensen krijgen nog liever een stroomschok dan dat ze 15 minuten met zichzelf in een stille kamer moeten zitten. Niet zelf verzonnen. Dat bleek uit onderzoek. Terwijl het goud ligt bij durven te lummelen. Waarom? Als je niets doet, activeert je brein een heel specifiek netwerk: het Default Mode Network (DMN). Dit is het netwerk dat aanspringt bij dagdromen, nadenken over jezelf en het verwerken van ervaringen. Onderzoek toont aan dat het DMN cruciaal is voor: Zelfreflectie. Wie ben ik, wat wil ik echt? Creatieve inzichten. De "aha-momenten" die komen als je níét focust. Toekomstprojectie. Je voorstellen hoe je leven eruit zou kunnen zien. Maar we leven in een wereld van constante prikkels, constante social media, constante to-do lijsten en constante stress. En daardoor onderdrukken we collectief, constant, het DMN. Resultaat: je brein komt nooit toe aan zijn diepste werk. Je ZIJN ook niet. Gevolg: mensen hebben op hun sterfbed spijt dat ze niet vaker hebben gedaan wat ze nou écht wilden. In the heat of the moment merk je dat niet zo, want drukte is een van de meest sociaal geaccepteerde vormen van het vermijden van ongemakkelijke emoties. Wie druk is, hoeft niet te voelen. Daarom zijn we zo bizar bang voor stilte. Daarom hebben we nooit tijd om zonder telefoon in de natuur te zijn. Wat onwijs zonde is. Ga roeien, zou ik zeggen.

Hoewel we het gebruiken om overgangsmomenten te vieren of te ontspannen, is er volgens Knuijver geen veilige hoeveelheid alcohol, aangezien het schade aanricht in het hele lichaam.  Voor wie worstelt met onrust is de natuur een krachtig tegengif. In onze moderne 'on-demand' wereld worden we constant blootgesteld aan prikkels die ons in de war brengen, terwijl wandelen in het landschap ons helpt om weer in verhouding te staan met de wereld om ons heen. Van de natuur hoef je immers niet te herstellen, in tegenstelling tot een avond in de kroeg. Knuijver benadrukt dat je geen dokter nodig hebt om te bepalen of je een probleem hebt; als alcohol een negatieve rol speelt in je leven, is dat al genoeg reden om in te grijpen. Hij daagt iedereen uit om eens een feestdag, zoals Koningsdag, volledig nuchter mee te maken. Door zelf te ervaren hoe je jezelf die dag voelt en hoe verfrissend het is om de volgende ochtend op te staan zonder fysiek ongemak, ontdek je een hele nieuwe wereld.

This story includes loss - in memory of Ernest Levert Jr.To be held is an embrace. To hold is to be responsible for something or someone. Several characteristics define a community, including shared identity, interaction, shared purpose, shared norms and values, and support systems. The premise of ubuntu, "I am because you are," involves recognizing our shared humanity, practicing empathy, and acting in ways that benefit others. Birth Stories in Color is a community. In this space, we hold each other. Most days, we can access our email or social media accounts and be greeted by someone who wants to be held. We paused… and you understood. Life happened. We witnessed the unfolding of one of our own. We let it breathe. Then we opened the door. We offered to hold. Then we held her. We offered to hold it or share it. She offered it to you…We met Ivory and Ernest together for the first time in 2021. They shared their miscarriage and the birth journey of their daughter, Zamya. Now in 2025, Ivory shared their story without her partner's physical presence, and we welcomed his spirit in.  A beautiful surprise of a second pregnancy between Ivory and Ernest was met with conflicting ideas about the timing and the physical and mental adjustments. A few weeks into the pregnancy, gratitude and excitement replaced Ivory's early misgivings. Parenting a toddler while pregnant proved to be more of a challenge than Ivory anticipated. She laid the groundwork for a healthy pregnancy and prepared for a homebirth this time. Midwifery care, additional care with an obstetrician, chiropractic care, and regular massages allowed her to feel at ease as they prepared for birth. Towards the end of the pregnancy at 34 weeks, Ernest experienced a severe headache that led them to take a trip to the emergency room. He was sent home without a diagnosis. About a week later, he experienced a catastrophic aneurysm rupture while visiting his favorite coffee shop. He was rushed to the hospital. The prognosis was difficult as the doctors could not offer answers, but they explored all of the options. In those early hours, Ivory started to see gestures of care and intention moving through her community. She was faced with holding life in her womb, raising life in her home, and the fragility of life holding on in the hospital. She held on as she was held. Labor came. She prepared her space with affirmations, photos of her and Ernest filled the space, a friend facetimed from Ernest's hospital room, and everyone on her birth team followed her lead. Baby Zenith was born peacefully at home.Postpartum came with some ease as she was nurtured at home. Ivory struggled more emotionally with balancing joy and sadness. The hospital supported their family by moving Ernest to an area that would allow the baby to come with Ivory during visits. Ivory shared her experience managing care for herself, her children, and her husband. Karis LeVert Over 12.5 Points – Over 6 of last 7 games since joining Hawks, high total (251.5) = More opportunities. Final Thoughts Nuggets are still contenders but depth is a concern. OKC must prove it in the playoffs. Lakers are a real threat. Grizzlies & Warriors are top bets for Monday. LeVert & Kyrie props offer value.
