In 1994 it was not uncommon to see experiencers featured on shows like The Oprah Winfrey Show or Geraldo Rivera. The public attention that the Roswell Crash, Whitley Strieber, Budd Hopkins, and John Mack received pushed the UFO into the mainstream like it had never been before. In Australia, a country who's UFO beliefs were very conservative, a story started to spread about a woman who had been involved in a multiple witness abduction. He name is Kelly Cahill. Kelly's story is one fraught with religious symbols, terrifying entities with glowing red eyes, and a less than stellar husband who mocks her endlessly for opening up about her experiences. I'm joined by Tom G. Wolf of Lupine Transmissions to unpack the story of Kelly Cahill. Special thanks to Amber Keller for compiling the research and writing the majority of it for this episode. It’s time for me to get uncomfortable! Throughout this series, I’ll be putting myself in situations that purposely make me uncomfortable. Today, I’m sharing an abbreviated version of my first in depth interview as a GUEST on someone else’s podcast. If speaking publicly wasn’t challenging enough, now I get the added anxiety of not knowing what will be asked next! Fortunately for me, the host is my friend and former neighbor Matt Neal. Matt is an accomplished stand up comedian, and his podcast PEACE OF CHAOS has nearly 50 episodes published to date. Over the summer, Jason Plato and Dave Vitty decided they fancied doing a live version of their award winning podcast ‘Fuelling Around', and set about finding a suitable venue. Wembley Arena was booked and the O2 was too expensive, but the lovely people at Motorsport UK, very kindly offered them the use of their headquarters in Bicester and suddenly it was game on! The Adrian Flux live events team were mobilised, the tickets sold out within hours, the boys quickly organised draught beer and a barbecue, and all they needed now were some special guests! Well, with it being only a couple of days before the BTCC weekend at Silverstone, it made sense to make it a touring car legends special, and they don't come much bigger than Tim Harvey and Matt Neal! As long as Dave could make sure that Matt didn't try and punch Jason again, it promised to be a decent night! This is what happened…
"A film that demonstrates that how you tell your story is just as important as what the story entails." Matt Neal of ABC Radio Australia taps into exactly what makes Rashomon truly great. Sure, many films have cribbed from this style, but none have reached the heights of Akira Kurosawa. But listen in to our discussion, because we talk not only about Rashomon and the Rashomon Effect; but also about the performances, and the outright cynicism of a beloved classic. This episode is about setting expectations for home buyers and their realtors when buying a home built in the early 1900's. I have inspected hundreds of early 1900's homes over the years, the reactions from buyers and their realtors can be a bit numbing at times when i am giving my overview of what conditions i found during the home inspection. I believe the reason for this is because the buyers only see the new paint, drywall, kitchen cabinets and new stainless appliances etc. No one is thinking hey whats holding up the house? The reality is the home may be a flip and the original systems may be still in place such as the foundation, wood framing, electrical, plumbing and heating. Determining the condition of these systems is the purpose of the general home inspection.Congratulations on your home! Buying a home is a great investment, just make sure you get as much information as you can about the home you want to buy before you commit. Get all the inspections the home requires and get the specialists that are recommended to get you price quotes before the end of your inspection contingency period and the close of escrow. Here are some of the different conditions i may find during a home inspection when inspecting an early 1900's homes.Spalling Concrete: https://www.robsonforensic.com/articles/concrete-spalling-expert-articleKnob & Tube Wiring: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knob-and-tube_wiringCast Iron Drain Pipe: https://inspectapedia.com/plumbing/Cast_Iron_Drain_Pipes.phpJohn LaformeCREIA Certified Inspector Member #0155263 https://www.homeinspectionauthority.com/home-mold-sewer/Visit Us Online for our home inspection services.http://www.homeinspectionauthority.comVisit Us On Youtube for home inspection videos and tips for home buyers, Home inspector training and home inspector tools.https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXzxEH5J8y5EW1lZ3LtDB0AVisit Piece of Chaos Hosted by Matt Neal https://podcasts.apple.com/ie/podcast/peace-of-chaos-a-podcast-by-matt-neal/id1494040772Visit Way Too Busy Hosted By Matt Nealhttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/way-too-busy/id1557524974

BARC - The British Automobile Racing Club Audio News and Interviews
The Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship is primed and ready for another memorable year after officially launching its 2021 season at Silverstone today (April 22), announcing a capacity 29-car entry list. After an unprecedented yet entertaining 2020 campaign, which ended with Ashley Sutton clinching the Drivers' crown for a second time, Britain's premier motorsport series is set to return with a bumper grid and to its traditional ten round, 30-race format.Kicking the season off behind closed doors at Thruxton next month, the series will then head to Snetterton, Brands Hatch, Oulton Park and Knockhill before making a second visit to Thruxton. Visits to Croft, Silverstone and Donington Park will follow before the traditional finale at back at Brands Hatch in late October.Donning the mantel of defending champion and running the famed number one on his Infiniti Q50, Sutton sticks with Laser Tools Racing for the new season as he bids to retain his titles in both the overall championship and Independents'. Aiden Moffat and Carl Boardley will partner Sutton at the rear-wheel-drive squad.West Surrey Racing and Team BMW proved to be the closest challengers to Sutton last year and the reigning Teams' & Manufacturer champions have swelled to three cars once again with Colin Turkington, Tom Oliphant and Stephen Jelley tasked with piloting the 330i M Sport to glory. It is an all-new line-up at Halfords Racing with Cataclean however with Dan Cammish returning to the Porsche Carrera Cup GB and Matt Neal taking a step back from driving duties. Whilst one three-time champion steps back, another returns in the shape of Gordon Shedden as the Scotsman rejoins Team Dynamics to partner Daniel Rowbottom.Another driver to make a popular return to this grid after a year on the sidelines is Jason Plato. Electing to sit out 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the double champion is back at Power Maxed Car Care Racing in the Vauxhall Astra and gunning to tally his 100th victory in the series. Daniel Lloyd, a race-winner in the BTCC, gets a full-time drive to partner Plato.Toyota Gazoo Racing UK steps up its BTCC programme this year as it expands to two cars. Rory Butcher fills the void left by Tom Ingram in the Speedworks Motorsport-run Corolla and he is joined by Sam Smelt, who last competed in the series in 2018.Ingram's departure from Toyota sparked a frenzy during the off-season and the former Independents' champion has found a new home at Excelr8 Trade Price Cars. Armed with the Hyundai i30N, Ingram has his tail in the air and is hungry for success. He's joined at the four-strong squad by Chris Smiley, Jack Butel and former British GT champion Rick Parfitt Jnr.Elsewhere, Ciceley Motorsport have acquired the services of Tom Chilton to partner Adam Morgan and they have parted ways with the Mercedes Benz A-Class. In its place are a pair of West Surrey Racing-built BMW 330i M Sport's and hopes are high for the Car Gods-backed outfit.BTC Racing are another to have high hopes for the season ahead and with good reason as Josh Cook has remained with the team to drive their Honda Civic Type R. Michael Crees, Jack sears Trophy champion last year, has also inked a new deal to stay whilst Jade Edwards will get a full-season after debuting at Silverstone in 2020.Motorbase Performance and MB Motorsport accelerated by Blue Square are another two teams to have joined forces over the winter to field a quartet of Ford Focus', and they will run as Manufacturer/Construtors entrants. Sam Osborne and Andy Neate will run out of the Motorbase side of the garage whilst Jake Hill and Ollie Jackson will do the same for MB Motorsport.
In today's episode, I had such a sensational chat with a childhood hero of mine; Matt Neal. Matt is a 30 year veteran of the BTCC, and has won the championship 3 times - in 2005, 2006, and 2011. He gives us an insight into racing in the touring car championship, what it's like to be victorious, and his crazy rivalry with Jason Plato - shining light on the Rockingham incident in 2011. As always, he answered some of your fan questions too! I hope you enjoy listening to our little natter just as much as I enjoyed recording it!
Matt Neal has been around dogs and horses his entire life but for the past 15 he's been focused on ducks and training retrievers that can pick them all up. Taking to the hunt test world he has built multiple HRCH's and MH's as well as competed in the SRS and AKC Field Trials. In this episode he talks about puppies and young dogs, routines to make them successful, how to lure them into working hard and that drive and desire that will build. All in all this episode will make you a better retriever trainer both young or old. http://eastcarolinaretrievers.comhttp://eukanubasportingdog.comSupport the show (http://Eastcarolinaretrievers.com)
