There are few voices in Ufology who have not only witnessed history but have actively shaped it. Paola Harris is one of them. For more than four decades, she has investigated some of the most compelling UFO cases, spoken to high-ranking military officials, and built personal relationships with some of the most influential figures in the field. From Dr. J. Allen Hynek to Dr. Michael Wolf to Colonel Philip J. Corso, Paola has been at the center of some of the most groundbreaking revelations about the UFO phenomenon. But tonight… this interview is different. Paola Harris isn't just here as an investigator. She's here as a pioneer, a truth-seeker, and someone who—without exaggeration—helped build this very platform you are listening to today. Before Veritas was what it is now, Paola answered every email, every phone call. She introduced me to the very people who helped shape my journey—names like Whitley Strieber, Clifford Stone, Edgar Mitchell, Dr. Steven Greer, Paul Hellyer, and many more. She never asked for anything in return. So tonight, we honor her. We will revisit her most significant investigations—the revelations of Dr. Michael Wolf, the hidden truths behind Dr. John Mack's work on alien abductions, the Remi Baca and Jose Padilla case that predates Roswell, and the mysterious human-like extraterrestrials who may already be among us. Are we truly alone? Or has the truth been hidden in plain sight all along? Paola Harris has spent her life searching for answers. And tonight, she shares them with us.
In the second half of an extended interview Jeremy and George are joined by New York Times journalist Ralph Blumenthal, co-author of the game-changing 2017 UFO story. The trio dive deep into the life of Dr. John Mack, the Pulitzer Prize-winning Harvard psychiatrist who dared to take alien abduction seriously - and paid a steep price for it. The journalists unpack Mack's desperate fight to preserve his tenure during a secret Harvard 'inquisition' in the 1990s, his courageous expedition to the African town of Ruwa, Zimbabwe, to investigate the astonishing 1994 close encounter witnessed by 60 schoolchildren, and his provocative theories linking UFO incidents to paranormal experiences. Blumenthal pulls back the curtain on a man who saw a universe far stranger than we're told, from abductions to crop circles and beyond. But the story doesn't end with Mack. Blumenthal shares insider perspectives on the modern UFO frontier - why whistleblowers still fear coming forward, and the uphill battle for full disclosure in a skeptical world. This episode is a call to arms for independent journalism to uncover what's really out there, revealing the challenges of reporting the unreportable and the relentless pursuit of the unknown. In the eight decades since the modern UFO era began, few dates are as monumentally important as Dec. 16, 2017. That is when The New York Times published a blockbuster story about a secretive government investigation into alarming and ongoing encounters between U.S. military units and unidentified machines of unknown origin - machines that appear to be far more advanced than any technology known to exist on Earth. The fact that The New York Times, regarded as "the paper of record" and possibly the most respected news platform in the country, plastered the UFO exposé on the front page of its Dec. 17 edition sent shockwaves through American journalism, grabbed the attention of Congress, and reignited public interest in a subject that had been largely ignored or ridiculed - not only by The Times, but by nearly every major news organization in the Western world. The ripple effects from that report are still unfolding more than seven years later. The three journalists who worked on the story - Helene Cooper, Leslie Kean, and Ralph Blumenthal - somehow managed to overcome decades of government disinformation, scientific ridicule, and editorial scorn to get the story into the paper. Blumenthal, a brilliant, award-winning newsman, staked his reputation and career on that one report. How did he and his colleagues pull it off? What other secrets did they uncover that never made it into print? In a candid and highly personal conversation, Blumenthal reveals to Jeremy and George the difficulties that confronted the three journalists, including blowback from their colleagues, arguments with editors, and the conspiracy theories espoused by the loudest voices in the always rancorous UFO community. The story about AATIP, Tic Tac, Elizondo, Harry Reid, and other key players was not Blumenthal's entry point to the UFO debate. He was already investigating the life and career of a brilliant, mercurial, and flawed trailblazer - a Harvard psychiatrist named Dr. John Mack. Like the late Dr. Mack, Blumenthal suspects that the personal encounters between humans and non-humans, as reported by tens of thousands of people all over the world, might be far more important than the competition between world powers to master the technological secrets stashed deep inside the bowels of black-world programs. In a full-show appearance, veteran UFO observer and reporter Keith Thompson discussed complexities surrounding UFO phenomena, including sightings, government responses, researchers' interpretations, and the fields of consciousness and the paranormal. He highlighted the government's typical response to UFO sightings, which often downplays the significance of these events. Their pattern, he said, has repeated throughout the UFO phenomenon since 1947: "Go away, people. There's nothing to be seen here." He pondered whether the current drone phenomenon (such as mysterious sightings over NJ) could be a test of public reaction, suggesting that non-human intelligence might be observing human responses to these ambiguous situations.Thompson emphasized the need to reassess the terminology surrounding UFOs, noting that the shift from "UFO" to "UAP" (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena) was an attempt by the Pentagon to distance itself from the stigma associated with extraterrestrial life. He pointed out that "UFO means unidentified flying object," yet the term has become conflated with extraterrestrial narratives, limiting our understanding of the phenomenon. He also touched on the cultural implications of UFOs, stating, "The deeper you dig into it, the wider the discussion gets." He urged listeners to consider the broader historical context, hinting at connections between UFOs and ancient myths, as explored in Jacques Vallee's work.Drawing parallels between UFO experiences and shamanic traditions, he compared some UFO encounters to unusual states of consciousness, like a near-death experience he had in Hawaii. In comprehending the topic, he advocated for thinking beyond conventional boundaries. "Some of what were called UFOs are probably interdimensional rather than extraterrestrial," he continued. Addressing his influence on Dr. John Mack, the late Harvard psychiatrist who studied alien abduction phenomena, Mack told Thompson that if he had not read his book Angels & Aliens (published in 1991), he might not have gone down the road of delving into the subject.Thompson spoke about his research into the 1994 Ariel School incident in Zimbabwe, where over 60 children reported an encounter with extraterrestrial beings, and the profound psychological impact of this experience that followed some of the witnesses into adulthood, such as Emily Trim. The conversation shifted to the political landscape surrounding UFO disclosure, with Thompson recounting his involvement with Lawrence Rockefeller in efforts to persuade the Clinton administration to release information about UFOs.
In a recent conversation with Austin Bridges of L/L Research, we explored the profound interweaving of UFO phenomena, consciousness evolution, and spiritual development. Our dialogue revealed insights into how these mysterious encounters may be serving as catalysts for both individual and collective transformation. The conversation began with Austin sharing his perspective on recent developments in UFO disclosure, particularly highlighting the complex dynamics between institutional responses and public perception. What emerged was a thoughtful examination of how our materialist paradigm both shapes and is challenged by these phenomena. Austin's approach to understanding UFO phenomena outside the Law of One framework particularly resonated with my therapeutic perspective. Drawing from thinkers like Jacques Vallee, Diana Walsh Pasulka, and John Mack, he articulated how UFO encounters share remarkable consistencies with historical accounts of spiritual and paranormal experiences, suggesting a deeper pattern of consciousness evolution at work. A crucial insight emerged regarding the reflective nature of these phenomena. As a psychotherapist, I was struck by how UFO experiences seem to manifest in ways that mirror both individual and collective psychological states. This mirrors what we see in therapeutic settings – the external world often reflects our internal landscape in profound and meaningful ways. The conversation turned to examining how we might hold space for seemingly contradictory experiences without dismissing their validity. Drawing parallels with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), we explored how accepting rather than resolving contradictions can lead to deeper understanding. This approach proves particularly valuable when considering the diverse and often conflicting accounts of UFO experiences. Our dialogue revealed a profound truth: the path toward understanding these phenomena mirrors our own spiritual evolution. Just as in therapy we learn to embrace rather than reject challenging aspects of ourselves, perhaps our collective approach to UFO phenomena requires similar wisdom – holding space for mystery while maintaining connection with each other across differing beliefs and experiences. The bellicose tendency in UFO discourse emerged as a significant theme. As we discussed, this reflects a deeper societal pattern that requires healing. The challenge lies not in achieving perfect agreement but in maintaining connection despite our differences – a principle I've observed both in therapeutic practice and in personal relationships. Perhaps most significantly, our conversation suggested that the ultimate value of UFO phenomena may lie not in their objective reality but in their capacity to serve as catalysts for spiritual growth. As Austin noted, and as I've observed in therapeutic work, it's often not the nature of an experience that matters most, but rather how we integrate and grow from it. This discussion reinforced my belief that whether examining UFO phenomena or engaging in therapeutic work, the key lies in maintaining an open heart while holding space for mystery. The path forward requires neither blind acceptance nor rigid skepticism, but rather a careful balance of discernment and wonder. As we concluded our dialogue, it became clear that the phenomenon of disclosure – whether of UFOs or of our own inner truth – operates simultaneously on personal and collective levels. The external revelation we seek perhaps mirrors the internal awakening we require. In my years of therapeutic practice, I've observed how healing often comes not from finding absolute answers but from learning to hold questions with greater awareness and compassion. Perhaps the same wisdom applies to our collective engagement with UFO phenomena – the truth we seek may lie not in final answers but in the evolution of consciousness that the seeking itself promotes. This conversation with Austin Bridges offered valuable insights into how we might approach both personal and collective evolution with greater wisdom and compassion. As we continue to grapple with these profound mysteries, may we remember that the greatest disclosure may be the one that occurs within our own hearts.

Episode 546 Keith Thompson is an author, independent journalist, and explorer of exceptional mind-body capacities as indicators of human evolution. His acclaimed book, Angels and Aliens: UFOs and the Mythic Imagination (Ballantine Books, 1993), was praised by the San Francisco Chronicle as “magnificent” and recognized by Venture World as “probably the most profound book on the UFO controversy.” Harvard psychiatrist John Mack credited Thompson's work with sparking his interest in alien abduction reports.Thompson's influential 1982 interview with Robert Bly helped initiate the"men's movement" focused on contemporary masculinity. His New book is "UFO Paradox", In case after case related to UFO encounters and other unknown aerial phenomena (UAP), the same impasse is reached: testimony from witnesses on one side, and dismissive responses from the authorities on the other. In the fertile void of this deadlock, however, lie extraordinary possibilities about the nature of mind and matter, spirit, and soul, transforming the UFO into a celestial, metaphysical event. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/michaeldecon/support
John Mack (LinkedIn) author, speaker, photographer and founder of the non-profit Life Calling, focused on preserving our humanity in a digital age. We get into the weeds of what technology is doing to us at the moment, and why exactly it is so pervasive. We also speak of what it has the potential to do for us. We speak of the meta-crisis and how it is an offer for us to really reimagine the world. John also speaks of his ROH - return on human, we speak of human vs humane tech, touch upon why no-one seems to question the question: what do I need to do to preserve my humanity in this digital age? This conversation goes deep. Enjoy!

On this episode of Thinking Ahead, we return to the fascinating subject of UFOs, or UAPs (Unidentified Anomalous Phenomenon) as they are sometimes called. I've already done a couple of podcasts on this topic (if you'd like a more introductory episode, I'd recommend listening to my interview with journalist Ross Coulthart). This conversation ventures down the UFO rabbit hole with author and journalist Keith Thompson, who has written two books on the subject, including his most recent The UFO Paradox: The Celestial and Symbolic World of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena. Keith approaches this complex and controversial issue as a big-picture thinker incorporating a number of disparate fields. We discuss the history of UFOs, recent revelations from the military, near death experiences (including Keith's own), and how questions around consciousness and spirituality intersect with UFOs. We even touch on John Mack's research into the abduction phenomenon. I'm thrilled to have him on the podcast to share an in-depth discussion of these ever-intriguing anomalies that continue to haunt and confound the modern world.

Mary Rodwell has worked on approximately 3500 cases of individuals having extraterrestrial encounters since 1995 when she began her research in Australia after emigrating from her native Britain where she worked professionally as a nurse and mid-wife. The catalyst for her new interest were two books authored by Dr. John Mack and Whitley Streiber dealing with extraterrestrial abduction cases. In 1997, Rodwell created the Australian Close Encounter Research Network and has found that 85% of encounters experienced by individuals are positive, while 15% of her cases involve negative experiences. While she acknowledges that some of the traumatic experiences derive from negative extraterrestrial groups, the majority come from human military forces re-abducting experiencers and subjecting them to trauma in what are known as MILABS. She has helped individuals overcome traumatic memories associated with their abductions and integrate their extraterrestrial encounters in ways that raise their consciousness and activate latent DNA abilities. Also, many of the experiences she has hypnotically regressed remember past lives on different planets and have come to Earth to raise consciousness and become the foundation for the emergence of “New Humans.” Rodwell asserts that she helps individuals understand their soul contracts with different extraterrestrials in order to help them integrate their experiences and memories. She believes that humanity is being genetically upgraded through extraterrestrial encounters that lead to changes in DNA and consciousness that result in the emergence of “New Humans.” Rodwell responds to controversial issues raised by Dr. Michael Salla about different types of extraterrestrials involved in encounters and their respective agendas. While human-looking extraterrestrials emphasize the importance of conscious consent in making contact, others such as Grays, Zetas, Reptilians and Insectoids involved in abductions emphasize instead “soul contracts” and subconscious desires. She also responds to questions about the creation of Gray-human hybrids whom researchers such as Dr. David Jacobs believe constitute a threat to humanity. Rodwell believes that the overall impact of extraterrestrial encounters are positive and are making an enormous contribution by helping in the emergence of “New Humans” whose heightened abilities and consciousness surpasses normal homo sapiens. She is very optimistic that in the immediate years ahead, there will be sweeping positive changes on our planet as humans continue to evolve and transform through extraterrestrial encounters and the effect of starseeds raising human consciousness. Carol Tavris - Mistakes Were Made But Not By Me The Psychology of Self-Justification with Carol Tavris In this episode, Aidan McCullen interviews Carol Tavris, co-author of 'Mistakes Were Made (But Not by Me),' to explore the intricacies of cognitive dissonance, self-justification, and memory. They investigate why humans find it difficult to admit mistakes, even in the presence of irrefutable evidence. Through numerous case studies and real-world examples, they discuss the implications of these psychological mechanisms in areas as varied as personal life, law enforcement, and political decision-making. The conversation tackles how these insights can apply to everyone from parents and judges to business leaders and law enforcement, emphasizing the significance of humility, critical thinking, and the human tendency to rewrite personal histories to fit current beliefs. 00:00 Introduction to Self-Justification 01:14 Welcoming the Author: Carol Tavris 02:17 The Premise of the Book 03:06 Understanding Cognitive Dissonance 08:44 Memory and Self-Justification 14:43 Confabulations and False Memories 23:02 The Pyramid of Choice 32:42 Law Enforcement and Wrongful Convictions 37:58 The Importance of Correcting Interrogation Methods 38:33 The Impact of Miscarriages of Justice 38:55 Examples of Recognizing Mistakes 39:52 The 1980s and 90s Hysteria Over Child Abuse 40:21 The McMartin Daycare Scandal 41:06 Flawed Child Interrogation Techniques 42:58 A Case of Misunderstanding: Daddy's Pee Pee 44:53 The Emotional Toll of False Convictions 47:39 The Pyramid of Entrapment and Justification 48:48 The Influence of Bias in Decision Making 50:32 The Role of Pharmaceutical Companies in Medicine 52:06 Moral Choices and Life Decisions 54:55 Understanding and Living with Cognitive Dissonance 01:03:17 The Power of Admitting Mistakes 01:06:58 The Allure of Victim Narratives 01:08:40 Alien Abductions and Hypnagogic States 01:14:17 The Importance of Understanding Human Frailties Find Carol here: That Sarah Silverman interview: Carol's books: psychology, cognitive dissonance, self-justification, memory, mistakes, humility, ethics, law enforcement, interrogation, wrongful convictions, trauma, alien abductions, confirmation bias, leadership, decision making, self-concept, Carol Tavris (author), Aidan McCullen (host), Elliot Aronson (co-author), Leon Festinger (researcher on cognitive dissonance), James Thurber (author of The Wonderful O), Richard Feynman (scientist and quote source), Mary Carr (memoirist), Joseph Allen (wrongfully convicted), Ronald Reagan (Bitburg cemetery incident), Shimon Peres (comment on Reagan's mistake), Sarah Silverman (Louis C.K. controversy), Louis C.K. The Ariel School incident is perhaps the most important mass UFO sighting of the 20th Century. Even more so due to the 2022 documentary Arial Phenomenon which catches up with the school children some 20 years later. This incident brought Harvard psychiatrist John Mack to the fore front of UFO matters. Sixty-two pupils at the Ariel School aged between six and twelve said that they saw one or more silver craft descend from the sky and land on a field near their school. Some of the children claimed that one or more creatures dressed all in black then approached and telepathically communicated to them a message with an environmental theme, frightening them and causing them to cry. The Fortean writer Jerome Clark has called the incident the “most remarkable close encounter of the third kind of the 1990s”. Some skeptics have described the incident as one of mass hysteria. Not all the children at the school that day stated that they saw something. Several of those that did maintain that their account of the incident is true. Background Ruwa is a small agricultural center located 22 kilometers (14 mi) south-east of the capital Harare. At the time of the incident, it was not a town but only a local place-name, "little more than a crossroads in an agricultural region". Ariel School was an expensive private school. Most of the pupils were from wealthy white families in Harare. Two days prior to the incident at Ariel there had been a number of UFO sightings throughout southern Africa. There had been numerous reports of a bright fireball passing through the sky at night. Many people answered ZBC Radio's request to call in and describe what they had seen. Although some witnesses interpreted the fireball as a comet or meteor, it resulted in a wave of UFO mania in Zimbabwe at the time. According to skeptic Brian Dunning, the fireball "had been the re-entry of the Zenit-2 rocket from the Cosmos 2290 satellite launch. The booster broke up into burning streaks as it moved silently across the sky, giving an impressive light show to millions of Africans. “Local UFO researcher Cynthia Hind recorded other alien sightings at this time, including a daylight sighting by a young boy and his mother and a report of alien beings on a road by a trucker. Incident The sightings at Ariel occurred at 10am on 16 September 1994, when pupils were outside on mid-morning break. The adult faculty at the school were inside having a meeting at the time. The entire incident lasted about fifteen minutes. When the children returned to class, they told the teachers what they had seen but were dismissed. When they returned home, they told their parents. Many of those parents came to the school the next day to discuss what had happened with the faculty.[8] The sighting was reported on ZBC Radio, from where Cynthia Hind learned about it. The BBC's correspondent in Zimbabwe, Tim Leach, visited the school on 19 September to film interviews with pupils and staff. After investigating this incident, Leach stated "I could handle war zones, but I could not handle this". Hind visited the school on 20 September 1994. She interviewed some of the children and asked them to draw pictures of what they had seen. She reported that the children all told her the same story. That November, Harvard University professor of psychiatry and Pulitzer Prize winning author John Mack visited the Ariel school to interview witnesses. Throughout the 1990s Mack had investigated UFO sightings and the alien abduction phenomenon. According to the interviews of Hind, Leach and Mack, 62 children between the ages of six and twelve said that they had seen at least one UFO. One or more silver objects, usually described as discs, appeared in the sky. They then floated down to a field of brush and small trees just outside school property. Between one and four creatures with big eyes and dressed all in black, exited a craft and approached the children. At this point many of the children ran but some, mostly older pupils, stayed and watched the approach. According to Mack's interviews the creature or creatures then telepathically communicated to the children an environmental message, before returning to the craft and flying away. According to Dunning, this telepathic message aspect of the story was not included in Hind or Leach's reports, only Mack's, although Hind reported it later. In Mack's interviews one fifth-grader tells how he was warned "about something that's going to happen," and that "pollution mustn't be". An eleven-year-old girl told Mack "I think they want people to know that we're actually making harm on this world and we mustn't get too technologic." One child said that he was told that the world would end because they are not taking care of the planet. The children were adamant that they had not seen a plane. Hind noted that the different cultural background of the children gave rise to different interpretations of what they had seen and they did not all believe that they had seen extraterrestrials. She noted that some of the children thought the short little beings were tikoloshes, creatures of Shona and Ndebele folklore.

Our discussion dives and weaves into all aspects of the UFO experience, the nature of abductions, who the ET's may be, and the role the compound DMT may play in communicating with these beings. Thompson reveals how the UFO phenomenon ultimately represents a call from the cosmos for humanity to open to greater dimensions of reality and recognize that our understanding of the universe is still far from complete. Today, we're diving into one of the most compelling UFO cases in history - the Ariel School incident of 1994. In Ruwa, Zimbabwe, 62 schoolchildren claimed to have seen UFOs and alien beings during their morning break. These kids, aged 6 to 12, gave consistent accounts of silver craft and strange figures with large eyes. Their testimonies caught the attention of renowned researchers, including Harvard psychiatrist Dr. John Mack. What's truly remarkable is that even 30 years later, many of these witnesses stand by their stories. They speak of telepathic communications about environmental destruction and technology's dangers. Whether you believe in UFOs or not, this case challenges our understanding of reality and raises profound questions about our place in the universe.Podcast published on 08 July 2024.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/lehto-files-investigating-uaps--5990774/support.
It seems there are more shows, podcasts, documentaries, and books than ever before about ETs, UFOs, UAPs, and alien contact. How has the phenomenon of aliens affected our consciousness? Why is it so prevalent today? Our esteemed guest today is John Edward Mack, M.D., a Pulitzer Prize-winning biographer and a professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. He won the Pulitzer Prize in 1977 for “A Prince of Our Disorder,” his biography of T. E. Lawrence. Dr. Mack is the founding director of the Program for Extraordinary Experience Research (PEER) and today he discusses how the phenomenon of alien experiences has affected the consciousness of our society. Dr. Mack embraced a worldview inspired by elements of spiritual and philosophical traditions which hold that we are all connected to one another. The theme of “connection” to other life was explored most boldly in his study of men and women who reported that recurrent alien encounter experiences had affected the way they regarded the world, including a heightened sense of spirituality and environmental concern. Dr. Mack recorded the experiences of people who were subjected to intelligence profoundly different from our own. He noted that these are healthy, normal people. They are credible and there are hundreds of thousands of people who have had these experiences. They have encountered other multiple dimensions. We are stuck in our restricted three-dimensional consciousness. Dr. Mack has shifted his consciousness and realized that Native People around the world are familiar with this phenomenon. They have had encounters with these beings. What is the difference between spirits and these extra-terrestrial beings? The spirit world is abstract. The “real world” is a physical world, but can spirit manifest as material? Dr. Mack has worked with diverse cultures around the world who have had these experiences. As a psychiatrist, he takes a thorough history of his patients, then evaluates them. Patients do not want to believe that this may have happened. They don't understand the mystery of these experiences. This pattern of thinking shatters the view that we may be protected. But this is not the view of the indigenous people. It is a Western view to rule out any outer intelligence. This is shattering to the view of the experiencers. Western culture believes that we have control. This shows that we do not. It's very threatening to our sense of security. If experiencers believe they have been subjected to aliens, they believe they are victims and their consciousness may be restricted. But if they can go into their fear, and experience it, staying with the intense energy, they will access another level of consciousness. It is possible for them to pass through the trauma and experience a profound connection to God/Source and other dimensions, even the beings themselves. There is tremendous energy involved in these encounters. Dr. Mack discusses various types of beings that his patients have described. They present a dire warning about the impacts humans are having on the environment. The fact that these beings do not appear to us in a way that is possible to prove from a 3-D level of science, does not disprove that we are being visited. Our culture is becoming more and more aware of this phenomenon and the possibilities presented that we may not be alone in this universe. Info: www.johnemackinstitute.org.

Subscriber-only episodeDerrel Sims The Alien Hunter is the world's leading expert on alien abductions. His 38+ years of field research have focused on physical evidence, and led to his groundbreaking discoveries of alien implants and alien fluorescence. As a former military police officer and CIA operative, Sims has a unique insight into the alien organization which he believes functions similarly to an intelligence agency. Sims is also a compassionate and skilled therapist who has helped hundreds of alien experiencers all over the world come to terms with what they've witnessed.Derrel Sims Website:https://thealienhunter.com/Derrel Sims, UFO Career highlights:Discovered the alien implant phenomenon in 1960! Later pioneered research protocols, and orchestrated the first public surgeries and testing of alleged implants from the human body (1995).First UFO researcher to be invited to lecture on “ Alien Implants” by the AMA, at a conference at John Muir Medical Center, on the “Medical Complications of Alleged Human/Alien Contact;” received Letter of Appreciation (1994). This accomplishment was lauded by the late Dr. John Mack, MD, Harvard medical School.Discovered phenomenon of “alien fluorescence,” an indelible, sub-dermal traces and patterns that often follow alien/human contact. (Circa 1992)Derrel has in his possession the largest collection of physical evidence of alien/human contact including skin samples, DNA samples, XRays/MRIs, sonograms, objects with possible forensic traces (glass, wall, etc.), anomalous implants/artifacts expelled from the human body and surgically removed.Pioneered revolutionary hypnotherapy techniques for reaching beneath screen memories—and Psychological “blocks”. Some of these are as much as 3 layers deep. Derrel discovered “screen dreams”, that are activated what a hypnotist, misses the memory of the event, and activates “recall”… Which is not memory at all.First abduction researcher to initiate reaction from alien, via post-hypnotic suggestions installed behind the abductee's subconscious.Developed an extensive questionnaire for alleged alien experiencers employing a variety of analytical techniques including symbolic profiling drawings, handwriting analysis, Neuro Linguistic Programming ( NLP ), and hypnotherapy.

In this episode, Joe and guest co-host Erica Rex interview Elizabeth Anglin: spirit medium, animal communicator, intuitive healer, alien abductee, and author of Experience: Memoirs of an Abducted Childhood. She talks about her early abduction experiences, the time when she and her father realized they were both being abducted at the same time (from different locations), and the horrifying experience of six beings entering her apartment and realizing she knew one of them. These experiences led her to Budd Hopkins, and eventually John Mack (who did regression work with her) and the John E. Mack Institute, where she became a peer mentor for abductees. She talks about the validity of alien abductions, the concept of spiritual ecology, and the importance of listening to people: There's so much we don't know, so is it fair to label experiencers as schizophrenic just because we can't replicate the experience? She discusses: The commonality of people from the same family being abducted and why some people are lifetime abductees while others are only taken once The differences in abductions and how some seem to only be mental while others are physical and extremely painful The story of Linda Napolitano and the famous Brooklyn Bridge abduction Regressive hypnotherapy work: Are the memories you're recovering accurate? Quantum biology, the Penrose-Hameroff quantum theory of consciousness, parallel realities, time travel, and quantum jumping and so much more! As the X-Files made famous: The truth is out there. In this episode, Joe interviews Dr. Peter Grinspoon: primary care physician and cannabis specialist at Massachusetts General Hospital, TedX speaker, certified physician life coach, and author of the new book, Seeing Through the Smoke: A Cannabis Expert Untangles the Truth about Marijuana. He tells his story of growing up in a house where academics like John Mack and Carl Sagan regularly smoked cannabis, and being inspired by the groundbreaking books of his father, Lester Grinspoon. An outspoken advocate for drug policy reform and embracing different, non-AA paths to recovery, he talks about how he got there: his opiate addiction, fall from medicine, subsequent return, and learning just how deep the stigma against drugs goes, and how much the medical establishment is another arm of the Drug War. Seeing Through the Smoke aims to tell the truth about cannabis, especially on benefits and real and debunked harms. How can we get more physicians and lawmakers on our side if all they know is propaganda? He discusses: -The challenge in speaking honestly with physicians about drug use -Why physicians are in support of researching psychedelics but not cannabis -Stigmatized language and Drug War vibes in medical software -The truth about cannabis, schizophrenia, and the risk of drug-induced psychosis -Portugal and the ‘Rat Park' model -The importance of listening to what patients are saying – especially when we don't have enough good data and more! Over the last several episodes of this podcast we've been exploring the overlap between religious history, Shamanism and the UFO Phenomenon. In today's episode we'll be continuing this line of inquiry by zeroing in on the mystical and transformative aspects of encounters had as part of the modern UFO Phenomenon. Specifically we'll be considering how the nature of these encounters, had in a seemingly alternate realm or alternate state of consciousness, prompt remarkably consistent and long-lasting worldview changes amongst those who've had the experiences. While some will argue that the ontological shock experienced in interactions with alien beings that are not supposed to exist according to the dictates of conventional thinking is simply that - the result of paradigm-shattering experiences had with often frightening, “bug-like” creatures - a more thoughtful approach might suggest that, to the contrary, the “reality rewrite” that experiencers undergo is not just an unintended side-effect, but a chief aim of the entire enterprise. Put another way, one can very clearly make the argument that a central mission of these mysterious Others interacting with human beings over time is to “wake us up” to who we truly are, and to how we're connected to everything and everyone else around us, including myriad beings we have not even yet begun to map onto our collective awareness. Ultimately that “waking up” process is not only about expanding our conceptual categories, but more centrally about cracking open human perception and potential - allowing us to more fully step into our true birthright as powerful, multidimensional beings that are fractal representations of Source consciousness itself. In the latter part of the 20th century, John Mack, a well-respected professor of psychiatry and head of the department of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School was thrust full-on into these confusing and controversial matters when he began to be sought out by the people who'd had these discombobulating encounters. In taking these accounts seriously, determining that - contrary to mainstream thinking of the time - these accounts were not the result of delusional, damaged minds, Mack played a central role in mainstreaming our culture's engagement with these challenging issues. In today's episode we'll be considering the observations made by Mack in his ground-breaking book Passport to the Cosmos: Human Transformation and Alien Encounters. By the time Mack penned this book, he was a decade or more into the matter of apparent alien abduction and hybridization, and, having had first-hand exposure not only to Western experiencers, but also to Shamans and those of various indigenous traditions from around the world, he was in a unique position to draw overarching insights from his immersive investigations. In what directions did these investigations take his thinking, and why were his tentative conclusions so utterly unpalatable for conventional, Western society? These are the matters we'll seek to explore in this, the 97th episode of the Point of Convergence podcast.
