Braiden is a London-based DJ and producer known for his genre-blurring sets and finely tuned ear for sound design. During the 2000's he was a pivotal figure in underground club culture, helping to push and champion a new style of bass music which would go on to become synonymous with dance music in the UK and globally. Braiden gained early recognition through his diverse and dynamic DJ sets, which fluidly blend elements of house, techno, grime, UK garage, and experimental electronics. He first made waves as a presenter on Rinse FM, where his forward-thinking selections and deep knowledge of club music cultures earned him a keen following. His productions — including the acclaimed 2010 debut single “The Alps” on Joy Orbison's Doldrums label — showcase a meticulous approach to rhythm and atmosphere. “The Alps” was reissued this year, cementing the EP amidst a new crowd with Braiden having ducked out of the spotlight for several years to focus on other outlets. Now he's back, with new music as well.

Send us a textIt's early August. Your waiting room is half-empty. The phones are unusually quiet. And your front desk staff is asking the question you've heard every summer: “Is it always this slow?” Welcome to the summer doldrums. If you've led or worked in a clinic for any length of time, you know what I'm talking about. The summer months, particularly June through August, often bring a natural lull in patient volume—especially in outpatient settings like primary care, pediatrics, dermatology, and behavioral health. But what if I told you that this lull isn't just something to endure—but a strategic opportunity to plan, recalibrate, and even grow? In today's episode of Medical Money Matters, we're exploring how to make the most of slower summer clinic schedules. From measuring capacity to boosting seasonal services, supporting your team, and launching marketing campaigns, we'll talk about how to turn a seasonal dip into long-term gains. What does Walt Disney's malaise in the 1940s have to do with our current struggles with our screens? In this episode, Cal uses a little-known story from Disney's midlife to identify an effective strategy for escaping the nerve-deadening, dull state created by spending more and more of your professional and personal life on screens. He then answers listener questions (with an unusual level of spiciness), tries to calm himself with a reprise of the SLOW PRODUCTIVITY CORNER theme music, and concludes with a discussion of a recent essay he wrote about how no one really knows anything about AI.Below are the questions covered in today's episode (with their timestamps). Has Head Coach Brent Pry finally found the magic key to unlocking Hokies football from the doldrums? With two new coordinators and more than enough new names on the roster it appears that opportunity is knocking this season. The Lead Analyst and Columnist at TechSideline, Chris Coleman joins Will and Jim on ACC Nation and shares a wealth of knowledge that seems to indicate this team is close to shedding mediocrity. There are several must-win games to get the engine started and a win over South Carolina in Atlanta would go a long way in priming the pump. Coleman gives us his thumbs up-thumbs down on the 2025 season. The conclusion is the team is riding somewhere in between the dark and the light. What will it take to move in the right direction? Hokies Will and Chris break down the changes in offense and defense under Phil Montgomery and Sam Siefkes. Which side of the ball is most likely to advance? Tough questions and only time will tell. The Hokies are at home for 7 games and there seems to be more tv time for them as well. Does someone know something the rest of us don't? Be sure to subscribe to ACC Nation Podcast, listen to us on streaming radio or watch each episode on our YouTube channel.
With the US dollar battered by stop-start tariff policy, fiscal profligacy and questions about the independence of the Federal Reserve, where should investors turn? The dollar index, which measures the currency's strength against a basket of six others including the pound, euro and yen, slumped more than 10% in the first half of 2025, the worst start to the year since the end of the gold-backed Bretton Woods system in 1973.For more insights, visit Viewpoint: https://viewpoint.bnpparibas-am.com/Download the Viewpoint app: https://onelink.to/tpxq34Follow us on LinkedIn: https://bnpp.lk/amHosted by Ausha. It's that time of year where things slow down. The calm before the storm of summer announcements. E3 may be dead but the excitement of E3 week lives on. Unfortunately, it means this time of year - unless there is a major leak - is usually quiet. But that's okay because this episode we talk about areas of the world, mythologies and cultures that could come to prominence in gaming. With the US industry seemingly stumbling, are there other countries that could grow to dominate the industry? Also, at the end of the end of the episode I mention a great horror book, but couldn't recall the exact title: Between Two Fires by Christopher Buehlman. Enjoy!

For the past few years, Germany has begun to look like the ‘sick man of Europe' again. Its economy has barely grown since 2019, while its famous manufacturing sector has shrivelled. But earlier this month, financial markets were buoyed by a vote in the German parliament to relax the constitutional limit on government borrowing, the so-called debt brake. It means that Germany's likely new conservative-led coalition government will be free to borrow unlimited amounts to fund a defence sector build-up, and can also draw on a €500bn fund to spend on infrastructure over the next 10 years. But will more government spending be enough to address Germany's structural economic problems? The FT's Martin Sandbu speaks to economist Ulrike Malmendier of the University of California, Berkeley, who is a member of the German Council of Economics Experts, which evaluates the government's economic policies.Martin Sandbu writes a regular column for the Financial Times, which you can find here. This week on the Five Heart Podcast, the format is thrown out the door. That's right, Holgermaniacs, the show you wanted for months is finally happening! The pages of Minnie's notes are OUT! Greg's freestyle approach is in. It's what you think you've wanted but only time will tell if it turns into the prize you think it is. Let's face it...just like Batman at the end of The Dark Knight, Greg is the hero this show deserves, but not the one it needs right now (that would be Minnie, for all of you wondering). But it's the football off-season. We're not yet to Spring Football. The transfer portal is temporarily closed. It's less the off-season and more like the dead period. But Mike Ekeler was officially announced as the Special Teams Coordinator and his salary was revealed. How does it compare to other salaries on the coaching staff? Who needs a bump in pay? Who is overcompensated? Also...Nebraska Men's Basketball. Though I feel like even mentioning them by name casts a shadow over the program. I love Fred Hoiberg and I love this team, but it seems like the more I watch them or care about them, that's when their performance anxiety kicks in. And we don't want that. We'll also cover women's hoops, wrestling, and softball. Baseball starts up this week so there may be something there to discuss. It's all in a wild and whacky show - NO FORMAT - on the Corn Nation YouTube, Facebook, and X. Join us. We insist.

Electric vehicles are a big part of the green energy transition but some of their most critical components are made using rare-earth elements. These can be highly toxic and environmentally destructive to mine and refine, with politically-complicated supply chains to boot. Engineers and automakers like Tesla, GM and Stellantis are now racing to build motors that don't require magnets made from rare earths, but they must figure out how to match the efficiency. WSJ mining and commodities reporter Rhiannon Hoyle speaks with host Danny Lewis about why countries and companies are finding alternatives to rare earths.
