Our guest this week is Lisa Mitchell. Lisa is the girls varsity head soccer coach at Los Gatos High School, a PE teacher at Fisher Middle School for the last 21 years. She's also a three-time NCAA Final Four captain at Santa Clara, a pro on the 2001 CyberRays team that won the first WUSA championship 25 years ago, and mom to three, including a set of 7-year-old twins. Few people see youth soccer the way Lisa Mitchell does. She teaches PE at Fisher Middle School, then watches those same kids move into the high school program — and she's seen firsthand the pressure club coaches put on players to skip high school soccer entirely."We see the long game here," Craig says. "A lot of the club coaches see the today and to the end of the season."

Send us Fan MailThe Final Four is stacked, the storylines are loud, and the arguments are even louder. We sit down with our “Excellent Eight” roundtable to preview the 2026 NCAA Final Four on Easter weekend and we don't just pick winners, we dig into why these matchups feel like a collision of eras: UConn vs Illinois and Arizona vs Michigan, with the title game waiting on Easter Monday. We start with the question everyone keeps dodging: where does Danny Hurley actually belong in college basketball history right now? We compare today's coaching job to the old world of recruiting and long-term roster building, because the transfer portal and NIL have turned coaches into public-facing GMs. From there, we talk surprise teams, who looks built to get back next season, and what “fate” means when one shot can rewrite a legacy. Then we get practical. We debate tipoff times, why the Monday night championship frustrates fans, and whether the Final Four should live in a football stadium or return to true basketball arenas where sightlines and shooting backdrops feel normal. We also tackle the bigger development topic: is modern college basketball producing NBA-ready players, or are international systems winning because they teach fundamentals and decision-making earlier? If you're looking for a smart 2026 Final Four preview with NCAA tournament predictions, coaching talk, and what to watch when the pressure hits, this one's for you. On paper, Sarah Myer looks like she has it all figured out.As Chief of Staff & Strategy for the Indiana Sports Corp., she's helped lead some of the biggest sporting events in Indianapolis — from NCAA Final Fours to the Olympic Swim Trials — operating on some of the biggest stages, with thousands watching. But behind the scenes, her story is far more human -- and relatable to so many other badasses. In this episode, Sarah opens up about the moments that shaped her — navigating divorce, grief, loss, and now walking alongside her mom through a cancer diagnosis — and how those experiences changed the way she leads, lives, and shows up for others. At the center of it all is one belief: vulnerability isn't weakness — it's a superpower. We talk about:The difference between who people think you are vs. who you really areWhy sharing your story helps others feel less aloneFinding your voice — even when it's uncomfortableWhat it means to be one of the only women in the room — and who you're really speaking forRedefining leadership and workplace culture for womenRediscovering yourself after life changes everythingThis conversation is honest, real, and deeply relatable — a reminder that strength doesn't always look like having it all together.Sometimes, it looks like showing up anyway.

Coaching U Podcast with Coach Brendan Suhr presented by Hudl & Hudl Assist
In this episode, Coach Brendan Suhr is joined by longtime basketball coach and analyst Fran Fraschilla for a deep dive into the NCAA tournament and the upcoming Final Four. Fran brings his unique insight & perspective as he reflects on everything from the strength of the Big 12 to how injuries reshaped the national landscape late in the season, and how the modern game—impacted by NIL and the transfer portal—has shifted the tournament, creating fewer Cinderella runs but often delivering higher-level matchups deeper into March. The two spend time breaking down key teams and coaches still standing, including the discipline of Kelvin Sampson's Houston program, the offensive creativity of Tommy Lloyd's Arizona team, and the evolution of coaches like Brad Underwood, and Dusty May. Fran highlights how today's best programs blend NBA-level concepts with international influence, emphasizing spacing, skill, decision-making, and elite execution—something the best teams consistently do in high-pressure moments. Beyond the X's and O's, the episode turns into a masterclass on coaching growth as Fran and Brendan discuss how elite coaches study the game. All that and more on episode 326 of the Coaching U Podcast presented by Noah Basketball.Noah Basketball is trusted by 28 NBA teams, over 200 NCAA programs, and over 1,000 high school programs to capture and analyze key shooting metrics to help your players perfect their shot and reach their max potential.Learn more at noahbasketball.com
