Nearly unknown to the greater climbing world, Hamish McArthur walked on the mats at the Paris Olympics the epitome of an underdog. He wasn't sure he even wanted to be there. When the dust settled, he'd placed fifth, ahead of legends and rising stars. Since then, Hamish upended the climbing world by casually dispatching the world's hardest boulder problems in lightning speed. How'd he do it? The solution was inside his mind.  Watch Climbing Gold on YouTube Thanks to our sponsors The North Face Check out Summit Series at thenorthface.com  Waking Up Try Waking Up for 30 days free by going to wakingup.com/honnold LMNT  Get your free LMNT Sample Pack with any purchase at www.drinklmnt.com/climbinggold. The Scripture, in my view, opposes his opening remarks. But the fascinating thing is how he comes back around to personal choices to live with love, humility, obedience, and perseverance. This can be a good starting place when talking with Calvinist friends.MacArthur: If I could lose my salvation?I would.Right? If I could, I would, because I don't have the power to hold it.How can we have assurance that we are saved?Well, you can eliminate one thing for certain that can take your assurance, and that is the idea that you could lose your salvation. That's a lot.Salvation is forever.Salvation is eternal. There's nothing that can separate you from the love of Christ.Jesus said in John 6, the gift of you will come to me, and I will lose none of them, but raise them at the last day.Salvation is forever. So if you are saved, it's forever. That faith cannot fail because that faith is not your faith, that's a gift of God who's given it to you if hes to .So you eliminate that if you get your theology, right, that salvation is forever. So all you want to know is, is my salvation forever. And here's how you know.I think there are three tests and then a forthcoming.Test number one is, what do you love? What do you love?If any man is in Christ, he's a new creation, old things pass away, new things come. What are these new things?I like to think of them as new affections. So the first mark of a believer. It's not perfect, but it's evident love. What do you love? You love the Lord? You love His Word. You, you don't love him like you should, and he used to be increased. You don't love the word like you should, but you love those things. You love the people of God.You want to be with his people, you want to be in the church, you want to be a part of the worshiping group. So, love is the first evidence of a transformed heart. The second one is humility. There's a sense in which you are aware of your sinfulness, and you never really get over this incredible grace that's been given to you to save you.The third one is obedience. It's not perfect obedience, but it's a longing in your heart to obey the Lord. You do acknowledge him as Lord.Do you want to obey.So love, humility, and obedience. And then the fourth thing is this, it's trials, it's what can your faith survive? You know, people who say, well, I believe in the Lord, and something goes wrong in their life, and they walk out.Well, that's not a saving faith. That's not a faith that's a gift from God , because that lasts.

Interview with Philip Williams, Director & CEO of IsoEnergy Ltd.Our previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/the-next-uranium-supercycle-energy-fuels-isoenergy-on-geopolitics-mills-and-market-gaps-7209Recording date: 4th September 2025IsoEnergy presents a compelling investment opportunity in the uranium sector through its strategically diversified portfolio approach at a time when supply-demand fundamentals are increasingly favorable. The company operates across three premier uranium jurisdictions—Canada, the United States, and Australia—with assets spanning the development spectrum from early-stage exploration to near-term production capability. The Hurricane deposit in Saskatchewan's Athabasca Basin represents IsoEnergy's crown jewel asset, featuring some of the highest uranium grades globally in the world's premier uranium jurisdiction. CEO Philip Williams characterizes Hurricane as a generational asset that will become increasingly valuable as existing mines approach depletion. Cigar Lake, a major producing mine, faces ore exhaustion by 2035, creating what Williams describes as an appreciating asset scenario where every day that goes by, it increases in value. The company's financial strength distinguishes it from capital-constrained competitors. With $85 million in cash and strategic backing from NextGen Energy, which owns 31% of IsoEnergy and contributed $12 million to a recent $50 million financing, the company can optimize development timing rather than rushing to production. This financial flexibility has become increasingly important as the industry faces execution challenges, with multiple uranium companies issuing negative production guidance throughout 2025.Williams observes a fundamental shift in uranium demand dynamics, noting the presence of technology companies like Microsoft at the 2025 World Nuclear Association Symposium actively seeking nuclear power for data centers. This demand evolution coincides with artificial intelligence and cloud computing infrastructure expansion requiring reliable baseload power generation, representing a paradigm shift beyond traditional utility demand. The supply side presents compelling fundamentals despite execution challenges across the industry. Williams argues that the actual real price of getting that marginal pound of production out of the ground is much higher than anyone thinks, suggesting current uranium prices fail to reflect true production economics. Cameco's recent guidance reduction for its McArthur asset exemplifies broader industry production disappointments that have yet to drive appropriate price discovery.IsoEnergy's near-term production optionality comes through the Tony M project in Utah, where the company plans bulk sampling to extract 10,000 to 20,000 pounds of uranium—the first mining activity in nearly 15 years. The company's strategic partnership model multiplies uranium exposure beyond direct asset ownership. IsoEnergy maintains equity positions worth approximately $40 million across six to seven uranium juniors, creating what Williams describes as "lots of shots on goal." The Pure Point joint venture exemplifies this strategy, with the partnership's summer discovery of over 5% uranium grades validating the approach.IsoEnergy's portfolio construction addresses multiple investor preferences across the uranium value chain. Williams notes the company can offer near-term cash flow, high value exploration in the best place in the world, and call optionality with large or high-grade projects. This diversification provides multiple pathways to value creation while mitigating the single-asset risks that have challenged other uranium developers. The combination of world-class assets, strong financial positioning, strategic partnerships, and experienced management positions IsoEnergy to capitalize on the emerging uranium supply-demand imbalance while avoiding the execution risks that have affected competitors.View IsoEnergy's company profile: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/isoenergySign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

Earlier this month, Angela's Shadow won two awards – for best screenwriting and best production design – at the 2025 Leo Awards. It was the latest in a string of successes for the film, which won the Panorama Audience Award at the 2024 Vancouver International Film Festival, kicks off a theatrical run in Toronto this weekend, and is acclaimed Cree filmmaker Dr. Jules Arita Koostachin's highly anticipated follow-up to the similarly lauded Broken Angel. In Angela's Shadow, Angela (played by Sera-Lys McArthur) and Henry (Matthew Kevin Anderson), young 1930s socialites with a baby on the way, embark on a short trip north to visit Angela's beloved childhood nanny, Mary (Renae Morriseau). When Angela is harassed by a menacing shadow figure, Mary moves to bless and protect her and her unborn child with illegal Cree ceremonies and medicine. As the truth about her ancestry and the spectral figure's identity unfold, Angela must decide whether to delve into her newfound spiritual traditions in order to protect herself from her husband's escalating purity-obsessed racism. Angela's Shadow is the second film in a trilogy that follows three sets of Cree characters all connected to each other in some way, across three different time periods, who use their connections to their Cree spiritual traditions to combat and heal from settler colonialism. The first film – the aforementioned dramatic thriller entitled Broken Angel – won Sera-Lys the award for Best Actress at the 2022 American Indian Film Festival. In this compelling conversation with Sabrina Rani Furminger, Jules and Sera-Lys talk about healing from settler colonialism through art, working with family (three of Jules' sons and her mom all appear in the film), being pregnant IRL shortly after being pregnant onscreen, and where they're going to take us next.Episode sponsor: Directors Guild Of Canada, BC District Council

In this episode, CancerNetwork® spoke with breast oncologists Heather McArthur, MD; Erika Hamilton, MD; Hope Rugo, MD; and Paolo Tarantino, MD, PhD, about advances in breast cancer. These developments included recent drug approvals and ongoing research for therapeutic approaches, particularly in the areas of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) and CDK4/6 inhibitors, based on presentations they gave at the 25th Annual International Congress on the Future of Breast Cancer (IBC) East in New York City. Initially, McArthur, Komen Distinguished Chair in Clinical Breast Cancer Research at the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center, discussed immunotherapy use in high-risk triple-negative and HER2-positive disease, the evolving role of adjuvant CDK4/6 inhibition in HER2-negative breast cancer, and potentially transformative advancements in early breast cancer treatment.  She highlighted the FDA approval for pembrolizumab (Keytruda) in early-stage triple-negative breast cancer, promising clinical trials in estrogen receptor (ER)–positive high-risk early-stage breast cancer, and data from an investigator-initiated trial to treat HER2-positive disease. Additionally, she highlighted an 8.5% improvement in pathological complete response with pembrolizumab added to immunotherapy in the phase 3 KEYNOTE-756 trial (NCT03725059), adding that a further event-free survival benefit may complicate the landscape for CDK4/6 inhibition based on lung and liver toxicities associated with the coadministration of these inhibitors with immunotherapy.1 McArthur expressed further excitement for ADC-based combinations for triple-negative disease, as well as in the high-risk residual disease setting. In addition, she highlighted potential advancements in de-escalation strategies and further considerations for ADCs in the HER2-positive and hormone receptor (HR)–positive spaces. Then, Hamilton, director of Breast Cancer and Gynecologic Cancer Research at the Sarah Cannon Research Institute, highlighted emerging therapies for early breast cancer, as well as her use of datopotamab deruxtecan-dlnk (dato-DXd; Datroway) and fam-trastuzumab deruxtecan-nxki (T-DXd; Enhertu) given their recent approvals in various breast cancer subtypes. She also touched upon challenges with respect to the implementation of new therapies for early breast cancer into clinical practice. She initially highlighted new data from the phase 3 VERITAC-2 trial (NCT05654623) presented at the 2025 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting.2 Specifically, findings showed that vepdegestrant, an oral proteolysis-targeting chimera (PROTAC), exhibited an efficacy advantage over fulvestrant (Faslodex) in patients with ESR1-mutant ER-positive, HER2-negative advanced or metastatic disease. Moreover, she highlighted data from the phase 3 DESTINY-Breast09 (NCT04784715) of T-DXd in various combinations for patients with HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer.3 Hamilton further highlighted her implementation of T-DXd into clinical practice, citing her use of the agent in patients with metastatic disease, including those with HER2-low and HER2-ultralow breast cancer. She further differentiated dato-DXd from T-DXd, suggesting that they were different classes of drugs due to their different targets: TROP2 vs HER2. She concluded by highlighting an unmet need regarding sustained benefit from endocrine therapy in HR-positive disease, as well as for ADC sequencing and mechanisms of resistance. Afterward, Rugo, division chief of Breast Medical Oncology, Women's Cancer Program Director, and professor in the Department of Medical Oncology and Therapeutics Research at City of Hope, discussed efficacy and safety considerations for CDK4/6 inhibitors in early breast cancer treatment. Specifically, she highlighted their high tolerability despite adverse effects and costs associated with their use. Rugo further touched upon a reduction of recurrence rates associated with CDK4/6 inhibition, although longer-term follow-up data were warranted to optimize the duration of therapy and elucidate survival outcomes. Finally, Tarantino, a research fellow at the Dana-Farber Institute, concluded by discussing sequencing strategies for ADCs, as well as which breast cancer settings or patient populations will experience the greatest impact with this treatment modality. Tarantino discussed his use of the “sandwich strategy,” where he switches the mechanism of action of treatment after using a TOPO1 ADC. Furthermore, Tarantino highlighted data from the DESTINY-Breast09 and phase 3 ASCENT-04 (NCT06100874) trials, which displayed the enhanced efficacy of 2 ADC combination therapies.4 He concluded by discussing future considerations for combining multiple ADCs. Episode #359: “The real motivating force is people, it is those human relations.” Duncan McArthur, a backpacker turned decades-long humanitarian leader, found his truth not in textbooks, but in the raw, unfiltered experiences along the Thai-Burma border. His journey began as an English teacher in a Karen refugee camp, where he was inspired by the resilience and humility of the communities he worked with in the face of unimaginable suffering. Motivated to stay on the border and continue working there, McArthur soon joined The Border Consortium in 2003, a charity organization that exposed him to the complexities and frustrations of the humanitarian aid architecture. He has observed how the transition-era ‘peace industry,' as he calls it, often prioritized formal ceasefire agreements over addressing the root causes of conflict, leading to an influx of international aid workers who at times seemed more interested in career advancement than genuine impact. He also challenges the traditional notion of neutrality, advocating for Hugo Slim's practice of “humanitarian resistance” where, in certain contexts, “choosing sides is actually essential in order to reduce suffering.” In Myanmar, this might mean working with ethnic armed organizations and civil society in Myanmar to reach the most vulnerable, who live beyond the military's reach. McArthur also acknowledges the shortcomings of the UN's presence in Myanmar, which he sees as a lack of political leadership and a reluctance to directly confront the military junta. While appreciating the institution's aspirational goals, he urges a more proactive stance, including exploring satellite offices or parallel systems in neighboring countries to support sub-national authorities. McArthur's perspective is one of grounded idealism: recognizing the inherent self-interests of all actors, but seeking to align them with the greater good. “The challenge is as much as it is for negotiating access and delivering aid,” he reflects, “but also about how to strengthen the platforms that raise the voices of the oppressed and the marginalized to a meaningful level.”

RIOTS IN NORTHERN IRELAND BECOME MORE KINETIC.// -----BEGIN TEARLINE------International Events-Middle East: Indications and warnings are growing regarding an unknown threat to the United States throughout the region. Reports have emerged indicating that the US Navy base in Bahrain is at an increased defensive posture, and that non-essential staffers and their families are currently being evacuated from the American Embassies in Baghdad, Kuwait, and Bahrain. A few moments ago the UKMTO office also issued a very vague warning statement, advising mariners to be advised of increasing tensions through the Strait of Hormuz.AC: At the moment, none of this is confirmed, but the rumors are trickling out anyway, since this appears to be a very time-sensitive threat, whatever it is. Nobody knows what's going on for sure, but a lot of diplomatic stations and military bases are at an increased level of readiness right now, which looks to be related to a very specific threat of some kind. Shooting from the hip (without any solid detail to go on), this could be related to an imminent Iranian nuclear test, or it could be related to Israel launching pre-emptive strikes to prevent such. Either way, the threat is extremely vague, but the heightened readiness seems real enough.Northern Ireland: Protests transitioned into rioting throughout several cities overnight, from a few different perspectives. Originally, riots broke out over the weekend in response to immigration issues and the assault of a child. However, as unrest has spread, opportunistic criminals have taken advantage of the fray to conduct looting that was unrelated to the initial incident.-HomeFront-USA: Counter-ICE protests have emerged in several major cities around the nation. So far, most of the more disruptive events have taken place in Los Angeles, Dallas, Austin, Seattle, Chicago, Atlanta, NYC, Providence, and Denver.Ohio: This morning evacuations were ordered for Vinton County after an industrial accident occurred at a local explosives factory in McArthur. Local authorities state that a very large tank of nitric acid began leaking at Austin Powders this morning, prompting the creation of a substantially large evacuation zone. The FAA has also placed a 30-mile Temporary Flight Restriction over the facility as the contents of the tank continue to present a hazard to the general area.-----END TEARLINE-----Analyst Comments: Last night the city of Los Angeles implemented a curfew for the city center, in an attempt to quell the rioting. Mass arrests were made in the DTLA area, however a state of civil unrest remains as demonstrations and protests have remained fairly persistent over the past week.Regarding the protest events for this weekend nationwide, roughly 1,655 events are scheduled for June 14th, most of which are being conducted and organized by the "No Kings" cause. Of course, it is highly likely that not all of these 1,600+ events will take place. However, there is always the possibility that areas which have no history of political unrest may be the recipient of general shenanigans this weekend.Analyst: S2A1Research: https://publish.obsidian.md/s2underground//END REPORT//

McArthur Krishna graduated from BYU with both an undergraduate and masters degree. She co-owned an award-winning ideas marketing firm for a decade until she retired, got married, and moved to India. With church a plane ride away, she started spending home church time researching and writing children's books. Over years she has written 19 books, six co-authored with Bethany Brady Spalding at Deseret Book including A Girl's Guide to Heavenly Mother and A Boy's Guide to Heavenly Mother. Along the way she has coordinated some of the first art featuring women to be hung in the LDS Conference Center (Kathleen Peterson's art from the Girls Who Choose God series), commissioned and curated the first art show focused on Heavenly Mother with artists from around the world, and her own art was selected for the Church's International Art competition. The art (by Caitlin Connelly) from their book “Our Heavenly Family, our Earthly Families” was the first art portraying Heavenly Mother published at Deseret Book. After its release, the LDS church purchased a 12'x8' piece for their permanent collection— and it currently hangs at the Church History Museum on Temple Square. The  L. Tom Perry Special Collection at BYU Library has asked for her manuscripts, photos, and life journals so that her seminal work on elevating women can be available to posterity.McArthur believes that unflinching hope, a lot of hours working with friends, and wifi can change the world… bottomless guacamole helps too. With Mother's Day coming up, we're so honored to bring you this conversation with McArthur Krishna about her new book, Mother in Heaven: A Gospel Topics Essay Study Guide. The doctrine of Heavenly Mother is one of the most beautiful and distinctive Latter-Day Saint teachings—but for many, it's still unfamiliar territory. McArthur and her co-authors created this study guide as an invitation to engage with this doctrine more deeply. Drawing on the church's Gospel Topics essay, the book explores each point through art, rich personal reflections, and theological insights with contributions from many people whose names you may recognize- Patrick and Melissa Mason, Tom Christofferson, and Bethany Brady Spalding to name a few. What emerges is a beautiful tapestry of reverence, curiosity, and lived faith. In this conversation, we explore how the simple truth that we are “beloved spirit children of Heavenly Parents” carries profound implications for how we understand the nature of God. It suggests that divinity isn't solitary or hierarchical—it's relational, that we're not subjects of a distant king but members of a divine family. And that shift transforms the way we see God, one another, and ourselves.McArthur highlights how essential it is for women to have a divine role model and that becoming like Her means learning to use our agency with wisdom and courage. It means aligning with God, trusting the revelation we receive, and standing by it—even when it's hard. As McArthur puts it, “sovereignty is how we begin to practice godhood.”We hope that as you celebrate Mother's Day this year, this conversation invites you to remember and honor our Heavenly Mother and embrace the truth that we are Her daughters and sons too, born with the divine potential to become like Her.We're so grateful to McArthur for her courage, vision, and voice. And with that, here's our conversation with McArthur Krishna.https://bookshop.org/a/108982/9781734228724https://amzn.to/3RG0USG

The Dedication to the Mother in Heaven Study Guide reads:This book is the culmination of a journey spanning four years, three strangers who are now dear friends, and countless hours with Google Docs and chocolate to create three books honoring and celebrating our Mother in Heaven. We are changed. We each arrived at the doctrine of Heavenly Mother's existence at different times and from different angles, but we have been led to the same conclusion:We know She lives. We know She loves all of Her children. We know She is a full partner to our Father in Heaven and works with Him and our brother Jesus Christ to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of all humankind. This book is dedicated to all seekers of the Divine Feminine, of our Mother.~ Ashli, Trina, and McArthurIn this podcast episode, Meg interviews Ashli, Trina, and McArthur on the impetus for and process of creating this Study Guide. They discuss the concern that has been brought up of whether including Heavenly Mother in our worship detracts from Jesus Christ, how celebrating the doctrine of Heavenly Mother can change our interactions and change the world, and the joy that can come by implementing the cherished knowledge that we have a Mother Goddess.

This week, we're really excited to share a conversation about a brand-new Children's book called Changemakers by McArthur Krishna and Anne Pimentel, with beautiful artwork by Jessica Sarah Beach. The book is a powerful and much-needed affirmation, especially in a moment when many women are quietly wondering where they fit. Through stories from scripture and the global history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, it highlights women whose ideas, faith, and courage have helped shape the church in meaningful and lasting ways. Accessible to children, beautiful to look at and meaningful for readers of all ages.Today, we're joined by McArthur and Anne to explore some of these incredible stories. Both women are remarkable in their own right—McArthur is the author of several books, including A Girl's Guide to Heavenly Mother and the Girls Who Choose God series. Anne is a founder of Meetinghouse Mosaic, an organization working to diversify Christian art and amplify voices that sometimes go unheard in our faith community. In this conversation, we explore what it means to be a changemaker in a church that values both institutional authority and ongoing revelation. We talked about the tension many women are feeling right now—and how pain can become a catalyst for meaningful, needed transformation, and what true partnership between men and women might look like in that process.McArthur and Anne remind us again and again that revelation doesn't always start at the top—so often, it often rises from the margins, born of questions, connection, and listening with love.We hope this conversation inspires you to trust your gifts, to share your voice, and to believe, deeply, that your contributions matter. And with that, here's our conversation with McArthur Krishna and Anne Pimentel.

“Wouldn't it be a good idea to have a book about girls who ask great questions?” This question from a 9-year-old inspired authors McArthur Krishna and Anne Pimentel to create their book Changemakers: Women Who Boldly Built Zion. By highlighting women's stories, the book affirms our roles in building, growing, and sustaining the Church—influencing organization, policy, and culture. In Episode 214, Cynthia and Susan are joined by the authors for a conversation about specific ways women's voices have mattered historically, and how we might continue to influence and effect change today and in the future.
