Talking Through Damage From the Inside For this episode 74 of Fear the Walking Dead Talk Through, LT, Kyle and Brian talk through the Mid-Season Finale Damage From the Inside. Fear the Walking Dead Season 6 Episode 7 was written by Jacob Pinion and directed by Tawnia McKiernan. We also discuss a little bit about World Beyond Episode 8 titled The Sky Is a Graveyard. A Taxidermy Nightmare… well, not really. So we get from the start Dakota is being escorted to safety by Strand and his Rangers with one of them looking like Virginia’s Doppelgänger. We don’t know if that was on purpose, or if maybe this actor is Colby Minifie’s stunt double. But in any case, something happens and Strand and Ranger Samuels are pulled away only to come back and everyone is dead and Dakota is missing. Cue, Alicia and Charlie who are just sitting on some outpost and Strand calling for them to help find the missing girl. Then things get strange but visually was fun to see. The creepy hunting lodge, stuffed animals, and a creepy lone survivor who likes to play dress-up with walkers as a way to keep the living away. This wasn’t the best episode this season and finally getting Alicia some screen time was a welcome sign but seemed a wasted opportunity by the showrunners. For a Mid-Season Finale is really lacked some punch and felt like more of a weak attempt at a B-Horror film. We did get to see Alicia finally reunite with Morgan which was a really great scene. Strand is still sticking to his conman ways and I guess we did get some sort of payoff with the whereabouts of Grace. In the end, with knowing that Covid interrupted their plans and the real Mid-Season finale wasn’t finished we just hope the back half, when it returns, pays off.  Send in your feedback! Please leave your feedback! We will be covering the two hour finale of The Walking Dead World Beyond in it’s entirety now that Fear is on hiatius but if you have feedback about Fear’s Mid-Season finale we will cover that too! Next time, we’ll cover feedback we get for the two hour finale of World Beyond S1E9 The Deepest Cut, and S1E10 In This Life. Get your feedback in by 6 PM Eastern/5 PM Central on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. One of the best ways to submit feedback is on our Facebook group. You can also send us an email at our new email: walkingdead@talkthroughmedia.com or call our new voicemail at 216-232-6146. Ratings are down Ratings for S6E7 Damage From the Inside were down from the last episode, S6E6 Bury Her Next to Jasper’s Leg. This week, Fear was able to get a 0.26 in the 18-49 demographic, with 1.085 million viewers. World Beyond S1E8 The Sky Is a Graveyard got a 0.15 in the 18-49 demographic with 627,000 thousand viewers. We had a Talking Dead after all this time and it got a 0.04 in the 18-49 with 254,000 thousand viewers. We could still use your help! This season, collecting the feedback has been challenging, and we could use your help. Our availability is limited for each of us on Tuesdays when the bulk of the feedback comes in. Dan & Paul discuss Ability Scores for D&D player characters across the editions — Options for how they’re generated, what modifiers they produces, what in-game effects they have, and different ways to make an ability check. Considering all the different methods, do you prefer straight-roll, drop-lowest, point-buy, or standard array? Does the best choice differ if you have experienced players vs. newcomers? Bell-shaped or linear check systems? And when should raw ability outweigh experience level? Wandering DMs Paul Siegel and Dan “Delta” Collins host thoughtful discussions on D&D and other TTRPGs every week. Comparing the pros and cons of every edition from the 1974 Original D&D little brown books to cutting-edge releases for 5E D&D today, we broadcast live on YouTube and Twitch so we can take viewer questions and comments on the topic of the day. What is one of the number fears most people experience? The fear of failure. This is the second book in a series focusing on failure, which is designed to accompany my initial book on failure; Failure Is Not The Problem, It’s The Beginning Of Your Success. I specifically wrote this workbook to help ease the pain of reading about failure. This workbook is intended as a read along with my initial book. The topic of failure is not a subject people tend to embrace without some coaching. Therefore, use the workbook as a personal guide to challenge you as you embark on what may be unfamiliar territory. George Milton has written a workbook which includes a 12 Step program structured on how to change your mindset regarding “FAILURE” From Negative to Positive. Following these steps, if obeyed with consistency can propel you to move from where you are to where you are meant to be. Tune for an inspiring conversation with George Milton and I as we talk about success on Saturday, November 21st at 2 PM Eastern time. You can call in at 646-668-8485 and press 1 to be live on air. Talking Through Bury Her Next to Jasper’s Leg For this episode 73 of Fear the Walking Dead Talk Through, LT, Kyle and Brian talk through Bury Her Next to Jasper’s Leg. Fear the Walking Dead Season 6 Episode 6 was written by Alex Delyle and directed by Sharat Raju. We also discuss a little bit about World Beyond Episode 7 titled Truth or Dare. June you had your chance and you didn’t take it! AARGH! Wow, in the episode it looked like the tides would turn for our group but kind of was surprised on June’s decision. I’m not sure if it was a power move or a stupid one and seemed to put a wedge between her and John in the end. We are reunited with Luciana and while its good to see her alive and working Tank Town but the apparent sabotage by The End is the Beginning people really looks like a death throw to Ginny and the rest of the settlements. No Oil, No Life! I can only imaging this is going to make everyone’s relationship on both sides more tense. This season so far has been getting better and better so I just hope that continues. Send in your feedback! Please leave your feedback! We will be covering Fear The Walking Dead in it’s entirety but if you have feedback about the Spinoff World Beyond we will cover that too, but the main focus will be with Fear! Next time, we’ll cover feedback we get for the mid-season finale S6E7 Damage from the Inside, and then briefly talk through any feedback for The Walking Dead: World Beyond S1E8, titled The Sky is a Graveyard. Get your feedback in by 6 PM Eastern/5 PM Central on Tuesday, November 24, 2020. One of the best ways to submit feedback is on our Facebook group. You can also send us an email at our new email: walkingdead@talkthroughmedia.com or call our new voicemail at 216-232-6146. This week, Fear was able to get a 0.32 in the 18-49 demographic, with 1.27 million viewers, up in the viewers this time but down demo from 0.35 and 1.244 million viewers. World Beyond S1E7 Truth or Dare got a 0.20 in the 18-49 demographic with 783,000 thousand viewers, up from 0.21 and 726,000 thousand viewers last week. We could still use your help! This season, collecting the feedback has been challenging, and we could use your help. Our availability is limited for each of us on Tuesdays when the bulk of the feedback comes in. Paul and Dan discuss running City Adventures in D&D and other RPGs. So many different mechanics have been tried over the years. What do the original texts say about cities — or did they leave them entirely off-screen? What’s the best way to map out a city: by individual buildings, streets, districts, or leave it theater-of-the mind? How can you run a chase scene in a city: use the street-level map, or keep it more abstract? Lessons from various books, modules, and other games: Warhammer, Call of Cthulhu, Top Secret, and more. How To Operate And Start A Goat Vegetation Management Business | Bonus Episode With Roy Austin Of Goat Central

SHOW NOTES In this week's bonus episode I am revisiting episode #195.  On this episode I was able to go "into the field" and interview Roy Austin, the owner of Goat Central, on location while we watched his Spanish goats do their work for a client.  I hope you enjoy getting his perspective on a goat grazing business. KEY IDEAS:  Roy Austin of Goat Central left his life in the heavily populated Bay Area of California for the Gold Country of the Sierra Nevada foothills about sixteen years ago.  He has always been an entrepreneur, but when he and his wife bought property near Shingle Springs, California he was introduced to goats. Roy had very high chaparral brush on his property, and it was an extreme fire danger.  After paying over $2,000/acre to have the brush bulldozed for later burning he realized this was going to be a very expensive proposition that would have be repeated about every three years.  This led him to look for an alternative and he found Kiko goats. Roy quickly started discovering the many positive benefits of browsing weeds and fire prone areas with goats.  He also noticed the benefits to the vegetation and land after goats had been on it.  This led him to start renting out his goats for weed control and fire suppression. Roy is now fully engaged in contract browsing with his goats for private individuals, corporations and government entities.  He specializes in areas where the use of mechanical equipment or chemicals are not allowed to be used.  Roy states that in his region the use of goats is cheaper than using hand crews but more expensive than mowing for weeds.  So, he has a niche in the market that he fills, and he obviously loves his goats. Roy has had articles published about his business such as the one featured here: link ADVICE FROM ROY: Be On Site As Much As Possible Keep Fences Tight Keep The Voltage High As Possible On Your Fences Price Correctly So You Can Remain In Business PERSONAL HABIT THAT MAKES ROY SUCCESSFUL: Keeping A Positive Attitude Do Something That You Enjoy BEST BUSINESS ADVICE EVER GIVEN TO ROY: Don't Give Up: Roy says that you always have to keep trying CONTACT INFORMATION AND LINKS: Roy's Website: http://www.goatcentral.com  Email Address: kiko@goatcentral.com Facebook Page: LINK Telephone For Roy: 530-621-2920 LISTEN TO US ON SATELLITE RADIO! SHOW NOTES INTRODUCING COLE KETTERLING:  I am very proud to feature the 2020 American Star Farmer in today's interview.  Cole Ketterling and I did this interview prior to the National Convention, and he was later named as the American Star Farmer.  It is easy to tell why he was selected. Cole is from North Dakota, and he is truly on his way to a full-time career as a farmer.  He just graduated from North Dakota State University.  However, he started building his farming enterprise even before high school.  Today Cole has as a herd of 65 cows and he is farming just over 1,000 acres.  What is so amazing is that he has already bought 200 acres for himself and is well on his way. Cole is involved in every aspect of farming from row crops to animal feed to livestock production.  And he was very active in his FFA chapter during high school.  Ultimately he became the president of his chapter.  He is looking forward to a career in agriculture and farming, and you are going to be truly impressed with this young man. SUPERVISED AGRICULTURAL EXPERIENCE: Crop and Livestock Production HIGH SCHOOL: Wishek Public School, North Dakota MASCOT: Badgers FFA ADVISOR: Rocky Brown CONTACT INFORMATION FOR COLE KETTERLING: Click on the picture below to be taken to the Wishek Public School Website: Cole's FFA Advisor's Email Address: Rocky.J.Brown@sendit.nodak.edu Wishek Public School Telephone Number: (701) 452-2995 FFA LINKS: National FFA Organization Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAE's) Support FFA  Donate to FFA - One way that FFA students are able to start small businesses is through an FFA grant of $1,000.  In 2014, 141 FFA students received these grants.  With your donations, more students can get this head start - pay it forward. REASONS TO DONATE TO FFA: Only 2% of Americans grow and raise most of the food and livestock consumed by the other 98% as well as the rest of the world.  FFA is providing the needed education, training and resources to Americans that will carry that torch forward and insure that America continues to have inexpensive, quality food. Rural Communities will rely on entrepreneurship in the future for population growth and job creation.  The FFA is a major catalyst to that entrepreneurial growth. Farmers, ranchers and those working in agriculture give the rest of America incredible amounts of freedom because the search for food is as simple as going to the grocery store: "Because American farmers are able to provide for so many of us, they give more and more of us the freedom to pursue goals and livelihoods beyond growing the food we need to survive." Talking Through The Key For this episode 71 of Fear the Walking Dead Talk Through, LT, Kyle and Brian talk through The Key. Fear the Walking Dead Season 6 Episode 4 was written by David Johnson and directed by Ron Underwood. We also discuss a little bit about World Beyond Episode 5 titled The Madman Across the Water. We had some issues this week when trying to record and Kyle couldn’t make it due to work and other issues so everyone recorded their own parts and Kyle edited together so it’s a little different but in the end it worked out fine. BRIAN’S NOTE: Actually, everything did NOT work out fine. Most of my segments were left out of the recording this week, due to a lack some confusion as far as how many segments I had recorded, although a few of them were read by Kyle. I had recorded a segment for each segment we have in the episode. My rating was 9.4/10, which I believe was one of the things left off. I’ll have to go back and update this after I do. John Dorie gets pushed to the limits! In this episode, John Dorie seems to be adjusting to this new Ginny controlled world and top cop of Lawton. That all changes with the murder of another citizen of Lawton and Sherif John is on the case. But we are not in a right vs wrong kind of world and in the end, Ginny is the one who calls the shots. This pushes him to his limits and we see again that there is no justice in the ZA. Morgan is looking for Grace and has Rufus the bloodhound on his side but he gets derailed by those two tagger boys. This does finally clarify that whatever that Key that Morgan has is going to be something important but to whom? Again, Fear the Walking Dead just keeps getting better and better and there is still so much more to come. Send in your feedback! Please leave your feedback! We will be covering Fear The Walking Dead in it’s entirety but if you have feedback about the Spinoff World Beyond we will cover that too, but the main focus will be with Fear! Join the invasion at http://celticinvasion.com/ 4:07 - ABOUT WILD COLONIAL BOY John “Jack” Donahue was born in 1806. Died on 1 September 1840. He was a bushranger in Australia between 1825 and 1830. Known as "Bold Jack Donahue", he became part of the notorious "Wild Colonial Boys". Jack Donahue was born in Dublin, Ireland about 1806. He was an orphan. He began pick-pocketing and, after later involvement in a burglary, was convicted of intent to commit a felony in 1823. In September 1824, he was transported with 200 other prisoners to Australia, arriving in Sydney in January 1825. Donahue escaped to the bush from the Quakers Hill farm and formed an outlaw gang known as "The Strippers," since they stripped wealthy landowners of their clothing, money and food. The gang was arrested two years later. Donohue managed to escape from custody. In March 1829, Donahue, along with John Walmsle, shot and killed a Mr Clements, a settler on the Hunter River. This became the "Wild Colonial Boys", a loose gang of twelve to fifteen men. Donohue's cunning and guile soon had him on equal standing as the leaders of this gang of Underwood and MacNamara. These two had the reputation for wily pluck, daring and desperation. The gang would operate in groups of three or four in order to bail up settlers and plunder property. They laid in wait for travellers on the highway or they would attack and plunder their houses. Donohue's tact and ways of only robbing the better off procured him a host of friends among the poorer settlers. They gave the police false information about him and, when they were dogging him rather too hard, the settlers stowed him away in their back rooms or under the beds. In the late afternoon of 1 September 1830, Donohue was shot dead by John Muckleston, following a shootout between bushrangers and soldiers at Bringelly, New South Wales. Donohue was hit in the left temple and neck and died instantly. The Sydney Gazette, on behalf of "all respectable citizens", rejoiced at Donohue's death. Smoking pipes were made in the shape of Donohue's head, including the bullet-holes in his forehead, and were bought and smoked by the citizens of Sydney. In 1833, Donohue's life was recounted in Charles Harpur's play 'The Tragedy of Donohoe'. Harpur had been inspired to write his play after the April 1829 shooting of a settler on the Hunter River by two bushrangers. Harpur had been sixteen at the time and believed that Donohue was one of the bushrangers. Donohue was immortalised in the ballad 'The Wild Colonial Boy'. Authorities tried to ban the song, but failed. Instead it became a ballad of defiance, continuing to be sung by generations of Australians and becoming part of Australia's folklore. With time, the lyrics changed Donohue's name to Jack Doolan, Jack Dowling, Jack Doogan and even Jim Doolan. The ethos line that struck a chord was "'I'll fight but not surrender till I die', cried the Wild Colonial Boy." Find out more about the song on Wikipedia. 7:24 - SONG: “Wild Colonial Boy” (new single) from St Patrick’s Day 11:08 - CELTIC GEEK SPOTLIGHT I wanted to try something a little bit different today--a Celtic Geek spotlight. This is where I highlight a Celtic or Geek band or artist with something relevant to our community. Over the past couple months, I released new hobbit singles with my friend Sam Gillogly. Our first single, “Hobbit Hornpipe”, was added to a Hobbit Party playlist by none other than The Gothard Sisters. The Gothard Sisters are a Celtic band featuring three sisters from the Pacific Northwest. They have had a long history with me thanks to the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast. They were first played in 2010 for episode number #81. I enjoyed the music a lot back then. But over the past 10 years, I’ve seen them put out better and better albums and improve as musicians, performers, and composers. So today I want to get a quick glimpse into the band and how and why they put together this Hobbit Party Playlist. I wanna to give a big, warm welcome to The Gothard Sisters. Welcome. Can you tell me a little bit about yourselves and how you got started playing music? Not saying that my daughter tortures me but.... To answer your question about being different: I think your light spirited nature, the fact that you are active with your followers (which caught me during gencon) and just replying to mails from fans is a definitely super good thing.  In contrast I am also an avid reader (worked 11years in bookstore) and right now lit-rpg is my favourite. There is one author who actually writes ok, but me and many other avoid his works because of his behaviour (he is "the best and those who do not agree with him will get trolled by him...") The way to get new fans is to play along with them. So that is something that really calls out to me at least. Keep up the good work" Alex emailed: "I really enjoyed the rough version of the wreck of the bold lady jean. It was fast, rough, and conveyed the excitement of a ship trying to survive an encounter with a dragon. I know faster times are harder to pull together unless it’s rock or heavy metal but could it be possible this song can be done fast and furious?"

Talking Through Alaska For this episode 70 of Fear the Walking Dead Talk Through, LT, Kyle and Brian talk through Alaska. Fear the Walking Dead Season 6 Episode 3 was written by Mallory Westfall, and directorial return of Colman Domingo. We also discuss a little bit about World Beyond Episode 4 titled The Wrong End of a Telescope. AL and Dwight go for a walk and find love! In this episode, we are paired with Al and Dwight on one of Ginny’s errands roaming around who knows where to document the fall of civilization. Not that we don’t already know that most didn’t survive, but I guess that doesn’t stop Ginny’s giving out some ZA busy work. This was a good episode focused on Al and Dwight’s budding friendship and their struggles with this new reality that our group has been in since the Ginny takeover. AL is still stalking Isabelle on the walkie that leads them to some office dwellers who seem to not have moved on outside of their workplace. In any case, we get some highs and lows but overall a really good character-driven episode, again. Fear is running on all cylinders and this is a great thing this season. Oh, and we get a surprise (well did we not already know this was going to happen, at some point?) at the end that I know for one, got me a little misty-eyed. Send in your feedback! Please leave your feedback! We will be covering Fear The Walking Dead in it’s entirety but if you have feedback about the Spinoff World Beyond we will cover that too, but the main focus will be with Fear! Next time, we’ll cover feedback we get for S6E4 The Key, and then briefly talk through any feedback for The Walking Dead: World Beyond S1E5, titled Madman Across the Water. New Deadline this week! Fear the Walking Dead Season 6 Episode 2 was written by Nazrin Choudhury, and directed by none other than Lennie James. We also discuss a little bit about World Beyond Episode 3 titled The Tyger and the Lamb. Strand and Alicia get put in a sticky situation! In this episode, we get Alicia and Strand and Ginny enacting some punishment for their defiance towards one of her Rangers. Only to be sent on a mission… well punishment… to clean out some sticky walkers from a warehouse that Ginny has some interest in. Dear old Charlie returns; Kyle still does not like her but it’s nice seeing some of the group being united after all this time. Daniel shows up cutting Ginny’s hair but after some pleas from Alicia and Strand, it would seem he’s suffered some mental damage at the hands of Ginny’s men. (Yeah Right!) It was a good episode and from the feedback, our listeners enjoyed it as much as we did, well mostly all our listeners. It’s nice seeing the show come back to elements of what we loved about this show from past seasons. Show us the characters we love and do it in a character-driven way. If you are available most Tuesdays that we have an episode to record and want to help the podcast out, please drop us a line, either using the feedback form, the Facebook group, or if you are friends with us on Facebook, over Messenger. We’ll work out something if you can. Subscribe and Support! Don’t forget that we have our Patreon at https://www.patreon.com/WalkingDeadTalkThrough! I have a press pass but need some help with the costs of getting and staying there. Please remember to subscribe to us on Apple Podcasts or whatever is your podcast client of choice. Subscribing to us helps us move up in the rankings, so it’ll help us out tremendously! You’ll also get new episodes when they’re released. And while you’re in there, leave us a rating or review! It only takes a few minutes and it also helps us out! And join our Facebook group! apple podcastsGoogle PodcastsStitcherPocketCastsRSS
