Midway Mob is a cultural movement originating in Fargo, ND. They are building this movement from the ground up, creating opportunities for bands and solo artists to perform in a place like Fargo. D supplies much of the financial support to Midway Mob, enabling those around him to take flight in their creative domains. He describes what it is like building himself from the ground up at the age of 19, turning his empire into something fruitful, and finally meeting up with his people who have the same creative vision. Carter is the head creative mind behind the project. He talks about his plans to produce music, create an original sound and capture the energy around him. Private Paul ist ein deutschsprachiger Untergrundrapper, der das Subgenre Emopunkrap begründet und geprägt hat. Unter dem Pseudonym KASH veröffentlicht er zeitweise auch musikalisch und textlich von dieser Bewegung abweichende Alben und EPs. 2014 gründete er das nach seinem Debutalbum benannte Label Emopunkrap (EPR), bei dem neben seiner Wenigkeit noch der Rapper Rotten Monkey unter Vertrag steht. Der Hamburger ist der Zwiespalt in Person: Einerseits ein resignierender, depressiver, introvertierter Einzelgänger, andererseits aber auch ein maß- und tabuloses Großmaul, dessen einziges Ziel der Konsum möglichst vieler Frauen und Drogen ist. Er verkörpert die Symbiose verschiedenster Einflüsse, aus denen sich eine eigenständige Musikrichtung entwickelt hat: Emo-Punk-Rap Von Freestyles im Kollegenkreis ging sein Weg schnell über erste eigene Beats und Texte in eine namhafte, mittlerweile aber größtenteils schwule Internet-Battlearena, wo er 2002 sein erstes Battle meisterlich in den Sand setzte. Aber der Grundstein war gelegt: Unter dem Namen KASH wurden etliche Battles bestritten, wobei auch schnell deutlich wurde, dass man von diesem Kerl keine Doubletime-Flex-Flows erwarten sollte. Vielmehr sind es Texte, Atmosphären und Wortspiele, denen er sich verschrieben hat. So entstand dann auch über lange Jahre sein Debutalbum Emopunkrap, welches nach Konzeptänderungen, Neuaufnahmen, und etlichen anderen Schwierigkeiten am 21.12.2010 erschienen ist. Trotz fehlender Labelunterstützung erfuhr das Album eine durchweg positive Resonanz und verbreitete sich innerhalb kurzer Zeit als Geheimtipp bei Freunden melancholischer, aber auch guter Musik. Durch seine entwaffnende Ehrlichkeit, stimmungsgeladene Instrumentalproduktionen und die Thematik, die die meisten Hörer wiedererkennen dürften, ist es zwar durchaus harter Tobak, hat aber ein vollkommen neues Subgenre erschaffen: Emopunkrap.
