Leon Zawada and Simon Rance were next door neighbours and grew up playing Doom and Quake, before deciding to make their own games. You can see that inspiration in their newest game Amid Evil, a retro styled magical shooter built with modern technology. If you like the speed of those nineties shooters, but with a contempory twist this could be the game for you. Amid Evil is now available on Steam, Humble Store and GOG. Microsoft and Google are both making their video game subscription package push, and they want players to shell out each and every month to keep playing. With streaming a huge part of Google's Stadia will that be a viable option in countries that don't have internet that's up to scratch? Puss hej!

E3 is here, and Jeff and Christian break down the first day (and before) of press conferences. Google's Stadia info, EA's live streams, Microsoft, and Bethesda all get discussed. All the big games of the show!
SDGC is joined by Game Informer's Imran Khan to talk about the newly revealed details behind Google's Stadia game streaming platform, and other gaming subjects in this last show before E3. Surprises all around with this episode!
Today's hosts are Doom and PedzWith E3 mere days away you can guess what the chat is about, right? Well, you'd be correct in thinking it's the Ghostbusters remaster. Pedz brings up the remaster and Doom asks things like what generation would Pedz buy a remastered game of. The discussion is about remasters in general in the end, not just Ghostbusters. You'd also be correct in thinking Doom and Pedz talk about the baffling decision Nintendo has made with regards to online friend play in Super Mario Maker 2. Truly bizarre and the reason, doesn't add up.After that that Pokémon is discussed (You guess that?) With the Pokemon Direct the day before this Episode was streamed. Doom disagrees with Pedz on the better-looking wolf, but surprisingly, people agree with Pedz (It's surprisingly cause Pedz is normally always wrong) and both are pretty impressed with how it's looking, also... Why Wolves? Red Squirrels, they'd get, Wolves? Not so much.Lastly, you, you guessed it, Google's Stadia. A mere couple of hours before the stream went live. Google had its own with some Stadia chat. Both hosts are interested, but there are concerns which Doom has more and the concerns are higher, while Pedz while having concerns feels that they could be levelled at Netflix and the like and yet people lap that up.Okay, okay. We do then jump into Pre-E3 chat, what we want, what we think we'll see, but the guys find it difficult with thinking of things due to the winding down of the current gen of consoles it's difficult to think of things you want over the next year when within 2 years we're all (maybe/probably/more than likely) getting our shiny new consoles. This episode is a doozy though and comes in at over 3 hours long. Hope everyone enjoys this as much as Doom and Pedz enjoy doing them!Don't forget, you can always tune in live to the GRcade Twitch channel for these episodes, plus various game streams.https://archive.org/download/GRcadeTwitchcastEpisode14/GRcade%20Twitchcast%20Episode%2014.mp3

The day after April Fools' is traditionally filled with heartfelt apologies, and we've got plenty. First off, we're truly sorry for our (hilarious) month-long "not pushing out an episode" prank. Admittedly, we were conflicted on starting the joke prior to the holiday, but we couldn't resist the opportunity (you should have seen your faces)! Second, we absolutely apologize for a full episode of entertaining Apex battle-pass talk, Spring Nindies' chat, Googles Stadia gossip, and Jeremy's atrocious audio (you'd think he'd figure out this whole podcast thing by now, huh)? Lastly, we're terribly sorry for never asking you to head over to Softcore_Gamers on Twitter to let us know what you think of our recent banter - we'll be sure to remind you of that going forward. Sorry again about that.
On this episode, Ben, Al, & Ash review Captian Marvel (with spoilers, skip minutes 30-48 to avoid) and then begin to theorize about Avengers 4: Endgame. Later the guys discuss Google's Stadia gaming system.
After skipping a week in favor of a fun community night, we return to the fold with an episode packed full of impressions and news. Everyone on the couch has spent a decent chunk of time with Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Chris Davis finally has his chance to talk about The Division 2 just as Nick starts to get hooked on the first one. Of course, there's also a ton of news to talk about thanks to Google's Stadia, The Cadence of Hyrule, and Gearbox's awkward announcement of Borderlands 3!

Google's Stadia stands to disrupt the console market as we know it! With its cloud-based system, will there even be a needs for consoles in the future? Let's hash it out.
After a busy couple of weeks, we're back with a lot of stuff. We dive deep into the challenges of Google's Stadia, get way into Sekiro, catch up with The Division 2, and talk about lots of other things! This week's music: Billie Ellish - you should see me in a crown
We're barely through the first quarter of the year, but the new releases keep piling up. This week, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice joins the fray (and many others' backlogs), and we have a word or two to say about it. But after catching up on what we've been playing, we take a sharp turn into the news. Sony's new Nintendo Direct-like State of Play initiative debuted, with a few announcements and release dates worth noting, particularly when it comes to PSVR. Persona 5 is also back in the news with a mysterious announcement of an announcement, Konami piles on the classic compilations (Castlevania!), and a new Lord of the Rings game appears to be PlayStation 5-bound (yes, 5). Then, with your encouragement via listener mail, we leave the Sony ecosystem for a bit, diving deep into Google's Stadia announcement, the controversies surrounding Epic's new digital game store, the nature of game pricing, and much more. After all, we may be a PlayStation podcast... but it's good to venture outside every now and again. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Welcome to episode 128 of the EdTech Situation Room from March 27, 2019, where technology news meets educational analysis. This week Jason Neiffer (@techsavvyteach) and Wesley Fryer (@wfryer) discussed how amazing Garageband software continues to be, this past week's Apple Event announcements, implications of Article 13's passage in the EU for user created content, freedom of expression, and the potential of a further fractured global Internet. Additional topics included MacBook keyboard reliability issues, Google's Stadia announcement for streaming games, Microsoft's imminent end of Windows7 support, the popularity of Google Docs among teens for chat at school, and the importance of China's long term strategy to dominate the global digital economy via Huawei and governmental policies. Geeks of the week were plentiful, including AirBnB versus Hilton comparisons, AirBnB superhosts, ScreenCloud digital signage, responses and protection against email phishing, Google home WiFi, the most amazing video (on storytelling and storytellers) from Apple's Event, and FloorPlanner.com. We are fans of Google's Stadia strategy and integrating it tightly with YouTube, the preferred social media and game watching platform among teens. Conversely, Apple's content strategy feels dated, mired in the past. Too much focus and investment in legacy content, too little focus on gaming. See our TEK2day article links below: 1.)
