On the afternoon of July 18, 1984, James Huberty left his apartment in the San Ysidro neighborhood of San Diego, California, and drove one block over to the nearby McDonalds. After walking through the door of the restaurant, Huberty raised his Uzi semi-automatic 9mm and began indiscriminately shooting at patrons, employees, and anyone else who happened to cross into his line of sight. At the time, and for decades after, the San Ysidro McDonalds massacre was the worst mass shooting in American history, with the shooter killing twenty-one people and injuring nearly two dozen others before being struck down by a sniper's bullet. The incident lasted over an hour, during which time San Diego police and SWAT members surrounded the building, but didn't enter the building until an hour after the shooting started, when Huberty was already dead. Welcome back to the Chino & Homeboy Podcast. In this absolutely unfiltered episode, the homies go from firearms and concealed carry debates to wild political takes, military stories, relationship chaos, and the kind of comedy that would definitely get you kicked out of church. What starts as a serious question about .380 pistols, grip safeties, and military firearm experience quickly spirals into discussions about home defense, gun safety, military dive school, cheating scandals, prison ethics, politics, religion, and the end of the world.Yeah… it escalates fast.Along the way the crew breaks down:The pros and cons of grip safeties vs trigger safeties on pistolsMilitary experience with firearms and Beretta M9 vs modern striker-fired pistolsGun safety with kids and real-world cases involving firearmsWhether children should ever be charged as adults in criminal casesWhy you should never talk to police without a lawyerThe wild logic behind politicians being categorized as “assholes, motherfuckers, or solid dudes”Church hypocrisy, scandalous clergy stories, and dark humor about religionRelationships, cheating stories, and brutal honesty about marriageNavy dive school explained and how long the training pipeline actually takesAnd somehow… the conversation even ends up in some of the most ridiculous debates imaginableIf you like Joe Rogan-style longform conversations mixed with military humor, savage commentary, and zero filter, this episode is for you.And if the world really does end tomorrow… at least we went out laughing.Subscribe for more episodes of the Chino & Homeboy PodcastNew conversations on culture, politics, military life, relationships, and whatever insane topic comes up next.

Join Here: https://ow.ly/msoH50WCu0KIn this segment of Notorious Mass Effect, Analytic Dreamz delivers a focused analytical breakdown of Lil Uzi Vert's latest single “What You Saying,” released December 22, 2025 (with video dropping December 23), via Cor(e) / Roc Nation Distribution.Produced by MC VERTT, the track fuses Jersey Club rhythms with a sample from Indila's “Love Story,” exploring romantic frustration through a language barrier theme. It marks Uzi's fourth single in a rapid December rollout following “Chanel Boy,” “Relevant,” and “Regular,” kicking off their independent era after signing with Roc Nation Distribution—joining only JAY-Z and Rihanna in holding management, distribution, and publishing ties while retaining full masters ownership and creative control. The Charlotte Wales-directed music video (creative direction by Lil Uzi Vert and Ava Nirui) reimagines Uzi as a renowned fashion designer in an alternate universe, featuring atelier scenes, backstage chaos, a high-energy runway show with Marc Jacobs Spring 2025 looks, archival pieces from Jean Paul Gaultier, Helmut Lang, Raf Simons, Thom Browne, and Maison Margiela (Spring 2001 glove top worn by Adriana Lima), plus cameos from supermodel Adriana Lima, designer Marc Jacobs, Law Roach, Andre Walker, Lourdes Leon, and Lynn Yaeger. The visual pays homage to 1990s couture, Fashion TV nostalgia, and Prince's boundary-pushing influence, complete with satirical protester signs (“UZI Fashion Scum”) and a triumphant bow finale.Analytic Dreamz examines how this multidisciplinary release—paired with limited-edition merch via Welcome to Cor(e)—signals Uzi's crossover ambitions into luxury fashion, building on their 31+ billion career streams, multiple Grammy nods, three Billboard 200 No. 1s, and Complex recognition as a top 21st-century best-dressed celebrity. As speculation builds for a 2026 album, this fashion-forward statement reinforces Uzi's innovative legacy at the intersection of music, high fashion, and artistic autonomy.Join Analytic Dreamz for this data-driven deep dive into one of late-2025's most visually ambitious and strategically pivotal releases. This episode centers on one big listener question: Did I romanticize my husband — and overlook red flags while dating? A newly married listener from South Africa writes in just three months after the wedding, struggling with harsh words during conflict, old wounds resurfacing, and the fear that she may have confused spiritual compatibility with true emotional safety. We unpack what “gentleness” should look like in marriage, how triggers differ from cruelty, and why sober-minded dating matters more than shared ministry or chemistry. Maine Friday Dinner- Teagan Wright Main Topic: We figured we would talk about some plot points in movies that include guns, but would ruin the plot if they happened. Plus some other gun mistakes! Fifth Element “Anyone else want to negotiate?” -Few times this was done right Law Abiding Citizen: -Clyde Shelton, given his background, probably wouldn't have opened the door to Clarence Darby not being armed. -Don't DA's have investigators that are armed? Why wouldn't actual DA's have the ability to be armed in the performance of their duties? (Yes i know, this DA went a little bit above and beyond what most do) Patriot Games: -When Jack Ryan has the H&K P9S 9mm….just shoot Sean Bean while you're in the middle of it; he was in the middle of an attack, could have had a second gun. I doubt the UK Govt would have cared, but then the credits would have just rolled after 15 mins of a movie. -After threats are made against Jack & his family, why didnt he ask them for at least a pistol? Jim Greer is a higher up at the CIA, I'm sure he could have pulled some strings to allow Jack to have something other than the over/under shotgun that he apparently doesnt tell his wife where the shells are. Clear & Present Danger: -After Escobedo gets nailed by Cortez's henchman, Jack is about to get shot by his henchman with an Uzi. Chavez nails the henchman, a fight ensues with Cortez, who then escapes. WHY DIDNT JACK PICK UP THE HENCHMANS FULLY LOADED UZI?! -Scene where Clark shoots the guard with a suppressed Glock. Muzzle flash looks like ported barrel. Would the suppressor still have worked? Sum of All Fears: -”SHOOT HIM RYAN BEFORE HE FIGURES OUT WHAT IM SAYING” (What if those two called in reinforcements? They didnt know if they had a radio or not) Die Hard With A Vengance: -Why not just let Zeus just keep the Model 60 .38 Special, hes chasing a bomber FOR them. -SWAT: -Dont pull the bus over until SWAT or other PD gets there. Why would you with no confirmation from dispatch? -At the end, having one in the chamber of the SIG Pro, why choose to do hand to hand when you just could have drilled Gamble? Now distributed, managed, and published exclusively through Roc Nation, Uzi joins an ultra-elite circle alongside only Jay-Z and Rihanna. Roc Nation President Krystian Santini hails Uzi as a “global icon” granted complete creative control with maximum resources. The new era launched with a surprise two-pack drop: morning single “Chanel Boy” (prod. ZeeGoinXrazy) – a high-synth Eternal Atake throwback dripping in Chanel luxury references – paired with a gritty NYC video featuring helicopters, Black SUVs, and full designer flex. Hours later came “Relevant” (prod. Trillion & Rima), a red-bandana Balenciaga statement reasserting dominance with immediate visual accompaniment.Analytic Dreamz breaks down the full 2025 context: Uzi's low-profile year, cleared sexual harassment lawsuit (dismissed with prejudice), and the active $110M copyright case over “Just Wanna Rock” claiming 93–97% melodic similarity to Rief Rawyal's “Pain and Pleasure.”This segment analyzes how Uzi's Roc-backed independence creates one of rap's most powerful artist-business structures, signals a return to beloved spacey sonics, and kicks off a new rollout era with unstoppable momentum. On today's episode, I talk to musician Thalia Zedek. Originally from Washington DC, Thalia attended college at Boston University for one semester before dropping out to pursue a musical career instead. Each band she formed saw a little more success than the last, and her breakthrough was the group Uzi in 1984. They only stayed together for a short time though, and she next joined the New York no wave band Live Skull, who stayed together until 1990. From their break-up until 2001, Thalia was in the band Come, which she formed with Codeine's Chris Brokaw; in their time together, they released four acclaimed records on Matador, and since then, she's been performing as Thalia Zedek Band. They've released nine albums, mostly on Thrill Jockey, and her latest The Boat Outside Your Window was just released in May of this year. On November 14th, Dromedary Records will release the lost EP of Via, Thalia's other Live Skull-era band, and it's a delight! On the 131st episode of Fear and Loathing in Cinema, a podcast that has spent more time in the ‘90s than the Clinton administration. Bryan, Dan, and Preston revisit a movie that asks the big, important questions: Can an Austrian killing machine convincingly teach preschool? Is it okay to introduce children to heroin dealers before phonics? And why, exactly, was Kindergarten Cop shown at every elementary school movie day like it was Charlotte's Web? Yes, they're talking about Kindergarten Cop (1990), the high-concept action comedy where Arnold Schwarzenegger, fresh from body-slamming aliens and blowing up jungles, trades his Uzi for juice boxes and circle time. The trio dive headfirst into the genre whiplash of Ivan Reitman's wildly successful, weirdly traumatic family action-comedy. This is a film, after all, that made over $200 million by pitching itself as “Daddy Day Care meets Scarface,” except with more feral children and less Eddie Murphy in makeup. The post Episode #131 – Kindergarten Cop (1990) first appeared on Boomstick Comics.
What do you reckon happened at the big butter meeting? Willis and Hurrell. Nicola and Miles. Is it a meeting that took on a hopeless amount of hype, or was it a sign that at times this Government, and Willis in particular, say stuff that makes them look like they are on to it when perhaps they're not? The reality is these two meet regularly. Fonterra plays an outsized roll in our economy and therefore it would be odd if they didn't meet. But Nicola has this penchant for saying stuff that might lead you to believe she could produce an Uzi out of her handbag and blitz the room. She has the banks, who she keeps telling us are people we should not be locked in a dark room with. She has the supermarkets who, in her Clouseau-type way, suggests she has been ferreting about the isles and has found dastardly deeds. Jacinda had the same predilection when she told us the petrol companies were "fleecing us". It's all good stuff for headlines and attention. It's very good guy/bad guy, and if hot air were rocket fuel she could have flown to the moon and back six times. But is your butter any more affordable? Of course not, and in that is the problem – not with the price, but with Nicola. Wouldn't it be fantastic if there was a scandal, or a rip-off, or some highway robbery? Wouldn't it be awesome if she could tie a butter producer to a chair and waterboard them until they screamed out "yes, yes, yes it's true, the real price is only $3.76 not $8.50". Sadly, it isn't going to happen. Presumably, as if she needed it, Miles worked her through the calculations at last night's meeting. We pay the global price for butter, the irony being in this case that's actually good news because dairy in general is booming and we need something to boom. What we would like to do versus what we have to do, for good reason, are two separate things. That's why butter is the price it is. The real question for Nicola is how many meetings, threats and finger waggles does she have to produce for no change before someone calls her out for being a lot of mouth and not a lot of trouser?See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

This episode kicks off by honoring the legacy of Walter Scott Jr. of The Whispers, followed by a look ahead at what's on deck — from the XXL Freshman Class and Brandy & Monica's tour to whether Red Lobster is making a real comeback and if hip-hop is in a flop era or simply evolving. The team first celebrates their TikTok blow-up, sparked by a clip on Gen Z knowing Nas, diving into why people are surprised, whether classic hip-hop is quietly resurging, and how TikTok keeps older music alive. Next up is a heated take on the 2024 XXL Freshman Class, debating who deserves the spotlight, who's just hype, and whether the list still shapes careers like it did for legends such as Cole, Uzi, and Megan. The crew also reacts to Cardi B's upcoming album “Am I The Drama,” questioning if adding hits like “WAP” and “Up” is fair game. In Segment 3, they cheer on Brandy & Monica's joint tour, hoping it sparks more women-led R&B collabs, and discuss Cash Cobain's impact on today's performance-heavy scene. Then it's a deep dive into TDE's Punch's take on hip-hop, asking if the genre's being drowned by clout, algorithms, and fan short attention spans — and if labels like TDE and Dreamville can steer things back to art over hype. The hosts also share who they'd love to A&R or executive produce for, old or new. For some lighter fare, the crew debates Red Lobster's big push with seafood boils, wondering if it's a tasty comeback or just nostalgia bait — and they shout out their own guilty-pleasure chain restaurants. We wrap by taking listener reactions and posing key questions: Is XXL still relevant? Has hip-hop lost its soul? And who's pulling up to Red Lobster?

On this episode of New Faces, the guys show off the new studio (S/O ) as they discuss Playboi Carti's newest album and legacy, Carti vs Uzi, Ye's most recent antics, LeBron vs SAS, and Brandan's Sciatica problems
“I Am Music,” the third studio album by American rapper Playboi Carti, dropped on March 14, 2025, through AWGE and Interscope Records, marking his first full-length release in over four years since the groundbreaking “Whole Lotta Red” in 2020. This 30-track opus, originally teased under the title “Narcissist” before evolving into “Music” and finally “I Am Music,” arrives after a torturous gestation period that tested the patience of Carti's fervent fanbase. Spanning 77 minutes, the album is a sprawling testament to his enigmatic persona, blending trap, punk, and experimental rap into a chaotic yet captivating sonic tapestry. Featuring an all-star lineup of collaborators—Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, Skepta, Jhené Aiko, Ty Dolla Sign, and Young Thug—“I Am Music” showcases Carti's ability to command a cultural moment, even amidst a rollout plagued by delays, leaks, and unfulfilled promises. The album's production, helmed primarily by Ojivolta, Cardo, and F1lthy, with contributions from heavyweights like Kanye West, Metro Boomin, and Mike Dean, oscillates between glitchy synths, booming trap drums, and atmospheric flourishes. Tracks like “Evil J0rdan” and “HBA” (formerly “H00dByAir”), released as standalone singles in 2024, anchor the project with their hypnotic beats and Carti's signature vocal contortions—ranging from guttural growls to high-pitched shrieks. The inclusion of DJ Swamp Izzo's bombastic interludes ties the album to Atlanta's mixtape heritage, lending a gritty, street-level authenticity to its futuristic sound. Standouts like “Mojo Jojo,” with Kendrick Lamar's playful ad-libs, and “Rather Lie,” elevated by The Weeknd's silky croon, highlight the album's versatility, while “Like Weezy” nods to Lil Wayne—whose phrase “I Am Music” Carti borrows—with a Rich Kidz sample that bridges past and present.“I Am Music” is as much a vibe as it is a statement, reflecting Carti's evolution from SoundCloud darling to a generational pacesetter. Its rollout began in earnest with cryptic Instagram posts in December 2023, including the tagline “I am music” and Pharrell's co-sign, “Prepare.” What followed was a barrage of YouTube and Instagram exclusives—“2024,” “Backr00ms,” “All Red”—that fueled anticipation while frustrating fans with their streaming absence. Recorded in eclectic locales, including a Paris cave studio for three months, as Carti revealed in a 2023 Numéro Berlin interview, the album channels themes of love, sex, drugs, and personal turmoil, with hints of bipolar struggles and rehab musings teased in his 2022 XXL interview. Yet, lyrically, it leans more into braggadocio and hedonism than introspection, a choice that critics argue limits its depth.Reception has been polarized but largely positive, with Pitchfork calling it a “dizzying, vibes-driven flood,” and The Guardian praising Carti's “mystical vocal range.” Its 30-track length—bloated to some, a feast to others—mirrors the excess of his persona, though tracks like “OPM Babi” and “Twin Trim” (a Uzi solo cut) feel like filler. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, moving 298,000 units, cementing Carti's commercial clout. Still, its messy release—delayed from midnight to dawn on March 14 amid sample clearance woes—mirrors its unpolished edges, with some accusing Carti of coasting on aura over substance. Regardless, “I Am Music” reaffirms his dominance in the rage-rap lineage he pioneered, a chaotic masterpiece that thrives on its contradictions.
The '80s were a golden age for action films, and "The Delta Force" is no exception. Starring Chuck Norris and Lee Marvin, this Cannon Films classic delivers a high-octane mix of military heroism, motorcycle-mounted rockets and one of the most absurdly patriotic finales in cinema history. Loosely inspired by the real-life hijacking of TWA Flight 847, the film follows an elite commando unit as they take on Middle Eastern terrorists in a testosterone-fueled spectacle that only the '80s could produce. In this episode, the Shat Crew dives deep into the questionable military accuracy, over-the-top action sequences, and the sheer marketing genius behind "Delta Force "weaponry. Is this a patriotic masterpiece, a jingoistic fever dream, or just a Chuck Norris vehicle gone wild? Strap in as we break it all down—Uzi in one hand, American flag in the other. Plot Summary:When a commercial airliner is hijacked by terrorists, the elite U.S. military unit known as Delta Force—led by Colonel Nick Alexander (Lee Marvin) and Major Scott McCoy (Chuck Norris)—is called into action. As the hostages are taken to Beirut and divided by nationality and religion, McCoy and his team embark on a daring mission to rescue them Subscribe Now Android: https://www.shatpod.com/android Apple/iTunes: https://www.shatpod.com/apple Help Support the Podcast Contact Us: https://www.shatpod.com/contact Commission Movie: https://www.shatpod.com/support Support with Paypal: https://www.shatpod.com/paypal Support With Venmo: https://www.shatpod.com/venmo Shop Merchandise: https://www.shatpod.com/shop Theme Song - Die Hard by Guyz Nite: https://www.facebook.com/guyznite
