2:20: When a close friend purchased a home and didn’t use Seth for his loan, it was a defining moment for him. It wasn’t that his friend wouldn’t have used Seth, it was that his friend didn’t know that he even did loans! Seth realized that he HAD to let everybody know what he did IF he was going to have an opportunity to help them. Seth also took it upon himself to KNOW the mortgage business inside and out so that he would be best equipped to help people in nearly every situation. 6:00: Seth explains how he has leveraged systems to maximize his growth. Seth looks at each step of the process and analyzes what is happening and asked himself if this is going to happen repeatedly for the customer’s he serves and finds a way to implement the solution to what happens before the customer even experiences the question or setback that may prevent them from having the absolute best experience with him and his team. 11:00: For Seth, It all begins with a relationship. Rather than worrying about getting a new buyer approved for a loan, he focuses on a “Hopes & Dreams” call. The first conversation is all about understanding what is important to the customer to determine IF he can even help them. 18:30: Seth shares his philosophy on giving back and always finding ways to provide value to those he serves. “If somebody took the time to invest in me, I have the responsibility to push that back out and invest back into other people.” 25:30: On Growing: A mistake he made when beginning to grow was waiting until the last minute to hire somebody. He found that when he waited he hired out of desperation and without having a defined role for the person he brought on board. He found that by having a clear vision and role for what he needed that person to do within his business system. 28:30: Finding you REAL “Why.” Seth shares how his initial “why” for achieving success came from a place of ego and how ultimately he was left unfulfilled.
