She could've just got her big juice money and lived a quiet life. Instead, she used her fame to strip basic human rights away from gay people. And while trying to criminalize being gay was not new in the 70s, she's the one who took it mainstream. Oh the times are so ridiculous, sad, annoying, unjust and everything else as mass psychosis continues unabated.  And then there's Canadian professor Dr. Julie Ponesse who wasn't thinking she was doing anything unusual rejecting the jab. Fired by Huron College of Western University after 20 years of service, she is now fighting for all of our rights.  Dr. Ponesse speaks so eloquently of this crisis. She is the very definition of unassuming yet so clearly a rock, the quintessential guide to the abysmal ethics of Covid-19 management.  Her book, My Choice: The Ethical Case Against COVID-19 Vaccine Mandates, is a must read.Right now Senator Richard Pan has introduced a bill into the California Senate to force children from the age of five o be jabbed by one more poisonous vax. Research, according to epidemiologist, Dr. Paul Alexander, shows they have absolutely no need of it, their immune systems robust enough to fend off Delta and Omicron variants of COVID-19. In a time of a crime against humanity, public health officials determined to dispense poison as the way to defeat a virus, let Dr. Ponesse's experience be one more opportunity for humanity to come to its senses. Give us medical freedom. Oh and in California defeat Newsom and elect Reinette Senum for sense in policies that particularly target children. My book Surviving a Viral Pandemic, now being updated to reflect the last two years (but still perfect to help boost your immune system with natural medicine), will be followed by Transforming Trauma, (summer 2022, Hammersmith Books). In the meantime if you start to feel sick breathe in steam (carefully), this can be enough to kill a pathogenic virus. If you need added ammo add mashed garlic or the herb lobelia or  use a nebulizer with saline and hydrogen peroxide and a bit of nascent iodine.  And drink lots of organic ginger tea with added organic lemon and Himalayan salt. Make sure you have cleared or in the process of clearing up any underlying conditions. You can also write to Ethel at ethelsadvicecorner@gmail.com.Stay well and happy!Dr. Heather

Fred is Terry Fox's older brother, and he was so generous with his time to have a chat with me about Terry and the foundation. Every Canadian knows who Terry Fox is. Kids across Canada today read about him in the history books. Those who were alive in 1980 saw him on TV every morning running across the country on 1 leg and 1 shitty prosthetic. He was raising money to fund cancer research. Over 40 years after his passing at 22 years old from cancer, his foundation has now raised over $850 million. The Canadian Federal Government is planning on putting a new face on the $5 bill, and Terry is the front runner. Terry Fox is a hero, and I think Americans should know about him too. Guest 1: Nicholas Hennink Nicholas Hennink ('Henn-ink') is an Advanced Care Paramedic and Singer/Songwriter by both passion and vocation, known for his inspirational music that gives hope to those who need it the most. Nicholas also served as an advanced care paramedic for over a decade. His love of music began during his childhood, playing in bands and creating songs with his acoustic guitar in Cape Town, South Africa, where he was born and raised. Serving as an Advanced Care Paramedic Nicholas was diagnosed with severe PTSD, seeing things that can't be unseen, he used alcohol as a coping mechanism and was afflicted with alcohol addiction. Stemming over 6 years of relapses, rehab three times, and watching his life collapse around him, suicide was not far off. Keeping his daughter and fiancé front and center in his mind pushed him to heal, and use his gifts to help other people that still struggle. All of Nicholas' website/social media links https://linktr.ee/nicholashennink?fbc... Guest 2: Jeff Vircoe So, I'm Jeff Vircoe. Age 61. Born in Ottawa, raised an anglophone in Montreal, I have been out on Vancouver Island for 34 of my 60 years on the planet. I'm a father, a stepfather, a partner, a businessman and a man in long term recovery from substance addiction. I'm over 31 years clean today. I have solid Newfoundland and Australian ancestry, so I'm pretty complicated. Stubborn, silly, patriotic and non-judgmental most of the time. I can be pretty skeptical and sarcastic other times. I am a fledgling golfer, guitarist and bass player. I'm also a history buff, a voracious reader, and a pretty good cook. I am a political buff, love cats, omelets and the Boston Bruins. I am more likely to speak up than shut up. I believe in freedom of expression and the importance of telling the truth. I respect those who came before us. With a series of serendipitous events in 2006, I morphed into an addictions support staff member and then counsellor at Edgewood Treatment Centre, one of the country's top addiction treatment facilities, for six more years. In 2012, I survived a quadruple bypass. For the next five years, I went on at Edgewood as editor of several different Edgewood Health Network publications.  Over that period, I interviewed and wrote about staff and patients, and researched and wrote about programs and modalities from across the addictions spectrum. I have written hundreds of heart-warming and heart-breaking stories for newspapers and magazines across the country. News stories, business profiles, travel, entertainment, sports, courts and all points between, I have always tried to be a man of integrity, a storyteller armed with some zip and edginess. I've interviewed countless examples of the kinds of people who make life interesting for us all, and am richer for having met and shared them with my readers. Farmers across the country have been outraged about the inaccuracies that this story presents to consumers. The worst part being making a movie about Canola and having the movie poster picture being a farmer standing in a Corn field. You already know I have some thoughts on this story.

The Roy Green Show Podcast Remembrance Day Special Ted Barris is an author of numerous books on the Canadian military and war. He joins Roy to discuss our country's military history, how Canadians impacted WWI, and the often forgotten role Canadian soldiers played in the Korean War. Countless Canadian military veterans live with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, which was once known as “shellshock” in WWI. Support for these veterans and their caregivers is severely lacking. Our guest Jenny Migneault has battled for “the identity and the dignity of caregivers of wounded veterans.” The Afghani translator known as “Left Behind Alex” is one of the many of translators whose life is in danger after helping Canadian forces combat the Taliban. He, like the others, was integral in helping members of the Canadian forces to survive in so many ways. Yet because Sajad missed the small window of opportunity for immigration, he is now stuck in Afghanistan where he is hunted by the Taliban. On June 2, 2008, during his second tour of duty in Afghanistan, Major Campbell lost both of his legs to a target IED in a Taliban attack. He travelled for two hours via helicopter without any pain medication to a field surgical hospital where he was treated for his extensive injuries, and had to be resuscitated on the operating table. Marc Boggio is a good man who found himself in a profoundly unfortunate situation. While serving as a medic in the Canadian military, Corporal Boggio fell ill, and the unimaginable happened: He lost his leg. But this podcast doesn't tell a melancholy story. Quite the opposite. It's instead about how Marc snapped back, grabbed life by the horns, and made lemonade out of the lemons he was dealt. Prepare to be uplifted.

War is a dirty job, but someones gotta do it. "At the onset of the Second World War he was interned at a Japanese internment camp. In 1944 he escaped, joined the Special Operations Executive, a British commando group, and was engaged in guerrilla warfare in Malaya".1Eventually life brought him to Canada where he joined the PPCLI and soon after that he joined the war effort in Korea. For decades the tale of his finest moments were kept quiet, for reasons unknown. Today Patee shares with us the story of Mike Levy; (adopted) Canadian Hero.  Written by: Patee Woods & Kim DavidsonLogo by: Christian WoodsMusic: Lee Rosevere https://leerosevere.bandcamp.com/ Creative Commons "Max Overdrive" by Lee RosevereWith files from1. https://archives.ppcli.com/mike-levy-fonds2. https://www.pressreader.com/canada/national-post-latest-edition/20110406/2820762734058953. http://espritdecorps.ca/battle-of-kapyong/2016/6/8/the-battle-of-kapyong-revisitedFacebook group/page: https://www.facebook.com/truenorthstrangeandweird/Twitter: @TNSWpodcastEmail: truenortcast@gmail.com See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Don Murdock, Don't Call Me A Hero, The Story In December 1986, Firefighter, Canadian singer/songwriter Don Murdock received high honors with Canada's “Medal of Bravery” from Jeanne Sauve, Canada's Governor General for his actions during two separate house fires where Don exhibited valor and brave actions. For many years Don rode the Rescue Truck with Canada’s Whitby Fire Department. During that time he witnessed many terrible and tragic thing none of which affected him as much as the events that unfolded before him on a fire that occurred in March of 1985.  His song has not only helped Don come to terms with emotions that have haunted him since that night almost 28 years ago, but also makes good on a silent promise he made privately to a little girl who became an angel that night to one day honor her memory. Don't Call Me A Hero was the #1 DMDS download at Canadian Country Radio. The song was also the DMDS #8 most active indie song regardless of genre at Canadian radio.Don Murdock - Social Media LinksDon Murdock - Wesite and music Links
