About Christa Christa Smith is a follower of Jesus Christ. Her husband, Ron, is the Lead Pastor at First Baptist Church of Palatka, Florida. They have been married for 32 years and have two sons, Ryan and Landon. Landon's bride, Abbie, joined their family three years ago. They have a sweet fur puppy named Phoebe. Prior to joining The Tim Tebow Foundation, she served as Community Connections Coordinator at First Baptist Church of Palatka. Christa is fluent in American Sign Language and continues to serve as one of the ASL Interpreters for Lifeway Women's Events all over the United States. Christa's journey in learning ASL began as a necessity when her oldest son, Ryan, was diagnosed as profoundly Deaf at 18 months old (CHARGE Syndrome). What began as a desire to communicate with her son grew into a love for the Deaf and a desire to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ in their heart language. In 2005, after meeting with parents and school administrators, God led Christa and her husband to develop an after-school program for Deaf and hard of hearing children at our church. This amazing program connected these children and their families to the local church and became a safe haven of learning about Jesus and His deep love for them. Because of her experience, she has witnessed first hand the profound impact the church can have on those living with disabilities and their families. That's why she is passionate about the mission of TTF Shine On and continuing to elevate the hard work and resources of disability organizations to equip local churches in ministering to those often overlooked. Our culture is in a BIG hurry. Fast foods, instant coffee, speed dating, ready-made goods, Doordash, and offers of easy solutions to difficult problems are trendy in our generation. Unfortunately, many have falsely applied this rule to the making of a leader. They expect an emergence of a Moses without the wilderness experience, an Esther without prayer and fasting, and a David without sheepherding in obscurity. Spiritual leadership without a price tag is nothing more than a shallow immature fantasy. You can microwave a potato in 7 minutes, but the making of a "golden" vessel of God can take a lifetime. In this episode of KEEP IT 100, we have a convo on the cost of the anointing, the preparation for a platform, hear an excerpt from a surprise Guest and interview Christa Smith.

Waiting. Nobody likes to wait. But there are beautiful things to discover in the waiting if we will wait with purpose. Today's guest Christa Smith, author of Singled Out in a Couples World, brings us a fresh reminder of the lessons she discovered while waiting to meet and marry her husband Sean at age 39. Her vantage point will encourage the listener in the waiting, whether she's waiting to meet her life's partner, waiting for a new ministry opportunity, looking for the exit from a difficult situation, praying for that prodigal to come home. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Whether speaking nationally or internationally, Christa Smith's passion for the Lord pours out of her. Her life was significantly marked after a powerful encounter with the Holy Spirit as a young girl. From that moment on, the prophetic heart of the Father became the foundation of her walk with Jesus. Christa delivers what she hears from the Holy Spirit with humor, accuracy and powerful personal experiences. She is known for her passionate preaching and down to earth approachability, but what many people don't know is that Christa is a student of Krav Maga, a home design enthusiast, committed coffee drinker, and lover of all things cozy! Christa's background includes graduating from Seattle Pacific University with a degree in Communication. She then went on to Hillsong International Leadership College in Sydney, Australia where she completed the Pastoral Ministry Program. She has planted and has been Director of two Schools of Ministry; one in the San Francisco Bay area and the other in Las Vegas, Nevada. Christa has also served as Associate Pastor at Garden Valley Church in Roseburg, Oregon and Executive Pastor at Expression 58 in Glendale, California. Jamie brings you one of her good friends this week to talk about being single in a world that seems to revolve around being coupled up. Christa shares her happy journey of following Gods call across the world without a spouse or boyfriend and on top of that having never seen representation of what she felt she was called to do, preach. You will love this story of how God used her, grew her, taught her AND how she learned, “if God is not enough marriage never will be”. And enjoy a Backstage look into a conversation between two good friends and be encouraged, God has a way of following through.
