It seems that twins are more abundant inside than outside the pages of books. Twins have fascinated writers for a long time, maybe it is because of the possibilities for them to switch places, or to pull the doppelgänger effects, or the creative possibilities given when two different stories have a common inception. Starting in our childhood with Tweedledee and Tweedledum, we have met more twins as literary characters than otherwise, and we plan to tell you about some awesome pairs in this episode. I figure that when writers have a compulsion to put a story down on paper, and paper, as we might think of it, is not readily available, their urge to get the story out will improvise a writing surface out of anything. After listening to this episode you will see that the surfaces and materials used by authors to write their books might not always be pristine, convenient, picturesque, portable, or big enough to contain too much text; but when inspiration strikes, any available surface is up for grabs. It is often the case that heroes in fantasy stories are in the company of a friend who helps them in their preternatural quest. It is also the case that many times these friends have one, or many, magical traits: talking animals, or chimeric beings come to mind. Regardless of these beings having fur, scales, wing, or all of those, these are the sidekicks our heroes can always count on. The brave, wise, and loyal companions for which no CGI can rival our readers' imagination when it comes to visualizing them. We readers have been meeting these magical sidekicks for a long time, and this episode is dedicated to them and the books that have, magically, brought them to us. We come to associate the fictional characters we love with an item of clothing, a hairstyle, or a phrase. But there are some characters that even have an address. Granted, many of these address are as fictional as the characters themselves, but that doesn't prevent us readers to add them to our fictional address books, or fictional rolodexes (because who knows when we are going to need a fictional detective or nanny, right?). So if you are up for a walk down fictional lane, we have prepared a compilation of famous literary addresses. Just like in the music industry, there are also literary one-hit wonders. Sometimes these title is given to an author’s debut novel which also happened to be his or her last one, or to one posthumously published book, or to the one title that is very well known from an author that has other lesser known ones. We want to highlight in this episodes several books that could be considered one-hit wonders, and they might have been the only well-known novel their authors produced, but they certainly topped the literary charts. Like one-name celebrities, there are books with one-name titles. The sole mention of such titles is evocative of all the feelings, good or bad, that the eponymous character represents. Lists commending books abound. Annually, we get a rank of the best books every year from different sources, there are countless lists for the 1,000 or 1,001 novels to be read, and the list of literary prizes and awards gets longer as you read this. However, even books in those ultimate 1000-long lists do not always enjoy good reviews. In fact, Bill Henderson has compiled Rotten Reviews Redux, a book containing very unfavorable reviews given to titles you might not expect to be harshly criticized. In a very ironic turn of events, it turns out Bill Henderson's book has itself received unfavorable criticism; you can read some of them in Goodreads. Once upon a time...we read an article listing the 100 Best First Lines in literature. The article includes all the ones you expect: "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times,...", "Call me Ishmael.", "It is a truth universally known...", "Somewhere in La Mancha,...", and "Happy families are all alike;...". But the list also contained some unorthodox and brilliant ways to start a novel, so we decided to talk about those odd ones in this episode. All books discussed and links to all the topics mentioned in this episodes can be found in the show notes at www.twobookramblers.comAt our page, you can also check our Cover Gallery and join us in Book vs. Book, Six-Word Reviews, and GuessWork. You can purchase any book we mentioned in the show by visiting our TBR Bundles.
When characters become part of our collective consciousness, their stories transcend time and place, and their tales get told and retold. It is also often that these stories are reimagined and recounted from the point of view of another character, sometimes the villains, making for some entertaining and creative books. Colors, in general, have been associated with many feelings, holidays, ideas, even individuals. But the symbolism associated with red is probably one of the oldest and better known. What if, as a business leader, you were asked to state the number ONE best strategy for business success? Would it be, as Peter Drucker once said, "creating and keeping customers?" Or would it be, as Anthony Robbins once said, to focus on the power of positive thinking? Regardless of where one may stand on this question, it's hard to disagree with this simple truth that Stephen Woessner learned from his immigrant grandfather: "If You Take Care Of Your Customers, They Will Take Care Of You!"In this episode, we meet Stephen Woessner, CEO of Predictive ROI and host of the top-rated Onward Nation Podcast. My favorite quotes from Stephen (paraphrased) in this episode are:"You need two things: a TROJAN HORSE of sales strategy, and a TRIDENT content-marketing strategy!""Don't ever be SCHWARMY, SALES-Y, or SCHMUTZY in your sales and marketing. It never works!""Be PATIENT."The best way to reach out to Stephen Woessner is on his website:https://predictiveroi.comAt some point in our lives and businesses, we find ourselves striving for MORE. We seek to become the very best that we can be; to align our passions with the purpose of our souls. We aspire to our highest calling and to live what I call, The Big-Ticket Life™. Most of the women are more emotional at night because of the environment - alcohol, music, friends, and validation from men pump up their emotional state. They are more receptive to meeting men at these venues. During the day, women are in a more logical state. They are thinking about work or what errands they have to get done. So when you approach during the day, they are in a more logical state of mind so your energy has to be more laid back and relaxed. Visit: http://datingarchitect.com

Mary and I had a wonderful and blessed time talking to Pastor/Dr. John DeLancey. I have personally, worked with the Pastor redesigning his website and honestly, was truly in awe and inspired of how he teaches, how he tells stories and how creative and talented he is with showing people the beauty of Israel. He uses many mediums to show the beauty of the land and to give a 3D experience to the person who goes on his trips, to walk the land of Jesus, inspires right there. I really loved hearing about his life, from his youth to the point where he stepped out and decided to commit to his ministry. God has truly given him a wonderful vision and how he can inspire others.Even though I can’t be there his video work (with the drones) is sensational. I really enjoyed this interview with him, he told us stories and taught with inspiration. Things that we face in everyday life and yet shows us how to get strength through Jesus in his experiences and stories through his actual life, bringing the Bible and the lessons of Jesus to life. Throughout the interview are examples of how the trips not only inspire but take people to another level of their inspirational walk with Jesus. He has a lot of beautiful teaching videos called “It happened Here - Life Lessons from Israel”, a series to help bring Jesus to us. If people have the time I would suggest checking out all his videos and even his photo blogs, on what a trip is like to Israel.I feel this testimonial will bless you, it’s a good account about how God can do amazing things in your life. Mary and I had a wonderful and an amazing time with this interview. This show really shows what a church can do (the Worship Team) when you lead your members. This team is so close knit, the creativity, the encouragement of each other, like Mary said in the interview each of us mentoring and teaching each of us and really uplifting each others talents. Ryan is an inspiration that way, to delegate and let each member grow for God’s Kingdom. I have to say I love Ryan and his music, if you have time please go back and hear his solo interview with his story. What I love is how close everyone is and to see the next generation come up and this show is special, to show that. It was such a joy to meet Rebecca Bleakley and get her inspiration on what she wrote. She has a wonderful voice and amazing how she has taken the lead, on supporting her youth group. Also I really love the creativity and the song she wrote (You Satisfy) for the next CD of this Worship Team. The message is great and she really delivers a wonderful performance (I’m sure that her mom is proud of her - Rachelle Bleakley) Way to go !!!! This episode is a salute to worship music by this team and I really wish more churches where like this. We all love the major Christian artists but this church utilizes its own talent to express their love and to glorify God, and I really, truly respect and love that. Not many churches do that, and I wish more did. Have their own studio and be able to record their own unique creative expression for God and I feel that is the zenith of worship. I just love the creativity that God has given them and their expression. This episode is really a show about their music and we did about 7 songs. They will all be going on my iPhone :) please listen to this interview and share it with all your network. The songs are listed below, and I personally love them all. Please create a campus here where I am (outside of Pittsburgh, PA), I would love to be involved :)1. Land of the Living2. The Name of Jesus3. Marvelous4. You Satisfy5. Speak to Me6. Victory7. Mary and I had an exciting and wonderful time interviewing Loren Mulraine. The story of how I was introduced to his music was a God like event. I remember it was a Sunday and I felt a little not down per se but just kind of flat for lack of a better word. This email came from CRW and I opened it, figured why not check this music out, which I did and it was Loren. His music lifted me up and I felt much better. I knew right then and there I had to have an interview with him and sent him an email, in that instant. I’m so glad I had a chance to interview Loren with Mary. Like Mary I love his voice and his R&B style, his story and music is all so inspirational to me. His producer skills are bar none and he has real talent and calling to be able to help so many Christian artists with this gift. How guitar parts shimmer along with the keyboards. Great messages about his walk with God and the songs so well produced I feel like it sounds like top 40 music (and I mean that in a great way), top quality crafted songs and really truly polished (he really has that gift !!!)I will be adding him to my iPhone and taking his music with me, it will also be going on the station stream. I really can’t say enough about Loren but the interview was so enjoyable, his stories and honest transparency made it an amazing hour for me, that flew by. I thank God that I got to meet Loren and I feel blessed and I know he will bless so many people that hear this interview. The listed songs below were covered and we got a chance to hear all the inspired back stories to the songs:1. Fall On Me2. I Am3. I Find You — First song I personally heard4. More5. Steve & Shawn are LIVE with another round of paranormal talk with our good friend Bobby Nelson, skeptic and co host of Strange Frequencies Radio! Here is Bobbys bio:Bobby Nelson is a skeptic, writer, and co-host of Strange Frequencies Radio. His personal blog can be found online at www.porkrhine.comAt one time, Bobby was what could be called a "true believer" in paranormal phenomenon. Having been an active investigator of the paranormal for 12 years with several different Toledo based teams, he has examined countless claims of activity. But years worth of research and investigation proved to him that the evidence for these claims are generally lacking and, furthermore, the vast majority of so-called scientific paranormal investigators were using improper methodologies which caused them to draw both false and misleading conclusions. Aside from field investigations, he has also pursued laboratory testing of several items which have been a big topic of conversation with paranormal enthusiasts; such as Ghost Boxes and Ouija Boards. During these tests, Bobby has shown how these items fail time and time again under proper controlled conditions. He has studied and lectured on such topics as real open mindedness, scepticism, EVP, subjective validation, and the psychological observation known as the Forer Effect. Bobby is a frequent guest on programs such as PSI FI Para Radio and Paradigm Project Radio, where his easy going personality and reliable information have made him a hit with show hosts and listeners alike. On his own internet radio show and podcast, Strange Frequencies Radio, he has interviewed hundreds of the biggest names and personalities in the field; even debating a real life Exorcist live on-air on two separate occasions.Bobby loves to cover the following:*Skepticism* Open Mindedness*The Paranormal*Ghost Boxes and Ouija Boards*EVP

As a group, they will swim about 44 miles over 2 days – that's more than twice the distance across the English Channel, or roughly 30 times the distance from Alcatraz to San Francisco. Their route will be a diagonal across the middle of the lake, which will take them over areas that are almost a mile deep.
