Given the hype surrounding the Edmonton Oilers in the weeks leading up to the season, it's no surprise that Nation Citizens everywhere feel salty after how things have gone so far. On the Monday episode of Real Life, the guys dig into what the hell is going on with this team, what comes next, and how they can rebound from here. Kicking off the Monday episode of Real Life, the guys got going with a look at the Oilers' 0-2 start to the season and how this was not how we expected things to go. Despite trying to find some silver linings, the reality is that it's nearly impossible to feel good about two avoidable losses. Talking about the Oilers led Tyler to tell a story from Saturday night and how an angry fan behind him almost kicked off a fight in the stands. Chalmers then talked about the Wu-Tang concert from Friday night and how it was a spectacular performance by the group even though they're older guys now. Despite being worried about the mix and guys yelling over each other, Wu-Tang and Nas put on a fantastic show that every rap fan would enjoy. Somehow, talking about rap led the guys to complain about plastic straws and paper bags again after another run of mishaps in the drive-through. Lastly, the podcast wrapped up with the usual gauntlet of random topics as the boys bounced in and out of varying stories and questions before finally winding down the Monday episode.Shoutout to today's sponsors: Betway, Greta, Century Mile Racetrack & Casino, Crown Royale & DoorDash Hosted on Acast. Frank and Jason are back with a fresh episode of The DFO Rundown. Coming off a full weekend of NHL hockey, the guys went through some of the biggest storylines that emerged from the last few days.Nothing is getting more attention than Auston Matthews' red-hot start. After back-to-back hat-tricks, the Maple Leafs' star has a chance to make NHL history on Monday night if he can score a third consecutive hatty. What's his limit for goals this season? The guys debated that. They also went through some preseason overreactions before getting to the “Generous Guy of the Week” brought to you by Crown Royale where they talked about a heavyweight tilt in Toronto and a light-hearted moment in Columbus. To wrap things up, they talked about the Vancouver Canucks impressive victories over the Edmonton Oilers and whether or not they'll be able to ride this momentum to a playoff appearance this season.1:20 - Matthews' hot start12:00 - Early season struggles15:50 - Generous Guy pres. by Crown Royale23:49 - Fill in the Blank pres. by DoorDash33:50 - Canucks hot start38:00 - Kings goaltending44:48 - Josh Norris updateWant to hear more from Frank, Jason and the entire DFO team?
