In the realm of contemporary spirituality, a unique connection exists between Wicca and naturism. Today, I aim to explore this intricate relationship with Liam Cyfrin, an Australian-born writer and editor who currently resides in the United States. Liam has made notable contributions to the modern world of Wicca, including co-editing Shadowplay Magazine since its inception in 1984, and regularly contributing articles to an Australian magazine called WitchCraft. He has also collaborated with musician and author Fiona Horne on several books, including Witch: A Personal Journey (1998) and Pop! Goes the Witch: The Disinformation Guide to 21st Century Witchcraft (2004). Notably, Liam is a lifelong naturist, and he asserts that this lifestyle seamlessly aligns with both Wicca and the modern Pagan movement. In asking him for an interview, it was my hope to explore the spiritual significance of nudity in Wicca through Liam's experience, to examine the intersection between Wicca and naturism, and hopefully to touch on the historical context and ethical principles that underpin this enigmatic practice. Those are lofty aims for a short article, but hopefully if we fall short of achieving those goals it will at least have been an enjoyable read. What more can we really ask for?

Vick Mickuans' 2002 interview with writer, musician, and witch, Fiona Horne.
Merry Meet Witchy people! In the Southern Hemisphere we are approaching Litha, the Summer Solstice or the Feast of the Faeries, and so Lucy put together a special blessed being on how the faeries can connect with us, and help us with our wellbeing. There’s Cauldron answers to questions about when the veils thin, the process of Oracle Card Publishing, and why one listener had a special interaction with Dragonfly and Bee. Lucy brings news of the Japanese tradition of Doll Funerals - and of why dolls are so often considered to be alive and ensoulled. There’s an update on the forthcoming the forthcoming Scottish Apology to the Witches of the Burning Times, and why celebrities (looking at you, Jennifer Aniston and Paris Jackson) starting covens and going public with their Witchcraft gets so poo-pooed - when it may not be a bad thing at all. There’s brilliant music in this episode - rock out to Amulet by Seawitch (the lyrics - Fiona Horne, you are a word witch indeed), and be enchanted by not one but TWO Wendy Rule songs to take you far away from the mundane and into the realms of the elementals. It’s a joyous Witchcast this week, magickal ones, and Lucy would LOVE to have your company in the sonic sacred circle. If you are feeling love for the Witchcast please do leave a rating or a review on iTunes, or Spotify, or wherever you get the Witchcast. It make a huge difference - very grateful for the support.Songs: Amulet - SeawitchAre You Coming With Us - Wendy Rule and Gary StadlerThe Infinite Shore - Wendy Rule and Gary StadlerThankyou to the sponsors of the Witchcast - Kohli Tea, Primal Healing, Blue Angel Publishing and our new sponsor, Hemlock and Dagger by Kellie Pixie Ashton.Thankyou as always to Georgia Allison, to Shayne Brian for his production magick, and to ALL the PATREON supporters - you are gems! In this episode, we welcome back our first ever guest, Fiona Horne, to talk about her new book TEEN MAGICK. Fiona gives us the inside scoop on the process of rewriting this classic book from 2000 (originally published under the name Life's A Witch! A Handbook for Teen Witches) and then we discuss the developments of Witchcraft from the early 2000s to today, and what that means for the younger generation of Witches. TEEN MAGICK (Rockpool Publishing – February 2021) is a witchcraft guide for a new generation and offers insight and guidance for teen witches as they navigate this new and ever-changing world dominated by social media and technology. This gutsy guide takes teen witches on a journey of self-discovery – to dig deep and learn about all the magick that is inside of them, and then shine that magick into the world. “The brave Teen Witch questions everything,.. which is how they become magikal in the first place. (Teens).. are poised to make the most positive and far-reaching change in the way humans exist on the planet, and in the history of our species” – Fiona Horne - Teen Magick. Well if you weren't ready, you will be now as we chat with the one and only Fiona Horne from Season 2 of Australian Survivor! In this in-depth chat, Fiona goes over her random connection to a famous US player and why she wishes she knew more about the show to use that to her advantage once she was out in Vanuatu. Added to this a variety of other tidbits you won't want to miss, there really is no reason why you are still reading this and not listening! So get to downloading and broom yourself away on one magic episode!
Just how do you celebrate someone like Fiona Horne being voted out? Do you celebrate with a dance? A silent moment? Or both? How about with an epic episode going over an epic player that is the one and only white witch? Added to that, how about a dose of celebrating the one and only puppet master that is David Oldfield? Or perhaps going into detail why this episode is one of the most important in the history of Australian Survivor? If all of that sounds like a fun couple of hours, then there's no need to read your tarot cards to help you download this episode to keep you entertained!

Blessed be and welcome to the first soul to soul: connected conversation of 2021. Which is the one when two witches, namely Lucy, namely the legendary Fiona Horne, get together and get very intense about their shared love of sea witchery, the passions and pitfalls of growing up magickally, and how fate works its magick in the times of Covid. It's a very loose magickal conversation and it is completely frank, and we both get into territory that we think you'll relate to - and some that could be triggering as we discuss abuse, overcoming shame, and how trauma shaped us for so many years. There's a lot to discuss, a lot to move through, and a lot for Fiona to share - as her experiences have led to a book called Teen Witch, which hopes to empower young people (and the young at heart) with magick, ritual, spellcasting, and ways to really, really get comfortable in your own witchy skin. It's a great, burning, raw conversation, inspiring, warm, open and very very real, and we both hope you'll love it. Fiona is touring the country both in person and virtually all throughout March so go to her website www.fionahorne.com or to her socials to find out when and where you can connect with her, and her insightful perspective on how to help raise healthy, magickal people. Honestly, if you have teenagers, you MUST listen to this episode. Music this week is in the form of a track from her Def FX Days - I'll be Your Magick and a very tantalising sneak peek for Fiona's new recordings with her new band, Seawitch. The song is Initiation and the lyrics are drawn from Fiona's Book of Shadows. It's heavy, gorgeous, and powerful pagan rock. As always huge gratitude and love and thanks to all the Lucy Cavendish Patreon supporters, and to all the keen listeners who've written in, and to Talented Producer Shayne for making Lucy's kitchen sound like a magickal recording studio! Warning, I had some troubles with the audio on my end for this one. My guest this week is famous Witch, Fiona Horne! Also a rockstar, pilot, actress, and former Playboy model, Fiona Horne has authored many books including The Art of Witch, The Naked Witch, and Witch: A Magickal Journey. We talked about what it means to be a Witch, the fundamentals of Witchcraft, and it’s relationship to Yoga and right living. See more about Fiona here: https://www.fionahorne.com/
our talk with the most interesting Witch in the world
It's pretty safe to say that Fiona Horne was the first witch to come out of the (broom) closet and into the public eye in Australia. We first crossed paths over twenty years ago when I did her hair and makeup for a photo shoot to launch “Witch: A Personal Journey”; the first offering in what has become a constant stream of esoteric wiccan writings ever since. At the time, she was already a household name as lead vocalist of the popular rock ensemble “Def FX”, but still, stepping out to present her private practices and beliefs – albeit to an already established and adoring audience – took a lot of guts. Luckily, heart and courage are qualities this conscious soul has in spades. Three decades, fourteen books, oracle cards, an autobiography, one commercial pilot's license and a yoga teaching certification later – plus a new band called “Seawitch” – she continues to inspire both budding and seasoned witches around the world with her no-nonsense approach and down-to-earth wisdom. She is currently promoting her latest body of work, 'Teen Magick - Witchcraft for a New Generation' (Rockpool Publishing - Released 17 February), a compilation of historical revelations, sacred rites and healing rituals to support and inspire the next generation of (male and female) witches. I have no doubt it will be another best seller for this modern medicine woman. You can find Fiona at https://www.facebook.com/fionahorneofficial, https://www.fionahorne.com/ and on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/captainfifi/. In the Music Real E64, the team catches up with Fiona Horne, lead singer of chart-topping Aussie 90's electro-rock band, Def FX, author several best-selling books on Modern Witchcraft. She is a popular radio and television personality, appearing on many programs around the world and is a commercial pilot, donating her personal time to fly humanitarian aid and animal rescue. Fiona returned to Australia from the Caribbean in the middle of the COVID lockdowns and we spoke to her while she was quarantined in a hotel for 14 days. Suffice to say, we all felt lighter after our chat with her. She is one person who can make any situation magical. We look forward to her next book release. Make sure you check out her website. https://themusicreal.com.au/2020/07/03/fiona-horne-creating-magic-in-lockdown/

Fiona and I have an awesome chat about living a magical life and how to really do that. Hint: It isn't to do with having all the bells and whistles. It is more about living in alignment with self. Two things we are both passionate about. Enjoy.
Hello again witches, seekers, and friends and thanks for tuning in to episode 50 of The Fat Feminist Witch Podcast! Today I've got a brand new interview with Fiona Horne, who I chatted with before about her autobiography The Naked Witch. This time we touch on her NEW book The Art of Witch, and her recent tour through Australia performing spoken word from the new book and playing with her 90s electro-rock band DEF FX. Today's episode is coming out on this very marvellous moon-day because today July 22nd, Fiona's first-ever oracle deck is being released in the UK and North America! The Magick of You Oracle features art by Marcela Bolivar and was created to help you navigate your own path of self-discovery, especially when that takes you through periods of darkness. Each card also has an accompanying ritual so you can work magic with the aid of the cards. Get The Magick of You Oracle from Amazon. Just like my previous chat with Fiona, this interview is inspirational, funny, and just so magical. Fiona is a captivating speaker and artist and it's always a pleasure to have her on the show. Meet Australian Fiona Horne... Rock Star, Pilot... And Modern Witch.
Hey yo, so I had a chance to chat with Fiona Horne recently. Fiona is widely recognized as a leading expert on modern witchcraft, and she’s also an accomplished television and radio personality, singer/songwriter and author. She actually recently released her autobiography here in the US. It’s called The Naked Witch, which has a double meaning, seeing as how Fiona is well-known for posing in Playboy magazine, and also because she exposes herself in a different way on the pages of this book. The Naked Witch on IndieBound Fiona’s website Music: The Gun Club - "She's Like Heroin to Me"
The Naked Witch An Autobiography with Fiona Horne Fiona Horne launched a career in the entertainment industry as the founder and lead singer of the Australian '90s rock band Def FX. She has authored a number of best-selling books about modern Witchcraft and was a popular radio and television personality appearing on programs around the world, including the SYFY Channel’s Mad Mad House. Now a commercial pilot (multi-engine rated), world record-holding skydiver, professional fire dancer, yogini, freediver and scuba diver, Fiona volunteers her free time as an outreach program coordinator and humanitarian aid worker flying school supplies, building tools and clothing to impoverished communities. Fiona spent the '90s as Rock Goddess and lead singer for Def FX, which took the chart-topping group out of home-based Australia to the United States and Japan. But for all the accomplishments in Fiona’s extraordinarily fulfilling life, perhaps her greatest sense of accomplishment is, as she said in her interview with Shelley Seddon in Stellar magazine recently, “For all the things I haven't done well, there’s one thing I have done really well—and that’s survive.” For more info visit: www.fionahorne.com ************************************************* For more information about BITEradio products and services visit: http://www.biteradio.me/index.html

Thanks for tuning in to the very first episode of The Fat Feminist Witch Podcast for 2018! I am so so excited to be back and even more excited to be talking with today's guest - Fiona Horne. You other 90s and early 2000s wiccans might remember Fiona from her books on witchcraft like WITCH: A MAGICAL JOURNEY (which just got a re-release!) or WITCHIN: A HANDBOOK FOR TEEN WITCHES (my personal fave) or even as the lead singer of electrorock group DEF FX. Whether or not you recognize her name you'll love hearing Fiona's amazing life story both in this interview and more so in The naked Witch, her new autobiography. Resilience and transformation are going to be big themes for me with The Fat Feminist Witch this year,, and Fiona is the perfect person to kick start that as we talk rockstardom, dealing with loss, transformation, and why she is definitely a f%ing feminist!
