This week we officially close the book on Nicolas Cage and open the door to our next cinematic obsession: Tom Cruise. We talk about why he's the natural successor for our watch‑a‑thon, what makes him such a fascinating screen presence, and how we're tackling his filmography from the very beginning. We also dive into Stranger Things. The characters, the themes, and how the show evolved across four seasons - before taking a quick look back at our January watchlists to see what actually stuck with us.Plus, we debut our first ever Short Short Film Film Review, kicking things off with The Second Time Around (2025). And to start the Cruise journey properly, we revisit his blink‑and‑you‑miss‑it debut in Endless Love (1981).Movies, TV, short films, and the start of a brand‑new actor deep dive. We really cram it in this week.

Tis the season, or so it seems, to reflect on all I wish I'd done differently. While these breakups and ruptures I speak of are from a few years back, the things I wish I'd done around them to better integrate the pain and learn from my own mistakes, still (very much) ring true in life. First and foremost, I wish I hadn't mainlined so much self help content, such that I drowned out my own lived experience from the loss. Second, I wish I'd had more intimate and difficult conversations with those that I hurt, those I faced conflict with, and those that I was losing.Connect with me on Substack: https://claraartschwager.substack.com/Work with me PrivatelyConnect on InstagramWebsitePodcast Production by James Jorge

Ah, what better way is there to enjoy the summer than to toss random Halfling Hopefuls through the warm, breezy air and to hear their bones crinkle as they hit the ground! This month, there is a LOT of stunty talk, but also a catch up with recent tournament results! The Golden Tentacle, the Tacoma Open, the Golden Sausage... all need to be dissected! This includes special interviews with the Renegade Halfling Mafia, Dan and Damion, as well as a check in with Cale Lemay (aka The Best Canadian) and Justin Gatner! Let us lay out our picnic basket so that you can all enjoy a little sausage and, of course, stunty talk!
Potent Affairs & Unspoken Flings The air signs are breathing in all kinds of chaotic clarity this week. This ain't just “The Air Up There”—this is the tea in the clouds, the whispers in the wind, and the lust riding on the breeze. Gemini, Libra, Aquarius—y'all got an affair that's messier than a group chat with no receipts. What starts with a justice card and a side of Usher quickly spirals into protected lust, sneaky links, possible pregnancies, and some seriously potent energy (yes, Spirit said potency loud and clear). Somebody's living a double life and catching deeper feelings than they meant to, and I got questions like: Who's guarding what truth? Who got who pregnant? And how y'all always got time for this much sex? This reading is a whirlwind—part scandal, part soul lesson, part cosmic rom-com. One thing's for sure: the truth always floats up... in The Air Up There. #TheAirUpThere #AirSignReading #GeminiLibraAquarius #TarotScandal #PotentAffairEnergy #ProtectedButMessy #SneakyLinksAndSpiritualDownloads #SeerineTarot #SpiritualEntanglement #TarotWithTea
It's a Tuesday full of dating disasters and questionable decisions. Tyler's love life takes a hard left as he starts dating someone way too close to home, and the crew dives into the most embarrassing things our listeners have ever done in a relationship. Oh, and Fletch is casually in full yellow face paint — because why not? Buckle up, it's messy, it's awkward, and it's everything you need in a midweek podcast fix.
Happy Monday everyone! Today I tell you about some great dates I went on with a guy who was weird at texting and couldn't hang well with my friends. My intuition was right about him, and if he wanted to really date me, he would. We also hear some Summer of Outside stories from boats in the Midwest and professional athlete flings in the Northeast. And lastly, Steve did a survey of 100 single women and made a game for us about the biggest red flag names for guys (Sorry 'J' names).

260: “I don't do well with vague, fluffy information. So when people just say, 'Oh, you know, I had a hard time and I learned a lesson and did some therapy and did this and that. And then I just woke up and I just realized it was gone.' I'm like, what did you do? How long did it take? How much money did you spend? What support systems did you have? Those are the nitty gritty details that have helped me. And so to be in service, I want to offer that to you too." It's your favorite episode of the year - the annual HONEST YEAR IN REVIEW: Personal Edition (be sure to check out 2023's recap episode and compare notes - was there actual progress made?) Chelsea invites all her 2024 skeletons in the closet onto the airwaves today, sharing everything from situationships (not again! didn't we learn?!), casual sex (or lack thereof), sober (kinda), and the inner demons she's tackling head on. Snippets from the episode: On Relationships: "The lesson I learned from this is that you do need to communicate early on and often, and you cannot use physical intimacy as the glue and the prayer, if you will, that you're going to end up together." On Sobriety: "Being sober, you have no excuse to say, 'OMG, I just said that because I was drunk.' It makes you reflect a lot." On Financial Goals: "Set a goal that is beyond yourself. Paying off debt and getting to zero is cool, but I needed something more emotional, like taking my family to Japan." On Travel and Intentionality: " If you're trying to pick a place to live, think about somewhere that you like who you are or you feel expanded or inspired to become who you want to be." On Budgeting: "Budgeting is just planning out your finances and putting your money where you want it to go. It's about controlling your money instead of your money controlling you." This episode is full of the nitty gritty of Chelsea's personal life, so if you want to know what goes on BTS of a digital nomad, entrepreneur, writer, podcast host and lover of life - this episode is for you. Greetings, Buff fans, from CU at the Game! This is Stuart Whitehair, publisher and editor for the CU at the Game website, and your host for the CU at the Game podcast.March was a kind month to the University of Colorado, with the CU ski team winning its 21st national championship, and the CU men's and women's basketball teams both earning NCAA tournament berths for the first time since 2013. The CU football team, not to be outdone, opened its second set of spring practices under Coach Prime, earning some national headlines of their own. I am joined for this podcast by Brad Geiger and Neil Langland, and we begin by taking a look at some of the national stories surrounding Coach Prime this spring, including his book tour, the national story about his not taking off-campus visits to the homes of potential recruits, and his weighing in his players and the NFL Draft. We then shift back to campus and CU's spring practices, with a review of the comments made by Coach Prime, offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur, and defensive coordinator Robert Livingston. We next discuss whether CU fans should be raving about men's basketball coach Tad Boyle's accomplishments ... or whether this season is further proof that the Buffs under Boyle have a glass ceiling of success. We finish up with a tribute to the remarkable tournament run made by the CU women's team after a rough end to their regular season. It's always great to be a Buff, but even more so this spring. But ... is this as good as it gets for CU fans, or are there even greater achievements ahead?Let's find out ...

As a gay man of faith, you've made the decision to remain closeted and celibate according to your personal beliefs. But attention from a younger, attractive colleague lured you down a temporary path of temptation from which you've mostly recovered — though a few lurid lapses leave doubts lingering that you can separate the friendship you value with this person from the physical urges you have when you're around him. What should you do? We'll tackle this and more here on Feedback Friday! And in case you didn't already know it, Jordan Harbinger (@JordanHarbinger) and Gabriel Mizrahi (@GabeMizrahi) banter and take your comments and questions for Feedback Friday right here every week! If you want us to answer your question, register your feedback, or tell your story on one of our upcoming weekly Feedback Friday episodes, drop us a line at friday@jordanharbinger.com. Now let's dive in! On This Week's Feedback Friday, We Discuss: As a gay man of faith who's chosen to remain closeted and celibate, can you maintain a platonic friendship with the young man who's tempted you toward physical intimacy on more than a few occasions? The founders of your company regularly write shoddy, misspelled, grammatically primitive emails to clients. How can you address this diplomatically before they drive all business away to your more competent competitors? You hoped that co-owning a cottage with your mother and sister would bring you closer together, but it seems to have only complicated your relationship with them. How can you exit the situation gracefully? Your significant other is addicted to online gambling, and uses your debit and credit cards to fund this addiction. Is it possible to put a stop to this — and maybe salvage the relationship — before you go completely broke? [Thanks to Haesue Jo, Head of Clinical Support at BetterHelp, for helping us with this one!] How do you handle public criticism on social media from a well-known person in your industry who dislikes you?
