The Love for Oatmeal Oatmeal is a beloved staple for a segment of the population, with enthusiasts consuming it daily. Moodify offers a range of six oatmeal flavors designed to improve your mood and overall well-being. Diet and Outlook Christine highlights how dietary choices can significantly impact one's outlook on life and emotional well-being. The idea for Moodify was born during the pandemic, as Christine and her team sought to understand shifting eating habits. Research and Insights A pivotal moment came when Christine discovered a study involving 2,000 people, revealing their desire for foods that support brain health. This insight led to the concept of "Good Mood Food," a novel idea with untapped potential. Ingredients for a Better Mood Moodify's products include grains, nuts, coffee, ginger, and berries – all real whole foods, without the addition of extra sugar. Christine's decision not to use adaptogens was due to their unappealing taste. Distribution and Market Expansion Moodify initially launched as a direct-to-consumer (DTC) product in Denver, serving as a test market. The brand expanded its presence to college campuses, cafes, and hotels, receiving positive feedback. Currently available in Southern California's natural grocery stores like Gelson's. Retail Strategies Christine shares the retail strategies employed to encourage consumers to try Moodify products, including price promotions and product demos. The Importance of Texture Christine emphasizes that texture plays a vital role in Moodify's success in winning over consumers. Future Innovations Moodify has its sights set on future innovations, potentially branching out into bars or cookies while staying true to its Good Mood Food concept. In this episode I'm focusing on good mood foods, because there is no doubt that what we eat can have a huge impact on our brain and cognitive function. Mood swings, anxiety and brain fog are incredibly common issues for women in their early 40s onwards, which can come as an unwelcome surprise. And while there's no doubt that your hormones are playing a big part in this, the right diet and lifestyle can play a huge part in helping correct the balance so that you get your brain back on an even keel. I've decided to go solo for this podcast so I can focus specifically on my own area of expertise, which is nutrition. I'm sharing 8 ways that your food choices can help to calm your nerves, regulate your mood and clear your brain, so that your neurotransmitters are fully fired up!Tune in to find out why it's important to boost the B's, maximise magnesium, power up the protein and be good to your gut and I'll give you some practical tips on how to do all that. I set a fun foodie challenge for you as well – you'll have to listen in to find out what that is, but I promise that you'll enjoy it!If you've enjoyed the podcast, please give it 5-star rating and a short review on Apple podcasts, or whichever platform you listen on. And do tell your friends and family about it too. I'd be so grateful, because it really does make a huge difference to the visibility of the podcast, so that more women can find the show. After all, every woman deserves to have a happy menopause. Thanks so much for listening, bye for now!

Ainsley Harriott joins Jaega Wise to share his 'Life Through Food' from his kitchen in South London. Ainsley is one of the UK's most recognisable TV chefs; after training at Westminster College he worked at a number of London's hotels and restaurants - including The Long Room at Lords Cricket Ground where he became head chef. In the early 90s he got his first broadcasting gigs - on BBC Radio 5, and shortly afterwards "tv came knocking". Over the past 25 years he has hosted countless programmes - including Can't Cook Won't Cook and Ready Steady Cook for a decade. He has presented series for US and South African television, been a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, and was awarded an MBE in 2020. His latest TV series, 'Ainsley's Good Mood Food' is all about cooking food to boost your mood. In this interview, Ainsley takes us back to the early days of family dinner parties, a summer in France, and his journey to TV stardom. He also discusses what it's like to be the subject of many many memes and where he finds his seemingly perpetual energy. Jaega also speaks to school friend and the other half of Ainsley's 90s pop group The Calypso Twins, Paul Baross, and hears from Ainsley superfan, Radio 1 Breakfast DJ Greg James, who's obsession with Ainsley turned him into a viral sensation. Presented by Jaega Wise Produced in Bristol by Natalie Donovan

Can you achieve better mental health through food?Like an expensive car, your brain functions best when it gets only premium fuel. Eating high-quality foods that contain lots of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants nourish the brain and protect it from stress. When we deprive our brains of good nutrition, we thus tip the scales against us and increase the frequency of mood swings, panic attacks, anxiety, and depression. The food choices we make can truly help improve our mental well-being. Today, we’ll discuss a mineral that over 98% of Americans are deficient in and how lack of it can be holding us back from being free from mental wellness issues. Millions of us are living with anxiety as if it’s no big deal. We treat it like another aspect of our personality and push it aside. Racing heartbeat? That’s normal. Sleepless nights? I’ll survive with a little caffeine. It’s time to change how we approach our emotional health. WE MAY BE DONE WITH THE PAST, BUT THE PAST IS NOT DONE WITH US, and we can’t just rely on one wellness modality when we are working on healing. Your food choices and your emotional health are absolutely linked. It has been established that specific foods can help reduce anxiety symptoms, so what good mood food do we need to be putting more of on our plates right now?
