Joe Biden couldn't remember when he was vice president, according to a new report. And, according to the same investigation, he couldn't remember when his son died. Then, when trying to reassure everyone about the claims about his memory, he confused the presidents of Mexico and Egypt. Not ideal for someone who wants to run for president - and even worse for someone already doing the job. So what has the speculation done for his election chances this year - and for those of his rival, Donald Trump? Yalda Hakim presents this Sky News Daily with political strategist Hilary Rosen and pollster Scarlett Maguire. After another holiday marred by tragedy, President Biden vows to do more to stop gun violence. Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut sits down with Dana to examine the prospects for more gun reform in a lame duck Congress. They also discuss why existing gun laws in Colorado and Virginia weren't enough to prevent the shootings from happening. Also, Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson joins Dana to respond to former President Trump's decision to host rap artist Ye and a prominent white supremacist for dinner at Mar-a-Lago. Gov. Hutchinson also previews his message for Republicans as he weighs running for president in 2024. Plus, Rep. Adam Schiff joins Dana to respond to reported tension within the House January 6th Select Committee over what to include in its final report. Rep. Schiff also comments on House Republican Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy's pledge to kick him off the House Intelligence Committee. After, the panel joins Dana to discuss the Georgia Senate runoff election, what lessons Democrats should learn from the midterm elections, and Trump's meeting with Ye and a white nationalist holocaust denier at Mar-a-Lago. Today's panel includes Hilary Rosen, Kristen Soltis Anderson, Marc Short, and Ashley Allison. To learn more about how CNN protects listener privacy, visit cnn.com/privacy
Democratic strategist Hilary Rosen predicted disastrous results for her party — and she said that they only had themselves to blame after repeatedly failing to “listen to voters” in the weeks and months leading up to Tuesday's midterm elections. Rosen joined a panel discussion, moderated by host Dana Bash, on CNN's “State of the Union” — and she predicted that Democrats were likely to have “a bad night” on Tuesday, largely because they had not tailored their midterm message to the issues that voters had said were most important — namely inflation and the economy.
Democrats are going to have a "bad night" Tuesday because they didn't "listen" to voters, predicts Democratic strategist and CNN political commentator Hilary Rosen. https://bit.ly/3UKsbTz #ArtMoore #WNDNewsCenter #MidTermElection #Nov8GeneralElection #Democrats #CNNPanelist #HilaryRosen #President #JoeBiden #Democracy #Republicans #VancouverWa #ClarkCountyWa #ClarkCountyNews #ClarkCountyToday
The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 3: CNN political commentator Hilary Rosen stated that she believes Democrat messaging, which emphasized protecting Democracy and failed to consistently address economic concerns, will end up costing the party seats in the House and Senate. Could the Amish community, which typically abstains from voting, potentially boost Pennsylvania Gubernatorial candidate Doug Mastriano? FiveThirtyEight forecasting simulations currently indicate that Josh Shapiro has a 97% chance of beating Mastriano. On Sunday, Philadelphia rallied around the “Chickenman”—a guy who randomly decided to eat an entire rotisserie chicken every day for 40 consecutive days. Hundreds of Philadelphians showed up to an abandoned pier in South Philly to watch history unfold. Jennifer Stefano—Executive Vice President of the Commonwealth Foundation & Columnist at the Philadelphia Inquirer—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss the impact frustrated parents will have on the midterm elections. Stefano notes that Democrat candidates across the state of Pennsylvania refuse to endorse school choice policies, while concurrently sending their own children to expensive private schools.
The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Show (11/08/2022): 3:05pm- Last week, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled that election officials cannot count mail-in ballots that are incorrectly dated. On Monday night, John Fetterman's campaign filed a legal challenge arguing that mail-in ballots should be counted regardless of proper dating—claiming that rejecting ballots is a violation of the First and Fourteenth Amendments. The Philadelphia Inquirer estimates that “tens of thousands” Pennsylvania ballots may be improperly dated. 3:30pm- On CNN, host Don Lemon and political commentator Michael Smerconish explained that they sometimes forget what day it is—arguing that mail-in ballots without a date should be counted in Pennsylvania. 3:40pm- Tom Szymanski—New Jersey Republican State Committee Executive Director—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss Election Day in the Garden State. In Mercer County, NJ, scanning machines aren't working properly—will this impact how long it takes to get final vote tabulations? 4:05pm- According to FiveThirtyEight forecasting simulations, Republicans have a 59% chance of taking control of the U.S. Senate—with Dr. Mehmet Oz (57%), Hershel Walker (63%), and J.D. Vance (87%) all projected to win their races. But will Hershel Walker's Georgia race against incumbent Senator Raphael Warnock head to a runoff election? 4:25pm- According to Gallup polling, 73% of Republicans believe the COVID-19 pandemic is over—while only 21% of Democrats share that belief. 4:35pm- Jason Snead—Executive Director of the Honest Elections Project—joins the show to discuss his latest editorial on Daily Caller, “Pennsylvania is On the Verge of a Midterm Meltdown.” Snead writes of Pennsylvania elections, “antiquated procedures and weak safeguards continue to leave Pennsylvania's election process vulnerable to delays, confusion, mischief and ponderous litigation that could drag the results out for weeks — or longer.” How long should Pennsylvanians expect to wait before they have a definitive outcome for the U.S. Senate race between Dr. Mehmet Oz and Lt. Gov. John Fetterman? 4:50pm- According to the Tax Foundation's 2023 State Business Tax Climate Index, New Jersey is the worst state in the country for taxes. 5:00pm- CNN political commentator Hilary Rosen stated that she believes Democrat messaging, which emphasized protecting Democracy and failed to consistently address economic concerns, will end up costing the party seats in the House and Senate. 5:10pm – Could the Amish community, which typically abstains from voting, potentially boost Pennsylvania Gubernatorial candidate Doug Mastriano? FiveThirtyEight forecasting simulations currently indicate that Josh Shapiro has a 97% chance of beating Mastriano. 5:20pm- On Sunday, Philadelphia rallied around the “Chickenman”—a guy who randomly decided to eat an entire rotisserie chicken every day for 40 consecutive days. Vance, former President Donald Trump teased a “very big” announcement on November 15th at Mar-a-Lago. Will he be announcing a 2024 presidential run? 6:10pm- Radio host Howard Stern baselessly argued that if Republican candidate Hershel Walker wins a U.S. Senate seat, America will experience another civil war. 6:30pm- Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was forced to apologize to her followers after failing to have her “preferred pronouns” featured in her Twitter biography. 6:35pm- White House Press Secretary Karine Jean Pierre warned that Americans may not know the outcome of many major elections for several days after polls close. 6:55pm- Who Won Social Media? + Zeoli's Final Thought
In this episode of The Bald Brad Show, the Democrats messaging going into midterms is something you won't believe. A longtime Democratic strategist issued a dire warning to Democrats ahead of the 2022 midterm elections. Hilary Rosen, a self-described "strong, progressive Democrat" – slammed her own political party for not listening to voters. She then contradicts herself after Former Mike Pence Chief of Staff Marc Short took gabs at the Democrats performance over the last two years. Furthermore, President Joe Biden (D) snapped at a young woman who attended a political rally that he hosted on Sunday at Sarah Lawrence College in New York for gubernatorial candidate Kathy Hochul. “No more drilling. There is no more drilling,” Biden snapped at a young woman in the crowd. “I haven't formed any new drilling.” Lastly, Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) said during an interview on Sunday that those who do not vote against so-called “election deniers” are Nazis.
Today is the day! Today the midterm 2022 red wave washes across this glorious nation of ours, like the waters cleansing the Tower of Isengard. Today we see if the Democrat strategy of fear and division wins out over the solutions and policies of the GOP. And, let's not forget, most of the Republican candidates on so many ballots were supported by the DNC early in the primaries because they were supposed to be the more easily beaten candidates. First, though, I have to start with a ridiculous comment from White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre about the memo she released trying to walk-back President Joe Biden's commitment to close all coal mining in America. While we discussed her memo on yesterday's show, she was asked to explain the reason for the memo yesterday afternoon in a briefing. Her answer is both patently ridiculous and intellectually vapid. But, that's what we've grown to expect from our eminently qualified Press Secretary. Next, we listen to Democrat Strategist and CNN Political Analyst Hilary Rosen who suggests the terrible beating they are going to get is because they forgot to listen to the voters. It's amazing to consider, but she is correct. The leadership, from Joe Biden on down, has chosen to turn deaf ears to the issues the voters have been saying are foremost on their minds. While Democrat leaders convinced themselves abortion, LGBTQ+ and the Green New Deal are winning messages, the electorate, on both sides of the aisle, has been more concerned with inflation, energy prices and violent crime. When it comes down to it, most voters vote their pocketbooks and their own self-interests. This isn't new. Yet, the Democrat Party made a decision to ignore history. The Washington Post's Catherine Rampell also penned a piece with a very similar message. You know it's bad when the WaPo is writing negative pieces about the Democrat Party. She says, "For nearly two years, Democrat leadership has often pushed aside politically inconvenient developments rather than facing them head-on. They have often told themselves stories they want to believe instead of stories that are true." In Gainesville, GA, a woman told Fox News she always voted for the Democrats, but after voting for Joe Biden and seeing what he's done, she "had her eyes opened." She saw how he handled the retreat from Afghanistan and the policies that hurt the economy. For the first time, she voted a straight Republican ticket. This is reflected now on every major poll in the Real Clear Politics average except for Politico/Morning Consult and NBC. Every other poll shows a red wave, save for those two who are clinging to the delusion mentioned in Catherine Rampell's piece. They have no accomplishments to tout. They are not running on what they have done. The message is, "Democracy is on the ballot,' and "It will take days and days and days to count the votes." That's it. That's the Democrat message as we vote in the 2022 midterms. When the dust clears, it will be interesting to see if they learn their lesson, as Hilary Rosen hopes, or if they will continue to delude themselves that a majority of Americans want an Authoritarian regime, bordering on Marxist/Socialist principles. I have a 21 year, single malt scotch waiting for me if their hopes are dashed in spectacular fashion tonight. Take a moment to rate and review the show and then share the episode on social media. Clay and Buck are together in Nashville for their Election Day coverage. Kathy Hochul confronted by MSNBC anchor who doesn't feel safe in New York, Zeldin mocks Times Square Gun-Free Zone sign. The time has come to deliver a big, red reckoning. Clay says, "Now is the time to have conversations with people who agree with you politically, but may not be as likely as you to vote." Top House Democrat James Clyburn doubles down on comparing America to Nazi Germany. Dem strategist Hilary Rosen admits her party didn't listen to voters. Democrat Tim Ryan shoots gun in ad. Biden says we're going to shut down coal plants all across America, just as it will most likely be most expensive winter ever to heat your home. Joe Manchin tees off on Biden coal comments, will he switch parties? Buck says, "Joe Manchin wants to ride on the sanity train for a while. We're not forgetting about his socialist comments, though. Not letting it go: He sold out his state." How dare she? The “Political Misfits” come in hot today with some strong words for Joe Biden surrogate Hilary Rosen. Rosen tried to explain Martin Luther King Jr. to Sanders surrogate Nina Turner, who was having none of it. But who allowed Biden to take the civil-rights-defender lane? Also in the “more where this came from” category: the coronavirus! K.J. Noh, a scholar, peace activist and contributor to several media organizations, joined the misfits to warn that the US is woefully unprepared. While China was mobilizing every resource to deal with the novel disease, the US was trying to score political points. Now, the US population is going to pay for this leadership gap. And not only in human health terms - prepare to see the US economy take a hit even worse than what China is suffering. Our as-yet-uninfected hosts also had some strong opinions about Maddow’s softball interview with Warren, where the two once again wrung their hands and furrowed their brows over online meanies. Where is that consternation over the millions of Americans living in poverty, the tens of thousands suffering and dying because they can’t access health care? Enough fretting over memes and internet insults. There are real, life and death issues at stake. Top Scot Alan MacLeod, author and member of the Glasgow University Media Group, chimed in on the latest media hit pieces. Sanders’ latest crime is taking part in a sister cities program encouraged by Ronald Reagan during the Cold War to promote human contacts between the hostile great powers. Sanders could just as easily be called a hero for fighting the terrifying military buildup and tension on both sides, but in this xenophobic atmosphere, any Russian outreach, even from decades past, becomes suspect. Are all Peace Corps volunteers soon to be jailed as spies? The gents also get a laugh out of NPR’s assertion that Sputnik and its sister stations are working to elect Sanders, and wonder where is the appetite for media criticism that turns its lens on NPR’s corporate colleagues.

Next, Hilary Rosen, David Urban, Karen Finney and Doug Heye join Dana to look ahead to next week's impeachment schedule and break down the latest in the 2020 election. Finally, Dana asks: As presidential candidates make their cases to the American voters, who is the Obama 2.0 of the 2020 campaign?

The trio also discusses emerging political issues like self-driving vehicles and encryption, and why, for Trump, the New York Times is still more important than Twitter. Chuck & Patrick discuss Chuck's contention that Obama will try to raise taxes in a second term which Patrick calling this "propaganda." They interview Jackie Salit, political independent organizer and author of Independents Rising. Chuck accuses Jackie and her group of being shills for Obama. Chuck discusses with Patrick a comment made by Democratic operative Hilary Rosen that Ann Romney "never worked a day in her life." Chuck and Patrick interview Robert Zubrin, author of Merchants of Dispaiir who traces the role of the idea of scarcity through the progressive movement starting with Thomas Malthus, the father of population control, to Darwin's survival of the fittest, to Eugenics, to the Nazi and Communist progressive political experiments and to the present time with global warming, environmentalism and the rest. Patrick, who clearly did not read the book, tried to denounce Zubrin by focusing on one footnote in which Zubrin sited an article by a researcher who later changed her opinion. Patrick presented this as evidence that Zubrin's book was not honest, that his scholarship was questionable and that therefore the thesis which he presented should be ignored and rejected. Chuck contended that Patrick tried to change the subject by trying to discredit the author instead of discussing his thesis which appeared to make him uncomfortable.
