On parle désormais beaucoup d'un MacBook Pro qui serait le premier à intégrer un processeur M2. Alors successeur du MacBook Pro 13“ M1 ou petit frère des MacBook Pro 14 et 16 pouces ? Dans la foulée, Apple pourrait présenter un ou deux autres Mac dotés d'une nouvelle génération de puce Apple Silicon : un MacBook Air - bien qu'il soit toujours pressenti davantage pour le 2e semestre - et une version sur-vitaminée du Mac mini Apple Silicon avec notamment davantage de ports Thunderbolt 4 et le même connecteur MagSafe que sur l'iMac 24“ M1. Egalement au programme : Samsung se contente de rapprocher ses smartphones haut de gamme de la parité avec la gamme iPhone 13, avec l'annonce des Galaxy S22, S22+ et S22 Ultra. Beaucoup de nouvelles fonctions s'inspirent de l'iPhone, comme Live Sharing (SharePlay) ou AI Stéréo Depth Map (mode Portrait). Peuvent-ils faire de l'ombre aux iPhone ? Seule certitude : l'innovation est en panne du côté du Coréen. La pression sera d'autant plus forte sur Apple, pour la rentrée, au moment de la présentation de la gamme iPhone 14.
