The problem is, the new Drops, which include maps, characters, and premade encounters are not shareable. So even though D&D Beyond members have paid for Master Tier Access which runs around 55 bucks a year and is designed to allow you to share material…you can't.D&D Beyond says they are doing this to ensure that creators get paid, but isn't that the companies job? And if you tell people they are paying for a service like the Master Tier that allows sharing and then turn around and don't allow sharing that seems a little shady to me…but it is Hasbro so it tracks.I think the real question I have here for the gang is this. Hasbro recently cancelled a Dungeons and Dragons action game being developed by Giant Skull, the studio led by former Star Wars Jedi director Stig Asmussen, though Giant Skull is currently looking for a new publishing deal. Meanwhile, Hasbro CEO Chris Cocks has announced that more D&D crossover products are in the works, drawing inspiration from the success of Magic: The Gathering, and he described the upcoming space opera RPG Exodus as “D&D in space”. Separately, the United Wizards of the Coast union reported that WotC and Hasbro have hired a union avoidance firm and are conducting a daily anti-union campaign via email. Wizards of the Coast launched “Drops,” a new weekly and monthly feature providing content like maps, spells, and feats exclusively for D&D Beyond Hero and Master tier subscribers. While intended as a value-add, Drops content cannot be shared among campaign members using the Master tier subscription—the traditional core benefit of the service—and access is lost if a subscription is cancelled. D&D Beyond executives claim this restriction is a necessary tradeoff to ensure designers are paid, but this shift effectively encourages every player in a group to purchase a minimum Hero Tier subscription to access all player-facing material. Worlds Beyond Brawl is a campaign showcasing the One Page Rules Compatibility Program by offering over 500 3D printable models across 53 skirmish warbands from 18 miniature companies. All models are fully compatible with One Page Rules’ free games, Grimdark Future: Firefight and Age of Fantasy Skirmish, with custom stats provided on the Army Forge web app. The models are professionally supported and test-printed, available for personal use only, and are delivered to a user’s MyMiniFactory library upon pledging. Modiphius is running its “Press Start to Play” spring sale for the next 40 days, offering savings of up to 50% on a massive list of RPGs, board games, and accessories. The sale includes major titles such as Fallout: The Roleplaying Game, Star Trek Adventures 2E, and Dune: Adventures in the Imperium, as well as a large collection of Fallout miniatures. Recommended RPG highlights include Homeworld: Revelations, Infinity, and the pulp WWII title Achtung! Cthulhu. Dungeon Scrawl launched a free, instant, and browser-based map generator for TTRPGs that requires no installation or account. This easy-to-use mapmaking app is presented as a solution for Game Masters who need maps quickly during a session or a starting point for a new project. The feature uses procedural generation (not AI) to instantly create fully explorable, gridded dungeon maps. Users can customize the results by adjusting input criteria such as overall map size, layout style, room count, room size and shape, and corridor length and width.Every map generated is fully editable. Finished maps can be exported for use on any Virtual Tabletop (VTT), or they can be printed or broadcast to a TV/monitor using the “Send to Tabletop” tool for in-person games. The Random Dungeons feature is currently available in beta. Free RPG Day 2026 will take place on June 27th, featuring 30 unique tabletop RPG publishers and accessory makers who will provide free modules, quick start guides, and accessories to participating Friendly Local Game Stores. Publishers participating this year include Paizo (with a Pathfinder 2E and Starfinder 2E adventure), Chaosium, Darrington Press (with a Daggerheart adventure), and Marvel (with a Multiverse RPG preview). Wizards of the Coast (WotC) is signaling a massive strategic shift toward outsourcing the development of official *Dungeons & Dragons* content to third-party publishers, as evidenced by a recent job post for a “TRPG Publishing Lead”. This role is explicitly tasked with overseeing “externally developed D&D content, including adventures, campaign materials, guides, and artwork”. This change follows internal team restructuring, the adoption of a holistic D&D franchise model, and WotC’s recent decision to actively feature third-party products on D&D Beyond. Although WotC has previously worked with third-party designers for early D&D 5E supplements like “Hoard of the Dragon Queen” and “Princes of the Apocalypse” The practice was largely abandoned in 2016, making this an important new chapter in the company’s relationship with outside publishers. Paizo's Pathfinder launched a new subscription service called Paizo Printables on April 2, offering 3D printable miniature files and accompanying TTRPG content. The service provides two monthly subscription tiers—$4.99 and $9.99—with the higher tier including a welcome pack of 25 minis, a monthly themed pack, and digital rulebooks. Associate publisher Thurston Hillman stated that the primary goal is accessibility, bypassing the delays of physical production, and the new format offers Paizo the freedom to create niche, setting-specific miniatures. Ultimately, Paizo aims to use the platform to introduce exclusive rules content and new ancestries to the game in the future. A new physical and digital bundle is available for the Dune – Adventures in the Imperium RPG by Modiphius, with a portion of the proceeds supporting the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). The physical bundle includes the *Agents of Dune Deluxe Starter Set*, the Atreides collector's edition of the *Dune: Core Rulebook*, and an Arrakis-themed dice set. Most of the titles offered in the physical bundle seem to be sold out as of this post. The Kickstarter campaign for LOWLIFE: A DUNGEON DEGENERATES ROLE PLAYING GAME, by Sean Äaberg and Goblinko, is currently live and heading toward its funding goal. The project is a major expansion of the Dungeon Degenerates: Hand of Doom board game world, creating a full TTRPG described as “Grand Theft Auto meets Game of Thrones” and focused on “low drama” stories of survival in the dark fantasy continent of Bödengärd. The game utilizes a customized Old School Renaissance (OSR) engine with a d20 roll-low mechanic and features simultaneous, deadly combat. Key mechanics include tracking “Meat & Morale” as a combined resource—where the spirit often breaks before the body—and using “Heat” to track the players’ wanted level with local authorities. Jolene and Saul were on Youtube and came across a video by Dungeon Craft and he was talking about the future of D&D. He predicted that when a 6th edition of D&D comes out in the next few years it would be "Digital Only", meaning there would be no physical books and the only way to get the rules is going to be online. Specifically through the D&D Beyond. As evidence, he pointed to a Gizmoto article about how 'the latest now officially called D&D 5.5 looks a bit Video Gamey. He also quoted Chris Cocks President of Hasbro. So after watching this video Saul was convinced that the next incarnation of D&D will be All Digital. Jolene was not so convinced, which lead to a lengthy "discussion" and that became the basis for this episode. What would happen if the next D&D went all Digital? A massive dragon flew overhead, blocking out the sun momentarily and its sheer presence struck fear into the hearts of nearly everyone present, forcing them to panic and flee. After a bit of time, the heroes came back to their senses, but something changed in the Bakali. They began arguing with Snapjaw, and when they arrived at a river checkpoint, Snapjaw was taken by the Bakali guards. K'thriss and Elemier confronted the guards and tried to convince them to help. Bakali agreed but no one saw Snapjaw again. THey arrived at the Citadel of Karoc-Tor to find a massive encampment outside its walls. On one side the Bullywugs and on the other Bakali. The cult seems to be running things but the grunt work is completed by these two groups. With the appearance of a dragon, it has set everyone on edge. They send word back to Leosin Erlanthar, their Legion of Steele Akroatis or scout captain, then head toward the long houses. As Elemier tries to understand who is in charge of the Citadel when Rezmir is absent, the Bakali seem to ignore the question. There seems to be something off. They are led into the Citadel by Jamna and Garrith appearing as Bakali and are met inside by guards who show them to a room for recruits. After clearing it out they awoke cultists who were killed. Lucan feels pulled in the direction of the store room by Mishakal, and discovers Elemier in the storeroom and the heroes finishing up combat with Bakali in the Strong Room! Jamna leans in as they are talking and lets them know that they need to get out of there before they all return. Turns out there is a secret tunnel! They follow it out and into the jungle, following a marked trail. After a day of traveling deeper into the jungle, they ran across some natural dangers, a shambling mound, and even quicksand before arriving at what seems to be a deserted camp. As they were investigating the camp, Bakali arrived and engaged in combat. The heroes plowed through them, and captured one. They discussed the area and their aversion to the cult, when the Bakali thought perhaps these heroes could assist his people in liberating themselves from the cultists. They end up working together and Snapjaw, the Bakali leader of sorts, leads the heroes toward the Citadel of Karac-Tor. En route they were attacked by more crocodiles than they have ever seen in person, it seems the swamp itself is trying to stop them. Will the heroes snake it out of the swamp alive? At this point it seems the cult is ready to blame anyone for the death of their member even if it means manufacturing a reason. The heroes negotiate a solution to have her brought to Gander and turned over to the authorities. They make their way on this last leg of the trip and aside from regular road hazards and inclement weather, make it to Gander, finally. They let Elowyn go and she decides to head for the Temple of Paladine in Palanthas. The heroes meet up with Jamna and are all introduced to Seto. They decide to work together as they all are trying to discover more about the Cult and what they are planning with the stolen loot. The Cult's wagons are going to be headed East, and the heroes learn of Lord Winterholm starting a building campaign to rebuild the road from Winterholm to Gander. Construction is already underway and the heroes join up with the High Road Charter Company. They are ambushed on the way to Carnath House, the drop off point for tradesmen and supplies for the construction, and overcome the Bullywug's. Once at the roadhouse they realize some of the crates, specifically the cults’ loot crates are being stored in a secured area. The heroes deal with one furious cultist who calls out Gunner and as tensions are high, Bog Luck, the half-ogre who runs the construction effort, suggested Gunner retire to his room rather than have the cultists kill him. As Soto and Garrick discover a secret portal in the secure room, Bakali erupts from within. The heroes all come to help fight off the Bakali, but with the sounds of battle evident and the already high tension with the cultists, what will the heroes do? Then inadvertently wake an Ettin as Li'High communicates from the cliff that she wants K'thriss to join her. He tries to talk her down when another voice declares ownership of Li'High, and she disappears. The heroes do their best to track her to no avail. They decide to return and bury the corpse of Boros. Back at the caravan, Gunner notices one of the cultists recognizes him, and then points to a bracelet that a child has. Seemingly trying to start a problem, the cultists were let down as the heroes politely reclaim the bracelet and pay the travelers for it. That night, the cultists try to kill the party, but K'thriss informs on them, and the heroes overcome them. This does, however, create a problem. If they are known to be in the caravan still, the cultists might continue assassination attempts, alternatively, it also may blow up K'thriss' position. They decide to stay out of the caravan and follow to Witdel. Now at the town, a new hero joins the caravan, a Kagonesti paladin, a female gnome, and a male human with red tattoos he seems to be covering up on his head. This human joins the cultists caravan, and the gnome Jamna Gleamsilver offers to work with the heroes and the new Paladin, then a dead cultist body is found and the caravan, now under way to the next destination, is once again, in an upheaval. He tries to talk her down when another voice declares ownership of Li'High, and she disappears. The heroes do their best to track her to no avail. They decide to return and bury the corpse of Boros. Back at the caravan, Gunner notices one of the cultists recognizes him, and then points to a bracelet that a child has. Seemingly trying to start a problem, the cultists were let down as the heroes politely reclaim the bracelet and pay the travelers for it. That night, the cultists try to kill the party, but K'thriss informs on them, and the heroes overcome them. This does, however, create a problem. If they are known to be in the caravan still, the cultists might continue assassination attempts, alternatively, it also may blow up K'thriss' position. They decide to stay out of the caravan and follow to Witdel. Now at the town, a new hero joins the caravan, a Kagonesti paladin, a female gnome, and a male human with red tattoos he seems to be covering up on his head. This human joins the cultists caravan, and the gnome Jamna Gleamsilver offers to work with the heroes and the new Paladin, then a dead cultist body is found and the caravan, now under way to the next destination, it once again, in an upheaval. Shortly thereafter, a Niedar dwarf named Francis offers to buy the bracelet and the heroes become very suspicious, interrogating and taunting him. He ends up leaving and approaches Gunner offering to buy it one last time, and when rejected, he moves on. Later that day a mysterious fire is started as Boros quickly puts it out. The heroes begin to grow suspicious, as if there is a connection between the dwarf, the cultists and the fire. The next morning Gunner discovers his bracelet missing, and they immediately grow suspicious that it must be the dwarf. They make a plan to confront him, but instead, Li'High reveals she took one of the parcels that fell out of the crashed caravan a week back and opening it reveals a necklace. They offer it to the dwarf, but he is not trusting of the heroes after the way they treated him, and increasingly as they continue to pester him. Li'High leaves into the wilderness by herself and renounces her god Habbakuk, desiring to worship Chemosh, but not knowing how to make the connection with the new god while she is on the road, and inadvertently is connected by Morgion. She rebukes him, and they all continue to a roadhouse where they eat. Some local adventurers are hired to guard their old wagon in the caravan. They search some of the wagons and mark the cultist wagons for future reference, then they continue on for a few days ending up in a brutally cold rainstorm. They arrive at another road house only to be turned away, and the hired adventurers refuse to help. Li'High breaks into the upper level and is contacted by Morgion again, and this time accepts. He creates a half-cask of diseased ale which is unable to be refused. Upon touching it, she contracts the fatal disease but is protected as an agent of Morgion. She murders the people in the inn, then sets it on fire. While it’s burning she steals food from the inn, tossing it to Boros who contracts the same disease and dies with his friends watching, too afraid to approach and help him, believing they were helpless. Li'High flees into the wilderness, consumed by sorrow and an unwilling agent of Morgion.
