Today, on the Bearded Monkey Podcast, I sit down with Lisa Michelle Dee. We discuss a broad range of topics. This was the first ever full length video podcast, where I used Riverside.FM to record the show. Little ups and downs, but thanks to some editing by the wife, it turned out amazing! Lisa had a lot of obstacles to overcome on her path of life, but she shares some things that have worked for her during her journey. She encompasses exactly what the Bearded Monkey Podcast is all about. She pursues that Personal Excellence every day and has had doubters every step of the way. She chats about her life prior to Law Enforcement, her experiences once she joined the profession, her bodybuilding day to day and of course, the fact she is SOMEHOW a Patriots fan....As always, if you enjoyed the show, share the show and give us a rating. Thanks for tuning in and reach out if you may need anything! In today's episode, I speak to the amazing Lisa Michelle. I am so glad that I have gotten to know her since we began working together. Like many people, I have experienced my share of grief and difficult situations. This past week, our nation once again had to experience the shock and horror of another mass shooting. This episode had already been scheduled to be released and I know that this discussion is more important than ever. Lisa Michelle Zega is a Life Coach for Midlife Women of faith who are starting over after the death of a spouse or a divorce and are struggling with sadness and self-doubt. She helps them metabolize grief to retain all the nutrients, learning, and wisdom and release the waste, so they can begin again with joy and confidence. She was married to a pastor, divorced after 23 years of marriage and her boys stopped talking to her for nearly 6 years. Zega later buried a fiancé 5 months before their wedding day. She now lives with her handsome biker hubby, adorable Jack Russel, and creative stepson outside of Los Angeles and enjoys a renewed relationship with her grown sons. Listen as I speak with a powerful voice and advocate for the exploited. She is the founder of the amazing nonprofit Untethered Ministries, which guides women and children into inner-healing from sexual exploitation or trafficking, and Lily & Co., whose curated gifts and products are handcrafted by survivors. Every single day, someone is being trafficked by someone they know or by a complete stranger. It's not so easy to identify. As a community, we aren't looking at these issues or people with a clear lens. We aren't looking to see where the force, fraud, and/or coercion are taking place. Hot Pie Media is an on-demand digital audio/video entertainment network with interests primarily in the creation of original, relevant and entertaining podcasts. Human trafficking expert and social justice advocate, Antoinette Villarreal, exposes the brutal world of human trafficking, sexual predators and pedophilia. Antoinette lobbies to change the human trafficking laws and provides outlets for survivors who have experienced these heinous crimes. Antoinette talks to several guests, including policymakers and survivors of human trafficking. In these discussions, the fraud and coercion of these predators are brought to life. Predators prey on the victim's vulnerability, hence why pedophilia is so prominent within human trafficking. Human trafficking is a crime, but there are still policies in place that protect the predator and keep the victim in slavery. It is people like Antoinette who advocate for survivors and create change to stop human trafficking. Within human trafficking, there are two different kinds: labor trafficking and sex trafficking. Antoinette delves into the dark worlds of both forms of slavery, into the twisted lies, fraud and coercion that often lead children and women into pedophilia and slavery. Human trafficking is hidden in plain sight and many of the survivors are left unreported. Antoinette urges us to say something if we see something. If you notice any force, report it. If you notice any fraud, report it. Human trafficking is modern-day slavery. Inhumane discusses the fraud and coercion predators use to capture vulnerable victims. Antoinette calls on her listeners to act and help stop the predators who perpetuate this slavery. In This Episode Caregiver grief and stress often manifest in ways that are mistaken for other things. What looks like a bad attitude, anger, or indifference could actually be unrecognized grief. We generally associate grief with death but any kind of loss, including the loss of life as you knew it and can trigger grief. My GuestMy guest for this episode is Lisa Michelle Zega of https://www.legityou.com/ (LegitYou) I invited her to join me for a conversation about grief because I relate to her unique perspective about it and I think you will too. I promise this conversation will make you think and it may even give you an "aha moment" or two. When Lisa Michelle was a little girl, she would spend the weekends at a neighbor's house to get away from the abuse that was happening in her home. Her neighbor was a trusted individual in the community who ran the local mortuary. What no one knew, though, was that this trusted neighbor was actually a pedophile who sexually exploited Lisa and others. I first met Lisa at a women's event in San Antonio, TX, called Fear Into Faith, and when I heard her story, I knew at that moment I had to have her on the podcast. So this week on Overcome With Auntie Anne, I'm talking with Lisa Michelle about her remarkable story of survival, healing, forgiveness, redemption, and the love of God in action. In this episode, Annie talks with friend Lisa Michelle, who grew up being sexually abused by her Hell's Angel father and a neighbor as a young child. That led her into reckless behavior and the party scene in San Francisco, where she met and ran with many well-known rock musicians of the time. She ended up in rehab after even band members told her she needed help, but it was short-lived until she answered an altar call in church and surrendered her life to God. Today, she shares the love of Jesus with other broken women in strip clubs and brothels. ** powerful story of recovery, healing, and redemption** In this episode I'm joined by my friend Lisa Michelle who shares her healing journey. Intense childhood abuse and trauma led her to the streets of San Francisco where she felt safer than in her own home. She lived in the heavy metal clubs as a teenager - living the rock n' roll lifestyle with bands like Poison and Kix. Then…God radically transformed Lisa. Through tremendous hard work and therapy, she began to heal from the pain and intense trauma that haunted her. Now she is the founder of the ministry “No Strings Attached.” They walk alongside women who have been sexually exploited. They bring handmaid gifts to local strip clubs and brothel's and help women transition out of the sex industry and provide aftercare for sexual trauma. Hear her heartbreaking yet inspirational story. She is a living testimony that no matter how bad our life starts out, God can change our circumstances and anoint our trauma and pain and use it to bring victory and healing to others.

This week, Stephanie invited her friend Lisa over to talk about her unconventional entrance into the world of performing. Unlike so many others, Lisa wasn't placed in piano lessons or ballet classes, or dropped off at the community theatre as a kid. Lisa quite literally leaned into performance as a necessity when life had no other options to present. The world of exotic dance led her to teaching, exploring her own physicality, and helping others to explore theirs.A pole dancer before it was cool to wear a rhinestone “Pole is Life” shirt to brunch with your friends, Lisa illustrates a story very familiar to other artists in Stephanie's green room.Lisa Michellehttps://www.thetiprail.com/https://www.instagram.com/poleyourheartout/In the Green Room / Stephanie / Isabellahttps://www.auxchicago.com/in-the-green-roomhttps://www.instagram.com/inthegreenroompod/https://www.instagram.com/Gwenafrave/https://www.instagram.com/isabellaeliopulos/Produced by Isabella EliopulosTheme by Adam SteinLogo by Allie Shapiro
