The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 2: On Monday night, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis announced former president Donald Trump has been indicted for racketeering for his alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election. 18 others were charged as well—including Rudy Giuliani, Mark Meadows, and Sidney Powell. Corinne Ramey and James Fanelli of The Wall Street Journal write, “If Trump wins the next presidential election, he could attempt to pardon himself in any federal case or steer the Justice Department to retreat from Smith's charges. In Georgia, he would lack the ability to wipe away a state conviction or prison term. Even if Trump were to seek a state pardon, he wouldn't be eligible to do so until after serving a sentence for any conviction. In Georgia, any such pardon would be determined by a state board, not the governor.” You can read their full article here: https://www.wsj.com/articles/georgia-case-presents-unique-challenges-for-trumpand-prosecutors-4dd6ee37 According to reports, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has proposed March 4th, 2024 as the start date for Donald Trump's trial in Georgia—one day before Super Tuesday when 15 states will vote in the Republican Presidential Primary. Dom welcomes in New Jersey State Senator Ed Durr back onto the Dom Giordano Program to discuss a push by progressives and the Mayor in Trenton to defund schools who refuse to stock pornographic materials in their libraries. Durr provided commentary in a recent Inquirer article, where he suggested drafting a bill to impose an age-rating system similar to movie theaters for books, creating a line or limit for explicit material. This comes as fallout after NJ and national Republicans pushed for a review of books in libraries after parents started seeing very controversial material pushed in the guise of the LGBT+ movement, including images of sexual acts on minors. Full Hour | In today's second hour, Dom welcomes New Jersey State Senator Mike Testa back onto the Dom Giordano Program to discuss a column he penned for SaveJersey.com titled ‘It's time for the NJEA to take a hard look in the mirror,' which calls out the New Jersey Education Association for their recent convention in Atlantic City last month. Testa writes, “instead of focusing on the things that matter to parents and their children, such as recouping grave learning losses due to draconian shutdowns of our schools, the NJEA felt it was worthwhile to host a drag queen story hour and invited irrelevant social justice warriors Nikole Hannah Jones and David Hogg to speak.” Testa explains to Dom why he felt the need to pen the column, pointing to the prioritization of political issues over something like strategizing with teachers to reduce and make up for the monumental loss of learning during the Coronavirus pandemic. Then, Dom welcomes in former congressman Col. Allen B. West to discuss the decision by the Biden administration to trade ‘The Merchant of Death' Viktor Bout in exchange for wrongfully imprisoned WNBA star Brittney Griner. Col. West, who made national news speaking out against the Obama administration when dealing with the release of Bowe Bergdahl, draws comparisons between the Bergdahl situation and what we're seeing play out with Griner. West tells about the political aspects of such a release, and argues why he's vehemently against allowing somebody like ‘the Merchant of Death' to walk free. Also, Dom gets West's thoughts on the Georgia runoff election, with West explaining what Republican candidate Herschel Walker and the rest of the Party could have done to further the chances of Republicans in the election.
