There's a bunch of serious business being done by Division III quarterbacks this offseason, as nearly four dozen of them have joined up to raise money to fight cancer as Quarterbacks vs. Cancer. There's also some light-hearted work being done by Division III football coaches, as two of them in the NJAC have joined up to fight food insecurity and battle out the proper name of a popular breakfast meat. And one more thing: The Commonwealth Coast Conference has selected a new name. They're announcing it on Aug. 1, but we found it on a website and at the 18:45 mark of this podcast we will tell you the new name.  Seriously. Kudos to the sleuthiness of Dave McHugh. Quarterbacks vs. Cancer is an organization helmed by Alma quarterback Carter St. John, who thought he might only raise a few hundred dollars to support a local area cancer center, but that was just the beginning. He's joined by UW-Whitewater quarterback Jason Ceniti, Concordia-Moorhead quarterback Cooper Mattern and Carthage quarterback Bryce Lowe, plus another 40 additional Division III signal-callers. St. John, Ceniti, Mattern and Lowe join us for a great conversation.  And then there's the Breakfast Bowl -- it's the brainchild of Montclair State head coach Mike Palazzo, who was looking for a way to create a rivalry game for his team and Rowan, in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. I also asked him how he became friends with WWE superstar Enzo Amore. I also told him I would love to watch a Liv Morgan vs Derynn wrestling match. Thurman Merman called in to ask Doug questions, such as if he's ever seen Enzo Amore's penis. He will seed a mix of clover with a cash crop of corn, the clover feeds nitrogen to the corn and also covers the soil to protect soil from the sun which prevents evaporation plus the additional roots on the soil stable and can prevent wind erosion, he can harvest the cash crop, then graze cows in the clover and corn resides, further feeding animals and the soil, a win-win for certain. Andrew Galea of Gunmeister Games joins us to talk about the original version of Judgement, a 54 mm scale skirmish wargame. Recenrly, Judgement underwent a significant set of changes and became Judgement: Eternal Champions, a 32 mm scale wargame played on a hex mat released in conjunction with Creature Caster. Andrew walks through what's changed, what was left behind in version 1, and correctly identifies that deep dish "pizza" is the American equivalent of Vegemite. Note 1: There's some weird audio interference on Andrew's audio, caused by either Outback noises or men at work (as in men working, not the band). We've removed as much of it as possible, but unfortunately, some still slips through. Chris also has some unusual clicking in his audio. We've tracked this down to his headphone cable hitting the mic or his processing of Taylor Ham during recording. A corrective and preventative action plan has been put in place to make sure this doesn't happen again. Note 2: Around the 58 minute mark, we called Andrew our first international guest.
