Timestamps:(8:55) - Maternal Instinct Discussion(13:55) - Cancer ScammersWith the rise of crowdfunding, there has also been a rise in fraudulent fundraising schemes being carried out.In this episode of the True Crime Society Podcast, we discuss three separate cases where women have faked cancer diagnoses in order to raise money for personal use: American woman Vanessa O'Rourke told friends and family in 2015 that she had been diagnosed with glioblastoma, a deadly form of cancer.   She raised money for fake experimental treatment and fled to Australia.  She is currently on the FBI's Most Wanted List. Australian mother-of-four Tara Enoka created a YouTube channel in 2021 titled ‘Stand with Tara.'  She spoke about being diagnosed with cervical and breast cancer.   Fundraising efforts for Tara raised over $35,000 before her fraudulent scheme was uncovered.  Tara never had cancer. Australian mother Michelle Bodzsar developed a gambling addiction during the pandemic.  A few years later, after her young son suffered an eye injury during a trampoline accident, she saw an opportunity and ran with it.  Michelle faked a cancer diagnosis for her son - even shaving his eyebrows and his head to make her story believable.  Michelle has been jailed for her crimes. Read our blog for these cases - https://truecrimesocietyblog.com/2026/06/14/social-scammers-june-2026/GoFundMe has repeatedly stated that fraudulent campaigns account for less than 0.1% of all campaigns (fewer than 1 in 1,000). Be sure to check the timestamps to get straight to the episode section that you want to listen to.Join us on Patreon for weekly exclusive episodes and all episodes are ad-free - Patreon.com/truecrimesocietyCheck out our Instagram for the latest crime news - Instagram.com/truecrimesocietyFollow our Facebook page for breaking news - Facebook.com/truecrimesocietyThis episode is sponsored by:IQBAR is offering our special podcast listeners twenty percent off all IQBAR products—including the Ultimate sampler pack—plus FREE shipping. Ghislaine Maxwell and the Intelligence Pipeline

Who were the women who worked with Jeffrey Epstein? In Part I of this series, we look at Ghislaine Maxwell, transnational crime royalty as the daughter of MI6/Mossad double-agent and disgraced British media mogul Robert Maxwell, whose dying wish was to connect Maxwell with a young upstart in New York named Epstein.  Joining this discussion are investigative filmmaker Dave Pederson, the producer of the anti-corruption documentaries Americonned and Super Size Me, and OSINT expert Patrick Duggan who created a searchable database of the Epstein files before the DOJ could delete them. We also discuss the analysis by investigative journalist Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez that Maxwell was Epstein's handler in an intelligence long-game going back to the O.S.S., predecessor to the C.I.A.  Important historical context to our discussion: In 2011, then FBI Director Robert Mueller gave the "Iron Triangles" speech, revealing that transnational crime today works like an industry: fancy Western institutions like banks, law firms, and PR firms launder the money and reputations of shadowy crime and rogue intelligence syndicates, who are further served by their paid-off political operatives and politicians. In the speech, Mueller promised to crack down on the head of the Russian mafia, Semion Mogilevich, nicknamed the "boss of all bosses." Instead, Mogilevich was mysteriously taken off of the FBI's Most Wanted List in 2015, at a time the FBI was busting Russian spy rings in New York City, including Kremlin recruitment of college girls, including one Andrea may have encountered at a foreign policy event. A year later, Donald Trump, after decades of financial dealings with dirty Russian money, would be elected president with the Kremlin's illegal help. The 2016 election was a transnational coup decades in the making. In 1999, a high-level U.S. source leaked to the New York Times, undermining a sensitive intelligence operation between the FBI and MI6 to close-in on Russian mafia infiltration in the West, especially Mogilevich. In reporting from that time, The Guardian wrote:  "Author Jeffrey Robinson - whose latest book, The Merger, was published by Simon and Schuster last week - says that organised criminals such as Mogilevich are enjoying massive success using Harvard Business School techniques. 'Mogilevich typifies the new global criminal,' says Robinson. 'These men don't rob banks, they buy them. They take full advantage of globalisation, ill-equipped law enforcement and lax money-laundering laws - especially in Britain - using the City of London as their onshore gateway to the offshore world. 'This case is the tip of the iceberg. The City is an absolute cesspool and it will remain a cesspool because the people in charge don't care. Mogilevich is not the only one, the Bank of New York is not the only place."  Russian oligarchs are the Russian military industrial complex. Mogilevich oversees "weapons trafficking, contract murders, extortion, drug trafficking, and prostitution on an international scale," according to the FBI. It would be easy to buy-off U.S. officials, like the FBI's Charles McGonigal who was paid with our tax dollars to fight the Russian mafia, but was instead on their payroll. Intelligence agencies in the U.S. – the FBI and the CIA – have faced virtually no oversight and accountability for most of their existence, leading to the explosive Church Committee Congressional hearings, exposing that the CIA and FBI were involved in covert mind control experiments, illegal coups and science fiction-style assassination programs, and violent infiltration of political opposition groups on U.S. soil. You can learn more about that in our recent episode on the Church Committee Report – in the show notes. Listen to Part I now. Part II will be out this Thursday as Gaslit Nation's Bonus Show, with a continued discussion of the women who worked with Epstein, and what they may reveal about the Iron Triangles that illegally helped bring a Russian asset/traitor to power. So Who Was? https://alisav.substack.com/p/epstein-likely-wasnt-the-boss-so February 5, 2026 from The Times: "Jeffrey Epstein was introduced to Ghislaine Maxwell by her brother Kevin as part of a plan for the paedophile financier to help the Maxwell family "move money", according to a previously undisclosed account of the origins of the scandal. Kevin Maxwell, once Britain's biggest bankrupt, was "instructed to meet Epstein by his father", Robert Maxwell, according to FBI records of conversations with a former business associate of the Maxwells that have been released by the US Department of Justice.  Kevin later introduced Ghislaine to Epstein and was responsible for placing her office in New York near Epstein after Robert Maxwell's death in 1991, the business associate is said to have claimed. Kevin allegedly negotiated an "understanding" with Epstein and Ghislaine whereby Epstein "would become involved in the Maxwell financial affairs". https://www.thetimes.com/article/0b5bfceb-3c2a-4ffa-aa2f-74e38a395a1e   US charges Russian 'spies' suspected of trying to recruit New Yorkers https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/jan/26/us-charges-alleged-russian-spies-new-york   Traitors in the FBI https://www.gaslitnationpod.com/episodes/traitors-in-the-fbi/ "Donald Barr's 26-page O.S.S. file, obtained from the National Archives, gives a detailed account of his transition from the military to intelligence work. Today's Headlines: Trump's personal aide Natalie Harp — dubbed the "Human Printer" by the Wall Street Journal — follows the president around with a printer for his Truth Social posts and is responsible for his midnight rage posting, including the Obama monkeys video, because no one else on his comms team has any visibility into what goes out at 2am. Trump returned from China having spent most of his time complimenting Xi Jinping's height, claiming Xi promised to stop arming Iran while continuing to buy their oil, getting nowhere on tariffs, and receiving a firm warning to back off Taiwan — which makes 70% of the world's semiconductors — with the one concrete outcome being China agreeing to buy 200 Boeing jets, which sent Boeing's stock down 4% because the market wanted 500. Kash Patel, meanwhile, used an FBI work trip to Hawaii to do a "VIP snorkel" around the USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor where snorkeling is explicitly prohibited, and is separately being reported to have padded the FBI's arrest statistics by adding people to the Most Wanted List right before they're captured. The FDA commissioner resigned after the administration approved blueberry, mango, and menthol flavored vaping pods over his objections, and RFK Jr.'s chief spokesperson quit the next day for the same reason — flavored vapes being, apparently, everyone's line in the sand. On a darker public health note, ProPublica found that the growing MAHA-driven trend of parents rejecting Vitamin K shots for newborns — not a vaccine, just a blood-clotting intervention — has led to a measurable increase in infant deaths from preventable brain bleeds. Two House members have been missing for weeks and are both running for reelection, PCOS has been renamed PMOS because the old name caused decades of misdiagnosis, Stephen Miller's wife is in talks with Paramount for a podcast deal, and King Charles announced the UK will finally prioritize banning conversion therapy, which several prime ministers have promised and never delivered. April 3, 2026 Write your description her Twenty-three marks on the wall of his four-by-four prison cell told the story. It had just been three weeks since the soldiers captured him - the number one name on the Most Wanted List - at a local bar and they hauled him into this cell. The charges were robbery, treason, and murder. Day 23 was going to be just another day there, or so he thought until he heard the growing sounds of that angry mob outside the window above him. He managed to grab the bars on the window and pull himself up high enough to hear what the crowd was screaming. It was a combination of shock and fear that swept over him when he heard they were shouting his name! "Give us Ba-rabbas! Give us Ba-rabbas!" Then the chant gradually began to change. Now they were shouting with this bloodthirsty anger, "Cru-ci-fy him! Cru-ci-fy him!" Barabbas slumped to the floor. He couldn't believe it. He'd been their hero, but now they were calling for his execution by the most brutal means of execution ever devised - death on a cross. Within minutes, five soldiers were dragging him, kicking and screaming down the corridor, up the stone steps, and to another door. They flung the door open, pushed him through it, and slammed the door behind him. It took a little while for him to realize where he was. He was out on the cobblestone street of Jerusalem. He was free! Before reality could fully dawn on Barabbas, the door behind him opened again. He literally had to roll out of the way to keep from being trampled by this angry crowd pushing their way through with a bare-backed, bleeding man in the middle of them. As Barabbas plastered himself against the wall of that narrow street, he could see that man's back had been so brutally beaten it was like one gaping wound, exposing tissue and bone everywhere. Barabbas' first instinct was to run while he could, but he didn't. He followed that crowd all the way up to that skull-shaped hill just outside the city, where from a distance, he heard the hammer and the spikes that the heartless executioners of Rome were driving into that man's hands and feet. It turned dark as night in the middle of the day and the skies opened up with a deluge of rain. Curious spectators just began to drift away. Finally, Barabbas felt safe enough to walk slowly to the top of Skull Hill, with his head covered. It was as if there was a magnet pulling him toward the man hanging on that middle cross between two other dying criminals. Barabbas had heard the man say from that cross, "Father, forgive them." He'd heard many things at crucifixions. He'd heard cursing, and screaming, and threatening, but never "forgive." He now could recognize the face that was beaten almost beyond recognition. It was Jesus - the man who had done no wrong, whose only crime was to love those that no one else cared about. And in that moment Barabbas found himself looking up into the eyes of that man on the middle cross and saying aloud, "Jesus, you don't deserve to be there, I do. But because You're dying there, I don't have to die." I could walk up to the cross where Jesus died and say that, and so could you. I'm Ron Hutchcraft and I want to have A Word With You on this Good Friday about "When Good Friday Gets Personal." I don't know if Barabbas ever really made it to the cross, but I do know that getting to that cross to have your sins forgiven is your only hope of heaven. Our word for today from the Word of God is in Galatians 2:20, and it simply says, "The Son of God...loved me and gave Himself for me." If you've never been to Jesus' cross and said those words, "For me. You're dying for me," this could be your personal Jesus-day. When you tell Him you are His, when every wrong thing you've ever done will be erased from God's book, because the blood shed on that cross was shed to pay for it. And when you trade hell for heaven this very day, would you tell Him, "Jesus, you're dying for what I've done. And today I am yours." And then, would you make a trip to our website? It's ANewStory.com. I want to help you today be sure you've crossed over from death to life. Good Friday - Jesus died for your sin today so you don't have to.

New Jersey voters deserve transparency. 3:10pm- House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries is now calling for a criminal investigation into the release of Mikie Sherrill's military file. Rich notes that her record release and the NJ Globe report are entirely separate stories—as Democrats attempt to muddy the waters. 3:20pm- Former FBI Director James Comey has been indicted for lying to Congress and obstruction of justice. In a post to social media, Attorney General Pam Bondi wrote: “No one is above the law. Today's indictment reflects this Department of Justice's commitment to holding those who abuse positions of power accountable for misleading the American people. We will follow the facts in this case.” 3:30pm- Jack Ciattarelli—Republican candidate for Governor of New Jersey—joins The Rich Zeoli Show and reacts to a new report alleging Democrat Mikie Sherrill was barred from walking at her Naval Academy graduation ceremony because of her involvement in a widespread cheating scandal. Sherrill claims she never cheated—she merely covered up for cheating. Ciattarelli adroitly notes: if Sherrill will cover for cheaters in the Naval Academy, she'll cover for cheaters in Trenton. 3:50pm- Things just keep getting worse for Mikie Sherrill—now her husband is also ensnared in the Naval Academy's massive cheating scandal! 4:05pm- Dr. Wilfred Reilly—Professor of Political Science at Kentucky State University & Author of “Lies My Liberal Teacher Told Me”—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss Major League Baseball adopting artificial intelligence to determine strikes. We made it through another week! Definitely looking forward to those temps in the 60's next week. In the news this morning, another update on the Pope's condition, some Wisconsin residents whose ballots went uncounted are now suing, a message from Derrick Van Orden to a former VA employee is going viral, President Trump signed an executive order to establish a Bitcoin reserve, and they are taking Jack Daniels off the shelves in Canada In sports, the Bucks are back on the court tomorrow against the Magic, and the #12 Wisconsin Badgers wrap up the regular season on Sunday at home against Penn State. Sergei Bobrovsky is now tied for 10th on the NHL's all-time wins list, and several more moves were made in the NFL yesterday ahead of the free agency period. Elsewhere in sports, Pacman Jones admits that never used his own urine for NFL drug testing, and the FBI has added a former snowboarder to it's "Most Wanted List". We let you know what's on TV this weekend & what's in theaters, and Doc joined us just after 8am to talk NASCAR racing thanks to County Materials in Holmen. Today is "National Employee Appreciation Day", and go figure…only 19% of companies plan to do something to recognize their hard-working staff. A website dedicated to emotional support animals wants to pay you to watch pet movies, and a list of things you shouldn't put in the dishwasher. Wild bodycam footage of an officer in New Jersey rescuing a man from a burning car, while other officers in New Jersey spent four hours rescuing a pink poodle that got stuck in an icy pond. And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a woman who assaulted her boyfriend with a watermelon, a fight over a Pokémon vending machine, a woman who stripped naked on a Southwest flight, a very LARGE baby, and a NYC detective with a sexy side gig. There are growing concerns over who is crossing America's border with Mexico in light of the war between Hamas and Israel. “This is absolutely a concern,” Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham says of the threat of terrorists taking advantage of the lack of security along America's southern border. “We are seeing over 200 people on the terrorist Most Wanted List that we have caught alone this year,” according to Buckingham, adding that “we are exceeding six year cumulative records for people coming from countries that sponsor terrorism. This has always been our concern from day one. It is why you need a secure border.”Buckingham's joins “The Daily Signal Podcast” to discuss the security concerns at the border following a memo from Customs and Border Protection's San Diego Field Office warning of Hamas, Hezbollah, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, or the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine attempting to cross the border. The San Diego unit “assesses that individuals inspired by, or reacting to, the current Israel-Hamas conflict may attempt travel to or from the area of hostilities in the Middle East via circuitous transit across the southwest border,” according to the memo, which was first reported Monday by the Daily Caller News Foundation.“Foreign fighters motivated by ideology or mercenary soldiers of fortune may attempt to obfuscate travel to or from the U.S. to or from countries in the Middle East through Mexico,” that CBP memo says. In addition to discussing the threat an open border poses to the nation, Buckingham explains why President Joe Biden is constructing a 17-mile section of border wall in South Texas. Enjoy the show!
