Tune in as Fake-Dating February kicks off on 2CC in honor of the hijinks and machinations that turn artificial love into authentic love! For this first podcast of the month, Arthur's buddy Anna (@banananna024/@formergleek) is circling back around for a review and recap of To All the Boys I've Loved Before, the 2018 Netflix rom-com whose fake-dating scheme that Lara Jean Song Covey and Peter Kavinsky cook up is based on the 2014 YA romance novel of the same name by Jenny Han. The hygienic importance of not wearing shoes in the house, the shaky state of teen media that can be found on streaming and on Netflix specifically, Arthur's rant against Jake Ryan from Sixteen Candles, and cheering for Lana Condor and Noah Centineo to have bigger careers comprise just some of the subjects for this episode. Directed by Susan Johnson, To All the Boys I've Loved Before stars Lana Condor, Noah Centineo, Israel Broussard, Madeleine Arthur, Janel Parrish, Anna Cathcart, Emilija Baranac, John Corbett, Trezzo Mahoro, and Andrew Bachelor. To All The Boys I've Loved Before is a 2018 Teen Romantic Comedy directed by Susan Johnson and based on the novel by Jenny Han. To All The Boys is the story of Lara Jean Covey - LJ, played by Lana Condor. Lara Jean writes 5 letters dedicated to all the boys she's ever loved. The letters were never sent, just a way for her to express her emotions… until… somehow… the letters get mailed. Of the 5 letters sent, 3 of them are pretty notable, including one sent to Lara's older sisters ex boyfriend Josh played by Israel Broussard. There is also a letter sent to Kenny, played by Edward Kewin. And finally a letter is sent to Peter Kavinsky played by Noah Centineo. Also want to mention Anna Cathcart who plays Lara Jean's younger sister Kitty. Janel Parrish plays the older sister Margot. John Corbett plays Dr Covey, Lara Jean's father.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
We're back with more from the To All the Boys Extended Universe (TAtBEU) talking about Netflix's To All the Boys I've Loved Before, P.S. I Still Love You, and Always and Forever. Kaycee is once again joined by Cousin Kristen (who you've heard in our Christmas Home Alone 2 episode). We ask if it's possible to go back to high school and date a Peter Kavinsky, agree with how much we love the redemption arc for mean girl Gen, and discuss the greatness of John Corbett as a teen movie dad. Plus, as most of Kaycee's conversations do, we end up pissed off about the nonsense that was the Pretty Little Liars series finale. What better way to celebrate the beginning of spring than with a teenage rom com? To All the Boys I've Loved Before tells the story of Lara Jean Covey, a romance-novel-loving teen who writes but does not send love letters to her crushes. When those unsent letters get delivered to her crushes, she tries to avoid total embarrassment by entering into a fake relationship with one of the recipients of the letters, a popular boy named Peter Kavinsky. Will real feelings develop? Of course! But the inevitability of their love does not detract from the enjoyment of watching it develop. Gabby and Amy discuss the many delights of this recent YA adaptation and make a case for its inclusion in the new chick flick canon.

We are no Lara Jean and we might not have met our boy-next-door Peter Kavinsky yet but allow us to ask: Nasabihan ka na ba ng “alam mo, okay naman akong lalaki, hindi ako nanakit” or “alam mo ikaw, titirahin kita”? It may be hard to believe but yup, we’ve heard it once, we’ve heard it countless of times and guess what, these unsolicited words came from men we’ve met before. This got us thinking, what do we most women have in common? If it’s not the burden of the double standards we’ve been tirelessly going through, it’s also the time not well spent caused by the men who chose to be a useless piece of dick. Here’s an episode to all the men that got away. You’ve been warned boys, hope you choke on this one. XOXO, The Feelers Follow and subscribe! In 2018, To All The Boys I've Loved Before was a breakout hit for Netflix. Based on Jenny Han's novel, it followed Lara Jean Covey through the adventure of falling in love with one Peter Kavinsky. A sequel followed in 2020 and now, it's time for the finale, which finds Lara Jean and Peter dealing with the complication of graduating and heading off to college.

This is the nostalgic existential crisis episode where we listen to Madeon and catch up on my dating life on Hinge. I've missed y'all. I give y'all the DL on what I've been up to and my feelings about the future. I'm a hopeless romantic like Laura Jean but the only thing we have in common is that we're Asian. My goal is to find my Peter Kavinsky. I'm pretty bummed about Andrew Yang but I know this is just the beginning. #YangGang
The trailer for 'To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You' was released this week and we must admit that Noah Centineo as Peter Kavinsky is still great (1:20). Mary Kate and Ashley wishing Ashley Benson a happy birthday might be the weirdest video of 2019 (6:28). A lightning round of holiday traditions along with a special Christmas gift from Liz (19:07). Plus: Step aside, Kumail Nanjiani, there's another jacked Marvel star we need to talk about (32:16). Hosts: Liz Kelly, Kate Halliwell, and Amelia Wedemeyer
Wherein your hosts watch their favourite Netflix movie and talk about all the reasons why Peter Kavinsky is the absolute best, how Lara Jean's fashion is always on point, why Kitty is very underrated, and why you should always burn letters you never intend to send.
Now starting every Tuesday, Ali & Lindsey will be diving into pop culture and current events news that we think is necessary to know. Come back every Tuesday for a new Tuesday Topics Episode. In today’s inaugural Tuesday Topics episode the girls discuss: - The tragedy of the Notre Dame church and how it quickly turned into a blogger insta pic fest. - The new recast of John Ambrose in Netflix’s “To All The Boys” sequel, and what the heck happened to the first guy in the original movie? - How horrible Noah Centineo’s new movie “The Perfect Date” was and why it made us cringe (let’s just say we want Peter Kavinsky back). - Our new fav hair ties from @teleties ! Did we mention they support a non-profit that aims to improve the lives of people and families affected by cancer? Hair win and do-good win! - And the youtube makeup guru feud between James Charles and Tati Westbrook and how sugar bear hair plays a part in this feud.
Ali finally came out from under her rock and Lindsey got her to watch “The Kissing Booth” and she now wonders why she slept on it for so long. Let’s just say this movie is so bad that it’s good (please watch the movie to know what we mean...) In this week’s episode we compare and contrast the mirage of rom-com romances and how they’re FAKE NEWS. Yep , you heard it here folks, they ain’t real, and we wonder why we’re all out here waiting for prince charm --- we mean Peter Kavinsky. Also, dating a best friend’s sibling, is this off limits? Keep listening to hear our thoughts and tea on these fake movie heartthrobs.
Welcome to To All the Romcoms I've Seen Before! This is a film review podcast, discussing the under-appreciated genre of romantic comedies, both critically and comically. For our pilot episode, we are looking at the critically acclaimed To All the Boys I've Loved Before, delving into the psyche of Lara Jean Covey and the questionable aspects of her romance with school heartthrob Peter Kavinsky. In a very special minisode of P.S. I Love This Podcast, Sarah and Dana wax poetic about your boyfriend, my boyfriend, the internet's boyfriend - Peter Kavinsky.
the boys set put to describe what is happening with Boruto, Mitsuki, Gabby Meach, and Peter Kavinsky
Forget John Hughes and Freddie Prinze, Jr.! 2018 was a watershed year for high school movies as Hollywood has turned to best-selling YA novels to inform the future of "10 Things I Hate About You" and "Sixteen Candles." In this episode, Chance and Noah apply their maybe too lofty standards to "The Hate U Give," "Love, Simon" and "To All the Boys I've Loved Before." The guys break down all the racial fairy tales, internet hate crimes and the sex appeal of Peter Kavinsky, plus we welcome BuzzFeed reporter Krystie Yandoli to give some context about the production controversies behind "The Hate U Give" and shout out other YA material that’s not afraid to get political. Sometimes didactic and nonsensical, but always entertaining, this genre is certainly ripe for reappraisal by two white, heterosexual men 10 years removed from high school. Let’s do it.
Get out your stationary, because the Bees are talking about the second half of To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before! Cher’s not sold on Peter Kavinsky, but she’s very here for the sister dynamics at work. Audrey gives the lo down on the second two books in the series, and details how reading this series became her radical self-care over the last two weeks.
Wherein your hosts talk about why September felt like a year, why water polo with horses would be awesome, why The Fosters is worth watching even though it's SO BAD, who Tim Riggins actually belongs with, why Peter Kavinsky and Lara Jean are doomed, why spicy apple water is the best hot beverage, and whether or not Jamie Benn has been rooting around in Librarian Mike's garden.
Abi and Matt continue their reviews of high school movies with newly-released Sierra Burgess Is A Loser (2018). Plus, a little bit of TV talk. Plus, Not Peter Kavinsky. Theme music by our good friend John Hollahan. Find him at johnhollahan.bandcamp.com
Netflix is #slaying the rom-com game. And the movie on everyone's mind? To All The Boys I've Loved Before! Author Courtney Summers tells Erica and Marissa all they need to know about Lara and Peter and the scrunchie that rocked the internet. AND she fill them in her new YA true crime book, Sadie. -- Follow us on Twitter @OTP_Pod -- Buy Courtney's book, Sadie, here: amzn.to/2xARhff
Welcome back!! This week we're having a casual chat all about what we've been loving and up to, including Francesca's stage door encounter with Aidan Turner, a surprise detour into one of our favourite BBC One shows, Merlin, and dives into Mamma Mia 2, Netflix's To All The Boys I've Loved Before (and Peter Kavinsky), Sally Rooney's Normal People, and more! Get stuck in and enjoy :)

Raise your hand if you're in love with Peter Kavinsky? ...and now that we're all gathered here, Tamar and Christine are super excited to talk about the hits and misses of Netflix's brand new romantic comedy surge. Was Set it Up the set up to this entire movement? Is A Christmas Prince a good movie, a GREAT movie, or a really really bad movie? Was The Kissing Booth a terrible bait-and-switch? Why aren't there more movies like Alex Strangelove? And of course... we're talking about To All the Boys I've Loved Before (and Christine is REALLY adamant that everyone goes on to read the books!) and the magic that is Pacey Witter, oops, Peter Kavinsky! We're also talking about what we're looking forward to in fall TV (HINT: The Good Place premieres on Sept. 27!) and we're addressing the big Greg recast on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. And Christine is really f*cking excited about Murphy Brown. As always, the episode never ends here! Find us on social media @shippingroompod to keep the discussion going! We'll be waiting! :)
Kids say the darndest things. At the worst possible moment. In grocery stores, neighborhood pools, and public restrooms. Or worst of all, in front of the in-laws. Hannah and Renee share some of their more cringeworthy stories. And we talk about the one thing making us both human this week: Peter Kavinsky from Netflix’s “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before.” Thanks to Wendy Child (http://wendychildmusic.com/) for the music!
