The film is full of very memorable scenes but one of the ones that immediately stuck in my head was the scene where Catherine Martin (the senator's daughter) is driving just before she is abducted by Buffalo Bill. The lyrics that we hear are: After all it was a great big world / With lots of places to run to / Yeah, and if she had to die tryin' / She had one little promise she was gonna keep / Oh yeah, all right / Take it easy, baby / Make it last all night / She was an American girl. This week, Bushy was in Nashville, TN, for the 3rd Annual Rock and Pod Expo. He was fortunate enough to be able to sit down and chat with some great people. First, you'll hear an amazing interview with Michael Sweet, front man of Stryper, with assistance from Mr. Ralph Viera from Rock and Metal Combat Podcast. Next, Bushy has a great, candid talk with Mr. Kenny Olson, that went so well, he told Bushy he wants to do our show AFTER the expo, when time could be arranged. And then, Bushy was able to chat with a young band out of Memphis, TN, Land/Divided. They did a great job, and you'll hear one of their songs right after the interview. An amazing weekend all around, and we hope that some of that was captured in these talks. Special thanks to Michael Sweet, Kenny Olson and Land/Divided for sitting down with me.

Jon and Jan are happy to be joined by the great Sonny "Hollywood" Pooni of the Growin' Up Rock Podcast Rock City podcasts to recap the last couple months of episodes. We also discuss the Rock n Pod Expo, how he got into podcasting, and the possible future of The Hustle. Sonny has suggested a deliciously fun topic to discuss - Top 3 songs that we wish had hit #1 between the years 1983-1989. Songs get played, names get dropped, and tastes are debated. Enjoy! https://growinuprock.com/ https://podcastrockcity.podomatic.com/
Well it seems the Canadian Geeks have hit a scheduling snag leaving them unable to convene for their normal beer drinking recording sessions. Fortunately they did have one episode hidden in the "vault", an episode that wasn't actually supposed to see the light of day. This episode is now yours! Disclaimer #1 - This episode was recorded way, WAY back on a hot summer day in July 2018. So some of the conversation within deals with events that are now in the history books (Rock n Pod Expo, etc.). Disclaimer #2 - This recording session was also plagued with "sound quality" issues. The recording was cleaned up as much as possible but still remains below our usual personal standards. This was the reason we had originally decided to not air this particular episode. After extensive conversations and a number of listens, we feel that the music is more important than the sub-par sound quality of our babbling. Disclaimer #3 - This recording was the third one tackled on the same day so we are REALLY intoxicated! You have been warned, LOL. Grab some beers and join us for "The Meister's Battleship". A drunken musical spin on the old Milton Bradley game. Wallygator randomly calls out battleship coordinates from the Meister's extensive music collection. The Meister then has to play a song from whatever album Wally has blindly selected. The results? Some of the most ahhh interesting music ever played on the show, Canadian Metal, Swedish Pop, Los Angeles Sleaze, Horror Metal, Chris Gaines and many more.
In our final "Nashville Rock n Pod Expo" recap, the Canadian Geeks round out their day with a full episode of Canadian Inquisition segments. Fellow Podcasters and friends of the show take turns in the hot seat to see who will be crowned the "Honorary Hoser" in Nashville, Tennessee. The answers to our 11 Canadian"isms" get very creative, we have tons of music and some Nashville trip stories including... The Meister busting Wallygator's balls about his inexperience in traveling. The Meister almost getting arrested at Burger King Wallygator busting the Meister's balls for crashing early and missing a whiskey fueled trip to Coyote Ugly. It's a long one, full of metal, laughter and drunken babble
Jacob Cade is a 19 year old musician from El Paso Texas who now lives in Colorado. Chanty had the pleasure of chatting with him at the Nashville Rock n Pod Expo. He showed[...] The post Jacob Cade at Nashville Rock n Pod appeared first on Muses and Stuff Podcast.
We had a rock’n’roll party in Nashville last month at the 2018 Rock’n’Pod Expo. I recorded throughout the day with fans, podcasters, musicians and friends. Talkin about Springsteen and rock’n’roll and whatnot. For this episode I bring you music and… The post ep64 Live from the Rock’n’Pod Expo 2018 appeared first on TRAMPS LIKE US.
Jon and Jan come together again to discuss topics like Jon's visit to the Nashville Rock n Pod Expo, Jan's internet lovelife, and the guests featured in July and August. Oh, and Jon's sick again.
On a hot August weekend, the Canadian Geeks head to the Nashville Rock n Pod Expo for a full weekend of alcoholic mayhem. The Meister, Wallygator and Buzzsaw Barley got into plenty of mischief. what you are about to experience is the first of three episodes capturing the sights, the sounds and the smells of their adventures. Hundreds of beers and a bottle of "Schmendlemans" Canadian Whiskey were harmed during the duration of this crazy weekend. Near arrests, random naps, a trip to Coyote Ugly, 3am Waffle House trips and more laughter than should be legally allowed. Part One is busting at the seams with interviews from Tora Tora, Jacob Cade and legendary record producer Toby Wright. Also included is the "Canadian Inquisition" as the Geeks test the Canuck knowledge of guests, fellow podcasters and anyone who wanted to sit in the hot seat! Bonus Canadian Inquisition Guests feature friend and fan Andy Lafon and MC Hammered, Mr. Aaron Camaro. Of course we spin some killer music and it's 2 hours of the Canadians Gone Wild In Nashville.
Another excellent Rock n Pod Expo is in the books and Jon was honored to be asked once again to host a panel on Songwriting and Collaboration. We only had 30 mins this year, but the guests were all excellent. The introductions weren't recorded, but they were Gary Corbett, keyboardist for Kiss, Cinderella, Debbie Gibson and Lou Gramm, Paul Taylor of Winger and Steve Shareaux of Kik Tracee. The Expo was a rousing success, we hope you all can join us next year!
Matt Deis bassist for CKY is the guest on this weeks episode of the podcast. Matt and Jon get into Matt's time in All That Remains, how he ended up getting the gig with CKY and how hard it was to leave ATR right before Sounds of the Underground tour. We get into a bit of the disfunction that lead to CKY going on hiatus, what he did while the band was inactive, and how he takes advantage of each day he's on tour now, and what we can expect form the band the rest of this year and into next. Dan and Jon talk about Dan's experience at Rock and Pod Expo 2 and tell you about some of their upcoming guests on the podcast.
