This week we are joined by the man himself… He's not only the co-host of the Decibel Geek, the founder, and CEO of the Rock n' Pod Expo, but is largely the reason that our podcast is in existence. Of course, we are talking about Chris Czynszak! Kevin annoyed and berated Chris to the point where he felt he had to come on our show just to shut him up. Chris has brought us a very special selection of obscure tunes from the guitarmony masters: THIN LIZZY! This is a band that is very near and dear to our collective hearts! Author Brian J. Kramp joins LC to discuss his book "Cheap Trick: This Band Has No Past" his podcast Rock and/or Roll, and the Rock N Pod Expo. Buy his book! It's great!Buy Cheap Trick: This Band Has No Past on AmazonJawbone Press Brian Kramp dug deep for the details. After reading his book, my black-and-white memories are now in color. Great work Brian!'BUN E. CARLOS‘Brian Kramp's amazing, forensic investigation into the band's prehistory and early days does for Cheap Trick what Mark Lewisohn did for The Beatles: unravel myths, pin down elusive details, reveal surprising facts, identify relevant characters, and put it all in historical context. I thought I knew the story, but I learned a lot.'IRA ROBBINS‘Brian has meticulously researched the band's history and reveals fascinating things that even the most ardent Trick fan couldn't know without this colorful and fact-filled chronicle. It's a definitive history of a unique and brilliant group—the most talented, clever, and entertaining band I experienced in my thirty years as an A&R man and producer.'TOM WERMANThis Band Has No Past tells the story of a bar band from the Midwest—the best and weirdest bar band in the Midwest— and how they doggedly pursued a most unlikely career in rock'n'roll. It traces every gnarly limb of the family tree of bands that culminated in Cheap Trick, then details how this unlikely foursome paid their dues—with interest—night after night, slogging it out everywhere from high schools to bars to bowling alleys to fans' back yards, before signing to Epic Records and releasing two brilliant albums six months apart.******Bakko & Gene at KISS Music From The Elder Fest 2022 - YouTubePantheon PodcastsReach out to us!Rate, review and subscribe at Apple Podcasts: Cobras & Fire: Comedy / Rock Talk Show on Apple PodcastsJoin our fanpage on Facebook: (2) Cobras ON Fire: Private Group | FacebookClick like and follow on Facebook: (2) Cobras & Fire: Rock Podcast | Chicago IL | FacebookFollow us on Twitter: Best Hard Rock & Metal Podcast (@CobrasFire) / TwitterSubscribe to our YouTube channel: Cobras & Fire Rock Podcast - YouTubeEmail us: loosebakko@gmail.comBuy a shirt!:"Cobras and Fire Podcast" T-shirt for Sale by CobrasandFire | Redbubble | cobras and fire t-shirts - cobras fire t-shirtsStitcher: Cobras & Fire: Comedy / Rock Talk Show on StitcherSpreaker: Cobras & Fire: Comedy / Rock Talk Show | Listen to Podcasts On Demand Free | TuneInFind it all here: Cobras and Fire Podcast - Comedy Rock Talk Show

The boys are back without any guests this week. David talks about his experience at the Rock n Pod Expo. He got to talk with the guys from Cobras and Fire Podcast and also met Matt Pinfield, which was a hero of his. John talks about his son's first day at kindergarten. That leads into the madness of Williamson County Schools. Madness ensued at a meeting held with officials and parents about a mask policy for the children. David plays a few clips from the event and both hosts are left shaking their heads. John and David both saw THE Suicide Squad and give their thoughts on the movie. John also saw What If? on Disney Plus and recommends watching the series. The guys then list their Mt. Rushmore of School Subjects, which is inspired by school starting back again. This episode is obviously rooted firmly in our Should Have Been category. Marillion is a band that has amassed an amazing catalog of successful yet cult band-ish albums that are nerdy cool, with deep lyrics, but with a keen sense of humor. Kevin refers to them as the English Rush, but this is an amazing group all on their own. We think they SHOULDA BEEN HUGE!!! We hope you’ve been enjoying this journey with us as we’ve covered this band’s material from the 80s, 90s, 10s, and finally the 00s!Songs this week include:“Quartz” from Anoraknophobia (2000)“Drilling Holes” from Marbles (2004)“The Wound” from Somewhere Else (2007)“Half Empty Jam” from Happiness Is The Road – Volume 1: Essence (2008)“Whatever Is Wrong With You” from Happiness Is The Road – Volume 2: The Hard Shoulder (2008)“This Is The 21st Century” from Less Is More (2009)Please subscribe everywhere that you listen to podcasts!Visit us: https://inobscuria.com/https://www.facebook.com/InObscuriahttps://twitter.com/inobscuriahttps://www.instagram.com/inobscuria/Buy cool stuff with our logo on it!: https://www.redbubble.com/people/InObscuria?asc=uCheck out Robert’s amazing fire sculptures and metal workings here: http://flamewerx.com/If you’d like to check out Kevin’s band THE SWEAR, take a listen on all streaming services or pick up a digital copy of their latest release here: https://theswear.bandcamp.com/If you want to hear Robert and Kevin’s band from the late 90s – early 00s BIG JACK PNEUMATIC, check it out here: https://bigjackpnuematic.bandcamp.com/

Another excellent Rock n Pod Expo is in the books and Jon was honored to be asked once again to host a panel on Songwriting and Collaboration. We only had 30 mins this year, but the guests were all excellent. The introductions weren't recorded, but they were Gary Corbett, keyboardist for Kiss, Cinderella, Debbie Gibson and Lou Gramm, Paul Taylor of Winger and Steve Shareaux of Kik Tracee. The Expo was a rousing success, we hope you all can join us next year!
Your favorite movie host attended the Rock N Pod Expo in Nashville last week and now it's time to share my favorite memories from this terrific trip. Also, check out the awesome band Black Heiron, as you get to hear two songs from their debut EP "Judgement Day" on this episode.
