L'opération Dragon Rouge, menée le 24 novembre 1964, est une mission militaire emblématique de sauvetage orchestrée par une coalition belgo-américaine. Dans un Congo ravagé par la guerre civile et les atrocités des rebelles Simbas, des centaines d'otages, principalement Belges et Américains, sont pris en captivité à Stanleyville. Sous les ordres du colonel Laurent, 546 para-commandos belges, transportés par des avions américains C-130, sautent dans l'inconnu pour secourir les prisonniers. Après avoir sécurisé l'aéroport sous un feu nourri, les soldats identifient l'hôtel Victoria comme le lieu où sont retenus les otages. Malgré un massacre entamé par les Simbas, les paras parviennent à sauver des centaines de vies dans une course contre la montre. En deux jours, 1 800 personnes sont évacuées, mais le bilan reste lourd, avec plusieurs otages et soldats tués. Complétée par l'opération Dragon Noir à Paulis, cette mission est un modèle de coordination militaire et de courage, laissant une empreinte indélébile dans l'histoire humanitaire et militaire belge. En agosto de 1964, los rebeldes Simbas capturaron Stanleyville, en el recién independizado Congo, tomando más de 1.600 rehenes occidentales. En noviembre, tras tensas negociaciones, las fuerzas belgas y estadounidenses llevaron a cabo operaciones de rescate en Dragon Rouge y Dragon Noir, liberando a la mayoría de los rehenes, a pesar de una masacre de Simba. La operación también se vio afectada por el desprecio del mando belga hacia la fuerza numérica de los Simbas, propio de la época colonial, y por los temores estadounidenses ante lo que en realidad era un elemento comunista inexistente en el movimiento rebelde. Dein Leben und dein Business sind wie das geheiligte Land im Diseney-Film König der Löwen. Kennst du den Film? Ich habe ihn bestimmt 20x in meinem Leben gesehen...und gestern Abend in 3D mit meiner Tochter in der NEUEN Fassung im Kino. HAMMER. Der ist so TIEF, der Film, wenn man bereit ist, sich drauf einzulassen. Es geht darum um dich, in dem Film. Wer bist du? Und noch spannender: WIE verhältst du dich? Welche Glaubenssätze hast du? Bist du im INNEREN ein Mufasa? Der edle, gütige König (Vater von Simba), der nach dem Pinzip lebt: "Frage nicht, was du dir nehmen kannst, sondern was du als König geben kannst" Der den Frieden bewahrt - und die Eindringlinge (die Ängste, in Form der Hyänen) vertreibt und in Schach hält. So gedeiht das Land... es erblüht. Oder hast du das Gefühl, dass du zu kurz kommst im Leben...so wie Scar? Es ist nicht genug da...dir steht MEHR zu... und der Stärkere darf sich einfach ALLES nehmen? Lädst du die Hyänen (die ANGST) ein statt sie zu vertreiben...verbündest dich damit? Ein Zeichen, dass du die Hyänen, die Angst als täglichen Begleiter hast, ist, wenn die "HERDEN" sprich, die Kunden verschwinden... Spannend auch die Einstellung von Simba... Erst als "JUNGES" übermütig...aber in der Tradition des edelmütigen Vaters. Dann durch SCHULD & SCHAM versagt zu haben... nicht richtig zu sein... zu fliehen... Um sich dann im "Paradies" (dem Sofa der Ausreden) mit HARKUNA MATATA zu verstecken. KEIN Kreis des Lebens sondern eine bedeutungslose Linie, wo am Ende der Tot steht. Verantwortung vs. keine Verantwortung. Am Ende übernimmt er wieder seine Verantwortung. Vertreibt die Gier, den Neid, den Hass (Scar) und die Angst (Hyänen) Und das Land erblüht wieder. Ich glaube wir alle haben Phasen von SCAR in uns...und Phasen von Mufasa. Lebens-Phasen des SIMBAS in uns. Und aus den vielen Coachings weiß ich: JEDER geht durch seine SCHLUCHT wo etwas schreckliches passiert ist... JEDER flieht mal in die Wüste, um sich hinzulegen, um einfach nur zu sterben JEDER möchte einfach nur die Vergangenheit vergessen und nach dem Motto HAKUNA MATATA leben. JEDER möchte mal die Verantwortung, sei es für die Familie, die Kollegen, usw. einfach abgeben und nur für sich da sein. JEDER zweifelt an seiner Bestimmung, wenn er in die Sterne schaut und nicht die "Könige der Vergangenheit" sieht, sondern denkt, es sind eh nur Glühwürmchen, die da oben "feststecken" Jedoch weiß ich: Die Könige der Vergangenheit leben in uns (siehe Ahnen) und am ENDE wollen wir glücklich sein...unsere Verantwort leben und für uns, für unser Umfeld ein blühendes Königreich aubauen. Bestimmt auch du. Deine Berufung leben...keine bedeutungslose Linie...sondern ein Teil des Kreises des Lebens. Dein LÖWEN GEBRÜLL über das Land schallen lassen. In August 1964, in the central African country known today as the Democratic Republic of Congo, a militant rebel group called the Simbas seized nearly 2,000 U.S. and European citizens, many of them missionaries, and held them hostage in Stanleyville. On November 24th of that year, Belgian and American military forces mounted a dramatic airborne mission to rescue the hostages and crush the Simba rebellion. Recently, some of the surviving hostages, the pilot, and the airplane used in the rescue were brought together by a lucky chain of events. (Produced for VOA and AARP Prime Time, April, 2013)
