Biografía: Nacido en Tenerife en 1980, cursó sus estudios cinematográficos en Madrid, antes de realizar numerosos talleres de dirección de actores y guión en la EICTV, donde también estudia la especialización en Dirección Cinematográfica (2003). En 2004 crea junto a otros estudiantes de esta prestigiosa escuela El Viaje Films. A partir del 2010 y hasta ahora se convierte en productor ejecutivo de cinco óperas primas, además de dirigir y escribir los largometraje Slimane (Mejor ópera prima IBAFF, mejor largometraje LPA Canarias) y Gente de Sal (en postproducción). José Alayón funda en 2008 el Centro de Estudios Cinematográficos de Canarias (CECAN), Centro que desde esta fecha y hasta ahora imparte numerosos másters, talleres y grados cinematográficos en las islas Canarias en convenio con las Universidades Canarias.
