In this video, I walked around a few places and documented my experience, and gave each location a rating. In certain parts of the Documentary, My Visual Effects team used Green Screen and CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) to simulate smoke, for comedic effect and expression. There is no real smoke in this video, and every viewer of the Documentary knows this. This is not the main focus of the video, just as a comedic expression in this larger Documentary. My special effects team works hard to make everything realistic while leaving a hint of artistic expression, to make the smoke simulations noticeably fake. This week we're live at The Smoking Jacket, hosted by the Toro Family at their property in Ithaca, NY! I was given the opportunity to capture conversations for both wake & bakes; here's day one! I sat down with Adam, a hashmaker and cast iron aficionado, to try some fresh press, discuss the score card + hash judging, cast iron pans, as well as capture conversations with Meltwaukee from WI and Hash Craft from MI. Polar opposite states when it comes to hash production, split by Lake Michigan. It's cool to be able to capture their unique perspectives. I have to say thank you to The Hashishinn and the rest of The Smoking Jacket team for creating a beautiful & progressive experience, as well as allowing me the opportunity to do the. Thank you to Terp Style, Dabbing Diabetic, Fueled By Fullmelt, and The Burly Botanicals Boys for the exploring the waterfall, allowing me a spot to stay at the cabin, and smoking exorbitant quantities of hash all weekend. Thank you to the Toro Family for allowing us to utilize their property for the weekend and for the tours! In this episode we get to sit down in person with Nick of Fort Wendy Solventless, based in Michigan. We talk about how his passion for cannabis at an early age, developed into a life long passion for cultivating it. He tells us about closet grows in New York, warehouse grows in Chicago and how settling down in Michigan has allowed him to really focus on his craft as cultivator & dialing in his garden. We explore how solventless hash has helped inform his craft as cultivator over the last several years, with the aim of providing patients a glimpse of what the living garden feels like.
