We had to get alot of these people out of the door this week and it hurt! Kanye West is the hottest topic out now and his ridiculous remarks and antics used at creating a conversation as well as selling the hot line of GOOD Music projects. This weeks episode we are happy to have friends of aRowe Films and a trio of filmmakers known as Americas Front Porch Film Co. consisting of Nate Jones, Gina Bryant, and Roy Nugen. This three has made some of the most entertaining short films I have seen with a hint of styling reminiscent of Edgar Wright. They have a knack for dark comedy as seen in their film Bag Full of Trouble and their newest short Potboiler. We talk about how they came up together in this filmmaking industry and jump into a few topics such as women in films, some out favorite films, working the film festival circuit, and why Gina hasn't watched some of the greatest films of a generation. This case took the internet by storm. So its not that it has been a while but I have been battling some Mental Health Issues on top of trying to rework some things that have to do with building the network. As a lover of all things, true crime it's a very ill painted excitement to get the chance to do my first true crime episode of the podcast. This one is about Kenneka Jenkins, a 19-year-old found in a hotel freezer after partying with friends. The case as of this episode remains unsolved. With me doing the dance of armchair detective is Domonique Vontress who you may have heard in the background of the last episode during the Queen X Live recording with Autumn Black. She is a fan of true crime and all that extra mystery related stuff and is a little ball of energy. We dig into the weeds talking about the conspiracies cycling through the internet, some of the possibilities, and I was lucky enough to have a friend that works in the investigation field that I leaned on to research this show providing feedback to some of the weirdness in how this case is being handled and scenarios of possibilities. We do alot of speculation while trying to have a fair mind about the factual information. I am really excited to share this episode and hope you all enjoy it. We tried something new! Podcasting in front of the people We stopped by the Queen X Fall Release party Flawless Salon and Boutique at 4540 E 13th st Wichita Kansas to talk to the CEO and Editor in Chief of Queen X Magazine Autumn Black. Not only do we talk to her but the audience at her event chimed in throughout making for some interesting and informative exchanges. We briefly touched on the Kenneka Jenkins mystery (which I will cover in a later episode), Queen X and what it's about, Financial intelligence, Autumn's other business ventures, making Caddilac Chronicles, being a vegetarian, and I had to also remind a room full of black women that black men don't cheat... Elise Nyemb est blogueuse (Les bidouilles d'une Nappy) et créatrice du concept "So Natural...So me". A travers son blog crée en 2008, elle partage des astuces et conseils pour l'entretien de cheveux crépus avec des milliers de lectrices de part et d'autres du monde. Sa mission: la revalorisation du cheveu crépu. Mais Elise ne s'arrête pas là. En Juin dernier, elle ouvre un espace entièrement dédié au cheveu naturel à Douala, dans le but d'apporter un accompagnement aux femmes portant leurs cheveux naturels et pallier au manque de produits adaptés et accessibles. Nathalie Edimo est propriétaire d'"Ebony Hair Care", un salon de coiffure dédié au cheveu naturel et frisé situé à Douala crée en 2013, quelques années après son retour définitif au Cameroun. Cette férue de Marketing fait ses études entre la France et l'Angleterre et travaille pendant de longues années en tant que Cadre Marketing à France Telecom, pour ensuite migrer vers l'Italie où elle travaille pendant 10 ans dans le Marketing. En plus du salon de coiffure, équipé d'un espace enfant pour montrer la beauté du cheveu crépu aux petites filles, elle crée et commercialise sa propre marque de produits capillaires bio appelée BISA'A. Nathalie Lekobou est esthéticienne et cosméticienne, et présentatrice de l'émission "African Beauty" diffusée sur Vox Africa, dans laquelle elle reçoit des personnalités, artistes et femmes leaders Camerounaises qui partagent leurs secrets de beauté. Elle partage également avec les téléspectateurs des recettes beauté bio, économiques et fait-maison.
