Excuse Me...I have a written bit about this being the best podcast about Kendrick Lamar and the 175th greatest album of all time, Damn. Before we get to the album we wrap up a small package for the holiday season and discuss playing Christmas songs at weddings, giving presents to yourself, and weird wife Christmas cards. We also talk about what age you should let your kids start playing video games and shame a fantasy football quitter. We also discover an amazing storytelling podcast, Firebreathing Kittens. If you're into mystery-solving, comedic banter, and friendship, you should check out Firebreathing Kittens. Then at (1:01:00) we become a bit more humble and discuss Kendrick Lamar's fourth studio album, Damn. We discuss Pulitzer Prize winning music, Kendrick's dense slang and wordplay, and the best hip-hop songs with one word titles. Next week we welcome you to the terrordome where we become the best Public Enemy podcast and cover Fear of a Black Planet.

Kendrick Lamar is easily the most well respected and influential rapper of the late 2000s/2010s. His studio albums are meticulously crafted and undeniable. He draws inspiration from jazz, funk, and all the forms of hip hop that preceded him, and he frequently delivers lines that cut deep and leave you scratching your head for weeks. His first two albums, Section 80 and Good Kid m.A.A.D. city are focused on inner city life and paint a vivid picture of his surroundings growing up and their themes and concepts are pretty straightforward. Then, in "To Pimp a Butterfly" he takes all of that and blends it into a more abstract version of it, complete with psychedelic elements. Finally, in his fourth studio album, DAMN., he soars to a level that is both abstract and transcendent. On it's surface, it's a pretty straightforward Kendrick album, but as you look closer and closer, it shows a kaleidoscope of possibilities. A música sempre me acompanhou. Talking with comedians is always fun for me. In this episode talking with Ziggy The Comedian and Comedian Jay Stickem. We talk about (Jay-Z's controversial 4:44 Album & Kendrick Lamar's DAMN Album Review. Connect with Ziggy and Jay on Instagram as they continue to pursue their dreams. As you grow to know me you will see that humor is something that I need on the daily. Fun Fact About Jay-ZI was once a fanatic of Jay-Z. I would argue for hours to friends, strangers, and family proving by using lyrics and flow that Jay-Z was the greatest mc ever. I haven't lost family members because of these arguments but I have lost friends, and potential friends because of arguments about Jay-Z's greatness. As 4:44 is an album that new fans of Jay-Z are liking, its weird. Because In my opinion, Jay-Z has had the same message since 1995-1996. If you don't know much about Jay-Z. Go back listen to his entire catalogue of music. You will wonder how you made it through life without it. This was one of the first interviews I did for the I'm Kinda Famous podcast. I have said on the show many times I like to drop an interview when it helps the guest promote. Well this was recorded in the early days and now that the album dropped we finally put out this great deep discussion me and Wichita rap artist Big Sam aka Samuel David had on the art of music. Fresh off the release of Drake More Life and Kendrick Lamar Damn album we talk about both projects, ghostwriting, his new album the Book of Samuel David or as its first installment is known by Vol.1: Live for Once and somehow we went down the rabbit hole of music and had a great debate. This is a long episode but if you love music like I do you really will dig this one. When you are done go back and check episode 24 of IKF where we break down the Jay Z Album 4:44 and sometime soon we will get together and have this men's panel conversation.
