This week on the show I am joined by Phyphr. In this captivating conversation, we talk about all things Hulaween, he takes me back seven years to his first time at Hula (which was also his first ever music festival) and planting the seeds that would manifest this year into his first time at the festival as a performer. Phyphr talks about how he's getting fans involved in his set, the importance of community, being the catalyst for helping others realize their dreams, one word that describes what Hulaween means to him, the magic & energy of Suwannee Music Park, his favorite Halloween costume as a kid, what he's got on deck for 2025 (including a show at Cervantes in Denver) and more! From electric enclave's artist spotlight published on July 23rd: Phyphr is creating a buzz with his unique blend of electro-soul and funky electronic songwriting. Merging live guitar performances with electronic production, Phyphr brings a vibrant mix of instrumentation and original vocals to the forefront. His musical journey has led him to share stages with renowned acts such as The Floozies, Daily Bread, Manic Focus, SoDown, SunSquabi, and Maddy O'Neal.Originally from the east coast and now a Denver resident, Phyphr is adding his own twist to the Mile High City's electronic sound. His dynamic performances have graced festivals including Summer Camp, Cascade Equinox, Hulaween, Gem & Jam, Dreamscape, and Sonic Bloom. Phyphr's impact has been recognized by various publications, including 303 Magazine, River Beats Dance, Electric Hawk, This Song Is Sick, EDMTunes, and T.H.E Music Essentials.Phyphr's most recent album, “Catalyst,” has amassed over 250K streams since its debut in February 2023. “Catalyst Remixed”, a reimagined version, featuring Diskull, zoska, Common Creation and more multi-genre up and coming artists has garnished over 100K streams on Spotify. His new 3-track EP, “Valley of Death,” explores themes of darkness, light, and rebirth. Welcome Florida-bred, Denver-based electronic producer duo MZG to Episode 078! Zach and Charles Weinert are wildly talented yet humble and hilarious, studio wizards who can cook up with the best in the game. Many of us have long been convinced these two handsome gents are destined for superstardom, if not global EDM domination. I've had the privilege of watching the evolution of their craft, careers, collaborations, and trademark sound since before they were even performing as a duo, as well as call them real-life homies for nearly 15 years. Spirit of Suwannee/Hulaween magic, moving to electronic mecca Denver, distilling/focusing their sound. Unveiling house side-project Duplex. A classic tale of the ol' switcheroo, plastic bong/pocket-p*ssy/kazoo with a country cop, plus barrels more laughs and memories. We run thru a few of the most nuclear MZG bangers to finish strong. Bio: Twin brothers, Zach and Charles Weinert, spent many years working on separate musical projects, but in 2015, they relented to the inevitable and joined forces to create MZG. Shorthand for “monozygotic” (the scientific term describing identical twins), the name MZG describes the unique bond these two share. After honing their craft in Jacksonville, FL, the pair began playing out for audiences. MZG's reputation for setting dance floors aflame saw them soon sharing the stage with like-minded acts such as RL Grime, Herobust, and Opiuo, as well as earning residency at Florida festival mainstay Suwannee Hulaween. They've also appeared at festivals Sonic Bloom, Okechobee, and Electric Forest, among others. Rooted in Colorado the past six years, the brothers have wasted no time in making a mark, performing with respected state staples Big Gigantic, Griz, The Floozies, Barclay Crenshaw, and Manic Focus. These self taught musicians and producers deliver bass driven, hip-hop influenced electronica while sharing a chemistry on stage that is natural and infectious. Dirty Funky Bass Music but make it pretty. The vibe and soul of the Maddy O'Neal project combines soundscapes from all across the spectrum of genres…Rich in texture and atmosphere, her roots in funk and soul shine through in a bed of low end frequencies making for a unique environment for future bass and synth design to tie it all together. Hailing from Denver, Colorado you can hear the direct electro soul inspiration sprinkled in her productions but she has managed to carve out her own unique lane within the bass community. As a self taught producer and DJ, with a wildly creative upbringing, Maddy's expression was formed by way of soulful melodic overtones, driven basslines, and glitched out hip hop grooves. Maddy's live performances consist of original compositions, drum pads and an interwoven storyline ranging from down low grimey bangers to shimmery mid tempo vocal bass tracks and head nod disco. Her momentum is unstoppable as she has been touring the country for the last 5 years playing 90+ shows a year spreading her infectious energy from stage to stage. With hits like “Zest Please”; a collaboration with the iconic Clozee that amassed over 2 million Spotify plays in just one year, 4 EPs, a massive sophomore LP “Ricochet” in 2022 followed by 2 volumes of remix albums, Maddy's repertoire is ever expanding leaving fan bases across the world wanting more. Evan is deep into this work. We talked about vortex energy, implosion vs explosion technology as well as more practical subject matter like soil ph and more. We specifically talked about soil microbes and how these microbes need to be in the soil (which is also true of our gut considering that we are basically infolded gardens that can ambulate) in order for other substances like rock dust and ocean minerals to really work correctly. If we can pick fresh foods from our gardens (that are grown with manure, composting, ocean minerals, rock dust and soil microbes) and eat them, juice them or blend them right before eating them, than that is where the magic is on a physical level. Imagine picking all your fruits and vegetables from your garden that are grown this way and making a fresh vegetable juice with it? Can you imagine the amount of minerals, electricity and ormus that could be in a drink like that? I simply cannot imagine a food or supplement any more powerful than that. Since we are "extreme" we want to offer you the most cutting edge technology for growing your own food. Heck if you get even more into it you could add something like Sonic Bloom to the mix! :) We hope you enjoy this show with Mr. Evan Folds and if you do please pass it on to your friends and family who want to take their health to the next level. Since our current soils in America our depleted in vitamins and minerals, it would be in our best interest to start growing our own food with love. We appreciate each and every one of you and thanks for listening and sharing! Birthed out of the mountains and music festivals of Colorado, Mountain Mud Sunscreen was first conceived after the 2018 summer festival season. Co-founders Jai Wiglesworth and Anthony Steadman met and collaborated to create "production magic" at the Sonic Bloom and ARISE festivals. During ARISE, the co-founders were sharing ideas for future ventures and Jai mentioned a product he "brainstormed" but never got off the drawing board, CBD infused sunscreen. A light went off in Anthony's head as he thought about a friend he meet in St. Maarten ten years ago, a biologist and dive master who created an all natural, reef-safe sunscreen in Hawaii. She developed her product and passed the rigorous FDA testing process, and is currently being sold at Whole Foods in Hawaii, California, and Florida. With her help Jai and Anthony formulated Mountain Mud Sunscreen. Mountain Mud is the first CBD infused, biodegradable, non-nanotized mineral sunscreen, based on an FDA approved recipe sold in an eco-conscious package. Colorado sourced CBD isolate is used to ensure the sunscreen is THC free. Zinc-oxide is the active sunscreen ingredient and the other ingredients are organic oils. Mountain Mud is more than a sunscreen, it's skin food with an SPF. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/americanhemp/support

Some old stuff, some new stuff, and some cool work done by PVZ Heroes listeners.Subsequently, we do a little follow-up from Listener Eliotte, who sends us a neat Cursed Gargolith deck. Afterwards, we give Sonic Bloom the Card-Of-The-Week treatment. While we don’t think it’s a runaway A+, we discuss how it can be used and what sorts of cards it’s a drop-in replacement for. Synonym-for-nextwards, we discuss Mike’s Banana CC deck that he cruised to Ultimate with. His win rate with the deck was, if you’ll excuse the pun, bananas. We talk about what might be so sweet about it, how he came to build it, and why on hollow earth he’s not running Berry Blast. In this episode we welcome Jamie Janover from the Resonance Project.   Jamie Janover was taught by Nassim Haramein how to deliver presentations on his unified field theory in 2008 as one of The Resonance Project’s original 12 emissaries. In 2012, he became the Resonance Project’s first Ambassador and took over for Nassim in teaching 3-day Delegate Programs. Jamie has delivered more than 250 comprehensive presentations and a dozen Delegate Program weekends on Nassim’s work at private events, conferences and festivals wold-wide in places as far-reaching as New Zealand, Egypt, India, Canada, Indonesia, Spain, Costa Rica, Australia, Portugal, Mexico and all-across the USA.   Jamie Janover has long been interested in the intersection of science and all things considered spiritual and metaphysical, so when he first came across Nassim Haramein lecturing at a music festival, all the dots connected. Ever since that time in the summer of 2002, he has been delving ever deeper into the world of unified physics and ancient cultures through the lens of Nassim Haramein’s theories, sharing resonant information in presentations he delivers while on tour as a musician.   Jamie Janover is recognized as a musical innovator. His endeavors include: being a master of the ancient percussion stringed instrument called the hammered dulcimer, (he won the National Hammered Dulcimer Championship in 2002), inventing and performing on an instrument he calls the "Mini-Kit" (a miniature amplified drum kit), playing Pyrocussion (fire drums) and creating the RealmsMobile (a recumbent tricycle with the mini-kit attached, enabling him to ride and play drums simultaneously). Jamie’s current main musical touring project is called Janover & reSunator with his partner (and RPF Emissary), Lezlie Sunshine Chang. By combining recent innovations in modern technology with the wisdom of ancient instruments, they achieve a balance between the electronic and the acoustic, the masculine and the feminine, to create a unified field: music reflective of and resonant with the nature of modern times.    When not playing music or lecturing on unified field theory, you can find Jamie connecting dots around the world in his extensive travels and collaborations in multiple creative realms including creating stunning images as a professional photographer and making sculpture works using natural found objects or produces music events, including a summer electronic music festival in Colorado called SONIC BLOOM.

For the first Memekast of 2012 we offer up a 22 minute mix from Los Angeles native, ChrisB. We were drawn to the smoother sexier, more melody driven productions that only partly describe Chris's sound. But don't get it twisted, it's not all chocolates and silk panties. There's a mad amount of chopped up West Coast crunkedelic vocals and slick, morphing basslines moving around under his straightforward Hip Hop style beats. We were lucky enough to catch multiple performances from Chris this Summer. Most notable was his impromptu morning set at Sonic Bloom and his sunrise set at Nexus, with fellow musician Gladkill, playing as More Champagne. Boldly exploring vast melodic realms full of hypnotic textures and a heavy dose of emotionally-resonant driving bass, his high energy live performances never fail to inspire each person in the audience. Unlike many of his contemporaries, he is utterly unafraid to toss aside the crutch of 'brute-force' sonic assaults and instead relies only on his brilliant melodic compositions. Chris’s sound reflects a developed musicality not often associated with the bulk of contemporary electronic music. — ChrisB's Bio
